Carly at Pointe Parc at St. Johns has been AMAZING!!! We all know working and trying to relocate can be stressful and a bit daunting.Carly at Pointe Parcs office was an amazing help during this process, and her warm bubbly personality made me feel at ease. Customers service was impeccable! Carlys communication before during and after move in remains top notch. The day I picked up my keys Carly said to me Your going to love your new home and she was right. Thank you Carly, I do love it here. The community is awesome very peaceful environment.
I do not recommend it! Pointe Parc is a hoax, the first days everything seemed perfect, after a few weeks it became a nightmare, terrible treatment and bad attention from the management, I have been with air conditioning problems for about 5 months and they show no interest in helping me solve the situation, they left me a whole month without air conditioning in the house, they brought a portable one and forgot to fix it, they had to change everything and they came the day they wanted to work on the problem. the solution they gave him lasted a few weeks and last week the air broke again, I reported it urgently and they ignored my request, and even canceled a second order I made. They brought back the portable air and still today have not solved this horrible situation. I have 2 children and it is horrible and sad that we are going through this, it is disrespectful that measures are not taken, the garbage collection service is also terrible, not to mention that we have not been able to bathe in the pool either because it has been closed since we got here . Overall this place is a rip off. they dont deserve a single star. Im very disappointed.
Went to tour the complex, they are beautiful. Carly was super helpful in what would be the best fit for my budget and has such an amazing energy. Definitely moving!
The whole process to rent an apartment was very easy and Carly was a great help for me, she made everything easier.
Terrible maintenance, septic pool, busted gym, dogs being off leash, occasional domestic violence, and my friend (who also lives here) has been attacked and harassed by creepy neighbors in the past. There have been occasions where I don’t feel safe walking alone. But the main point of contention is that it’s a very down on your luck place. The only good thing I can say is the sweet elderly ladies below us. It was alright when we first moved here not anymore.
The sign says luxury apartments — they simply aren’t anything of the sort. I went to inquire about availability and the staff was plain rude. I ended up finding somewhere else but my friend decided to live here and it was a nightmare for her. The leasing agents would not get back to her through email or phone. They also wouldn’t answer the office phones. Office would be closed on days when it should be open. When she moved in the apartment looked good but within days she needed to make maintenance calls about harmful issues. Maintenance was also unresponsive. The pool has also been closed since what seems like the beginning of time. One of the pools has a sign saying it violates Florida law 64E-9 which is why it’s closed. However—if she’s paying rent and amenities why isn’t it being fixed immediately??. The pool is one of the reasons why she loved the place on her own tour. Honestly what a mess. Get new management and clean the place up!!
Donnica Scott always helped me when I have questions about anything. I have been living here for a little over 3 years now and I love it because it’s quite where my apartment is!
This is the worst living experience I’ve ever had. Please do not rent here! They have an entire new staff every few months because of how bad it is. The staff they have currently loves to point fingers and make accusations to loyal renters who have lived there for years! They made me feel like absolute trash only for them to turn around and actually look at their documents to see they were in the wrong. I’m not one to write reviews especially bad ones and I’m not going to take up too much time with details but just trust me on this one. Their team/management is the absolute worst and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Ever.
Absolutely not luxury. No trash service but you get charged for it. Bad Management. Grounds are gross. Pool is unusable, ac constantly breaks, long wait times for anything to be fixed and forget getting a hold of the office they never answer and always seem to be at lunch.
I visited these apartments today, and I schedule an appointment to check it out. I was greeted by Roselyn, and I’m going to say she was the nicest and welcoming lady there to help me out and show me around. I really like her so much that I was willing to get an application started with her then and there :) also the apartments are definitely nice! If you’re searching for a place to stay, go there and go see her. It’ll be worth 5 min of your day speaking to her.
Before moving to Point Parc Apartments my living situation took a turn for the worse. Ms. Roselyn who works in the front office was very helpful and flexible and I was able to secure the unit I most preferred! She was very patient and kind and I appreciate the vibe I got from her from the start. Very grateful and impressed!
I dont really like the fact we got a message today saying that we have to pay online and that they no longer accept money orders. So if you like to pay and keep a paper receipt from your money order they dont give you the option now.
I moved here five years ago with the intention of staying here long term. For the first three years this place was absolutely perfect. Things change, and I get that, but not for the better here. The maintenance team has been replaced multiple times and each time its worse. Requests go ignored. I feel like I am harassing them when my AC isnt working, which is quite often. This is Florida. Im not sitting in a place thats 80, and maintenance is telling me that the AC is working just fine.No way that Im resigning a lease.
