Maintenance is terrible. They do temporary fixes for long time problems. I’ve had a leak in my linen closet for quite some time now. When mentioned they sent the maintenance man and all he did was stick a piece of tape over the leak. Now it is still leaking and has called tons of mold spores in my linen closet. Has soiled some of my children’s blankets they can no longer use. On top of having covid, it is unhealthy for us to be breathing and living in these types of conditions. But then want to charge you over $100 dollars in rent late fee. Rent was due on the 1st I didn’t get paid until the 5th, so that’s when I paid it. Will be going to the health department and finding a way of this lease cause this is not worth what I’m paying each month.
UPDATE JULY 1, 2021 @ 11:10 PM--Got home and someone was parked in my carport. Called the towing company about 22 times with NO ANSWER over 30 min span. This has happened numerous times despite calling the office and corporate about the poor service of the towing company @Indianasfinesttowing and they refuse to hold the towing company accountable for their poor service to the residents of this complex!People park in your carport that you rent and the towing company never shows up after calling them. They claim that the towing company comes through nightly and I have NEVER witnessed this. Maintenance is extremely slow. Management is poor.
The office staff is always nice & super helpful...each 1 of them! The maintenance staff is pleasant & polite. Grounds always clean. NO Geese & no Geese droppings! Im not sure how they do it, with 2 ponds on the property, but THANK GOODNESS. I like it here. I assigned 4 stars due to inadequate knowledge from the leasing agent whose employment ended amid my application process & move-in process. Additional fees unexplained (by the prior agent). Its all good now. Smooth sailing.
Please do not move into these apartments!!! I have had several issues with my apartment over the years (e.g. weeks to address maintenance issues, crime, continuous noise issues, etc), but the most recent issues prompted me to write this review. I have lived in my apartment for two years and maintained excellent renter history. I recently experienced some hardships due to the pandemic (being a caregiver after a family member contracted COVID) and loss of income. I maintained my rent, but missed the renewal date. I contacted the leasing office and they were still trying to significantly increase my rent. I was given the following options: take half of my temporary renters assistance resources or significantly increase my rent per month. Both are financially draining and the apartments are not worth the hassle. Please beware that this apartment company is terrible.
Anna is such a sweetheart, her customer service was top notch, my first tour with her sold me totally... and they have a fast response service when I had issues.
My boyfriend has been staying here since August 2018 and I moved in July 2019. Overall, the experience has been good. Maintenance could be faster but since they only have two maintenance employees its understandable. The safety concern has been okay. I do believe more proactive on the apartments would be a good idea such as security around the clock and security cameras around the apartment complex. The gym is really a bonus if you do not feel like going far to work out. The pool is good. Parking is okay. Its very quiet most of the time, which is great. The apartment upkeep has been good only had a few issues over the years since living here. We are staying one more year and will be moving in 2022 to a bigger space either a townhome or a house.
The apartment style is nice, I will say that. But since I’ve been living here, I put in an order for a couple things to be fixed in my apartment. I contacted them more than once through email. (It’s always good to get everything in writing.) It took them 3 to 4 mos to finally get maintenance to me to fix the things in my apartment. I thought that was ridiculous. They told me the issue was due to COVID. Yea ok. I let that one go.My next issue is how terrible they are about answering the phones. If they don’t answer, I will pop up at the office. But who wants to do all of that? I will be contacting the property manager & if that doesn’t work, I will be overseeing her. Sometimes after not answering the phone, when u pop up at the office it’s locked. When u check the hours, it says that the office is suppose to be open. No email notification is sent prior to let a tenant know that the office is closed in advance. So my question is why are u close?
I am (thankfully) on a short term lease at Center Point and cannot wait to get out of here. It is overpriced and the grounds are not well kept. We are on the second floor and had our thermostat set at 70 for the colder months and our apartment was freezing at all times. The seal on the doors and windows was non existent and some of our windows you could actually see outside where the seal should be. It took them just over a month to get someone in here and replace the windows that were needed. Of course they were replaced with the cheapest materials possible and with plastic on the windows you could see the wind blowing into them. We asked that they looked at the weather stripping around the doors because shivering in a “70 degree” apartment that’s furnace is constantly running is not ok, especially with two small children. That took a month as well and then they ran out of materials for one door and just never came back. Our dishwasher had stagnant water in it and was not functional for about 2 weeks. Maintenance guys are super nice.. probably over worked.. but don’t expect to get things fixed in a timely manner. The front desk staff is superficially nice, but quick to get defensive on the phone and hang up. They didn’t remove snow this winter for a couple days, and the parking lots were a mess until it was warm enough to melt. There is goose poop everywhere. So if you aren’t stepping in dog poop (because that is also every where) you are going to step in goose poop. I understand you can’t control wild life, but they could at least attempt to keep the common areas somewhat clean and maintained. We have 2 small children and pay $100 monthly in water. $25 per person. My baby doesn’t use much water monthly, but it didn’t matter if she was a newborn or a shower daily adult.. every one gets charge the same. Packages take forever to arrive. Amazon packages will say they were delivered days before they arrive in the hub. Lastly. The apartment doesn’t give timely notice of any on-site work/maintenance. Aka.. on Monday they’ll let you now that “this week” there will be gutter cleaning.. or starting tomorrow we’re doing fire alarm testing for the next 4 business days and if you can’t give us access to your apartment you’ll be charged a fine. It’s understanding they can’t accommodate everyone’s busy schedules, but they don’t give anyone a chance to adjust their schedules as needed. Thinking of living here? Just say no.
