So far I have had a pretty good experience! The approval process was easy and simple. For the price of the apartment I think it’s perfect. The living room is spacious and the bedroom fits a king size bed comfortably. Hoping to stay here for a bit 😊! I’ll update as time goes by.

I wish i can give a zero stars. First of all my experience in this apartment in a year that I live here was a nightmare I have never experienced my life. Eli and Rachel are both hypocrite. Management made me and my family a living nightmare in Portland. Begin with the neighbors that live downstairs with always calling the cops. And basically complaining to the office every single day. Apt 257 was was management focus everyday. But when I call they never answer my calls but they will want to text my phone with irrelevant question. Then you have to deal with the maintenance that drives around with his family in the car at the apartment complex as security. And they will be recording you with there cell phone. And what was the last thing management did to me and my family. Manager Rachel call me one day saying resident and maintenance have recorded my (minor)son by the pool with another (minor) doing inappropriate things. I made a report with Irving Pd. Made numerous complain with corporate office and noting was never done. Oh and dont waste your time with corporate they will take a week to follow up with you. Stay away from this apartment complex if management dont like you they will make you and your family a nightmare living at 3800 on Portland. They need a manager they care about the resident not one that always rude and have attitude. Rachel is rude and Eli is fake.

I moved from out of state earlier this month. The staff here have gone above and beyond at every turn. I love my apartment, it is clean and has had some recent upgrades. The complex is great for those who work from home or commute. It is also nice to be just off of several main roadways. A great complex with a great staff!

Went to see these apartments last Saturday! Eli was the one showing us and made the approval process and answered any questions we had. So excited to move in on the 1st! Thanks Eli for making the process smooth and easy 🙂

Worst apartment in Irving area, they are there only to take your money, my friend is living there and I visit them frequently with my dog, recently they charge fine for bringing my pet to his apartment and gave warning that no pets would be allowed even for 1 hours. When he went to talk about that, manager was super rude.Apartment is a mess…

At this point I just want out of this lease 😩 been staying here since Dec19 been through 3 different mangers in all which the 2 of the three both have terrible customer service skills Ive tried speaking w/ the manger in office now which is Rachel but shes very nonchalant to any concerns you might have about your unit. Dont respond to emails or work orders, but quick to add additional fees to your monthly bill. Ive been through more issues w/ this apartment complex than Ive been through any place Ive stayed all combined. Ive even contacted corporate in which they were very courteous, but I was told I would receive a follow-up call on 4-15 and here it is 4-20 and I havent heard anything from the front office nor cooperate. I have a 2 mnth old and the last thing I want to do is have to move, but at this point I rather move and pay rent to a company that appreciate their residence.

Ive been at this apartment complex many years, and I like how this current management group,help, people with work orders, and gave help to renters dealing with Covid19 etc. Its a great place to live. Great family atmosphere.

If you want to move in this apartment make sure you dont have any friend visiting you there with pets. And dont even go around swimming pool which is worst than some roadside ponds. If you have to go through higher level application to get swimming pool access.They will show you nice attitude during the application but once you lease then you are trapped.Worst experience ever..... wont recommend to anyone.

Worst apartment ever. Pool is garbage and manager is rude. They are nice until you sign the lease. No guest pet for even an hour is unacceptable. Try to avoid it at all cost.

A LOT of positive remarks here about Eli Woodard (Leasing agent) - and I can confirm theyre well-deserved and for good reason. I was someone looking for a place to live from out-of-state, on super short notice, and unfamiliar with the whole process. Thankfully, Eli was there to catch me. He put me in a beautiful, clean apartment in record time (under 1.5 weeks), and was extremely particular about ensuring I had an easy, stress-free move-in experience. As to the property itself, the premises are kept handsome! Apartments are affordable, and in good condition. The maintenance team is always out and about, trash is taken out regularly, the community is quiet, very pet-friendly, and location is fantastic. Love it!

Worst apartment I ever lived. They always used to have hot water issues once in a month but this time It’s been 9 days and still no hot water. We don’t have shower in this COVID situation going on. Very old apartment which has multiple code paint over the wall and it came off by it self which it is very dangerous for our baby if my baby takes the color off and eat it. Poor management, I do not recommend anyone to move here. I am tired of their management.

This apartment complex here at 3800 on Portland hands down is one of the best apartments Ive lived in since I ve moved here to Texas five years ago. And the manager Cindy is the Best. She is helpful, her service is amazing, any question you have she always there to help with any concerns and so fort. My 2 bedroom, 2 bath is spacious exactly how i like it and the location couldnt be better. Am glad i ended up here at 3800 on Portland. Wonderful Apartment Complex!

This apartment is a nightmare in reality. Very poor customer service and rude behavior from the management. No clear information is provided to the renters and tries to steal money from then with unnecessary fines.

