I have been to this salon multiple times for both pedicure and manicure and never disappointed. Cindy did both my nails in the pictures and she’s very knowledgeable as a nail artist. She’s really focus with her work, very clean, fast and efficient with time. Always done an awesome job with what I wanted and she is definitely gained a long term client. Ive been to this establishment many times before and I have never been disappointed. I even recommendemy neighbors this spot since I am always treated with respect and kindness. I spoke to Cindy and she knew exactly what I wanted and made it a reality. My pedicure was done by Ann and she was gentle, professional, and courteous. The staff members made sure to ask everyone that came in if they would like a beverage. Throughout the experience, they asked me multiple times if I was okay and if I needed anything. They were very busy for a Monday so that should shut down some of the negative reviews I read. They allowed walk-ins and once they became very busy, they all found ways to accommodate clients. They were very considerate with clients that came accompanied and accommodated them so that they were together. The experience was great! I already booked my next appointment and I am happy to say that my money was well spent!

This salon is very clean, bright and inviting. I took my daughters there on a whim because it was close. They took great care of them. I wasnt happy with the last place Id had my nails done. Since theyd been so great with my (young) daughters, I thought Id try them for myself. I was so happy with the results! Vi didnt rush, she asked me if I was happy at different stages. I will definitely return.

I don’t usually do reviews but this nail salon made my entire day with these beautiful nails ! To start, when i walked in everybody spoke and were so friendly. I wasn’t 100% sure what i wanted but i had an idea and Laura took my ideas and gave some amazing suggestions, and my nails turned out beautifully.

THE best service! The pedicure was amazing. She was so gentle and the leg massage was to die for. They have massage chairs that make you want to fall asleep. They also wrap your legs with with hot towels that just finishes the whole treatment perfectly! Everyone is so nice and helpful. Definitely coming back on a monthly basis. A & R is my go too for mani pedis!

Twice I have had the same lady and she has done an amazing job on my nail art!! I wish I knew her name but I dont sorry! My first set of gel nails I had on for 5 weeks with no issues except for my natural growth. Went in for a fill and they are awesome again. Thank you!

My pedicure was one of the most relaxing and nicest ones I have ever had. My dip nails came out beautiful and my eyebrows look great after a quick wax. I saw Chi today and she was absolutely fantastic. I will definitely be back!

I went and got my toes done and nails! The tech that did my toes ended up doing my nails. And it was terrible. She was on her phone the whole time. Running off ever few minutes because she forgot something or needed to go talk to someone. She even answered her phone on multiple occasions. I spoke with the owner and she refused to refund me or let me come back in, after I told her that it wasn’t what I wanted.

I went to A&R for the first time today for a manicure and pedicure and it was by far the best salon experience I’ve had in Jacksonville.I made an appointment ahead of time because I’ve heard they’re really busy, especially on weekends, and that was definitely a good call. They got my friend and I in to start right on time, which I appreciated. The salon was very nice and clean. Everyone I spoke to on the phone and at the desk were very kind and knowledgeable about the various services, and all of the technicians did an amazing job on both my friend and me. I had Mia for my full set and Kim for my pedicure and they both were so sweet and did a great job of paying attention to every detail and giving me exactly what I asked for! My pedicure was great and my acrylic set are the perfect shape, length, color, etc.I highly recommend this salon and will definitely be back!

I am new to the area and wanted a pedicure. I walked into this place not knowing what to expect. It was a friendly greeting and I was taken back right away. Le gave me the best pedicure I have ever had! She took her time and never rushed even though they were closing soon. I will definitely be returning for my future pedicures!

Never written a google review but it was my first and last time at this salon. The service here was great and the salon itself is very nice but unfortunately the quality of work is extremely poor. I paid 60 dollars for a full set for my nail to break off less then 12 hours later, I’ve been getting my nails done for years and that’s never happened before. I can go other places in Jacksonville and pay 45 dollars for way better quality. Huge disappointment!