Nice place to live just need to keep gate fixed
Great community, quiet and safe. Awesome staff. Within 15 minutes of downtown and airport. Close to shopping and dining. Eagle Creek trail is a few steps outside your door.
Worst apartments to live in, they go up on your rent every month, and the year least really be 11 months, maintenance people steals out of your apartment when your not there. The office never answers.maintenance never shows up, they never come clean your filters. Appliances is not updated.
I really enjoy living here, the staff is friendly & helpful, the grounds are very well kept & clean. Im sure Ill be renewing my lease. ☺
I will be signing my third lease here at Center Point; that should really say it all, but it doesnt. To be more specific, we are staying because of the staff and leadership team (which includes the service staff); they are wonderful. Always smiling, understanding, responsive and fair.Good character is a quality in todays world and can be seen and experienced here at Center Point.
I really enjoy living here, the management, staff and matinence team are wonderful people! But I will admit the kitchen is a bit old but, it works perfectly so it dont bother me too much. Its a bit expensive but it also seems like every apartment complex is drastically increasing their price! The community itself is safe just be careful visiting the surrounding areas because its a bit rough!
Despite the age of this community I believe the current administration has greatly improved vs previous administrations. Maintenance requests and property cleanliness have been priorities as well as the security of the property.
Lived here since july. I absolutely love it! Needless to say im not going anywhere any time soon. This is home to me and my family.
Center Good is what they should call this place. The staff are awesome and very helpful. Maintenance is trustworthy and reliable. The gym is spacious and often times residents aren’t in and it felt like a home gym( and it has a shower in there so you can do a one stop prep for your day) I did want more leg machines but overall great workouts were accomplished. If it weren’t for wanting to save some extra funds for purchasing a home in the near future this would be my forever home. I have had some ups and downs over the year of living here and the complex was there to support. I believe complexes are there best when management is at there best. We all have different needs and the complex in my opinion works to prioritize everyone needs. Oh and You’ll see them on the go carts, they answer questions, offer help and just are good people. Last but not least is they have aMazon lockers, man oh man as a prime user I’m always randomly ordering so to know I can get my package whenever even if the office isn’t open makes for a great experience. Making the choice to leave is a hard one however I know that my time here has to end for a new chapter to begin.
We have had a few minor repairs but the office staff are excellent and on it and actually let us know when the water is turned off! Hailey, peyton, and regina are all wonderful and kind. Seriously a better community . Only thing is our neighbors upstairs are loud (running and walking wise) but luckily the walls are pretty thick. Still much better than where we used to live . :)
Ive only been here 4 days, but this place is everything I hoped for. My last apartment was filthy when I moved in, looked nothing like the unit I toured, and was infested with cockroaches. I was unable to tour in person due to COVID, but my apartment looks *exactly* like the virtual tour. Haylee was extremely helpful and informative during the entire application and move-in process. I feel extremely safe here so far, everyone Ive met is friendly, and the staff are super professional. I cant see my opinion changing anytime soon.
Centerpoint apartments is a great place to live. The apartments are nice and well taken care of. Super quiet, clean and the office staff and maintenance are very nice and has been absolutely helpful. Love it here! Safe gated community..!
I have enjoyed all of my neighbors since I moved into Center Point. They are like family and make sure that our building stays like family. Center Point has its moments when things go array but they get things together eventually.
Everyone has been extremely helpful as I move from Baltimore to Indiana. The apartment is beautiful and the view is wonderful. Cant wait to settle in!
Theres a mice infestation at this complex, the board of health has been notified. Over a thousand of dollars a month to live with mice this is some bs. My husband has killed more mice then the so call exterminator they have to come out. I have never regretted something so much moving here from day one. I wish they had an option to a negative star.....
This place is overpriced. 1 bedroom apartment is $900. All these amenities are listed but its truly not worth it. The pool is closed every other day for maintenance or upkeep. I get 1 day off from work a week and I should be able to access the pool for the amount of money I pay to live here, especially when its middle of summer. Very disappointed. One of the main reasons my husband and I moved here was because of it being a gated community. The gates only work for a couple days before theyre down for months. I cannot wait for my lease to be up next June.
I enjoyed living at Center Point. The staff was helpful and willing to work with us. At first we had problems with getting work orders fixed, but after September or so of 2017 all of our work orders were fulfilled quickly. We did have a slight bug problem but Center Point took care of that quickly. Overall, my roommates and I liked living at Center Point and found the staff to be courteous and efficient.