When I first came across these apartments, Fatima was in office along with Eli, both of these people are extremely welcoming and sweet, unfortunately I was unable to move in and requested a refund from corporate with I was approved, so when it came down to me receiving my refund 2 months later, Cindy is in office now, and let me tell you she may sound nice and loving but if it’s not about you signing a lease then she is the rudest meanest Crude. Instead of hearing me out she wants to rush everything I say all because of money. Eli was still nice through the whole situation so thank you Eli

I am not pleased with this apartmemt at all. We pay the rent utilities bill just to get cold water in winter. Every other day, they sent the email about emergency water shut off and boiled water not working. It has been one week since the hot water is not working in my apartment and have been showering with cold water. They dont pick up the call at all. And even left the voice mail, no call back at all. I am surprised to see how they got 3.8 star since i do not see any good thing about this apartment.

I moved in December and since I’ve been here there has been nothing but problems, the water is always going off something is always happening to affect the living here. Sinks give off very small amount of water. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

The worst apartment ever. I think they work with car towing companies as a share in every chance they get they towed your visitor car. I don’t recommend the apartment for any one they don’t treats their resident as they should.

I would give ZERO stars if I could!! They did an excellent job upgrading the office to make this property appear upgraded and nice. That is a HUGE façade. I signed my lease and received my keys on Saturday October 31st. I did a walk-through only to be blindsided by the condition of the unit. I filled out the walk-through list and was told because it was a weekend it would be Monday before everything would be fixed. Monday evening we showed up with the first load only to walk into a furnace. The HEAT was set to 90 degrees on ful blast. Also majority of the things had not been fixed. The shower only allowed hot water to come out so for 2 days we were without a shower as they had to gut the entire thing. They did a very poor messy job and left a giant mess afterwards. That very weekend sparks were flying out of the sockets in the living room with nothing plugged into them. They replaced 2 outlets. The following Friday the lights in the front of the unit (kitchen, dining, living) just went out. We placed a call to the emergency maintenance and were told that wasnt considered an emergency. So we sat in the dark for the weekend until that following Tuesday. I had complained about the dryer not venting and the dishwasher not working in the initial list of problems. They apparently dont have the necessary tool to reach all the way through the vent line, so I guess too bad for us? The dishwasher only runs the wash cycle and holds standing water at the bottom and smells like mold, but because the maintenance man saw steam (from the wash cycle) he claims thats just how it works. I also immediately noticed the ceiling fans were EXTRMELY loose and wobbly, again I was told they were supposed to be that way. Today I was woken up suddenly by the ceiling fan falling from the celling over my bed, thankfully it wasnt my childrens room. Waited 2 hrs with live electrical wires hanging from my ceiling. Ive also been waiting for my DISGUSTING, broken warmer drawer on my stove to be replaced for 2 weeks. And I still have screws holding the replaced bathroom mirror in place from it being installed a week ago. Its always well be back or its supposed to be that way. They have done absolutely nothing to make this right. The management is absolutely AWFUL. Rude, unprofessional, and unwilling to admit fault. If you are considering leasing here RUN!!!!! This place is the worst experience Ive ever had anywhere Ive ever lived and its only been 3.5 weeks!!!!

What happened to our manager. Eli said they had to chose between him and her. What kind of answer is that? This management company really let go of the wrong person. I love the changes made by Cindy. She’s the first in a long time since I’ve been here that made some real good changes.Staff in office now is horrible, maintenance is horrible they come and leave and never come back. Guy in the red truck disappears all the time. The investors of this property need to really look for another management company or they personally should come and start walking the properties they invest in.This is crazy!!!!DO NOT LIVE HERE!

The customer service is great! All of the ladies in the office are so nice and welcoming. Brittany was my leasing agent. Lived here for a bit. The renovations are nice & the upcoming amenities will definitely be great. They always send me notices when they turn the water off hours before they do it for construction. And it’s during business hours so I’m never home so I don’t care. The staff is great and has always helped me out.

UPDATED REVIEW : After writing this review and speaking with corporate as well as Cindy reached out to me, I wanted to update my review AGAIN like I said before communication is the key,and I believe it was simply miscommunication among the office staff and myself. Never did I want it to get to this point of writing a bad review but I was feeling ignored with the several vm,call backs I requested.AGAIN my biggest problem wasnt the maintenance issue the fact it was a lack of communication. As of 715-20 my work order has been fully completed, and I have spoken to Cindy and she has apologized for the lack of communication. I love my unit and hope going down the line my stay at 3800 only continue to get better.CINDY and her new staff have took over i have had the worst experience at this property. She dont respond to any call backs when you leave a vm, i have put maintenance orders in one after another on the same issue. Where none of them have been responded to. I relocated to Dallas area in December and debated on a couple of properties, I was skeptical about this property based on previous reviews about the office staff. Thats one thing I pride on good customer service and management having good relations with there tenants. And I should of believed the reviews! This office staff especially Cindy dont care about her residents only care about is $$$. I pay my rent faithfully on time. I dont think its to much to ask for where I pay my rent for the office to tend to the request of their tenants.Oh and these pictures is how my bathroom have been looking for 3 mnths and counting and mold is getting worse.