Love this place. I can sit down with any nail tech and walk out happy. I have also been there when they have gone above and beyond to make their costumers happy.

This place impressed me by the greetings and kind hearted staff when I walked in but shortly after it took a complete 360 turn. I originally let the lady working with me know that I would like a full acrylic set on my toes and she shook her head yes and proceeded to hand me the color wheel. I chose my color(red). She proceeded to prep my feet in the water, massage my legs and feet, and cut off the cuticles(pedicure). Once she was finished after about (30 minutes) she proceeded to buff my toes nails and put a primer clear coat on. At this point I pulled up a picture of actual acrylic powder on google and showed her and asked her if she was putting the acrylic powder on my toes for a full set, she said yes this is what you wanted. A lady across from me asked for the same thing I did, and her technician was drilling her toes and prepping them( just as you would for a full acrylic set on her hands). Since she assured me that is what I was getting, I assumed what she was doing was just apart of the process. After she cured the clear coat of primer, she began painting my toes red. I then texted my friend who was already finished sitting in the front to tell the receptionist I was getting the exact opposite of what I asked for. Once the receptionist understood she had another employee come over to me and say you want a full set on your toes? I stated” Yes, that is what I asked for”. She said “ Well, why you want it on your toes? I felt as if this was unprofessional to ask someone why they decided on a choice that the company services. I stated “ Oh you know I just like how more clean cut it looks. She stated” Well a full set is $60.00”. I stated “ that is fine”. That’s what I originally asked for. She then said “ one of our nail technicians will have to do it, but she is doing someone’s nails right now”. I asked how long would the wait time be, being that I had already been in the seat for over an hour getting something done that I didn’t want. Her response was “ Maybe 20 minutes”. I said, that’s fine, you don’t have to worry about it”. Once I said this, she urged that it wouldn’t be much longer only 20 minutes. I stated again, “It’s fine don’t worry about it I’ll leave it like this”. About 5 minutes later the same lady came back and said your technician is ready she’s on her way over here. At this point, I started getting irritated. My friend said she would be back and would go next door to get groceries. Once the nail technician came over, she began doing exactly what I asked for. The original lady who didn’t understand what I wanted apologized to me and I told her it was okay! They were kindhearted. I proceeded to walk to the receptionist and she automatically asked me “Are you tipping cash today, or card both methods are preferred”. You do not ask someone how much they are tipping, yet you would ask them if they would like to tip today. She was unaware of how my experience with. I then told her my tip amount and she entered it in, and said okay your total today is going to be $107.00. I originally went in there for a full set on my toes. I was expecting to pay $70 at the most. I asked “ Could you explain to me why I am paying $107.00 today”? She kind of’ve shrugged her shoulders and pulled out a paper, and then said it says that they gave you a classic pedicure for $42.00 with parabin added and then a full set for $60.00”. I told her I originally asked for a full set of acrylic on my toes and even showed the lady assisting me a picture of what I wanted with acrylic powder to assure she knew what I wanted. I did not want my natural toes painted, I wanted the set on my toes painted. She told me it would be $70.00 and I told her that would be fine. The only issue I had was waiting another 20 minutes and she still urged and tried to persuade me that it wouldn’t be long. She then asked the lady who originally came over and asked me why I wanted full set on my toes if she could explain to me why I’m paying $107.00. Is there a way I can finish or add another review without exceeding the character limit?

There was a misunderstanding with the type of pedicure I was receiving and the owners handled it without haggling or complaint. I was charged for the original pedicure that I wanted. The pedicurist took her time and did not rush through the pedicure and made it incredibly enjoyable. Mia did my nails and explained to me exactly what she was using and what was the most healthy for my nails, was friendly and did an excellent job with my nails. Amazing customer service and front desk as well as first experience in a salon. I have found my home nail salon!