An amazing place to live I moved in the summer time of 2020. Not only did my move in go smoothly but the management team is so nice and understanding. I got off work and my a/c wasn’t working so I put in a work order on the app which was very easy to operate and before I could close the app I got a phone call to let me know the maintenance man Juan was otw to fix it and he was there quickly and had my a/c up and running and refilled my Freon and now I can sleep comfortably
The new management company is an utter disappointment.Ive had a pungent odor in my unit for months. No amount of cleaning alleviates it. Ive been flooded by two neighbors in the past year. The walls must be saturated with water and mold. This is not healthy.I have called the office to no avail. I have directly messaged the manager, Sherrel. She refuses to respond. What kind of property manager ignores her residents for 7 months This is unacceptable.
1 month the pool still not clean! My neighbor saying when the pool gonna open and still not opening and not clean water were paying the pool omg
I waited 4 months to write a review to really tell about my experience. Right off the gate my lease wasn’t honored per the price I was told upon moving in. I had an “upgraded” apartment that isn’t much more than a few coats of paint that have faded away by now. I have had more maintenance issues in the past 4 months than a new home owner. Leaking ceilings, washer broken, ac broken, towel rack fell off the wall, exterminator called multiple times until I did my own research to specify the type. Now either my ac or upstairs is leaking yet again and my property is getting ruined. There was no opening of amenities despite empty promises so don’t count on those. The fees they charge after you sign brings the rent up about $200. The “updated” appliances are at least 30 years old with rust. And the washer turned clothes blue. Cabinets are buckled from previous water damage. Save your money and time and go someplace else.
I like it here. I have lived here for several years.
Very pleased with overall experience, especially considering we initiated and closed the agreement 100% remotely. Once we arrived, the move-in process was straightforward, with the staff remaining accessible both virtually and in-person. Peter stayed in touch throughout and followed up quickly. The staff I have found to be helpful and courteous.
The noise levels are out of control. Very thin walls. If you live on the bottom floor you can hear every single footstep amplified from the apartment above you. The building foundation is nearly 40 years old. The noise is the biggest issue.
I am a new resident to the community and I am extremely happy with my new place! Peter was my main point person and he was awesome with helping me get set up in my new home! Even though Peter was great, there were other people in the office who helped me out and they were all super friendly and eager to help me out. My new apartment is everything that I expected it to be and the office was very good about communication and making sure that all of my needs were met. Thank you guys for making sure that everything was perfect!
Loving the apartment! Very quiet community! Peter Nasif was who helped with the application process, he was so helpful and extremely patient! He answered all of our questions and kept in contact with us throughout the entire application process both through text and phone calls. 10/10 recommend!
I have been with this community for a while now and can only say wonderful things about the complex! Always clean and neighbors are friendly! Maintenance is great at getting to issues in a timely and prompt manner! Donna and Peter are awesome and made renewing my lease absolutely wonderful!!! I couldnt ask for a better place to call home!!!!
Recently moved into the community and due to the pandemic their had to be changes with regards to move in dates ...Peter was awesome and flexible from the get go. Answered all questions and always responded in a timely manner. He made sure I was comfortable with the unit before I moved, and just made a hectic situation a bit more easier ..Thank you for your 5⭐ professional service Peter!!!
My husband and I are very satisfied of the place my grandson is staying while going to school. Donna and the staff have been nothing but helpful with before and after the move. I would highly recommend this place.
Pointe Parc is a great place to live. Peter Nasif, the leasing specialist, is always so helpful, professional, and very friendly! He answers all questions quickly and is a great resource to have while living at Pointe Parc.
Peter made everything clear and simple. He was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Thanks for all your help!!
Peter was great help. He went above and beyond. Quiet and peaceful place to live in a great area close to shopping and restaurants.
I am active duty in the military. When COVID19 hit Peter and the other members of the team here at Point Parc worked with me to make sure I didn’t become homeless due to my PCS date being pushed back. Love living here!
Great management!
Beautiful place to live. Easy and fast move in. No complaints. Peter was awesome ! Hit him up if u have any questions.
I cannot step outside without smelling animal remains; one time there was a possum stuck in the trash and my younger daughter, 5 years old, was almost bitten. They refuse to do anything.
I’ve been staying at Pointe Parc for 2 years and Peter and Beth have made the impossible, possible for me! I love the community were in, its nice, quiet, and close to a lot of iconic places! Thank You Beth and Peter for putting me into my 2/2 I love it here!
Peter got me settled in a newly renovated unit in excellent condition. The process was smooth, clear and fast. I must commend the leasing team on their courtesy and professionalism; Pointe Parc is a complete sanctuary 🏖️🍹
Living at Pointe Parc included great amenities, a central location, and an always available team of staff. Peter was particularly a great help throughout my time there; had it not been for a career change, I would have renewed my lease!