I absolutely love it here. I came during the constructions and just from the buildings and parking lots it already looks amazing. My upgrades are great. I have REAL granite counter tops and stainless steal appliances. I cannot wait until everything is done. I need this 24 hour fitness center! OH, and the ladies in the office are so awesome and very professional.They make it seem like a home more than a business.

Okay first of all this place gets my rate for a 5 Star WHY, because the girls in the office are GREAT idk what y’all are saying something that they don’t send notices that they are going to do something, they send them ALL the time y’all probably have them on report to junk or just ignore them because of previous management it takes a while to start from the bottom. My props to the new management you’re doing a AWESOME job. All I’m going to say is treat people they way you want to be treated.

Ms Fatima is an excellent person, very kind and she answered all my questions in a very good way, she showed me the apartments and they looked beautiful completely remodeled, she also showed me the new pool and it looks incredible. 3800 Aparments is an excellent place to live, thank you Fatima for your help you do an excellent job.

Avoid this apartment ! Do not Deal with Fatima (Manager) and Brittany !!i had an lease agreement for 1 year but for personal reason i had to terminate it early. i left the place on 11/30/19 and asked a lady at the office how to pay my balance and termination fees. she said they will send me a mail with the final balance and utilities. i emailed them again after a few days with my forwarding address and my final balance..never receive a response. i emailed them again after 20 days of leaving apartment and still got no response (i attached a copy of sent email to Fatima- the manager and Brittany). they never replied my email, send me an invoice or even called me.3 days ago i got a call from a collection agency stating i have an unpaid rent balance. instead of informing me of the balance despite several attempts, they sent it to the collection directly. i just paid off the balance. they just wanted to play with my credit score. i had complained abt AC not working last summer. the maintenance at first didnt response either but later after multiple emails, they finally replaced the AC which was broken and they made us live in that 105 degrees temperature for 3-4 days without an AC. they probably took revenge for this.the management is rude, and very very unprofessional. apartments are also not livable and your complaints will not be heard if its gonna cost the management money.avoid this property full of incompetent, unprofessional and revengeful employees who just will play with your credit just because they had to put an working AC in your room in Summer.i have also filed a complaint against legacy rei group with BBB.

I have been her for a month now and let me tell you how great the staff has been!The day of move in it was about 4 pm, I get there all hot and tired with a truck load to unpack and my AC is not working. As I am realizing this Brittany is calling to check on things, you know a standard good customer service practice, and I totally appreciated it, and I tell her about the AC. Well it is too late in the day to get the maintenance man to look at it but he brought a portable AC unit right away till they could look at it the next day! AWESOME! It was fixed the next day!Next up, they are working very hard to improve the property! Parking lot is being redone, my unit has new flooring, all new appliances, beautiful counter tops and any time I have needed help with anything I can stop in or call and they are always willing to help and in a timely fashion.Looking forward to the leasing office update being completed, and the fitness center and the pool!Bottom line is, the staff is working hard to make this a nice place to live and so far I am very happy here.

I would hav given 0 rating if I hav an option but unfortunately I can’t. Such a poor management. It’s just been a 1and half month we moved here and we have already faced so many problems. The apartment is not properly furnished and main thing is that the maintenance never showed up on time. I would recommend not to lease this apartment! This is the worst apartment I hav ever leased.

If this apartment complex wasnt infested with roaches it would be a nice community. However, please be aware roaches come out at night and there is nothing you can do about it. Summer and the staff in the office are the worst. Their attitudes are so bad like they work at this grand apartment complex making a lot of money. Lol... When I attempted to speak with Summer about the roach issue I was experiencing she told me that she lived in a house and spraying for roaches is a courtesy!! So nasty and so rude!! As politely as I could I advised her that I didnt bring these roaches with me they belong to her and Sierra Point! I finished my lease agreement during my time there I probably I killed 365 roaches or more. I moved to another community in Irving and Im so happy! Sierra Point should be investigated by the board of health or whoever review apartments. You get what you pay for!!

