As a longtime customer of Wendys Nails and Spa now Taras Nails and Spa today I have been let down. Sad to say I love this place and the product that comes out of it however today I was cut pretty bad I even bled. My nails were done by Tara which value her work but after being cut and bleeding with no recognition to customer service when asked for a discount she stated I could never return again!!!. Wow, never have I receive service like this here before the new management takeover. She stated no one had asked for a discount before so because I have I can no longer return. I am in shock of this poor customer service. No apology was given at all but expected for a full payment of excellent service. Total disappointment. I am not here to bash the company or their product because that is good, however being turned away for future service after the nail tech has cut me the customer makes no sense.

Hung, (Jason), did absolutely phenomenal. He took his time and made sure the finished product was amazing. The atmosphere here was relaxed, and definitely recommended by me. If I could give more stars, I would.

Walked in and showed the staff a design that I asked if they could do. Was told okay at the door but it was only after I was seated and had nail tips on that I was then told they could, in fact, not do my design. The nail tech was nice but couldn’t properly give me the shape I wanted. It looked so bad I had to tell her to go with a different shape. Overall, was kinda disappointing.

DO NOT IGNORE THE BAD REVIEWS!!! They are very accurate! This place is dirty and the staff are very unprofessional! The pedicure is supposed to come with complimentary wine but it did not! They dont clean after each customer! One of the staff I watched service two ppl and didnt even change gloves! How disappointing and disgusting! They need to shut down immediately. Just look how they respond unprofessionally to negative reviews! They dont know how to be professional in any capacity!

Saw all the pictures on Google profile went to social media site and saw even better work. Wrote them on messenger and received great communication. Sent Jason a picture of what I wanted made an appt. He told me what all he would do. Treated me very kindly. All the staff was nice, friendly, hilarious, and it was a awesome atmosphere. Ive been to quite a few shops and none were as good as Wendys. Best customer service experience. My first time there. I left very satisfied.

Amazing customer service. Amazing quality. Awesome prices. Awesome conversation. I havent had my nails done in years. I was nervous about going in again, but Tara made me feel comfortable and cared about. Not only was she super nice, she was fast and my nails look fantastic!

Hit or Miss with this salon. Some days i go in and leave with flawless acrylics but other times i get a completely sh*tty job. The person doing your nails matter because some of the workers have no idea when they’re doing. My nails were not and even shape all across and my thumbs were longer then my other fingers. Polish applied poorly and overal application of the tips are bad today. the polish messing up was on me because i touch things a lot but i was under the dryer for about 30 minutes waiting for another worker to be done and i have to say i’m very dissatisfied. they also did my lashes and eyebrows and that portion of my appointment was wonderful they did a great job but as for my nails i actually hate to say this but I HATE MY NAILS! i paid $25 for my nails and honestly i should’ve paid $10 or just did them myself.

Completely unprofessional. I booked an appointment with this salon for 2 Diamond Pedicures a few days in advance via their online booking software on their website for myself and my grandmother. When we arrived on time for our appointment, we had to wait a few minutes to be acknowledged, then once we were noticed, we were told that they had just started someone elses Diamond pedicure (35min service) and that it would be a while. We were told this from across the room in a What are you doing here? Youre being an inconvenience tone. Then the lady who told us that turned away. I waited a couple of minutes in disbelief, then asked how long exactly the wait would be. Once they said it would be about 40min, I asked what about my appointment. When I said that I had booked an appointment, I was told Oh, we dont do same day appointments. When I told them that I had booked it a few days ago, the guy looked completely confused and checked his computer. I had gotten email confirmations for the appointments, since I made two separate ones for the same time. Basically, I had made an appointment, arrived on time, was completely dismissed, and they obviously do not use their online scheduler on the website. Very dissatisfied with this business and will not be returning.

Top of the line service!! I cant even tell you in words how good Jason is he is very talented professional and on top of everything else hes a very kind and caring person!! I obviously would recommend Wendys to any and everyone!!!

I called ahead to make sure they were available to do two pedicures for me and my friend and I was told yes. We arrive and wait for a while and then were called to get our pedicures. After starti my pedicure Tara directed the guy who is doing my pedicure to stop my pedicure to go paint someone else toes. After another ten minutes he comes back to finish my pedicure and began to remove my gel polish with out asking first and had the audacity to charge $5 for removing the polish that I made clear I did not want removed. This place is horrible!! I didnt even go into detail about how dirty the place was!!!