Nancy did an amazing job on my nails! I got a full set with a design for $55! The nail shop is so elegant and clean when you first walk in. Everyone is so nice and they have a wide variety of colors. Nancy finished my set in about an hour and 15 min., very well shaped, and super beautiful! She was very admitted on making sure I liked what she was doing! Will be going back to this place again!

Besides the fact that when I walked in for something they said it was fine sat me down, sanded down my nails before they decided they couldn’t do what I had originally asked for. Then I sat there for two hours when I said I did not have a lot of time left after the first attempt. Then when I left a review with a picture, the salon responded with a harsh and inaccurate depiction of events as I see they have done with other clients. I was said to have thrown money in someone’s face, I did quickly put the cash down at the counter as I had to leave (while the two women at the register were talking and refused to acknowledge me walking up), never was anything thrown. Also at no point did anyone apologize for the initial miscommunication. Absolutely terrible customer service and response. Please do not bully customers that were dissatisfied.

I love the atmosphere! The lady at the front desk was so nice. Benjamin did my gel manicure and pedicure. I loved that after every process he asked how I liked it, which gave me plenty of room to correct anything I didn’t like *I didn’t need to*. 100% record this place!

Went in last Tuesday and I believe michelle did my pedicure and she was amazing and loved talking with her!! For my hands I did dip over my natural nail, its only been a week and 2 of my nails already have big cracks in the dip powder that was done. The woman who did my nails and was using the electric tool that files and smooths the top of the nail kept going over the skin the around my cuticles and I feel like she wasnt very careful or attentive. I hear the gentlemen that do nails there are amazing so if I do go again I will definitely request one of them. Was not a bad experience with customer service, just disappointed that a dip powder didnt hardly last a week. Usually I can keep dip powder on my nails for 3+ weeks.

Went in with no appointment and a train reck of nails from a different place. They took them off and completely redid them and I absolutely love everything about them. They are so nice. Mia (my nail tech) listened to what I didn’t like about the previous set and then took them off so carefully it didn’t hurt once. Started to redo my set and listened to the length I wanted and helped me with the design as well. Not to mention the lady at the front was so nice and listened when I walked in. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Got seen right away without an appointment. Mia did an amazing job. I usually do my own dip nails but wanted to get a professional job. Love my new nails.

I really wanted to like this salon because they were very professional and my nails were very nice. I have come to discover they use MMA which is extremely dangerous for nails I have come to find out. They ruined my nails completely to the point where they look like theyre enough there. Theyre so thin, flaky, and painful. I cant ever go here again because of that fact. Never had a problem with a full set.

I was thoroughly disappointed to find out I was only allowed to give this spa a 5 out of 5 stars. If I could have it my way, I would give them a 7 out of 5 star rating, that is just how amazed I am at how much they cared. The receptionist, I believe her name is Maddy, was able to book me for a much needed manicure and pedicure and met me with the utmost respect and positivity. Before meeting this young lady, my wife and I were having some personal troubles at home. Things were just not the same as they used to be and it felt like we were staying together just for the sake of our children. After getting the manicure and pedicure at A & R Nail Spa and having been graced by the positivity of the receptionist mentioned above, I decided to take a look into the mirror and try to be as positive and upbeat about life as she is. My marriage was in shambles, but since then, my wife and I have NEVER been happier. This receptionist saved my marriage and I could not thank her enough.

The only reason I’m even putting 2 stars is because of the receptionist. She was absolutely amazing and really sweet. I made an appointment for 3:30 and didn’t have my nails started until 4 but that’s not my issue. The lady I had was extremely unprofessional, couldn’t stay off of her phone with an earbud in her ear. My nails are longer than I wanted, the acrylic is so thin I can bend the nails (so their probably gonna break in a couple days.) I have polish all over my fingers and I have an ingrown nail that I had to ask 3 times for her to remove it and she still didn’t. I was referred to this place by a coworker of mine but for my first time being there I doubt I’ll be back. $50 was ridiculous for what I just had done.

