I wanted to sell furniture from my home - however I could not do a garage sale! I called Langston’s and they made an appointment to come and see what I had to sell. They calculated what they would pay and we set a date for pickup. I was happy with pricing, promptness and courtesy. All in all they provided a great service and even agreed to switch out something that I had forgotten to keep from being packed into the pods! Thank you Anthony and Barbara for making my move that much better!

They helped me find out information about a piece I owned but knew nothing about. I had searched online and within a minute they told me everything about my piece. They responded right away and were very knowledgeable. I highly recommend.

Worst auction house ever! I will never purchase an item from this place again! If I could give them zero stars, I would.I purchase a several items at an auction in December, 2020 and the items were shipped for a reasonable $8 fee. In January, 2021, I purchased one $70 item at another auction that was similar in size to the previous three items and I had to pay $49.68 for the shipping! I called them three times and they said they would look into it. Finally received a response after the third call and they said, that is the cost of the shipping.I will never purchase another item from B. Langston and anyone reading this shouldnt either. Poor customer service, very unprofessional, didnt get back to me until after my third call. Stay away!

I spoke to the owner and made an appointment for 1:30 on Tuesday. I arrived on time and proceeded to find all of the doors locked. I rang the doorbell twice and someone finally appeared and I explained that I was there for my 1:30 appointment with Mrs. Langston and she looked so puzzled I asked if I was at the address I had been given and she said yes and then said well she is not here I will be back and shut the door. After awhile a young man came and he said the same, that the lady I had made the appointment with was not there and they did not know about the appointment but that he would look at our items. He was kind enough to help my husband and I carry everything up the many stairs. He stated when I asked that he was the son-in-law of the lady I was supposed to see, who had apparently forgotten the appointment.When we were upstairs he looked at everything with obvious disinterest and disdain, and then asked how much we wanted for everything. I said that I thought I was there for an appraisal that I was prepared to pay for, as I had discussed with the owner, and he stated that we nothing worth writing up an appraisal for. I said well can you at least tell me about some of the items and he agreed. I asked about a clock of my late mothers and he condescendingly said oh you mean the one made in Japan that has genuine spelled wrong on it? And the water pitcher he didnt even look at and it had a marking of 1896 on the bottom of it but he couldnt be bothered. And a vase with a marking on the bottom I asked him about and he said oh that is just from a South American flea market. Some Native American items, that I knew were not genuine, but just wanted and idea about them, he said Oh those are just gift shop junk. And then he continued to speak disparagingly of all of the rest of our items. I understand they may not have been the type of items that his store sells, or items that he thought were of no value, but they had value to us, and I feel that he could have stated his opinions more graciously and with less arrogance and less offensively. He then offered 45.00 for my grandfathers 48 Star flag, some old coins and a silver necklace. We felt it was too low an offer but after coming all the way from St. Johns County for an appointment that we thought we had but didnt, and using a lot of fuel that we as senior citizen disabled veterans could not afford, accepted the insultingly low offer just to reimburse us slightly for our time and fuel involved for this extremely disappointing appointment. We would advise everyone not to do business with this company due to their extremely arrogant, unprofessional and unwelcoming practices.

I signed a contract to have everything sold off and After a handful of leaving messages for a return call no calls were returned. My state sale never happened and I was stood up with no communication.

They staged everything beautifully, advertised in all the right places, had a huge turnout & sold 95%. Her knowledge & resources about so many items was amazing; along with her honesty, compassion and understanding for our family through the whole process. It was a pleasure working with them!

Best antique shop in Jacksonville! Amazing service, I felt right at home. Great auctions, amazing sales, neat shop! Will not go anywhere else for antiques! Great people! I bought a couch this week from the store at the amazing sale that they had. The only problem is that I have a Ford Focus and wasnt able to fit in in my car. They kindly provided me with a card to a moving company that wasnt to expensive. They came and picked it up and brought it right to my door. The best part of it all is that Chuck took care of it all I didnt even have to worry about it.

I used their services to sell my house. They also sold everything I didnt want to move, via estate sale, which was nice because that was less that I had to deal with. Their advice regarding improvements to make to the house, asking price, etc. was right on the money, and the house was sold quickly during the pandemic.

Bought a one-of-a-kind bed on Thursday at one of their liquidation sales. I bought several other things as well, carried out what I could, began marking my pick up items and was told Was told not to worry marking the rest, they would do it so i could move my car out of the way. I handsomely tipped the man! I was told I had until Saturday to pick the bed up. I hired movers to specially move the bed on Saturday. The bed was resold, I discovered after wasting an hour of the movers time sitting around.The owners did not even get on the phone to explain the error until I demanded to speak to one of the people in charge. Originally, they told my HIRED MOVER to tell me I that I had some vague store credit because they had sold the bed again so tough luck for me. I spent over $400 and this is the kind of customer service a San Marco company thinks is acceptable?Anthony with B Langston finally gave me his number, said he was sorry and that he would - again VAGUELY - make it up to me. If you buy something, take a picture and make your own sold tag. BEWARE!

DON’T DO IT!!!!!!I called this company to conduct my estate sale. They promised to come look at the property on Thursday August 29th at 2:300pm. At 3:00pm when no one showed up I call the office. I then received a call from someone saying I tried to call, I can come now. What I do understand is why would you call the appointment was already set, just show up. They couldn’t tell me the number they’re calling. They then tried to set another appointment. I said I’ll have to call you back. The next morning ( August 30th) I called and got no answer. So I sent a text., will 12:30 work for you. I received no conformation but at 12:30 I received a call that I answered. Hey we are here where are you. I expressed that I never received a text as to whether this time works for you so no I’m not there. They reply what time will work for you. I said 4:30pm as you would have it no one showed. I called the number I sent a text to. Now we all know how phones work. Missed call six to eight rings sent to voicemail three rings do want to answer straight to voicemail and in that order is what I received. I call main office explain what happened. Owner text back not call but text, they don’t want to do business with me said I’m a “PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!” Really professional group.