The customer service
I moved out due to ongoing mold issue. I put in several work orders to have the mold removed. Well maintenance wanted to paint over the mold instead of removing it. (Not to mention it was black mold). The amount of money that they want you to pay is not worth it.
I feel like it’s too expensive for the apartment to not be at all updated. Great when the gates work. Staff is friendly and maintenance is quick.
I wanted to wait until I lived at Center Point for a year before posting a review. I see a lot of minor to major complaints, but some people post negative comments based off of emotion and because they want to be catered to ASAP like theyre the only people living in the complex. So here is my honest opinion after 12 months of living at Center Point.1. Maintenance staff response time on average is B+2. Upkeep of the complex is an A3. Safety within the complex is a D ..... I HIGHLY recommend security. I felt safer living in my old hood.4. Office staff A .....they are amazing and fast to help w/ concerns5. Ordered Packages/Mail B.... all packages are kept in the office for your own security.6. Apartment living & space is a BThe ONLY Main concern you should consider prior moving into Center Point is Safety. I honestly would have stayed if there were on duty IMPD officers patrolling at night.
Thee worst apartment community I’ve ever been to! If I prayed to God to give me worse, he couldn’t! The biggest detriment amongst many, is that I was forced to move after only one yr because they raised rent $100!!! My rent was 1100! They charged me $300 for 10 days late notice for intent to move! Highly discriminatory and penny-pinchers!Do yourself a favor: RUN
There are so many things to say about Center Point, but mostly negative. When I first moved into this complex the staff was completely different and new. As a result the apartment I was assigned to was not the apartment I asked for. The mistake was found when I moving in. When I refused to take that apartment I was reassigned to a 1 bedroom with a toilet in the tub. It was fixed later. Even though the complex was at fought I was charged for it. From there the problem is continued from anywhere from no heat in the apartment to now no mailbox. The staff in the complex is stable now only if you speak with Melia or Haley. The exterior is in dire need of update and the interior needs even more updated. Overall this complex is not worth the money that they’re asking for also just because you see the security gate up does not mean this is a secured a location. Half of the time the gates don’t work and There are additional ways to get into the complex where the security gate is not completely build or have a lock on it.
Best term I can use to describe facility is Gradual Decay. Have been at this facility for seven years - First two years were fantastic, no problems. Then in 2012, site had new ownership/management... Started seeing changes: Things did not get repaired as before, site not taken care of as before, contact with office more and more challenging. Then late 2016, site now owned by FairField management. This is supposed to be a gated community, as they advertise it. The North gate fell apart almost 2 years ago, has never been fixed; South gate was hit by a car (resident, no less), and never fixed. So residents pay premium for a gated community that is not gated. If you call the office/clubhouse, you get voicemail, every time. Only way to get a direct answer it to physically go to go there..... If they are open - hours/days employees are at the Clubhouse have been cut back over the years, no one there at all on Sundays. Online service repair orders can go by for weeks, if any response at all. Crime in facility has progressively gone up over years. Rent has gone up between 6% and 30% from year to year. Conclusion: Center Point Home Apartments would like to advertise themselves as an upscale, almost luxury facility, but they just do not hit the mark.
I have lived in my apartment at Center Point for approximately two years. I hate to complain, but I am not satisfied with the unit due to an ongoing roach issue. I have placed multiple work orders for pest control to come and spray in hopes that this issue would be resolved. Unfortunately, I have noticed more roaches now than ever before. I am a very clean individual, and I do not keep dirty dishes in my sink, I also keep my trash can outside on the balcony to eliminate roaches from coming into my kitchen. Not to mention that I also have two babies that are crawling, which requires me regularly vacuum and keep the floor clean. The exterminator expressed that he does not think that my apartment is the source of the issue. I know this sounds dramatic, but I think the entire building is infested with cockroaches. When the time comes to move out of this apartment, I am concerned about the potential risk of bringing roaches to my new home. In conclusion, I did not move into this unit bringing roaches with me, and I do not want to move out with roaches. I hope that this review will help to resolve this disgusting issue.
Always trash throughout the apartments. Cigarette butts off the back staircase in the grass have been there the whole time I’ve lived here (about 4 months). There’s 2 huge chuckholes around the storm drain at the entrance that you can BARELY swerve around. Patch is $7 a bag btw. Shows how much they actually care about the community. Can’t spend $15 on patching craters in the road. Walking around I saw a staircase roped off with caution tape. Last month a car port collapsed and honestly there’s a few that are leaning. They obviously don’t care about anything but collecting your rent money. Steer clear of this place if possible.
