The management does not work with you at all maintenance is slow and seem like they don’t care at all when you need something fixed. My neighbor had someone try to break into their apartment and they wouldn’t fix the door they have ridiculous parking rules I’ve never heard of and will tow you in 2 days no matter what even if you have a reason to why you are parking that way they have no sympathy or compassion for their residents. They get 2 stars because the actual apartments are nice but hate the living experience and I have been here for a year and a half only renew my lease because of the housing market right now is insanely overpriced. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

THIS PLACE BECAME MY HOME! I lived here for 8 years and absolutely loved it. The staff is amazing! Always willing to help and great communication. The amenities include a gym, indoor/outdoor pool, gift wrapping station and a car wash onsite! The apartments are well kept and are located near all of your needs like the mall, restaurants, movies, shopping and the highway. My only tip is to purchase the carport... it’s worth the money. I would definitely recommend living here!

I lived here for 6 months. The pool was nice. The lawns were well kept.I was not able to be present for my move out inspection. Somehow they managed to take away almost my entire deposit. I never wore shoes in the apartment, never smoked in the apartment, I had no dogs/pets and I meticulously kept the apartment clean during my entire 6 month lease. I also never had company over. I work an office job and I never get dirty. I dont recall using the oven at all, yet I did clean out a little bit of residue that was there when I moved in. The apartment was cleaner when I moved out than it was when I moved in, yet somehow I was taken for $300 in charges. Other than that this place is ok, if you can deal with the rude staff.

The staff in the office at Cornerstone Apts are the best! We moved from Scranton, PA to Independence, MO during the Covid Pandemic and they went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed to move in and we could not have done it without them. They were cordial, had a solution to every problem we threw at them, and were so knowledgeable. What a relief it was to know they had our back during a stressful time. I would like to give a special shout-out to Shelby H, but everyone we worked with was amazing! Thank you all!

This was my first apartment but now that I moved out and live in a different apartment complex, I realize how much I don’t like this one. The whole entire time I lived there (for 9 months) the pool was closed, it was maybe open for a month during January, when it was promised to be open year round. The leasing staff was rude to me and my roommate. Parking is terrible. All my appliances were out dated. This all made the apartment extremely over priced. My neighbor below me was always throwing parties and smoking weed, so my apartment would always smell like weed. & my whole building got a complaint for noise & the smell of weed (which I thought was really unfair because obviously not everyone in the building was partying and smoking weed) Almost every time I would email them a question or concern, I would never get a response. The yard working company they had was unprofessional & would hit on me when I walked to work.

This is an apartment complex, right?? You can hear your neighbors at times, right?? I moved in around the end of January with my two dogs 2nd floor. Im not loud neither are my dogs but the people below me are constantly calling the office or police on me because they can hear us walking around between 10p and 7am. They dont hear the TV, talking they hear WALKING!! I cant help that the floors creak when there is movement. I like living here but tired of walking on egg shells because of this. Ive spoken to them told them nothing is intentional. If I drop something after 10pm they report it to the office and come tell me to be quiet!! I pay my rent just like they do. I dont go to bed at 10 pm if I need to do laundry after 10 I should be able to. If I want company after 10 I should be able too. Its harassment as far as Im concerned, Ive asked to be moved and they wont move me. Oh and I have mutts they are not full blooded anything so on my app I put mutts and they signed off on it. Four months later they are saying since the vet paper work says rott/Mix that I cant have my dog here and have to move. I told the vet thats what he was because when he was a pup he had some markings like a rott!! Today I found out that he has no rott in him at all!! So I have emailed the office and waiting on a response. To me when you move to an apt complex you will hear noise!! If you dont like it, move !!! I also hate 10-7 quiet hrs stupid!

This is a really nice apartment complex. The staff is very nice and will help you with anything you ask. They also have a short term lease, which is convenient. The amenities are wonderful as well. As everyone else said though, parking does suck, but its not a bad area. Ive had NO problems from any of my neighbors, and my car has never been broken into.