What a nice shop this place is. They had all kinds of furniture and pictures and just a little bit of everything books and dolls antiques wicker furniture Etc... soon as I walked in I was greeted by the nicest lady shes very helpful and very knowledgeable about all the things inside well be were turning real soon

This is a disreputable business. The conduct of their estate sales is unprofessional, their recordkeeping is a shambles, and they do not pay the property owners within the time allotted by the contract. They do not return calls or correspondence. Please save your family the frustration and sadness, and work with someone else.

The most horrible experience EVER. I contracted Langston to sell valuable possessions I had to leave behind when I moved to another country. I was lead to believe they would come into my home and set everything up for an in home estate sale. Instead, they backed up a truck and hauled the important things off. I have no evidence that anything was or has been sold. Then they left behind a trail of garbage on my driveway and beside my house. I lost my realtor because of the mess and my neighbors are frustrated. The city has posted an ordinance violation and the HOA has sent me notices. It has been almost 2 weeks since they left this trail of garbage behind. They have acted incredulous to the situation and have done nothing. This company evidently has a history of such behavior so I strongly suggest you do your homework before ever considering this company. What you see may not be what you get

Terrible experience. Owners were quite deceitful. Since my traumatic encounter with these folks, I did some asking around and apparently they have quite the collective criminal history. Pretty sure majority of these positive reviews are friends or purchased reviews.

RUN! RUN! RUN from these people!! My sister and I hired them and disappointment is an understatement. Unprofessional on so many levels, rude, not educated in appraisals or the difference in an items worth and what market value is. Customer NO SERVICE! losing a loved one is difficult enough with out having to deal with a bunch of clowns. PLEASE do your research and check these people out thoroughly ( we wish we would have). They left a mess at my mothers home and did not respond to our numerous phone calls requesting our money. We have since learned they have several law suits against them for fraud & larceny. They have even been on probation and not allowed to attend their own sales! They continually change their name ( similar but different names) SHAME SHAME SHAME! I did notice they had three 5 star reviews last week, how FUNNY! Friends of theirs I am sure....

I have known the family for over 10 years. I came to Jax. A single dad with a little boy. Barbara and Anthony and their kids have become my family. Anthony with is wisdom and guidance Barbara with her lessons in understanding have made me a better man and father. I have seen alot of bad reviews DONT believe them. These are liars and I believe may even be competition. When youre the best everyone else tries to compete so they resort to bad reviews.I attend estate sales. They have the best prices, they are friendly and will strive to work with you. How many times have you seen Anthony carry out a dresser or a box for someone.....no other companies do that. Attending their sales is fun it just seems like everyone knows everyone. Estate sale companies are popping up each and every week. I have been to them. I have met some pretty rude companies and their employees. Prices so high that on the last day half the stuff is still sitting there. This is the opposite of Langstons. Prices so low you cant say no...and an empty house at the end. Today is Auction day at Langstons free yummy lunch drinks snacks and auction excitement.People really have no idea how much work they do. The families they have held sales for that I personally spoke with speak highly of them. People leave these reviews anonymous so they say whatever they want...they hide. Not me....I am Scott youve seen me Im Lances dad...I have red hair. I wrote this review after seeing the lies written by vengeful jealous people.

Run away from B Langstons as fast as you can! They didnt even let me know when my estate sale was going to be done. Two months later I finally got a check from them that bounced for insufficient funds, then I had to insist on a cashiers check as payment. Terrible pricing on items and you only get an invoice with a total, not itemized listing so you really dont know what they have done. Check the Better Business Bureau rating for them.

Decided to take a trip to the auction very nice atmosphere the people were amazing everything I looked for was actually there a one stop shop Im a satisfied Customer i recommend the business to new comers along the way

Scheduled an Estate sale for a deceased friend on June 24th and 25th. They were VERY quick in responding and making promises. We were told we had much desirable furniture, jewelry, collectables, etc. which were unique and probably wouldnt sell at the estate sale but would at an auction. The crew was there when they promised, conducted the sale with professionalism and totally cleaned out the house as promised. We took pictures of the items with the prices he was asking. One of his workers even separated a whole pile of WWII items that “we will sell at an auction.” He took the jewelry (quite a few pieces) to a dealer that he “knew”. He took many items that he indicated would sell better at his auction as they were collectables for a special group of his known customers. LAST OF THE GOOD NEWS.We tried for 6 months to get our money. We were also promised we would get an accounting of what was sold at the auction and off-site sales. Numerous phone calls, written letters and texts were sent to B. Langston, most of which were ignored. When they did return a call or text it was Ill call you shortly, with a client or we will send your check shortly. After many months of broken promises, the check finally arrived around December 21st. It was a personal check from Anthony for a fraction of what we thought and was indicated that we would get. With no documentation, we have no idea of what was really owed to us as there wasnt anything in the envelope but the check. Anthony told us this was one of the best sales they had ever had. We quickly took the check to the bank to make sure it would not bounce (as has been indicated has happened in the past from other reviews). IT DID BOUNCE. We informed him and again excuses and promises. Another personal check was sent to us and it was returned, marked NSF. After threatening legal action, at the end of January 2018 (7 months after the sale), we received a Cashiers check that went through.If you want accountability, someone who returns phones calls, texts, etc. and your check within a reasonable amount of time....use someone else.How this company stays in business and allowed to do business is beyond me. It can only be because he promises so much and is so convincing.