INFESTED WITH MICE TRASH CANS OVERFLOWING, WORK ORDERS TAKE MONTHS TO COMPLETE HIGH TURN OVER RATE, UNEXPLAINED CHARGES #NO STARS
******Please dont waste your money moving in here. Read the reviews before you move in anywhere!!!!!********If i could give this place less than a star i would. This is the WORST first apartment experience. First of all its not safe. No matter what anyone says, I am not comfortable having my family over.Someone got shot in the parking lot right outside my window, then someone got beat in the head with a baseball bat. I couldnt leave for work because my car was blocked in by the crime scene. Second, its ghetto. Music blasting constantly, people screaming almost 24/7. The walls are so thin I can hear my neighbors using the restroom, huge privacy problem. Third problem is the apartments are dirty. When I moved in my carpet was worn down, stains everywhere. There are spots where its worn down to the plastic mesh part of the carpet. AND there is mold growing in the closet and up the walls. Also my sink has been broken since I moved in and was assured it would be fixed along with my patio door lock upon moving in, NEVER HAPPENED. The lock is still sitting in the box where the maintenance guy put it before we moved in. Just disgusting. Its over priced for such a crappy place to live. Do not believe the smiling faces at the front desk, theyre fake. All of them are fake. They just want you to sign a lease.
Its absolutely peaceful here. Very relaxing atmosphere. You cant put a price on peace.
I saw a 3 bedroom unit and I have to say it was big, however, the chic seemed like she could care less if I move in or not. Maybe it was a bad day, but I took my business elsewhere, besides, they’re a little too expensive for me.
With my experience being a resident for 3months now, I would have given it a 5star if not for the untimely maintainability, Gate thats always broke and patio doors and windows need upgrade but not bad at all. Its a nice apartment...But if you look for perfection you should go buy yourself a house. #JustSaying
I have lived here 7 months and the gate has not worked one time. I moved here to live in a Secure and safe gated community, which is not what happen.. the people under me sell drugs the door is constantly open and slamming, the gate does not work, it took maintenance 6months to handle a couple of work orders that I had!! So my complete experience with this community has been horrible! I have talk with the office on several occasion.. but their answer is the gate will be fixed in a month and so on and so on, we will send them a violation, things just don’t get handle around here!! I still live here because my lease is not up ! But I’m sure when it’s up, I will be moving to a gated community. Gated gated gated
Before deciding to apply to live in Center Point I did not give myself the opportunity to read all the bad experiences that I have found here in this forum. After starting the application process it was one disappointment after another. In short, we were discriminated against, after the application had already been approved objected reasons that even contradict the rules. One of the options that they gave me was that if one of the applicants did not have the required documentation, that person could be excluded as an applicant and the process continued on a regular basis. before the supposed denial of the application, I received several emails where I was accredited as a resident of Center Point, however it took 4 days to respond, it was positive. They even showed me on the computer screen that the system appeared approved. They told me to come back the next day to finish the details and move in date. The next day with his face so washed I was told that it had not been approved by the documentation. I wanted to opt for the option to exclude that person as an applicant but I had to start the application processing once again, pay again and also that the applicant who was not approved could not live in the apt or as an occupant. They really did me a favor and I got a better place to live with better care and without danger of being robbed or treated badly or discriminating.Im still be on their web site as resident!!!
I love it here ... front office associates are great maintenance are superb & my neighbors are fantastic I give this place thousand star, if you don’t like it hit the highway....
Signed a short 6 month lease to get me through the rest of college. Pleasant staff experience. Units are a little dated but completely functional for my roommate and I. We were fortunate enough to have completely new floors and washer dryer. What I will say was not pleasant about my experience is that they have taken my security deposit over 2 “marks” on the floor AND asking me for more. I double and triple checked and had a non-resident friend look for me before I left the final time and there were not marks. Disappointed to say the least. I feel it’s a scam that the apartment complex sets up the move out inspection to be AFTER YOU ARE LONG GONE.
I lived here for 2 years and it was terrible. I had a rodent in my apartment once that came in through the dryer vent. I called the office about it and they said they were under staffed and could not send anyone over unless it was an emergency. They told me the rodent would have to be there until the next day when they had more people working. When I moved in they gave me a key card for the gate. I tried to use it and it did not work. I brought it to them so they could fix the card. They looked at the card and said it was not theirs. They proceeded with telling me if I want another one it would be $35.I had a leak behind my toilet that that I contacted the office about. They told me all maintenance issues needed to be sent through the new app that we paid our rent through. When I put it on the app, instead of then fixing the issue they closed it out. I had the leak for several weeks before someone came and they still did not resolve the issue. More weeks went by until they came back and saw it needed a piece replaced. These are a few stories of many that I have of this complex. They are over priced to have such a terrible leasing staff and bad service. The best day I had on the complex grounds was the day I moved out!
The workers are friendly and nice. The apartments itself needs to be updated for the cost of the rent, once they do that it will be worth living here.
I like living here. Maintenance guys are the best! Greg and Eric are very helpful and friendly. Great location, close to where I work. Office staff is friendly
I don’t know why I can’t reply or post a picture. Yes you emptied the dog station but there’s no trash bag or dog bags to use. Someone LITERALLY emptied it and didn’t put another trash bag in. Or dog poop bags. Is this a joke?