Lived here for 2 years prior to purchasing a home. I miss the year-round pool and carwash the most. The staff was friendly and maintenance was good. If I ever needed to move back to an apartment, I wouldnt hesitate. I dont usually write reviews unless I feel that I had an exceptional experience ...and I did while living here. My neighbors were amazing and location was good. Very happy to have lived here

We just moved here from several states away. The leasing staff is very helpful and accommodating. There is a business center, which is great because I still cant find my printer cord. Also there is a lovely indoor pool and hot tub. There is a fitness center, but I dont workout. It is apartment living. I can often hear the person above us. We now sleep with a sounds machine so they do not wake us. Parking is good where we are at. The apartment is very nice, great layout. We are enjoying it so far it is just an adjustment. You will def. hear people, pets, and kids here. But overall it is a really nice place to live and the location is great.

We are moving in a week and we will miss it here. Maintenance was always quick, the units are nice as as presented when you move in. Staff is helpful and receptive. Property is kept clean and nice. Quiet residence. Semi-professional staff. Theyll make up any charge they can to get your money, also rent rates sky rocket once your lease is up. When you move out, make sure everything is spotless or youll get charged $25 for $3 drip pans, or a supposed pet odor even though I professionally cleaned the carpets prior to moving out. Not enough parking options.

I am truly shocked while reading some of these reviews. My experience at Cornerstone has been amazing so far. I moved in at the end of March and have loved every minute of this apartment. Upon moving in the paint job wasnt up to my standard but Tiara went above and beyond to fix it before I moved in. The girls in the office are truly wonderful and have been so helpful. I had an emergency leak underneath my kitchen sink. The maintenance guy called me within the hour and walked me through what to do for the night until they could get a new part in. The next day I had a brand new garbage disposal. The maintenance guys are super sweet and so friendly. I think 48 hours is a pretty good turn around time to fix something. The amenities are pretty amazing. Pool is open all year round, hot tub, car wash, gift wrapping station and bicycles to take on the trail + the staff and roomy apartments. I love it here! As far as noise and everything else... its an apartment complex. Youre going to hear things and if thats not something youre willing to deal with, rent a house. Lol

Ive been here for 2 years and I never had any problems with break ins. Theres 3 locks on the door, one of them is only unlock-able from the inside, so how someone had a break in while they were in the apartment is to me, unfathomable. It is a very nice area with walking distance to all sorts of things, it also is right next to an excellent bike trail. The amenities are at your disposal 24/7, except for the pool and movie rental. I highly recommend this place, it is affordable and very clean.

We lived here for about a year and a half and really liked it. The apartments are very nice and spacious - definitely worth the price we paid. There grounds are well maintained and the amenities are great. The few times I needed maintenance, they always came in a timely manner and were friendly and efficient. There is one woman who works in the office who can be rude sometimes, there is a situation with parking at some of the apartments (not sure how they figured 20ish parking spaces for over 50 apartments in one section), and there were a few vehicle break ins, but overall I never felt unsafe or really dissatisfied with my time at Cornerstone.

Their units are beautiful and well designed. However, the parking here is terrible. It cost $30 extra a month to use a carport which is ridiculous seeing how you already pay rent to stay here. Good luck finding a decent parking spot close to your building. Especially if you don’t get home until after 6pm. This is very inconvenient if you have groceries and/or children.

My experience at Cornerstone these past few months have not been good. I have called the office and complained NUMEROUS times about the noise upstairs and management has yet to do anything about it! Its a shame when you cant even sleep because the people upstairs are running through their apartment, jumping, etc. I work 10 hour shifts, five days a week. Sometimes 6 days a week. Im also a part time student. I expect to come home and be able to have peace and quiet when Im trying to sleep. But unfortunately I cant do that here and thats why I have given Cornerstone a 1 star rating.

DO NOT move here!!! The manager Mary is extremely rude! In addition, they take forever to fix anything, and the parking is ridiculous. Prior to my move out, I asked Mary if I should clean the carpets and she said dont worry about it were going to replace the carpet. After my move out a few weeks later I get a statement indicating that they are charging me almost 300.00 for carpet stains, I could have had their guy clean it as he did several months back for 50.00 Oh! I forgot to mention that a few weeks after moving in, quarter size spots started to show through the carpet..... About 30 of them. And get this, it took them a month to get their carpet guy out there to clean it. When the carpet guy shows up he told me that the carpet shouldve been replaced prior to me moving in, he indicated that it looked like mold. You may also want to keep in mind that the manager told me that a hotel will be built on the North side of the complex this spring. Imagine the noise and traffic that will be on your front door step!!!This place is poorly managed, unprofessional, and very rude!!!! Do yourself a favor, choose another complex!

