My pictures says it all!! Jay is my go to nail guy, he does all the designs on point not only do I leave there feeling like I got the best nails around 😁 it’s such great quality very impressive. He also does my sister’s nails and she’s picky about where she goes enough said. He knows what he’s doing so he works fast so if I have to wait I know it’s not for long. I’ve gotten my boyfriend name on my nails before by other nail places but no one compares to his freestyle letter looks like stickers!

Sat in the chair for 2 hours while an older lady worked on my nails. She was nice but she moved so slowly. I had to point out every uneven nail and ask her to fill it in, all of my nails are uneven and she ripped off one of my acrylics and I just realized she didn’t redo it, she just painted my nail. I told the lady checking me out about my experience and she said “sorry next time make an appointment”. Unacceptable. I would go back for them to fix, but I can’t imagine spending another minute in the chair. This place is terrible. I will never go back or recommend this.

I have been looking for a trusty nail tech for 5+ years. A good friend of mine recommended Jay here At Kernan Nails. From the beginning, I was blown away how precisely he listened to how I like my nail shape. He never disappoints!! This establishment has a clean and pretty atmosphere and everyone is always so nice. I love going to Kernan Nails. Jay is amazing and he is so funny. He treats you like family and makes your visit the best while you are getting your nails or feet done. I am so happy that I found a great place to go get my nails and toes done. There is one guy that is amazing with pedicures. I feel so bad I can’t remember his name. The staff are clean, talented and friendly. One of my favorite things about Kernan nails is that they are affordable and professional. They are very transparent about prices and will never trick you into getting some expensive service like most nail salons do. Jay does my acrylics and he is incredible! He’s always quick but precise and can do just about anything you ask of him. I have never been let down by this nail place, I highly recommend them.

I was in the shop today to get a full set and Henry and he jacked my nails up! The shape is off and he gave me that ugliest nail design!! Didnt look anything like my picture! If he couldnt do the design he shouldnt have tried to do it! Im very upset!! 🤬.. I also sat there for over two hours as he had to keep getting up to service other customers, I at least expected my nails to be on point! After I expressed that I didnt like the design I was STILL charged $52 for this HOT MESS!!

I moved to Florida a couple month ago and my friend brought me here and I’ve been coming since. I drive from the westside to the south side just for them. Jay and his wife are awesome!! Everyone definitely provides great customer service. You’ll definitely feel welcome each time you come. I haven’t been disappointed once.

My nail tech is Jay abs Tina does my toes. They are what I like to call top shelf. I highly recommend them both you will not be disappointed.

I gave it a chance I usually see Jay but he is no longer there an what I wanted an what I got is two different things an on top of it was charged way more I was ever charged before wont go bk my nails underneath have globs they were not cleaned I waited with foil on my nails for over an hour he didnt pay attention to what he was doing worried about people coming in an tending to them.. an I of for a service that sucked

I got a pedi done at Kernan nails. I live behind there in Kensington, so figured..... On my right big toe, there was still a line of cuticle, there was also a smudge on my left big toe (maybe from hitting the table to dry). I was there less than 2 weeks ago & already took it off due to chipping & just ehh. I have been trying places closer to me & havent been happy.

I’ve been going to Jay for almost over a year now. I’ve never had a less than great experience. Always on time, clean and professional.

I have lived in Jacksonville for 6 years and I am EXTREMELY particular about how my mani/pedi is done (third world problems I know). But I just found this place a month ago and have had a mani/pedi 2x so far and cannot say enough. Tony is amazing and is so detail oriented. My feet have never looked so perfect!!! His massages are amazing and you can tell how much he cares about a customer’s experience. And I believe her name is Vae or Van, but she is soooo sweet and is a perfectionist at best. The salon is clean, relaxing, and they are always on time. I hope to continue to have such a good experience because the worst thing is paying someone for a service and leaving with a bad experience and quite frankly a bad mani/pedi lol. They’re worth every penny here :)

Good service for the cost if you are looking for a simple pedicure. Polish is DND DC which is on the lower end, only a few OPI colors that didn’t look too fresh. What bothered me the most was that the door is covered with posters about strict covid protocols yet the staff inside were not wearing masks. I felt extremely uncomfortable because of that the entire time.

The owner disrespected client. I was call make appointment with Jay. ( he not work there anymore )But the owner still set up appointment for me with Jay like he still working there. This is disrespectful with client. You guys want come to this salon to get nails done, think twice before come in.