Peter was very fast in getting us into our apartment and wanting to make us feel at home. Im glad to have moved here and cant wait to live here. They also are good to cater to our needs.
I’ve been living here for almost 2 years and never had issues until management changed (of course right). I switched apartments after a year because I was pregnant and needed more space plus the first floor. I have had so many issues with my ceiling leaking twice from upstairs, insects in my apartment, and a neighbor that doesn’t know when to turn her music off or what a parking space is.The first time my roof leaked, management came out right away and said it was the water heater from upstairs. Well I guess he didn’t really fix it because it leaked again a couple months later and at this time I have a crawling baby. I called the 24/7 maintenance line and no one answered or came out when I put the request in online. It dropped for hours and I was livid. This happened on a Saturday and no one came until Monday. My ceiling is yellow and peeling and they claimed they would fix it but still haven’t.I use to have quiet neighbors for the most part that even their dogs didn’t bother me. But unfortunately they all moved out and I got some dumb girl upstairs. She doesn’t know when to turn her music off and she keeps parking in the loading zone because she thinks it’s a parking space. I have spoken with Peter and Renee and I believe Peter is rude as hell and Renee claimed to have spoken with her but the girl still parks in the same spot so I doubt it. I just miss the original staff because at least they genuinely cared. I’m thinking about breaking my lease.
I have been living at Pointe Parc for 6 months now and have really enjoyed it. The maintenance team always responds within a day of submitting a service request and the office staff has always be friendly and helpful. I mostly love living here because it is very quiet, but is still so close to a bunch of shopping centers including the Town Center. I have nothing but positive things to say about Pointe Parc.
I moved into the Pointe Parc apt complex about a year and a half ago and I couldnt be happier. I love my apt, the complex is clean and well kept and I feel safe here. I find the Pointe Parc Office staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. It is located close to the St Johns Town Center and close access to the interstate. A very convenient location. I have no regrets whatsoever about choosing this complex over the others I looked into.Sandy
Incredible experience, start to finish. Peter found the perfect apartment, and helped every step of the way. Could not of done more to make this move better.
I lived here for two years and just signed on for another. I look for 5 major factors when considering apartments. Does Pointe Parc meet my expectations?1. Affordable rent? Check. Do a search of rent prices around the area, and youll find that this place is very competitive.2. Good location? Check. All kinds of shops and restaurants are within a 10 minute driving distance. 5 minutes to the malls, 15 minutes to downtown, and 20 minutes to the beaches.3. Good maintenance? Check. Every single maintenance request I had (toilet, sink, AC, etc.) had been taken care of within 24 hours.4. Respectful neighbors? Check. Never had a single issue with neighbors being loud, unruly, or otherwise.5. Leasing staff quality? Check. They are always nice, respectful, and helpful, especially that one tall brunette, whose name is B something, I forget.Five stars for fulfilling each of my five criteria.
Moved in 1 month ago today and so far... 5 star rating. Office staff has been great. I love the pool area. Grounds stay clean. Emailed for maintenance once for the foyer bulb being out and it was changed within 20 mins!
Stayed here at Pointe Parc for 7 months and we are truly grateful to the office staff of Sharell, Pam, Peter and others who have been very professional throughout our lease. Also, the Maintenance stuff of Luis and Rainier along with the rest of the crew worked very diligently in keeping the whole complex clean and are very open for feedback and support.
Lived here 3 years. Service staff is very nice and accommodating. Rent just felt like it was getting a little too high. It started at around 700 and ended up over 1000 for a one bedroom by the time I left. Walls are pretty thin too. Rowdy neighbors will be heard.
Staff is so friendly and willing to help. Had the pleasure of speaking with Kelsie she answered all my questions and concerns. Very professional. Definitely would recommend!!
Couldnt be more happy to live here. The renovations are fantastic. The people in the office are outstanding and are always there when you need them. Maintenance is fast and also dona great job. 5 stars for sure!
Had a great experience with Peter and his collective staff members at pointe parc easiest move in process ever for me great service from management.
I have lived at Pointe Parc for a little over 2 months and Im extremely glad I moved here. From the day I came to look at the model until now the staff has been great! They are always courteous and available when needed. I have had to contact maintenance on two occasions but unlike previous experiences with other apartment complexes I didnt have to wait more than 24hrs for maintenance to fix the issue. I would definitely recommend living here!
Place is very dirty and work orders are never fulfilled.
Went to go look at a two bedroom apartment and the website for these apartments are such a lie! So crazy how run down this place truly is. Definetly go look at these in person prior to signing a lease. Pool is disgusting. The community is very trashy and run down. Definitely can get such a nicer community with the pricing they are wanting to offer for these “luxury” apartments.