TERRIBLE COMPANY! Do not move into this complex, while renewing they changed our lease dates, not even the worst parts. Staff is terrible completely unprofessional and ghetto. Now on to the worst part, while living in our unit it was flooded by the above unit due to the toilet, and now that we are finally free of the place they are trying to charge us for the carpet that they say was ruined obviously due to their flooding. Maintenance was attentive understanding and quick to respond, but their staff terrible and you will have to higher a lawyer to resolve your issues.

Very nice apartments and even better set up. Space is amazing, amenities cant be beat. Love the walkin closets and master bathrooms. Parking looks like its gonna be really good. Havent even moved in and i love this place. My only complaint on them would be no room dimensions on the site. If they added that, it would be perfect. I know seeing room dimensions would be very useful for people wanting to move in. Knowing my furniture can fit is very important. Other than that keep upthe good work.HUGE Shoutout to the office gals helping me go from almost getting shot at my current apartment complex to coming up to something incredible. Where to start,,, In the beginning,, it was nice because we were getting into the contract. the staff was friendly and all and everything went to bad. didnt realized that the contract was slavery to pay monthly rent.First the apartment structure is very common, so nothing I complain about but the kitchen area is little small but thats all. other spaces are spacious and storage area is pretty handy to keep all the junk stuff in. other facilities like pool and stuff are handy but the rent is little expensive and they increase the rent every time you renew your contract. So if you have two 6 month contract, you will ended up paying more than who got 1 year contract.Maintenance is bad.. You can submit your request but they actually dont come around for days. We had to contact them or went down to the office multiple times to get a person to come and see. We didnt had many issues but respond time is pretty bad. I understand that it is a very large complex then they should have adequate number of people to work on the maintenance. So the hell emerged when we decided to move. It is completely different experience when we moved out comparing to when we moved in. So When we moved in and did the walk through, we noticed some dirty spots but overall it was acceptable to live in. The carpet was actually very dirty but it was fine and we did some cleaning before we move in. But when we moved out, they sent us a paper with the ridiculous charges in case of things are dirty. We were ended up being charged for carpet, oven fridge, microwave and shower. We didnt clean the oven and drip pan on the stove but other items.. When the manager were going through the items, and even though we cleaned, she said hey,,there are some spots.. Well.. so they charge you small few spots on the appliances and some water stains on the shower glass for range from 20 to 25 dollars. With 150 dollar deposit, it exhaust really fast. Also they charged us 25 dollars for the carpet. I talked to the manager and she said that the pretreat was for when the carpet company has to do extra work other than carpet cleaning itself. We dont have a kid nor animal in the apartment also we didnt even wore shoes inside of the apartment and we did take care of the carpet very carefully. Even we get charge for the pretreatment for the carpet, it means every single people who move out WILL pay this charge. Even though they insist that the charge is optional and only charge when the carpet company charge them but based on how we use, I strongly believe that everyone who lived there will (must) be charged for that pretreatment for the carpet. One last thing, while I was talking to the manager, I was get upset and I was keep asking what the pretreatment is and she got upset I believe. The overall experience on talking to the manager wasnt pleasant at all.In conclusion, the experience in living in the apartment was good but the things that they do when the resident move out isnt as good as when we moved in. Also the rent was outrageously expensive with annual increase regardless of the condition of the economy. They are very slow on maintenance request and their move out experience was very very poor and upsetting. So I was happy when we moved in and when we moved out the overall experience was completely ruined.Thank you Cornerstone apartment

Parking is horrible. After after being there one year the rent increases. When moving out they put bogus miscellaneous charges. Over $300 for a carpet cleaning at move out with (no animals) you can choose at your renewal for $0. Absolutely make sure you do a walk-through when you move out. They will show you pictures of other peoples Apartments as an example of why they charged you $20 to clean the microwave $20 to clean the kitchen floor $20 to clean a toilet and so forth. (I was in the hospital so couldnt do my walkthrough) The entire time I was there a black sticky substance grew every 3 weeks after recaulking and spraying/bleaching in the showers and the toilets. They swore that it was not mold. I Loved that the pool was open all year round however they allowed smoking.