Decent apartment but terrible service. Two shootings in the parking lot, stolen packages, and the security gates, in this gated community, have not worked for the entire year I lived here. I never complained and now that my lease is finally up they are holding some fine print 60 day notice over my head and charging additional fees. Unreal. Stay away all.
Do not come here. They will not fulfill their obligations, and they will not put any effort into helping customers. The dwelling itself is fine, but the staff/company leaves much to be desired.
The amount of times maintenance needs to come in to do work inside my apartment is unlike anything Ive ever experienced at another apartment complex ever. I have lived here since November. Workers have had to come in to my apartment 7+ times (and thats probably being generous) in those 6 months. In fact, I just got a notice stating they have upgrades to install on Monday. That will make three times in roughly two weeks. I am a night shift nurse. Which means I sleep during the day. Getting woken up in the middle of my sleep three times in two weeks is absolutely unacceptable. Especially when I have called them and explained my situation and asked if they could come either first or last and the office workers say they will pass that request on, yet they still come in the middle of the day. I do not appreciate getting woken up in the middle of my night. Once every few months would be one thing, but this is unbelievable. Also, the fact that they call themselves a gated community is laughable. Gated during the nighttime only is the most pointless thing I have ever heard of to begin with, but then to add on to that fact that the gates are broken 75% of the time makes it even more absurd. Again, for the second time in the 6 months Ive been here, the entrance closest to my apartment doesnt even work to use the card to open. So I have to go in a further entrance and drive all throughout the complex everytime I come home late now. This place is a joke and I will never recommend it to anyone.
I didnt mind picking up the flyers that were blown everywhere this morning. Took less than 2 minutes. Im sure the trash in front of the dumpster wouldnt take that long either. Dont waste your money coming here I regret it. Winter hurry up and leave so I can. What is the purpose of the gate to look the part?
I wish I could give it zero stars. Horrible maintenance service! I had to call over 20 times for the issue to be resolved and IT STILL IS NOT RESOLVED. I’m excited that my lease is up at the end of this month. Absolutely ridiculous. I’ve been without air conditioning for 3 weeks & now we’re in the middle of a heat wave. Also, maintenance saw my request but DID NOT COME OUT!!!! Would not recommend unless you want your house 85 degrees which is hotter than it is outside.
My experience has been great thus far I’m looking forward to the summer months.
This process was very easy in the pandemic.
Maintenance is amazing here! My fridge broke and they replaced it within hours with a brand new fridge. There were some sags in the floor, they are literally going in and raising the beams from underneath to fix my floors. Just outstanding customer service from Maleah, Haley and Fortuna!
Lived here for a couple of months and have really enjoyed it, until recently. They changed the format of their website and now we have had payment problems. It has costed us over $100 in late fees this past month, looks like it may do the same thing this month. I went to management to tell them about the problem, but they basically just told me tough $h**. Not sure what to do now....
My oven broken on Thanksgiving, i was very upset and had to wait 3days for it to be fixed. The maintenance man that came to fix it was very nice and had it fixed in 10mins
Nice layout. Love having a garage attached to my apt. They are a bit outdated though. For the price we pay they need to be remodeled.
Thanks for all you do. Stay SAFE!!!
CPA to me is like staying at a resort with nice amenities, spacious rooms, great lake views, nice pool, shopping and restaurants in walking distance....great place to raise your family with awesome schools for the little kids as well as day care, again all in walking distance..... 😊
Very unpleasant and unprofessional, theyll will lie to you so they can over charge you. Plus the gated community is very unsafe this location needs new staff and theres a white girl there who think she better than you if your not white.... Dont move here!!!!!!
Things that needed repair never got attention, gates were always broken. The clientele that began moving in were less than desirable.... Vehicles broken into, cops arresting people with drugs and guns outside my apartment at midnight. I guess its great if your upgrading your street gang! If you want safe, secure, and quiet; your on the wrong track....