Love the valet trash man !!! You are greatly appreciated #1 fan!!!! I do really love this place. My apartment and the scenery. I just dont care to much for the office. They can be a little to nosey for my comfort. I feel like I am always being watched every time I step out of my apartment. Maintenance is great and always on time
This Review is FAR over due as between a car accident and other family medical situations arising it had to be set to the side. However I don’t plan on letting this go and think anyone looking to rent under this management should have all of the information since I know reviews like these are what helped me decide when I was looking to rent. My boyfriend lives in the pointe park apartments at the southside Jacksonville location and when visiting him one morning the maintenance guys lost control of a golf cart that ran into my car and left some pretty extensive damage. When speaking to the office staff they told us they were new to management and didn’t have any insurance information they could give me at the time but would call head of manaugement after trying to be understand of the accident and the transition they were in I went ahead and filed a police report after feeling like I was given the run around. I finally within the time span of a month got through to someone who then questioned the quote I got for the damage and refused to pay the amount needed to cover it. Both doors had damage that required them both to be completely replaced and the electric to be rewired. The restoration place I chose was also the only place that still carried the correct paint match to my car and I told them they were the only ones I trusted to do the repairs since I have experience with their service, eventually spoke to someone else who said they would reach out the restoration place and get this settled it’s been months with no contact or answer and I’m officially done. I will be posting this review anywhere I can. I was willing to take whatever they wanted to settle for just to be done with this mess but they were unable to even do that.
Update since I have now officially moved out: I liked this complex when I first moved in but since the latest management company took over, it went downhill. Management has ZERO presence in the community except monthly reminders to pay rent. Not sure who “Julie Doll” is but she is listed as the manager and she never replies to emails sent through Active Building. Resident posts on the message board go days before being approved. So many of the posts are just people complaining and calling each other out for bad behavior. Total lack of respect for neighbors. Leasing office is understaffed; phone doesn’t always get answered, emails not returned. No community gatherings or events. There is nothing about this place that justifies them calling it a “luxury” apartment community. The only really good thing I can say is that maintenance is great. They are timely and always courteous. My only issue with them was when my garbage disposal broke and they removed it without replacing it. That was a feature in my apartment that I really liked having. The nail in the coffin for me was how dramatically they wanted to increase my rent if I were to renew a second time - $131 a month! Completely laughable as there is NOTHING that makes living in a 550 sq ft apartment in this complex worth nearly $1100 a month. They will give you a great deal to move in, then punish you with steep rent increases the longer you stay.Original review: This isn’t a bad place to live. It is definitely NOT a luxury apt community, not sure why they call it that.My apartment is updated and looks great, although the updates are cheap. I’ve not had any issues with my appliances breaking. I love having ceiling fans and storage space and a walk-in closet. The washer and dryer are small but I’ll take small stackables over having to use a community laundry room. I enjoy having a little screened in patio but sadly I can’t use it anymore since my downstairs neighbor moved in. She is loud and chain smokes. I complained to the office but they said there was nothing they could do. If you have a loud neighbor you’re screwed. You can hear absolutely everything around you.I feel safe here for the most part. There have been car break-ins but that happens everywhere. I feel that management doesn’t disclose the crime that occurs.I did have roaches within a few months of moving in. I asked to be added to the list when the exterminator came (weekly, I believe) and he took care of it - no more roaches. I have also found maintenance to be very responsive. The grounds are well-maintained and clean for the most part. Valet trash is a great perk but you do pay for it.What prevents me from giving them more stars is the fact that when it came time to renew my lease, they were trying to increase my monthly rate by $50! I found that outrageous given the fact I wasn’t being offered any improvements or additional amenities. That is a big increase for most people. I was expecting $25 tops. I did manage to talk them down but this was after speaking with two different people. Overall I feel like management is somewhat lacking.
I want to thank Peter at pointe parc for getting us into our apartment so quickly and efficiently. It meant everything to my bf and I. We were able to be moved in and have all the documents done in 2 days.