First time or two going to get my nails done was good but after the initial visit Cindy the owner would have a horrible attitude not only towards me but other ppl. They could never get the nail design or color right. The salon isn’t the cleanest, the older man that works there is rude all the time especially on the phone, will hang up on ppl just because. Nails turn out super thick and a lot of the time crooked. After few days they look like it’s been a month and they break off or crack, can’t even paint them without living gaps between color and making it look even . Taking nails off is a joke as well, last time I did mine half of the stuff was still left on my nails. They nickel and dime with weird charges and fees.Nancy is always hostile and acts like she does costumers a favor. If you want mediocre nails but paying the price of a high end salon than by all means go there.

I’m soooo impressed! I got my nails done 3 weeks ago, by the owner, Henry. My nails are STILL ON. Everytime I’ve gotten gel acrylics from nail salons they fall off within a week. This is the first time I’ve ever had them on this long and they still look good, even a little grown out. I also had a pedicure done 4 weeks ago by Lee and she did amazing. I did gel and it’s still great! I’m a sever, so I usually wear closed toe shoes and it messes up my pedicure but since I went here it has not. I can’t wait to go back 😍

This is the best nail salon I’ve been to in Jacksonville. Had the classic pedicure which is more like a deluxe at other spas. Everyone was friendly and they were able to get me in right away. Will definitely be returning!

I just got home from getting my eyebrows waxed at this salon to find that a strip of skin under my brow was also waxed off. It is quite painful and it is getting more red and irritated as time goes on. The salon was clean but they seemed to be in a rush due to the amount of clients waiting for services. I’ve gotten my eyebrows waxed many many times and I have never had this happen before.

Today my wife and I went to A & R Nail Spa for the first time. Very well organized, clean, and managed, but the biggest reason for the 5 star rating / review was the female employee named Maddy at the front desk. She was professional, and hilarious. She made our experience 10x better with her customer service and sense of humor. 10/10 will return.

I made an appointment today for a full set of acrylic nails, when I arrived Cindy immediately sat me down and I explained to her that in my profession I have to clean my hands hundreds of times a day, I need the acrylic nails to help me protect my natural nails as the alcohol gel leaves them so dry and tender they are peeling and painful. She took extra time to be very gentle and careful with my hands. My nails look beautiful and I will definitely continue to use this salon.

This is the only salon in town I will give my money. Cindy is the best and always has my nails looking gorgeous!!

Although the establishment was professional and clean, Maddy’s customer service was the highlight of my experience. I was genuinely surprised at how nice she was and my daughter loves her. Will return. I took my daughter here for her first pedicure and she absolutely loved it.

Pam R is a liar - I was there when she came in on a busy Sunday and I was in the process of getting my nails done. We stopped part way through for my pedi and when I sat down to get my nails finished, she started making comments about me getting serviced before her. Maybe she needed to pay more attention when she walked in! This place is amazing. The staff is super professional and do a great job. Don’t walk-in on the weekend and expect to get immediate service - otherwise MAKE an appointment.

Best nail salon in Jacksonville! All of their nail techs are great at what they do, please don’t think that you’re being skipped because not every nail tech can do all the services so they are just making sure that you are being helped by the best nail tech that can do that service! Highly recommend & they also take appts so if you don’t want to wait you can always call in to schedule an appt!

The person I saw was extremely unprofessional I asked a simple question she snapped and yelled, I went Into simply have the nails removed she left my nails looking terrible she continues to talk about every customer in the store. Mia quoted price and over charged I will never be returning to this salon I had nails removed due to them lifting 3 days after they applied them as well.

Went here after going to another nail salon that was horrible and got a pedicure, their chairs worked the whole time, they offered a drink included for their services, and they took their time while massaging and painting my toes, even being very busy they were able to manage all customers appropriately. Very satisfied if I need nails done in the future I will go here.