3/05/2019:I regret my decision to lease here. My unit was never cleaned nor repaired from previous occupant. I have entered several maintenance request for repairs that should have been completed prior to leasing the unit to myself. Lazy Leasing agent Haley never gave me an initial walk through due to her medical condition/monthly menstruation. Office manager calls after hours trying to cover inadequacies and avoid my valid complaints in regards to out dated appliances and other unit repair needs. They do not have a knowledgeable maintenance staff at all. Every repair must be schedule and outsourced to a professional. This staff refuses to accept responsibility and ownership of mistakes and unsatisfactory units, property & repairs. They continue to give excuses for each other on why the unit is unsatisfactory. They become rude, accusatory and argumentative, rather than accept ownership and fix the problems that were never addressed. I have kept documentation of all interaction because the staff has now resulted to harassing me. I believe this is a tactic of theirs in response to me submitting a BBB complaint. The manager visited my home in response to the many complaints to attempt to address the inadequacies in the unit. During this visit she expressed to my home was beautiful and well kept via decor. She came to identified the repairs they neglected upon me occupying the unit. I showed her the unit prior to move in via my iPhone. I documented the unit prior to occupying the space. Recording includes date and time, along with detailed photos of the unit being dirty, dusty, out dated appliances, holes in the wall that had been repaired with no painting. Water stains in the ceiling form water damage in the above unit. No heat working, hole in the door where a deadbolt lock should have been inserted. No new paint in any rooms in the unit, carpet not properly installed, broken closet doors in both bedrooms, no working smoke detectors, dusty worn ceiling fan, no proper working stove and fixtures, oven door hinges, blinds that have been taped and hand cut with scissors hanging from the windows, I have mentioned mold or something black around window frames on inside and outside of unit. I have several more issues to list, yet the manager has now resulted to accusing me of holes in the walls and ceilings that she NEVER WITNESSES WHEN IN THE UNIT. This has been the worst property I have ever encountered. Take my advice and just keep looking!IN RESPONSE: Today is 1/28/19 @ 4:20pm I contacted the office and Haley lied and said someone would be over. An hour later and 11 calls later no one has appeared. I walked in the office at 3:03pm. Office close at 5pm and Haley says she was not answering the phone b/c she was on lunch. She sat there refusing my calls watching her caller ID then when I called from my office out of town phone she answers....Why reply my email with lies to paint a picture you dont accurately display! Malia the manager then gets on the phone to say they can pull the part needed for my furnace from another unit. How long did it take for someone to come up with this genius idea that has yet to be complete. Everytime I call Im questioned about my home temp yet my home is being heated by the oven with a 4yr old. I pay my rent on time a total of 1200 plus and I cant get satisfactory heat but I can get a playful office staff and automated lies as an reply....
Dont live here. After showing up unannounced. Maintenance let my cat out on purpose when coming out to a service call. They admitted it after telling me I left my trash bag outside my unit for to long. They are not pet friendly. Dont let them lie to you. They also charged me a 30 dollar fee for leaving food out for the kitten.
Horrible office staff and maintenance. Overpriced had mold and hole in kitchen floor was moved to another unit that had mice ! Will be moving when lease is up!
Worst experience of moving into a new apartment. I moved from New York to Indianapolis into my first apartment or what I thought would be on 4/28 unfortunately there was a roaches infestation and soaking wet carpets in the apartment when I moved in. I called the agent and she told me I wouldnt be able to get someone to assist aka the pest control until May 4th. Im not sure why she would expect me to live in an apartment infested! Then wen I came to the leasing office to get some kind of help, The leasing manager Amy was horrible. She did not seem sympathetic at all and she acted as if she did not believe me there were roaches in there. Then she goes to the apartment to inspect after I came to the office and told me she was in there the night before and it was not like that!!!! What does she mean it was not like that. She then proceeds to offer me what they had available which was an apartment 350 more which I refused. So now on to June 1st where I am still disgusted by this complex since I have been waiting for my refund of the deposit and application fee! I was told by their regional it would be shipped next day air to my managers apartment last week Tuesday..... still no check.... when I call I get no answer. So yes do not move to Center Point Apartments. They are so unprofessional in the leasing office. You will have a horrible experience. Good luck
This place put me on debt collection for something I didnt even do. The inspector did not write it down when I first moved in and there for I got charged $620.05. The service here is trash and is in one of the worst parts of Indy. I highly recommend that no one live here. Also there where mice in my apartment.
I see sooooo many negative reviews!!! I would not move in based on the reviews. I have been living here for almost 3 months. So far its not bad at all! I had a few issues and reported it to maintenance online and they fixed everything fast. It is not that updated for how much they charge for rent. Rent has to be paid online and it is not convent to me bc it takes up to 4 days for the money to come out of my account. Other than that I have been fortunate to not have any issues with neighbors, maintenance, or anything else!
Ive been over here for almost 2 years and its a pretty normal apartment experience. I believe the over-priced rates that every one is speaking about is there to weed out some of the 38th st riff-raff. The staff has ALWAYS been helpful to me and treat my concerns seriously. Yeah, the gate is always broken and thats annoying but that is the only issue Ive experienced since being here.
That’s very nice place to live
Pros are the overall apartment layout and storage is adequate and maintenance response is fairly quick. I know that because I have only lived here 4 months and have placed an average of 2 maintenance requests a month, including an ant infestation in a wall outlet, leaking dishwasher, leaking air conditioner, and mold in outdoor storage closet. The unit has always had a dank, musty smell about it because there is no air filtering from the HVAC unit and the dust buildup is tremendous. Although adjacent apartment noise does not seem to be an issue, I hear just about every move that is made from the person above me. Supposedly gated community, but security gates NEVER work. The community was also alerted of another resident being fatally injured about a month ago, reminding us to keep our doors locked and such. Needless to say, I do not feel safe. I had planned to stay here for a few years when I moved in, but will not be renewing my lease when the year is up.