I have lived here before, when it was the Glades, and was not impressed. The staff was not as synchronized as they needed to be in order to hold up their end of the contract as property managers. So, with hesitation, I recommended it to my mother in law under optimism that Pointe Parc was going to be greater than The Glades. It seemed to have worsened, though. Rude neighbors are a constant, but how they are dealt with in accordance with apartment rules and policies is spineless, in this case. My mother in law walks her dog, picks up after him, and keeps him on a leash. A neighbors dog constantly barks at her dog from its owners screened in patio. This was too much disturbance for said owner, so a complaint is made. My mother in law receives a notification to take the long route when walking her dog in order to not disturb her neighbor. Furthermore, upon walking outside with her dog, two dogs from upstairs that were NOT leashed sprint down the stairs and attack her dog. The policy is to leash every dog no matter what. After taking her dog to the emergency veterinarian to get stitched up, my mother in law informs the staff of what happened. THEY DO NOTHING. They make excuses, avoid any confrontation with upstairs neighbor, and leave my mother in law with nothing but an, Im sorry that happened to your dog. In closing, I do not recommend this complex to anyone. The rot that has festered in this management is either purely self-serving and/or incompetent.
I am a VET looking for an apartment, 2 bedroom. The VA was assisting me in the move in for the first 4 months, including fees. My VA Pension is $1789 per month, plus my SSI. I am 70 years old and waiting for a kidney transplant at MAYO CLINIC. The management and assistants refused to inform me of anything as to progress. I have since moved into an apartment willing to assist and make a person feel at home, in an apartment complex just down the road. Communication appears to be lacking with the Glades.
Decent apartment units, but the appliances never work or get fixed. The price is way too high for such old and outdated buildings. The staff is nice, but they dont do a thing to help you when you have a problem. I would not recommend living here. It was okay because of the location at first, but the apartments become unlivable, youre stuck in hell.
I have enjoyed my time here so far. Neighbors play music at times that can be annoying but dosent last ling. Maintenance quickly resolved issues I had with my bedroom door and toilet. Price is reasonable. So far so good.
Made an appointment to do a tour at this complex, got there and there was only one person in the office attending to someone else. She never acknowledged us, didnt greet us or anything. We sat waiting patiently for about 20 mins before my husband went to ask if anyone is going to even ask us why we were there. She told us she still had to move someone in whenever she was finished with the current person and then she can tend to us. So if we didnt ask she never would have said anything. Whats the point of giving me an appointment to not care about my time when I get there. For someone visiting this complex for the first time I am thoroughly disappointed and definitely not motivated to consider living here.
Even during the COVID pandemic the staff at Pointe Parc is doing their very best to take care of their tenants. For two months they have been trying to get a replacement built in microwave for our kitchen and you can imagine how stressful this was for us! But they kept us updated, tried several different solutions and were able to get it done! Most of all...they were very patient with us! Thank you soooooo much!
RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!Our worst mistake. We moved in on December 1st and this last week we broke our lease because it have been a very disappointing experience. There is so many better places around that area that will cost you the same or just a little bit more. They are expensive for an old and dirty community full of roaches. We had issues since the first day with a very nasty hallway. They don’t clean the building hallway since that day, and they did it because we call them and asked them to clean it. A couple of months ago we call the administration to asked for the hallway cleaning because there are trash cans and it was so dirty, but the answer was that the building was not in the schedule to be clean in that moment and it can take weeks to be in schedule.
If I could give this apartment less than 1 star I would. For starters, the complex rules arent enforced by management whatsoever. My upstairs neighbor has repeatedly let her two dogs off without a leash--one time led to my dog being attacked. Were the individuals held accountable by the apartment complex? Not at all. The apartment complex has significantly gone downhill in the past year. I would stay far away!
Lived here for two years. New Renovations are nice! But completely rude staff & inconsiderate of their residents.... we will be moving asap! Its a nice neighborhood and great apartment. I 100% am moving because of the Owners!
They did aesthetic upgrades however these were built in 1985, everything else is old and rusted. I wouldnt suggest moving here unless youre ok with your apartment staying at 80+ Degrees during the day WITH the AC running or flipping the breaker every time you use your microwave. I suggest this as a LAST resort.
I’m honestly inlove with my apartment & the price is great! Kelsey is very helpful & I really appreciate her ❤️
Beyond awful! My sister lives here & the community has gotten progressively worse the entire time shes lived here. Rude neighbors playing super loud music in the parking lot. This weekend one of neighbors got into a fight with her boyfriend & was hurling stuff off the top balcony and screaming curse words. Dogs barking all through the day. Not luxury living in the least and definite not where you want to be if you enjoy peace & quiet.
I have been living at the glades for roughly 6 months and have had no problems. maintenance quickly fixed any problems I had, pest control came by when needed and the employees respect your privacy. Good apartment complex
I wanted to read some reviews and replies prior to expressing my opinion of this property. The replies, in general are very generic, We are sorry we have not lived up to your expectations..... .... We thank you for your patience, however... .A lot of things now make sense after reading many of these reviews. The office mgr doesnt seem to enjoy herself working here. She is pleasant in passing in that soap-opera plastic sort of way.One day I was returning home and she was parked in the middle of the main through-way, and talking with 2 of the maint. guys (both of which had their own cart, which blocked the entire road) . The maint. guys got into their carts and pulled into parking spaces, very polite. She sat there for another, good 30 secs before beginning to move forward at an idle pace, quite rude. . Needless to say, I am not happy here but will get sued if I attempt to end the lease early.