IF I COULD GIVE THIS COMPLEX AND MANAGEMENT 0 STARS, I WOULD. I am giving yall 5 so that my review won’t get lost with all the reviews that are not true. Management here is not professional AT ALL, they will not get back to you regarding any issues/concerns. My A/C has been leaking since August 1st of 2018 (my move in date). Maintenance is called weekly and, in a week the ac starts leaking again. My restrooms wall never got repainted after the leak caused mould. To top it off the hot water is cut off on a weekly basis (I’ve been keeping track). Also, cars get towed even if registered. All of this I can put up with but my biggest issue with this complex is in concerning my registered emotional support Jack Russel Terrier. 6 months into my 12-year lease I received a notice in regard to my dog. I promptly presented myself and the required documentation to the leasing office. The office ladies expressed zero interest in me trying to resolve the mishap. I reached out to the corporate office who then proceeded to question my integrity stating that my support animal registration was “fabricated”. I submitted additional information to the corporate office and never received a response till earlier this week I received an eviction notice to remove my dog from the apartment. I’m in complete shock and utterly baffled, I have never had a landlord present me with such issues. As a good citizen living in this complex, I did. This however does not mean I wont keep fighting this

Have lived in the complex since 2006, The complex upgrades were years over due, Some of the issues with the boiler are frustrating but I understand things need to be fixed. The old owners stripped the property of the fitness room a couple months after I moved in and the property ended back in the banks hands so nothing was truly fixed properly. Fatima and crew are on top of things now and things are getting back to where they are supposed to be. Most of riff- raff is now gone thank god.

With the new ownership they are slowly making upgrades. Ive been here 5 years and yes the last management team was horrible but this new group are the best. We had some transferring issues that delayed out move but they did everything they could too make it up to us. Thank you too team 3800 on Portland.Im sure everything will look and work great after all the renovations are complete. Be patience with them. I did and it worked out good so far for me

This complex is just awful honestly. If you can hold off a bit, I would honestly suggest you do more research and find a better complex. The location is amazing as it is right next to the highway, but that is the only perk.They changed management and if the last team wasnt worthless enough, these office people are 10xs worse. The bald dude is rude as hell, they hardly inform you about anything. If you have an issue that is out of your control, talking to him will be a waste of time, but if you enjoy being talked down to and treated like a kid, go for it.Also they seem to do these random apartment checks way too often.I understand like one every 4-5 months but it seems like they happen very often. Also, they changed the doors out and I didnt know this was even happening, so all of my valuables were just exposed in my living room for I dont even know how long. If you want any kind of privacy, you will not get it here.Also note that this place is completely infested with roaches. So moving out will be a hassle to ensure I wont have company following me to my next home. Trust me, it doesnt matter how clean you are, you will have roaches. They come from all the surrounding units and it doesnt seem like this is an issue with the management. Ive never seen pest control.**They recently hosted an event and coerced people to write good reviews about the complex in order to win prizes, so dont be fooled. Even one star is a compliment for this place. Couldnt imagine anyone giving a higher rating without being bribed.

First of all, the front desk is rude. The ac has not been working since last 3 days and it’s about 95 degrees inside the apartment. They still are not concerned about how difficult it is living in the apartment even though we’ve let them know. This kind of situation is supposed to be solved immediately but, they say it’s gonna take a day or more to fix it, which has made us living in this apartment very hard.

This apartment complex was built in the 70s and it shows. There isnt a water heater for each apartment, instead there is a boiler that supplies hot water for the entire complex. Good luck in having hot water on a regular basis. While you look at your next possible apartment look closely at how they painted over the counter tops, bathtubs and door hinges. Its an attempt to cover over 45 year old materials. Also, take note of how many cracks and patches are in the walls. They also accept Section 8 payments which is great for those who cant afford housing but goes a long way in telling you that youre paying full price for government subsided housing.

The girls at the office put up by the new management works on threat basis even for the smallest things. There attitude is like If you do not do as we say we will hunt you and fine you $$$ amount or kick you out. This is a home for many of us and we want to feel comfortable and not be threatened. Feeling threatened is the last thing I want. I really want to move to a different apartment. I wonder since all of them are hispanics (the girls at the office) are they same to other hispanics or do they get better homely treatment.

Please be aware of the large water bugs and rats! They will tell you that they dont have rat problems but yes they do. They will tell you that they will spray for bugs every Wednesday and thats a lie. Please whatever you do, keep all receipts especially when you pay your deposit because they DO NOT want to refund you your deposit. Please read your lease before signing making sure that your deposit amount is on your lease CORRECTLY! Sierra Point Apartments will never be recommended by me to someone else! Go in at your own risk. I have learned!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!Also please do not handle anything over the internet if you are moving here from out of town. Please handle everything in person including deposit.... They are full of it!!!!!!

These sparkling pools they mention in the descrption is funnny cos I didnt know dirty ass pools could spark smh. Never seen the sauna, but based on this complex is general, I wouldnt trust that either. And the courtyard that they describe as beautiful is mostly just dead grass and exposed dirt. They also just cut down their biggest and prettiest trees for whatever reason. Also on the description, they left out the most important amenity, the roaches.
