Staff has been very kind, accommodating and detail oriented about the move-in process. I felt I was cared for as a future tenant.Ive found the community to be quiet and the staff very responsive to any issues. Theyve been very quick to help in any way possible.Great location that is near everything, but still tucked away a bit.
Please do not move here! Please do not move here! Please do not move here. Communication is horrible here, the maintenance team scratched up my bathroom wall placing a new sink in. Please don’t move here. I suggest carlyle court.
Please do not rent with these apartments!!! My experience has been horrible. I recently applied to these apartments. After asking tons of questions and touring I felt like this would be a good place for me and my family. After putting in my application, I was called by someone in the office stating I had to provide a W2 from last year because my husband had recently started a new job. I have never been asked for a W2 during the application process. He provided 3 paystubs and a hire on letter, however this was not enough. We went ahead and gave the W2. After waiting about two weeks to hear back, they say we were denied because he just started a new job! Even tho we provided more than enough information to show he never had any gaps in employment. What was the point in asking for W2 and other documentation if it was going to be denied for something we stated in the beginning. I’ve also heard very poor things about the staff in office. And I believe they are true due to the way I was handled throughout the process. Please look elsewhere!
I stayed at the Lodge from 2010 to 2015. I enjoyed my five years there and have no complaints. The office staff, Shanda and Chelsea particularly, were always friendly. The apartments were cheap and spacious. When I first signed my lease, I was paying $515 for an 850 foot 1 bedroom apartment with two closets, a den, a spacious patio area, and plenty of storage space (I’d imagine they cost more nowadays). I was also satisfied with the fact that the complex was near the Fall Creek trail, several grocery stores, and the Broad Ripple area. Also, downtown Indianapolis wasn’t too far either. Every building came with its own washer and dryer, as opposed to one laundry facility for the entire complex. It was very convenient to be able to do my laundry without leaving my building. My only complaint was that there was no gym. Even though there are several cheap gyms in the area, I think this complex should have a gym instead of the tennis court, which was rarely used. But still, I give this place 5 stars, as I had a wonderful experience staying there for 5 years.
Wish I would’ve listened to all the bad reviews if you like it to rain in your apartment when it rains outside and a buildings with pest infestations this is the perfect place for you and they don’t care they just want money I hate it here and I want out!!
This place has been great to live at. Its affordable and the layout of the apartments are actually really roomy for how much you are paying. Its quite, never noisy, the walls are pretty sound proof. Maintenance has always been great and taken care of whatever needs fixed right away when calling it in. And the ladies that work at the office are the nicest people! They really do what they can to make this place the best it can be for everyone which I really appreciate.
I stayed here 2012 to 2016. Best 4 years in an apartment. Lots of fond memories here. I would have stayed had I not had to move out of town.
Now that the lady manager has left this is a much better place to live. The current manager actually seems to care about the residents. That other lady was HORRIBLE! AND INCOMPETENT! My refrigerator was collecting and leaking water and her response was for me to remove my ice cube trays and wait 3 days. Wait WHAT??? She finally decided to provide new refrigerator after I sent videos of water pouring from refrigerator. I had a fire in my unit and she said they cant look at it until the insurance adjuster came out. Once he did - 4 days later - she said they couldve come to view damages days before. Thats not what she said originally. She didnt even think that it was important for her to submit a detailed claim for THEIR property. I had to live in an apartment that still had burn residue until me and my husband decided to clean it. Trust me. It wasnt easy. Thats just some of the horror stories dealing with that lady. So glad I dont have to deal with that. Now that shes gone, weve decided to sign a new lease.
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! If you get swindled into living here, at least my conscience will be clear. When you sign that lease, they become responsible FOR NOTHING and make you as the tenant responsible for everything! The ONLY thing they care about is getting their money. The google user who gave this 5 stars is probably the property manager, because I dont know how anyone of sound mind would ever resign at this place.
I would say living here does the job but it’s nothing spectacular. The price is great for the amount of room you get. The two maintenance men are nice and will come the next day after you put in a request. These buildings are old so some of the things that have broken are frustrating. I didn’t have AC when I moved in but they were quick to replace it. I was cleaning up 4-6 LIVE wasps a day for a few months. They did come spray when I called but it didn’t help and I was ignored when I kept calling. I’ve taken wet laundry to the laundromat since the dryers were broken. Non of the issues I’ve experienced were really that bad, more just frustrating. Mark and Lana in the office are okay but sometimes you have to call a few times or show your face to get things done. The pool is nice but old and I’ve been there when people are openly smoking a bowl of weed. Not super family friendly. You can hear everything your neighbors do. I am moving out of state but I probably would have signed a lease again here if I stayed. It does the job for the price.
Been living at the Lodge for over 2 years and i love it! Maintenance is fast, and friendly, had some issue with weed smokers but it was handeld efficiently. The office staff is always friendly and nice and take care of whatever is needed. Oh and also, it is conviently located close or not far from down town, childrens museum, the fairgrounds, castleton, 69, and keystone at the crossing. the rent is reasonable and the apartments are spacious! The controlled access makes it safe for my daughter and I. Will be renewing another year lease!