Okay, real talk. I was really skeptical about moving here because some of the reviews werent great, but I am SO glad I ignored the bad ones (Esp since its recently under new management and a lot of the reviews were from before). Ive been here about 5 months now of my 7 month lease. They accommodated everything for me so that I was able to move in on about a two day notice since I was relocating for a job. Since I wasnt able to be here to tour, they actually worked with my boyfriend (who lived on the other side of town) to face-time me and give me virtual tour. I have only ever had two small maintenance problems and they were fixed within an hour of submitting a maintenance request. Ive never had any problems with neighbors. I NEVER hear anything through the walls. The pool has been recently refurbished and is BEAUTIFUL! I love to grill out by the pool on the new grills when friends come over. We also got a newly updated fitness center and clubhouse, though I havent gotten the chance to visit them. My apartment had been refurbished as well just before moving in and I love the black appliances and dark wood cabinets. The balcony is my cats favorite place to hang out since it is screened in and I am comfortable with him going out to enjoy nature. It is right next to EVERYTHING (directly between the Avenues and St. Johns Town Center so shopping is everywhere as well as the Publix and Winn Dixie right up the street. (Also a good amount of high-quality Asian restaurants nearby which is a plus for me). They are pet friendly and easily accommodated my support animal. My lease signing was painless (Brittany was AMAZING from first contact to signing). Honestly, this is my first apartment on my own and I was prepared for the worst, what with horror stories of having to settle for bad apartments your first time. However, I am SO happy with this apartment and am so extremely glad I chose to live here. Also, the valet trash service is one of my favorite things ever and Food Truck Thursday when food trucks come out to the apartments. I highly recommend this place !!!
Apartment was disgusting on move in day. Also my car has been hit twice since we moved in. (No security cameras so of course I have to pay for it).Overall not very satisfied, and dont feel very safe.
This is a 4-star complex with 2-star service (see Edit, below). Before I signed my lease, the staff was phenomenal! Vilma was thorough, attentive, and always available for questions. The apartments were nice and I was eager to sign, because I thought they offered the value for the money that Aqua Deerwood (a nicer and more expensive community next door) did not. After I signed my lease, everything changed. Calls went un-returned, emails ignored (by everyone, including the complex manager!), and maintenance requests took months to complete with no communication as to why. And on a couple of occasions, maintenance reported completing work that never actually happened. I decided that it wasnt worth being a pest because I frequently left the office (or hung up the phone) after talking to the office and wondering how they had any residents when they treat people so brusquely.I like the complex, so I decided to try and start fresh. I emailed Lauren (the manager) several months before my lease came up for renewal and said that I would like to talk to her about upgrading to a larger unit. No response. No acknowledgement. Nothing. That was my had enough point. I went in to the office and told Sabrina (the one who I hated talking to, because I always left feeling like the most inconvenient person she knew) that I was not renewing. Why? Poor customer service when I was looking for a larger apartment. She completely skipped over the first part and my official reason for leaving is that I wanted a larger unit.No wonder people like me feel like our business is not important to them.So the highlights are a manager who is probably a decent administrator, but incapable of providing any semblance of customer service or communicating, an assistant manager I never saw, met, or heard from, a leasing agent who might (just possibly) hate you to death if you ask her for anything other than to not renew (the nicest she has ever treated me was the day I came in to end my lease), and Vilma who is trying to do it all but simply not able to spin that many plates. The funny/ironic part is: I am probably going to sign up for a larger apartment, in a nicer community, and pay only slightly more than I am right now. Maybe this is karma smiling on me? :)EDIT: After posting this review, I was punished, so beware. If youre unhappy, keep your mouth shut until youre completely free-and-clear.
I lived at point parc for 1 year and a half. It was the second apartment I’ve ever rented. (First was village of baymeadows). The staff gets an A+ for customer service. Maintenance always fixed issues in a timely manner. Most of them are even willing to just give you their cell phone number in case the office doesn’t give them their office timely.Never had any problems with Bugs or roaches. Very very clean apartment. When my boyfriend and I saw ants for about 2 days, they immediately sprayed and we had no issues since. It was so clean my bf and I could eat off the floor or in the bedroom and we never saw any bugs or roaches one time.Point parc throws community events at the pool that are super fun every few months.Cons- in unit washer and dryer in one bedroom was very small. I could not wash by comforters in it.- rent increased after every time my lease ended. It started at 825$ but now they wanted 925$ for me to sign again.I hope this review helps. I usually don’t write reviews but since I’ve been looking for a new place and very dependent on reviews, I wanted to write an unbiased one from someone who was actually a resident for sometime. Overall, i would definitely recommend this apartment.