Positives:Admin. Staff: The staff was helpful and upfront with my questions upon move-in. They care about the well-bring of the tenants and want them to have an enjoyable living experience.Location: There are ample grocery stores, pharmacies, and restaurants closeby. Very easy to get on 465. Also, CP is within walking distance to a bike & running trail that goes all the way to Eagle Creek Park.Amenities: I appreciate the crown molding, 9-foot ceilings, fairly new appliances and cabinetry in my apartment. There is also plenty of closet space and the countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms are spacious.NegativesNoise: Prospective residents should be aware of road noise due to the close proximity to 465. I would also recommend staying away from the entry gates and the pool, as those can be noisy as well. The walls and floors are thin; it is very often when neighbors are heard.Maintenance: Although maintenance requests are generally responded to quickly, it seems they are sometimes more focused on responding to the request than actually fixing the problem.Grounds: General attention to the grounds could be improved; such as overflowing trash around the dumpsters, debris in breezeways, and better snow removal.Pricing: Pricing is very subjective and is influenced by supply and demand, the time of the year, and other factors, such as a lake or wooded view, which do not add value to the unit. The rent rates also typically increase every year. This complex is among the most expensive in the area, and you do not always get what you pay for.
The Apartments really arent that bad. I been out here since december yes i do think there over priced . And appliances should be upgraded. But Thank God i Have A Roof over my head ! Im Thankful for Center Point Apartments .
The on call maintenance here sucks. They are terrible. On 2 seperate instances, in 2 different seasons, I have had issues with the on call maintenance. The 1st time, it was the middle of winter and my heat stopped working, the guy had an attitude about coming out and once he got there he said he couldnt fix it and left. The next day a different guy came and fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes. 2nd time, it was summer time. Over 80 degrees outside and the maintenance guy told me he couldnt come out if it wasnt 80 or hotter outside (which it was). I advised him it was over 80 and he proceeded to debate about the outside temperature. Did I mention it was 89 degrees in my apartment. Whats the point of on call maintenance if they act like they cant be bothered to do their job.
One of the worst apartments I have ever had to live in. Two bedrooms, to full bathrooms, dishwasher, dryer. All of the hot water relies on a 38 gallon hot water heater!!! Theres been a ring of water around the toilet from it leaking and the staff has known about the issue for a month, still no one has come out to fix it. Guess they want a rotted and moldy floor. The back gate is broken more often than not. I wanted to use one of their more redeeming qualities, the swimming pool, but I got ran out by a staff member who seems to have a stick up her butt. Dont leave the gate open and expect the resident to be able to read your mind. Its reaching the end of May and you still dont have your pool in operation? Give me a break.
This place is a waste of money and the service is trash! As soon as my lease is up Im out of here. The staff here has no service for the residents and anytime you put a call in good luck on hearing back from them. I dont advice anyone to move in here! You move you pay you lose!
If I could give less than one star I would. These people are thieves. They ask for a 100 holding fee that is only refundable before 24 hours and then ignore any messages you send them for a refund until after that times passes to make sure they do not have to refund you. We payed 180 to these crooks and they do not even have the decency to reply to our message. They are the worst! DO NOT APPLY HERE!!!
The following email was sent to office management as well as Fairfield Residential Corporate office in regards to my concerns surrounding Move Out and Final Expenses. I would strongly encourage folks looking for apartments NOT to lease from Center Point Apartments or a Fairfield Residential Properties. Do not get wrapped up in their foolery, save yourself from a major headaches and hidden fees.EMAIL:I still dont understand how we owed something we were never billed for or given the opportunity to pay. We paid for January in March along with our other final expenses. Also, when I told your office I was going to pay my portion of the (17 days) liquidation fees you took it out of the deposit anyway, and did not post it to the account like I was told would happen. The liquidation fees were billed to us as a penalty, because you couldnt post the unit to the market, yet you still managed to sell it within the 43 days you all had, another $497 I will never see again. So the company lost no money on that unit and just took our money. I do not submit payments for anything by word of mouth, I need an invoice/bill or needed to see these charges via the online portal with a description of the fee(s), neither happened.Like I said previously this was extremely shady, and the reason your property has such low ratings and poor reviews, on top of the drug activity, the rude maintenance staff, and the fact that nobody is getting their monies worth. I guess I am upset because I expected to get my $350 out of the $700 deposit I put in on this deposit but will not be seeing that which is very disappointing. I am glad I didnt pay the $250 on the liquidation fees, I still wouldnt of seen my $350 come back to me once that unforeseen water bill hit. Then I get a bill two days ago for $1,010.00 for April Rent, why am I seeing this I hope and pray youre not expecting a payment for that?Communication is a wonderful thing when its used properly, you guys need to work on that and maybe keep a consistent staff. Center Point was my third apartment home but my first luxury apartment, and Ive had the WORST experience with you all. In the past Ive always paid an increased or prorated water trash and sewage for my last month and got my full deposit back. I feel like Ive thrown my money away this last year paying luxury prices for outdated and poorly maintained apartments. But I guess you all have to make your money one way or another. Never again will I sign a lease at a Fairfield Residential community. I have copied your corporate team on this email in hopes that they may be able to give you all some sort of advisement and or direction on improving/changing this process for future residence. Thank you for your email, have a great day!
