Very friendly and helpful team. Greetings for TINA from Poland :D
I highly recommend this location to help ease the pain of going to the Maryland MVA. Although there are some affordable fees that are charged to complete the transactions they are well worth it. I dont see myself going back to the MVA ever again.
The owners name is Tina Davenport. She is extremely rude. I believe she’s owns a business that should be about the customer right? Incorrect. I got my tag and title maybe a little over a month ago. They never sent me my title and told me I would have to pay additionally for a duplicate to get the title I already paid for. I’m almost 100% sure that the way I was handled was because I was an African American. I do not truly believe Tina would have treated one of her friends like she did me and even hang up the phone. Don’t do business with this company. Thank you for your time
They were very professional. Other places said it would take at least 3-4 weeks. They said 10 business days and I got my title on the 9th business day. Very fairly priced. Very hospitable and they take precautions needed such as social distancing.
In another review I spoke about the owner. She one hung up the phone on me. Two she remembers the situation because I obviously went inside and got my tag and title so she’s knows exactly what I look like. This business is small and you would think somebody that doesn’t have the volume as other places would value their customers. I have never paid for a service tried to get customer service for that service I paid for then be hung up on. I think any human can agree that is ludicrous. The reason I know they remember me is because I went one day to talk to them, and came back another to actually get my tag and title. So in search of me trying to get my tittle they said would be at my house by now (blame your employees for communicating that to me) I’m going to call back with an issue. An owner should have a cool enough head to know that issues arise in business if you cannot handle that maybe you shouldn’t have one
Let me just start this review by saying this is just my experience here. I’m not telling anyone to not use this company as many have had good service from them.I bought a used car from PA and contacted this tag company to see if they could help, explained what I had I I was looking for historic tags they said they could help so I went right over. They took my info and about 10min later came back and told me my vin was to old to work in their computer system but if wanted they could take my info to MVA and handle everything for me and it would take approx 2 weeks but they could be back as fast as 1 week so I said go ahead as I knew MVA was backed up and I would have had to make an appointment anyway. Well 2 weeks turned to 3 to 5 and eventually 7 weeks and still no tags. When I called I was told application was rejected by MVA because I needed the title from sale notarized in PA. She (Tina) told me that wasn’t true and she eventually from someone at MVA that agreed with her and she would personally walk my paperwork thru. Well 2 days later I was left message saying MVA still rejected so I went down to pick up my title, bill of sale and get a refund from Tina on a Saturday. I got my refund from another employee. Thinking maybe I would atleast get a sorry we couldn’t help. I got a “have a good one” from her and I left. Now what I’m about to say I’m sure most people can’t do but I was headed to Ocean City MD that week and called West OC Tag and Title and explained everything that happened. A gentleman there said it didn’t sound right and to bring everything to him and he’d see what he could do. Well I walked in his business at 11:30am on a Friday and I was out of there by noon with my historic tags in hand. Not sure why he could help and other business had so many issues. West OC A 1 business there!!Once again these were just my experiences and I’m in no way knocking Laurel Tag or their employees.
Laurel Tag and Title has been doing all of our tag and title work for years. They are the best! The fees are well worth it, we never go to MVA.Laura
I contacted them to assist me in returning to Maryland. I left Maryland in November of 2019 and returned a few months ago. They stated no problem, had me fill out a form, and stated they will contact my Lien holder to get the title on my behalf. I asked pricing at this time and was told they can’t estimate until they get my title.A week later I got a call from them stating it’s all set and the price would be 405 dollars and it would only be temp tags. This seemed high so I asked why so much. They state taxes and the fee for registration. They also informed me to get perm tags I need to get my car state inspected. I again reiterated I’m a former MD resident and I wasn’t sure I needed to pay taxes/inspection. They assured me this was the case.So the next day i went to the mva in person. I was told no need for inspection or to pay taxes again. I left with tags in hand less than an hour later for 155 dollars.I understand a service fee but this place charges 405 for temp tags when the MVA charged me 155 for 2 year tags? The MVA takes appointments so well worth the savings to go to the real mva instead.
I have processed our Amur Equipment Finance titles using Laurel Tag & Title for the past two years. Tina Davenport is on top of her game in the tag and title industry. Tina displays professional and quick service. We send all of our Maryland customers to her.
Was there to replace my tags on my Chevrolet suburban, Karina was awesome and very patient with me while i was missing some paperwork.Tina seems not to be the friendliest but, she will get the job done especially in times of uncertainty.Thanks..
The owner of this place Tina davenport very nasty women has one of the worst customer service and if your not white she will not be kind and everything is very expensive i recommend not going
Dont waste your time at MVA. At Laurel Tag and Title you will receive one on one attention, with ONE person. You wont be shuffled around from station to station. For only $40 service fee over the usual charges at MVA for new TT&L I saved a couple of hours of my time, saved gas, and zero frustration through the process.Turning in tags for a car you sold? Again, drive to Laurel Tag and Title, and for a very low fee (between $5-10) you leave your plates, get a receipt, and youre finished.
Great people, great service. Can’t beat it!
Great