Wendys is fantastic everytime i go. Very friendly, they conversate with you and not rudely to others!! Very personal experience, i love it. I dont feel awkward like i do at other places. Very welcoming.

Took me 40 mins to get to the appointment. Got there and they could not do the design I asked for and because theyre so expensive I didnt want to do the bare minimum. I ended up leaving empty handed with another 40 mins to travel.Bottom line, enquire if the Tech has the appropriate skills (and show pics) before you make the trip.

I just had my nails done here for my Birthday on Aug 7 2020 and I had a great experience!!! I had no wait time I did make an appointment the same day. The worker I had was Kylie, she was Awesome!! My nails came out great. I also had a great experience with the lady who did my pedicure im sorry i forgot her name but they all have a great personality and make u feel comfortable!! I got a gel pedicure but it only lasted a week which never happened to me before. They also need more skilled nailtechs outside of the owner.

I have been coming here since I moved to Jacksonville a little over 5 years ago and I loved them. But recently Ms. Wendy sold the salon. And needless to say the new owners are Trash🗑🚮. They are over priced! I’m talking high. There’s no prices posted so you do know how much are spending until it’s to late.

I find it ironic that there is a sign on the door stating that masks are required when two of the nail techs jd three clients werent wearing one. As soon as I walked into the salon I got a headache because the smell of chemicals was so strong even with my mask on.I requested an SNS soak off. The older lady that did it did not wear a mask and then took a hit of her VAPE when I sat down. I was left alone with my hands in a bowl of acetone while she waited on other clients. I had to ask to checkout because I was so ready to get out of that place. It was not clean and not professional. I was going to get a gel pedicure as well but decided against it one because it just looked so unsanitary and two because they didnt even have a sample of colors to choose from. At that point I just didnt want to waste my time.I honestly could not get out of there fast enough. And as soon as i left I called my usual nail salon and none of the technicians there vape when their doing my nails.

They do not value their customers even tho they are overpriced!

The quality of the nail job wasnt that great. Chipped within a week and the color came out dull. The nail techs were great, though, and they offered wine.

No because the lady was there was parked in the handy Capt parking space asked her if she had a handy capt placard she ran into the store and I only ask because my wife is handy Capt she gave me a nasty look . So due to that I hope that no one goes there

I hadnt found a great nail place that could really fulfill all the cool things I saw on Pinterest until I saw a friend of mine post pictures of her nails from Wendys.I jammed a nail and needed to get them done ASAP and my regular girl was unavailable, so I decided to come here.Upon the referral I was given $5 off for my services, and my friend receives $5 off her future services. Which was pretty cool, since I didnt expect it.I made an appointment (absolutely necessary because they tend to fill up quickly), and was seated with Jason. I gave him an idea of what I wanted from a Pinterest photo, and he was able to create the look and then some. He gave it his own spin.The decor is beautiful with privacy curtains for the pedicure chairs, Amazon TV to watch movies, and a complimentary drink of choice while you do your nails (wine - moscato or sangria, soda, or water). I obviously chose the free glass of wine at 11 am (fermented fruit juice, dont judge me!).Jason was friendly and explained what he was doing when it came to my nails, like why he made them thinner in the coffin shape, and how he was putting the gems on.I have to say, I am excited to come back to get some really cool stuff done for the holidays and in general. I love my nails, and I loved the service. Would definitely come back.If you choose to go based on this review, give them my name for $5 off your first service!

Always a pleasure getting serviced here! I recently moved 3hrs away so now my visits to Jacksonville are coordinated around my nail appointments. Prices are great, quality is the best, no extra fees for the little stuff. It will be extremely difficult to find someone to replace my Wendy 💜 I love the entire Wendy’s Nail Spa family 🥰

I love this shop & they have great prices! You have to make an appointment, and that makes the experience even more great. Ive never had to wait longer than 5 minutes (if that) while my tech finishes up with a client before me. There is a great positive atmosphere here. From what i can tell, everyone here does a great job.

Loved the work and the people.