This was my first time here and honestly it’ll probably be my last. For starters I gave it a 2 star only because my toe nails look good but the overall pedicure experience could’ve been better. I also got a manicure full set acrylic and not even 5 minutes after leaving my polish is messing up. I had it in their “dryer” for 10 minutes. I only used quotations because the so called dryer is only UV lights and no fan. The staff was friendly but the fact that they were eating food in front of everyone and even sitting in the pedicure chairs while watching tv and eating was not very professional. Pricing was great but overall could’ve been better.

This is Jons friend Tammy writing this review. Worst experience ever! Went here from out of town and regretted it completely! Should have waited till I got back home to Tampa. Looks like a 8 year old painted my nails. Please dont waste your money here girls. Took absolutely forever. Pedicure was not relaxing, massage chair didnt work and they wouldnt move me. Girl kept getting up every two min and seemed very distracted. Save your money

Had a very good experience with Van. When I came in I had a bit of a wait but it was worth it. I had a mani/pedi and was very satisfied. Ill be coming back again soon. All the way from Georgia. 👍🏾😊

I had my nails filled yesterday and they look terrible. I will never go back. I do not suggest you waste your money or time here. The employees are all about doing it too fast and dont pay attention.

We won’t be back. I had black/green under one nail and 2 other nails are lifting. And my daughter first time getting her nails done has black lines one of her nails, and her acrylic nails keep falling off. I’ve never experienced this.

Ive been going to this place for YEARS! Ive seen it transform into a VERY chique day spa atmosphere. Pricing is reasonable, and the pedicures are the best Ive ever had. Stacy is my favorite :) The facials are fabulous! When I moved to Vegas, I made sure to visit when I was home. Now that I am moving back to FL I will make sure THIS is my ONLY place for nails, pedis and facials!

Asked for oval shape. Shape was uneven and did not match on each hand. Worst of all, cuticles bled days after. Gel polish also did not last more than 3 days before it started wearing off.

Been a regular customer for years. Got my sister and daughter going here too. Plus have referred others. Even when one of the workers cuts my toenails down too much. I go back. Why the one star then? Due to a policy that I feel is in place only to take peoples money. Warning to all, do not buy gift certificates here! This place puts a 6 month expiration in their gift certificates. Other businesses I frequent have at least a year on their GCs. And usually they will waive the expiration just to have the business. My mother, who is on a fixed income, bought me one in December. I put it in a drawer and then life does what life does. It kept me busy. I had actually been in at least 2 times since January but had forgotten the GC. I called today and questioned the expiration. The guy said sorry, policy, I only work here. It is the owner. Well, the owner just lost at least 3 regular customers.

I just left this place and Im so disappointed I wasted so much money for a terrible service. The pedicure was good. Now the guy who did my nails, really made me upset. First of all, he didnt have the proper tools. Ive never been to a nail place where they were using scissors to cut the acrylic nails. Then, he was hurting me and when I said something, he dared to tell me if I wanted a lollipop. Really? How sarcastic and horrible customer service. He was also texting while doing my nails. He stopped several times to reply a text. The third time he did it, I had to ask him to finish texting later. To make things worse he charged me for an extra service that I didnt ask for. Im so frustrated looking at my nails right now and one of them still hurts. Definitely NOT coming here again.

I am new to the area and very particular about my French mani/pedi! Van did an excellent job and paid attention to detail. Best french mani/pedi Ive had in a while! For once I didnt leave feeling like Id wasted my money! Also, they have the color match for gel polish so your toenails match your fingernails! They also have several SNS color choices.

Have gone previously with good results...sadly they have gone way downhill. My friend and I sat in foot baths until the water was cold. I had to tell the young man that the grater being used on my feet was dirty and to get a new one. Not even sure there is any way this young man has a cosmetology license. I had to tell him several times to stop what he was doing because he was about to make my toes bleed. The hot towel and hot stones were cold and they did a horrible job all the way around. We will be looking for a new place for pedicures. They dont even deserve 1 star.

My friend just went there this week and was charged twice. the first time was the correct amount. she then noticed a second charge in the amount of $42 extra!!! there is no possible way that could be a mistake as they have to physically key in the amount being charged on the pad. i would not chance going here.

The people are so nice and very patient. They even kept the salon open late once because I work until 6 on the Southside and desperately needed to get my nails done before going out of town that weekend.

I went here about two weeks ago to get a fill in for my nails and a lip wax. At first I thought they were doing a good job until to other ladies came in to get a pedicure. The person doing my nails rushed through them to move on to the other clients. I asked for a cheetah design on my ring finger and they came out awful, it look like just dots. Since I thought everyone was busy I wasnt going to get the lip wax but the lady insisted on doing it then and said it would only take a minute. She was right only took a minute but she didnt even get all the hair. Dont expect to get good customer service if theyre busy, they would just rush through you to get to the next play as soon as possible