Absolutely awful. They have been conducting renovations for months while residents still live in their units. They displace the residents because the fumes from the chemicals they are using are so harsh that they shouldnt be taken in. After you come back, you find that some of your items are not where they should be. Bringing up legitimate concerns to the new community manager seems useless, since she appears to dismiss them and provide less than helpful alternatives to your problems. They have hiked the rent prices for ill-kept and ill-managed units. This place was alright a few years ago, but it is painfully obvious that they arent willing to work with residents and seem to be under the mindset of we can get new residents. Explore your options before signing this lease.
Pest problems
Its a nice apartment complex just small 2bedrooms but perfect roommate set up!
Nice and peaceful. Lovely swimming pool
Great location, nice quiet setting and decent price
If I could give this 0 stars, I would. The management is god awful and they really dont care if youre in a pleasant living situation. They like to renovate and by that i mean pump your apartment full of toxic fumes (not caring about any animals in the apartment). Really not concerned about anyones well-being. Wish I would have NEVER moved into that god awful place. HEAD MY WARNING, they do not care about you.
Be ready for restless no good sleep in this place because mosquitoes Harbour and live with you ! Corridors are deemly lit and you have to use your phone or carry a Flashlight on arrival at night to see the steps up the stairs and keyhole to your door. The cleaning on corridors is pathetic still have Hurricane IRMA DEAD LEAVES . Horrible carpetting on floors not leveled and your feet sink in as you walk barefooted. Wrong LUXURY name for such a place . Insulation is Overated expect higher JEA bills just because the AC has to run all thru to keep up. Wrong choice of apartment !! Many regrets.
Lived here for 2 years. Robbins property ruined it. Manager Julie Doll is pathetic. 6 months I felt with people in and out of my home with no notice of entry. I actually woke up once to two men in my apartment that let themselves in to update the counters. Unacceptable. Construction that should have been finished in a month took over a year. I lived with no AC for 2 months and my bills were nearly 200$ a month for a 700sq ft apartment. They refused to fix my ac until I threatened legal action.
Love it here!Ive read some of the negative reviews & Im completely surprised. I know everything is a case by case situation & there is Always 2 sides to every story. So let me share mine:My experience is as of Jan 2017 going forward. The Staff: Very Responsive. During the application phase, verifying income & background/prior rentals, signing lease, move in check list, etc the Manager (Lauren), Asst Manager (Brooke) & our Leasing Agent (Brittany) were nothing but professional, friendly & helpful. My partner (deaf) and I (HoH & read lips) so communication can be a challenge or even frustrating to some hearing people (weve experienced that at businesses)- but NOT once did this staff ever treat us inconsiderately. The Maintenance Staff: Very responsive, explains what they are doing, & follows up with what they have done. And if you arent home when they come to fix something (with your permission), they leave a note and a candy bar telling you they Twix it!Other Neighbors: most people keep to themselves around here. But if you say hello or smile, they say hello and smile back. There isnt a lot of small children here that Ive noticed (which is fine with me) but the ones Ive seen are polite well behaved, typical kids playing outside the apartments.Dogs: Ive never seen dogs off leashes here, ever. I have 2 pugs I walk often all over this complex so I notice other dogs. Yes there are dogs on their own balcony that will bark as you walk by, but hello- theyre dogs, theres only so much control over a dog barking at a passing dog. The ONLY complaint I would have is more for the other dog owners: CLEAN UP YOUR DOGs POOP! Its part of our responsibility as pet owners. The complex provides a few poop stations with poop bags if you are outside w/o one. There is a Dog Park here. It isnt separated for small/large dogs, its one fenced area. But all the dog owners interact w/ each other and easy to get to know the other dogs.Pointe Parc has an Online Portal Website- For Community Information & Interaction w/ Neighbors, Payment Ability, Access to lease information, Direct Email to all Staff, AND Maintenance Requests. Love this feature! The amenities are nicely updated; stainless steel, glass flattops, above stove microwaves, nice cabinets, flooring, thick plantation blinds, some have fireplaces, screened patio/balcony, outside storage closet, valet trash pick up, 2 pools (one has new grills, cabana deck w/ tons of lounge chairs, 2 fitness rooms, club house to hang out or use for a gathering. Its clean, nicely landscaped, updated apts, good location, good medium size (not too big), plenty of parking. Ive never heard my neighbors, Ive never seen police issues.I would definitely recommend this property!