I have lived here for a few months. One of the reasons I moved in was because of the amenities they provide...washer and dryer. I didnt want to ever have to go to another laundromat. Well my dryer has broken YHREE TIMES IN THE LAST MONTH! . they come in and twist the knob and the next week its broken again. I went to the office today and explained that I have to spend money to dry clothes every time this happens even though Im paying for a washer and dryer in my unit. I was informed that the washer and dryer werent included in my rent and they would see what they could do about it breaking all of the time...ummmm...how about fixing it right or replacing it? I definitely wont be renewing my lease, because, yes this is a deal breaker for me. After living in a house and downsizing because my kids left, there are certain things that I looked for in an apartment and a washer and dryer was definetly one of them
I spent 3 years there, so i will give you good ideas about it, maintenance never come on time, you need to wait some times weeks before they can fix broken door handle of change the the light. if your AC is not working then wait a couple of days before you get it fixed. they are nice till you need thier help and then they will become rude. then never answer phone calls or return an email. some time they would charge you before fixing the water dripping. UNBELIEVABLE. stay away and dont think about it.
WAY OVER PRICED. Manager seems nice but doesnt really care.
Friendly staff. Family friendly
Worst and I do mean WORST apartments Ive EVER lived in. Currently Im a resident and thankfully Ive almost survived my year lease in these apartments. When I first moved in, I guess I should have taken it as a sign as a bad decision when my apartment wasnt even properly prepared prior to my arrival AFTER having received confirmation a week in advance that everything was good for my arrival. When I did my walk thru, there were holes left in the wall from the previous owner, along with clogged drains, broken bedroom window, balcony door that did not lock, stained tub, stripped paint... need I continue. I immediately had to put in a work order for things that should have been fixed BEFORE I moved in. The only thing that kept me from pushing my move in date back was the fact that Id already reserved my uhaul and furniture drop off... To think it wouldve gotten better along the lines... I was wrong... I dealt with a ceiling leak for 3 months before they were finally able to come up with a solution AFTER several people complained about the same issue. Why am I paying rent of $730 plus for a one bedroom receiving Motel service. I raised attention to the staff in regards to several issues throughout my stay in these apartments. From my neighbor and his company constantly trashing the area, constant arguments and altercations between him and his guests, and the police constantly being called on them by everyone in the complex. The way the staff handles situations in the community is less thsn poor. I cant tell you how many times Ive expressed my concerns and received a shrugged shoulder followed by unfortunately theres nothing we can do. I have a few weeks left in my lease and what influenced my decision to write a review was an incident that occured recently when my boyfriends car was hit by someone who just recently moved in the complex and had an altercation with what I presume was his girlfriend. In the midst of the altercation, along with the slashing of the mans tires, busted out windows, paint damage, at some point his car hit my boyfriends trying to leave. When I brought the issue up with the office, the only response was, Im sorry but theres nothing we can really do, youll have to call the police and just file a report. Mind you, the guys car was still there parked next to his on 4 flats so the police were able to file a report, and I understand theres confidentiality between the office and their tenants but in incidents like this, I feel they handled the situation poorly. If I could id post an entire timeline of every picture Ive taken as far as moving in, damages to my property due to leaks and other tenants, all the work orders Ive had to put in throughout my stay, i guarantee itd steer you in another direction for a home but since I cant hopefully this review does. Dont move here, long story short.
They need to update appliences and fixtures. Pool area and grounds are kept clean
Although sometimes they are slow in fixing. But it is still a great apartment to live in.
Lets just say that once you move out, regardless of the how small or big the damage is (even if it is due to regular use) you will be charged at least 3 times the price that it actually costs. Do not rent an apartment here unless you have at least $1000 in your pocket to throw away when you move out. The deposit of $100 is just a trick to get you to sign a lease with them.
So out dated which made me pass up on applying. Also the ratings are not good.✌
Lets start by saying that when you make the contract they are so friendly and apparently the best, once you live there you will start getting over charged than those calculated for them, when you called them for maintenance the service is slow to respond ..and thats not the worst thing, once you move out the charges are incredibly unreasonable, if you leave a nail in the wall they will charge you 15 dll just to removed it, do not want to know if your carpet has any stain or leave the stove a little dirty, this company is ridiculous, I do not know anyone saying they have a good experience living there, If you are one of the residents be sure to at least have $500 extras for fees ..... the worst apartments I have ever lived,
Great staff and outstanding location!
It was very good
If I could give a zero I would, this place lied and took money from my husband and I, and when confronted wanted to hide behind their (poor and improper) terminologyI highly suggest looking elsewhere because they’re liars and not worth the hassle!!!
Prompt response
I love everything about these apartments
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. APARTMENTS ARE VERY POORLY MANAGED AND THE MANAGER IS RUDE. HORRIBLE SERVICE..
