Their prices may be good but it is not worth it - their technique is terrible. My UV gel fill from them lasted less than a week while UV gel typically lasts up to 3 weeks for me. And then to make it worse my UV gel removal consisted of the nail tech picking it off with an extra acrylic nail… how is that proper removal?! When I commented on it nobody could give me an appropriate response. They completely damaged my nails, I was horrified. I’ll never go back there.
I called to make an appointment for 3 pm for my niece and myself. When I arrived at 3 pm they had 4 people waiting for a pedicure. As the nail technicians began to finish they started asking everyone waiting what service they needed. Even though I was there for a while they preferred to take someone else in line. I was asked by 3 different technicians and they would seem annoyed because I had powder on my nails. They finally took my niece in for her nails at 3:40. There was no sympathy and honestly I felt discriminated. I decided to not proceed with my services and when I told them all of a sudden someone was available to take me. I have been to this nail salon before and loved it but today I am leaving with such a bitter taste that I will never return. No one should be treated this way. If you do use their service I hope they treat you better.
The gel pedicure was good. But the gel manicure was horrible. The girl literally just quickly filed my nails and applied the gel. No wash, no lotion, no removal of cuticles.. nothing. I actually had to ask for the lotion. Horrible. And they charged me $65 for that horrible service. Not going again, and not recommending it.
I forgot about this place for awhile then decided not to go into Hoboken and stay up in the heights. Prices are pretty standard (55 total for pedi and gel manicure) but what I loved was the mini leg And foot massage with the regular pedicure. Also not a crazy selection of gels (which I prefer) and I found one that matched my toes. I will definitely begin coming here again as Hoboken gets very busy and the service up here and cleanliness was great. Only drawback when I booked online I had to pay upfront and they couldn’t find my payment. Had to show the receipt so don’t delete!
The service was great up until I was lied to about pricing. I specifically asked for a regular Mani Pedi multiple times, even when she asked me about the spa pedicure I said no. She then proceeded to give me a five minute massage & said it was included. I was charged $10 more bc I got a massage & the price I was requesting was for a regular mani pedi. I advise to pay online if you dont want to get overcharged. I wanted to leave her a great tip for the work she did, but bc of this she only got the minimum.
I have been to this place 5 times. Previous visits were okay but I continue to go for their price point and convenience to my apartment. However, this last visit was my last one. The lady who did my mani and pedi was rushing and didn’t do a good job. It felt like a churn and burn operation where they want to rush you out. They weren’t even busy and I was the only client in a chair. I specifically go there for their $25 mani and pedi special which makes lack of good service somewhat tolerable since I’m a dude and don’t need anything fancy. The nail tech took it upon herself to massage my legs for 5 minutes without advising me of any up-charge and then tells me at the end that it will cost me an additional $10 for that! It felt very scammy and unprofessional. I will no longer be going and for a place that is always dead when I go, now will have one less client.
Very clean everything is sterilized. The girls that work there are very nice . Ive been going for a couple of years now. Cindy is absolutely wonderful!
I absolutely would recommend this place, I love it. It was my first time and I’ll definitely be coming more often!
Theyre very nice here.I travel 45 mnts to get my nails done here. Theyre clean.
When I called for an appt I asked what the price would be after getting my nails done they charged much more. It was not the length I wanted they filed So much they cut my cuticles which hurt badly now . This was my first time there they know nothing about designs. My friend advised me not to go because she got her nails done and they fell off within a week I wanted to try it out because not everyone is the same but she was so right I should have listened to her . The place is very nice but they know nothing about nails. I will never go there again.
Nice ladies, but really horrible job they need more experience for sure!
Went there for French! They are expensive for no reason.. utterly disappointed I could have done a neater French line they were all uneven and the lady just dosent listen to you and keeps saying the top coat will fix it! How will the top coat fix the crooked French nail line? They are just too much in a rush and just want to get the job done they don’t care how it’s done. I will never go back! Utter waste of money!Attaching just 2 fingers as I removed it as soon as I came home thought I should share before I remove everything!
I got a dip powder french manicure here and it was amazing! I got exactly what i asked for
Nice good service, manicure and pedicure.
Ill start with the fact that both me and my roommate booked apts for an acrylic fill at 6:45p. my roommate was serviced first around 6:55 while i sat and waited until 7:25 for my 6:45 apt. one lady started doing my nails, and another lady took over after my polish was taken off by the first nail technician - it seemed that only one nail technician there was able to do acrylics, as i had to wait for my roommate to be completely finished with her nail apt to get mine finished. I asked for her to trim my nails and she refused saying they were too short already (they absolutely werent) she also said it would be an additional $5 to CUT MY NAILS ? as she continued to do my fill in, i noticed that most of my nails were different shapes. she told me as she continued to work, my nails would look even and straight. she stopped after my acrylic was dry and then passed me off to the same lady who took my polish off. this nail technician clearly did not know how to work w acrylic nails as she leaned over me and the other nail tech who was filling my nails, seeing how she did it. needless to say, my nails are still crooked and the shape is completely off. i got a blue gel color on top and two days later, two nails are completely chipped. to top things off, the woman who painted my nails was incredibly rude. I watched a younger lady hand my roommate a warm towel to wash her hands (she was super sweet and very personable). i watched this lady personally put the towel on my roommates hands and begin to make small talk with her, as any business owner who wants repeat business should be doing. the lady who painted my nails basically threw the towel on the sink for me and walked away. i will never spend a dime there ever again
I went here only because it was so close to me. I was hesitant at first because the reviews werent great. I am not sure what all those people were complaining about. I am very happy with my experience here. My technician was very through and the price is very reasonable compared to Hoboken. I got an SNS (Dip/Powder) Manicure. I also appreciated that he did 3 layers of the powder. They have a large selection of colors which was nice too. $30 for gel manicure and $40 for SNS manicure. This place is definitely worth a try if you live near by instead of getting ripped off in Hoboken.