They do some great work here, but unfortunately my nail tech did a really poor job. I walked out paying $90 and the nail art/crystal design was awful. When I got in the car, I noticed crystals were stacked on top of each other, my middle fingers had crystals that were completely different sizes, and it overall was not a professional job. Whatever you do, ask for the owners or an experienced nail tech. Do not ask for Ari. I also showed her exactly what I wanted which was very simple, and several times she objected and said It doesnt have to look like the picture!! and did her own really bad design and charged me extra for it. It was very awkward. Thank God for the complimentary glass of wine.

Only salon I will trust with my nails! Have been coming here for years and always leave with my nails looking beautiful and unique. I am in construction and am constantly using power tools and hazardous materials and my nails never break or fall off. Crazy right! Eye-lash extensions are flawless too! on top of it all everyone in the salon is kind and enjoyable to be around! Would highly recommend Wendy’s Nail and Spa and can’t wait for the second location to open!

I came at the time I had to come! I lost my time ! because he didnt want to do the full set, I had an event at 6:00 now I ran out of my eyelashes, she said I didnt have time and yet I was lying on a stretcher with my cell phone doing nothing .VERY BAD EXPERIENCE !

Today was my first time and Wendy is amazing. She did everything I asked and more. I had a terrible experience at another salon and she listened to what I wanted, and gave me just that. My nails are perfect and I will be back.

First time in and they were not only very accommodating but able to fulfill all of my complicated nail ideas. The environment was extremely friendly and non judgmental. Amy and Meeka were amazing. I definitely recommend!

Today was my first time going here and it completely blew me away. I’ve been getting my nails done for probably four years and no nail salon has ever possessed the kindness or talent as this one does. Amy did long coffin style nails on me and she was the first person to ever do the shape perfectly! Her skill is amazing and she is extremely wonderful to chat with! Not only is the quality of the nails 10/10 but so are the prices! Finally a place that isn’t overpriced and yet they can do ANYTHING. Today was the first day of my loyalty to this place

If I could give 0 stars I would. I came here for a simple pedicure and manicure with my sisters we called prior to coming in to asked the wait time and Tell them the service that we needed they told us it was okay. They also told us the wait time was 15 mins..... LIE. Then AFTER I was already in the spa chair continued to tell us that they can’t do all our services because they was about to close but already agreed to it over the phone and also when we came in, the store owner then says “ you can either get your nails done or your feet done we can’t do both” it was just upsetting because we drove all the way across town to come here and it was just a waste of gas and time. I wouldn’t be upset if we just walked in but we made sure we called before going to avoid run ins like this one. I will never return to this location.

Great clean and very professional shop. Very patient when deciding what to do for my design. They can do any nail shape and design. Great nail techs almost feel like family. Definitely going back and it’s definitely my to go salon from now on

Im new to Jacksonville and this is the first Nail Salon Ive tried. The technician was named Madison and she did an excellent job on my Pedicure and the Gel Fill in manicure. She has a gentle touch and was very thorough. This will be the nail salon I will use....it could be a little cleaner and they could offer WiFi

So I was REALLY excited to try this salon out and left pretty happy ( minus a few things but that’s due to what I decided to do not what the nail tech did), but unfortunately the quality wasn’t as up to par as I thought it to be. It’s only been a week and one nail has already fallen off and I have another lifting. They have a two week policy where if you’re having issues you can come back and they will fix. That’s great and all but I live an hour away and unfortunately don’t have the time to come in for a fix. I may or may not be back. Really feel let down because it’s soooo hard finding nail techs who genuinely care about what they do and that’s ultimately what brought me to this salon.

If I could give this place 100 stars I would !! I came in as a walk in close to when they were closing and they stayed an hour and 10 min after to make sure my nails were perfect! I really love this place

I walked in and was seen immediately which was great, I showed them a picture of what I wanted and wad tools they couldnt do exactly but can do similar. I like the shape of the nails but the design sudged and I didnt realize til I was on my way home, I called and spoke to Jason who said I can cone back anytime to fix. Ill try them again but next time check thoroughly before I walk out. Otherwise seems like a fairly decent place

Yesterday was my first time getting my nails done EVER. It was actually the first nail salon that I have ever stepped foot in. From the time my friend and I walked in they treated us kindly and was very patient in explaining the entire process to us. We laughed, we talked, we gossipped, we watched movies. It was an overall enjoyable experience and I will be back. Madison will always be my Nail Tech.