I have lived here for over two years and it was wonderful until the new management company (Robins) took over. The changes they made have been poor and frustrating. They have been completing intrusive renovations, some of which have literally required having no one in the home for at least four hours (which had been awful for the people in my unit including two big dogs). The new community manager is useless when brought into these situations, as her response was to argue what was written on the notice and ask, cant you go to a friends house? I would not recommend this place to anyone now. It has become dangerous for the dogs (the contractors are in and out and cannot be held responsible for pets & they leave nails/trash/materials EVERYWHERE) and frustrating for the residents. The only helpful person in the office is Brooke, who was part of the old staff. My recommendation is to find another apartment complex, because you never know what horrid changes could be coming to the community next.
Edit: no no no no noooooooooooo. The last straw was when my car was broken into at 2am because there’s no gate, and instead of properly alerting residents an actual robbery had taken place they sent out a general email claiming JSO told them it’s the holidays so crime is increasing and some common sense tips we all know (lock your doors etc). I was the one to contact them regarding the crime. When I tried to post the truth on the private community board they denied it WEEKS later because they’re embarrassed and don’t want people to know that cars are being broken into on their property. This is disgusting and dishonest and 100% unacceptable. It has completely changed my view of them. What ever even happened to Kylah? She was so sweet but since I moved in I’ve been having to deal with Brooke Shaw who is cold and a nightmare. She hassled me for months over late fees they kept tacking on despite me having a CONFIRMATION that rent was paid on time. I would pay the 1st and not find out til like the 5th (surprisingly when they grace period is over). As a veteran I moved here because I get a stipend that sometimes comes the first sometimes the 3rd and I enjoyed that flexibility but it was a lie! Days later she’d be like “hm didn’t go through extra 150 dollars”. At one point we were actively discussing the issue and she put a threat for eviction on my door. When I talked to someone higher up he laughed and said “they can’t evict you over late fees.” Then knocked off a few. She’d put about 500 dollars of late fees on my account because their online system wasn’t working properly. Apparently there’s a bunch of pitbulls in apartments and just a whole bunch of mess. And the new gym sucks. There’s no ventilation at all and the TVs have never worked. The equipment is used and breaks. Turn the other way, even if you’re absolutely desperate.———-Im hesitant to give this place 5 stars, as I dont yet live here. But so far my experience has been AMAZING. I was applying at Timberwalk in Mandarin, and they kept giving me the runaround, so I gave up and moved on. I honestly cant remember how I even found this place, honestly by divine intervention if you ask me. But I started applying online for the hell of it, and mid application was contacted by Kylah who is an absolute sweetheart. I usually dont answer random numbers but did this time, and she told me about their special, which I readily accepted. I picked out my unit and finished the application. Literally an hour later she called me back and told me I had been approved! She made the process so quick and easy, and the next day I was signing my lease, and she was showing my brand new apartment. She made my first apartment leasing experience so painless and easy, I am forever grateful to her. Mine is small, as it is my first place, and I didnt want to overextend my budget or have too much space, but the appliances are stainless steel, wood floors, freshly cleaned carpet, big closet, and a little patio. I love doing my makeup and the sink is long enough for a vanity area and has space for a stool underneathNow well just have to see how living here actually is. My unit is right across from the pool and gym, so Im excited for late night lifting and early morning lying by the pool!
I left a review on the new name which is Pointe Parc at St. Johns but i decided to leave one here since its still active.....Listen ... I havent even moved in yet. But I am MORE THAN PLEASED with Pointe Parc. I had an unfortunate situation happen to me last year and I had to leave my old complex which resulted in a broken lease and a $2,000 debt. Most places turned me down and wouldnt lend any type of assistance. Brittany, Lauren and the rest of the staff worked with me and my roommate for about 4 hours trying to help us. Even when we gave up hope, Lauren said to me I Wouldnt have taken your money if I wasnt going to help you and every word she spoke was true. I am so grateful for these ladies and this lovely complex. I can not wait until January to move in. Thank you so much Pointe Parc, you may have just gained yourselves a long time resident. I dont plan on moving until I buy my first home.
Great place to live at I love it
What is there to like? Mold in the units, no pest control even after request, slow and unresponsive maintenance, unhelpful front office staff, more than excessive cleaning fees upon moving out, and unnecessarily high pet fee. I lived here for only five months while stationed in jacksonville and they suggested that I didnt clean anything when I left. The apartment was cleaner when I left than when I moved in. I would not recommend this place to a friend, family, or enemy.
They just changed the name but the staff was horrible, and so was maintenence.
Seems over priced for the amount of square feet you get