Im going to stop going to this place for the following reasons.1. They dont paint your entire nail. Always leave the bottom of the nail unfinished. I asked the lady to paint the entire nail,s said no because the cuticle grows there. Sure, but so does my nail and the gap always remains visible.2. I went last weekend and my gel manicure is already peeling.3. The cleanliness of the equipment they used is questionable.
Ive only ever had great experiences at this salon. I love a local, kind shop!!
First time I went here was great because of a young lady who attended me. Apparently she left or quit idk After that I went back twice and each time was worse than the previous. I got attitude from everyone. They will joke/ speak about you like you dumb and can’t see that they are making fun of you. They do not take their time to do your nails nor aim to please you. And on top of that are expensive for no reason. It’s not like they do great nail work. I will never go back
I was rushed the whole way through, they didnt have the first two colors I picked so it took a while to match my toes, then the gel polish didnt dry all the way and she kept telling me it was dry. Yet everytime I touched my nail my finger print stuck to it. She annoyingly grabbed my hands and put oil and lotion on them but I kept telling her, hey I dont think this is dry so she grab polish remover and removed the top coat of gel polish. Proof that it wasnt freaking dry cause gel polish doesnt just come off like that especially after putting it under the light. This is not even the color I wanted 🤦🏾♀️ but I didnt want to give her a hard time and my toes were in the process of drying.Totally not the birthday nails I wanted. Then she got mad cause I didnt tip enough. Well, were both mad now 🤷🏿♀️.
Good price and gel manicure lasts - Easy, quick, and never a long wait
I love my nails so much I loved how they did them!!👍🏼
Very nice quiet professional nail salon, fast service not a long wait like many salon that i have left bc the long wait
Nicely decorated and comfy salon. Salon has an array of colors. Mani/ pedicurist was very nice, she did a good job on both my hands and feet. They are a bit over priced. In staten island a mani/pedi is $23, JC creative nail charges $30. However I didnt mind paying because I liked the environment and was pleased with the work that was done.
Where to begin? First off I never write reviews on Yelp, Google or any type of review sites so for me to take the time to do so now speaks volumes. Ive been a loyal customer for the past two years, since the 1st week they opened. I was excited to see a new nail salon open up in my neighborhood close to my house that looked super clean and offered dip powder nails something that wasnt offered in many places. The owner is geniuely a very nice woman so I did feel bad telling her I wasnt coming going back to her salon and honestly feel a little bad having to write this review but I feel like other people should be warned. This place is always short staffed. Ive had to come back numerous times to get nails redone or complain about nails looking/being filed uneven, nails filed to almost my skin, and having my cuticle cut. I should have listened to my boyfriend when he told me to stop going there but I kept telling him they always fixed whatever issues I had and I didnt have my options to choose from. Today was the last straw, I hadnt been here in more than 2 months because the owner went on vacation for 2 months and left other people running it in her absence. It was a disaster everytime I came in, wait time was anywhere from an hour to almost 2 hours. When it was finally your turn most of the technicians would just rush thru your manicure/acrylic because more people were walking thru there doors. All the technicians there dont do a very good job except for a newer girl named Michelle I think? Shes the only one who honestly takes the time to make sure your nails are a good shape and to your liking without rushing thru your manicure. The owner manicures are a hit or miss, when its not crowded theyre really really good, when its crowded the poorest and lowest quality you can think of, shell stop in between your manicures without asking to start someones pedicure or do someones eyebrows. Theyll leave you soaking gel or sns for an hour and take people who have just walked in or have easier services. Super unprofessional and inconsiderate to do when Im also trying to get my nails done. Today I went in and there was literally 2 technicians and 3 people waiting while the owner did a manicure and stopped to do a pedicure.... at the same time. I got my eyebrows done by another young lady there waited about 15 minutes and walked out. You would think that after my loyalty of two years a simple sorry or please come back to make it up to you was said. The owner let me walk out like it was my 1st time ever seeing me, Ive spent hundreds at this place and they didnt even have the decency to apologize or give me an incentive to come back. Youre providing a service to me, not the other way around. Needless to say I will never be back at JC Creative Nails, oh and btw they have no nail designs to choose from so not sure how or why they named themselves Creative Nail and how that was chosen. Good luck to whoever decides to come here, remember my post when youre disappointed. In the meantime Ill check out Cuteicles or make my way to Aldona Nails in Union City theyre both a bit pricier but the quality and final product are way better.
I went in for a refill on my nails it was done I went for a pedicure $5 was charged to remove the gel Polish while doing my pedicure I looked at my nails they were not cut evenly and they were not filed properly the sides were rugged not And not smooth I went back for it to be cleaned up she tried to fix it but attention was not paid to details and was done very quickly I am very unhappy with the service that I received the staff was not friendly did not feel comfortable the only good thing about the salon is that it is clean I will never go back.
Totally unsatisfied and I hate it. Waste of money.
I like to go as much as I can. So far only one girl doesnt do feet that well.
Ask for Sally shes my favorite!...
Very clean and people very attentive to their work. All sterilized. I recommend it.