I heard about Wendys through from my neighbor and I decided to stop by and it was the best nail experience I have ever had! They give complementary drinks, the staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere was inviting. Amy did my nails and she was amazing. She has definitely made a regular customer!!

Amy who did my waxing was thorough, pleasant and knowledgeable. She was great!My daughter and I both had pedicures by the same lady and each of us realized on the way home, that she did not do a decent job for either of us. She performed the bare minimum of what it took and complained to everyone how she was hungry and had been in the same chair since 9 am. By far the worst pedicures we have ever had.

I tried them out based on the reviews and Im soooo glad I did. I called and they squeezed me in within 1.5hr of calling on a saturday! They were busy but still everyone had a great, welcoming attitude. The chemical smell is strong at first bit after a while its not noticable. Sandy did my nails and I just loved her personality. We talked like we were friends and it was my 1st time being there. LoL. Everyone was so helpful and Sandy made sure I was completely happy when I left. Prices were great too compared to alot of places. I got the gel manicure and it was $30 which included a removal also. Definitely try this place. Its worth it!!

If you’re not a “regular” don’t even bother going. I went in and asked for a fill on a Monday at 1245 and they said they couldn’t see me for 3 hours. I went online to see their availability and they were clearly wide open.

Some of the nails techs are fresh out of school and still practicing so its a hit or miss. Ive been cut I dont know how many times. I know who and who not to go to. The pedicures arent that great and instead of a relaxing massage they just slap feet for some reason.

I love this nail salon. Very professional and they make you feel like its all about you when your in the chair. They greet everyone that walk in. 👍👍

I couldnt stand chemical smell in salon, headache started in 15 mins. I had my gel polish done here with unknown chinese gel polishes, which was burning my nails while drying. Also lady who was making my nails was using old techniques. I asked how long Ill have this unknown gel on my nails...she said up to three weeks...in two days my polished started comming off! Poor sanitary conditions.. all tools looks like was used before and not cleaned and even towels has dirty and old look.

I get my nails done here every two weeks and this is by far the best nail salon Ive ever been too....The whole staff is friendly and no charge for broken nails which is nice bc I work at Amazon. . Jason is the best!!!!;

After seeing pictures and reviews online I was really excited to try this salon out. I was hoping it could become my go-to salon. But I was highly disappointed. I got there at 9:45am (they open at 9). I wanted a pedicure and fill in. When I walked in the owner was friendly to me but very condescending to the girl she assigned to me. The girl started prepping the pedicure. The water was cold for most of the pedicure and I had to ask her to switch it out for warmer water which was barely warm. Im 9 months pregnant so I was looking forward to a relaxing pedicure. The girl did good on my toes but the spa massage I paid an extra $5 for was weak and pretty pointless. This pedicure also took an hour. Next was the nails. Girl spent 30 minutes shaping my nails horribly so I had to keep pointing out that they were extremely crooked. Then the owner tells her to start drilling and shape them later. Took another TWO HOURS to fill in nails I had just got done 2 weeks prior. Then I had to tell her to buff them and that I needed to wash my hands. This is standard procedure in any salon. I then went on the get a horrible nail design. The girl couldnt even make a decent flower. My nails are a hot mess and when the owner saw them even she said meh. So overall I was there from 9:45am - 1:40pm on a MONDAY!! And my nails look horrible. All of the other workers seemed wayyy more knowledgeable and when I asked for a different worker I was told they all had appointments. I am very disappointed as a first timer. The girl who did my nails was obviously new so I gave her a chance but seriously she shouldnt be doing nails until she practices a lot more!! I felt like because I wasnt a regular or a favorite my nails didnt really matter. Never going back, which sucks because they have an awesome portfolio. Sighs!!

So, I go here for a mani/pedi because of the kick ass reviews and ended up walking out. Clearly they were busy and instead of telling me they couldnt do it, they sit me in a pedicure chair for over 30 minutes before someone finally comes and removed the polish from one foot only to have to go and do someones eyelashes, again, who apparently had an appointment. I wasted almost 45 minutes that could have been used going someplace else. Never again!

They are very friendly all technicians are trained personally by the owners it is very clean and professional. The only thing I would suggest is to make an appointment because they are sometimes so full they cant see anymore walk ins depending on the time of day you go