The only reason i am only giving 3 stars is because move out is awful. basically if you have pets (even sometimes if you dont, as ive seen from reviews), you WILL be replacing the carpet. they tell you not to get it professionally cleaned, and thats only so they can charge you for it. i left my apartment SPOTLESS. and now i owe $993.00 for a carpet replacement. did my dog pee a couple times? yes, dont get me wrong. but NOT anywhere near enough to replace the carpet and padding. i was training a puppy at my previous apartment and all i did was professionally clean it and it was perfectly fine. i think thats why cornerstone tells you not to get it professionally cleaned. they find any and every reason to charge you when you move out. besides move out... everything was great! maitnence was very attentive and so nice! i had no problem with the staff or management. i thought parking was fine because i had a car port. and when a car parked in my spot for two days in a row, i ended up calling and they sent a tow truck and it was gone within the hour. having the car wash is a life savor, let me tell you! :). LONG STORY SHORT, if you dont have a problem with paying outrageous fees at time of move out, this place is for you! because besides all the dramatic fees, this place was awesome! good luck.

I loved my apt here but being a younger female the parking is stupid!! There would be nights I had to walk a far distance to my place and there would be empty car port spots which were all taken when I moved in. good location and matinees dudes are super cool and are really on call, anytime I needed them they were there. Also very quick to help me with personal car things and just to see a big friendly smile as I was cruising thru!! The pool is awesome, it should be 24 hr though. All of my neighbors were residents for 5+ years, so that should tell you what kind of customer service they have there. I would still be there if the prices were not as high as it was for a one bedroom.

The parking situation is abysmal and is especially not safe for women. There are hardly any parking spots available, they expect you to work half a mile in the cold and dark. If you park any other place for even a minimal amount of time your vehicle is towed and costs $250 to get from the impound. I would not recommend living at these apartments.

Where do I start. My fiance, at the time, rented a one bedroom apartment. He put down a $300.00 non-refundable pet deposit. We got married and decided to move into a two bedroom. We kept asking to see our 2 bedroom and they kept putting us off, even though we had put down a $350.00 deposit on the apartment. So 2 whole days before he was supposed to be out of his apartment, they show us the 2 bedroom apartment. It had not been painted. Smokers had lived in it so there were smoke stains all over the walls. There were big yellow stains on all the tile. The kitchen microwave, stove and fridge were yellow and disgusting. The apartment was not worth the 945.00 a month. They basically told me we still had to be out of his apartment and it was what it was. Um no! So I call the property manager the next day and she gives me attitude and I tell her that the apartment was not up to our standards and we were not going to be out of his apartment when she wanted. She also figured out we did t sign off on the apartment so she had no choice but to address the issues. So she had it painted and replaced the tile and the microwave, but refused to upgrade anything else. So, we do our walk through on his apartment(which I spent 4 hours cleaning) and they want to charge us $400.00 for the carpet. We say okay, well we paid the $300.00 pet deposit plus $150.00 plus pet rent each month for the year, that should cover the carpet right? NOPE! They just keep the $300.00 and you never see it again. They make you believe it goes for pet damage but it doesnt. I am guessing it is their commission or bonus check. And it gets better. Within days of being in our new apartment, we get a letter on our door saying the vine from my plant is hanging over the balcony and we had 48 hours to remove it or be fined. Lol. Petty, but okay. Today it did not rain and someone threw water or coke and soaked our door mat. Petty! We were carrying stuff out of our apartment today and the door shut and was locked behind us. They refused to give us a spare key even though they have one and pretty sure that is the property managers job but okay. Petty! Do yourself a favor and do not move here! Not worth the petty, rude stupidity you will have to deal with. Plus, all the money you will just donate to them. If I could get out of my lease, I would do it in a heartbeat!!!!!
