I have lived here coming on a year in November. Moving in Krista is the bomb! She was sweet, kind, and very helpful. Kevin gave me an amazing tour of the property. Maintenance has completed all my request in a timely manner. They keep the streets clear and salted in the winter time. My building is fairly quiet! Parking sucks but that comes with living in apartments. My apartment was very clean when I moved in and has been very easy to maintain. Thank you to all the staff that work here your hard work does not go unnoticed! I plan to renew my lease!
I am not one to leave reviews. However, I have been living in The Mansion for over 3 years and have enjoyed my stay here. The office staff is always willing to help and have a welcoming environment. They also put community events together such as picnics, movie nights, giving out breakfast and coffee in the morning as you are leaving to work out in the main entrances to the apartment. The maintenance team is quick to response to any request including the emergencies that require attention after hours. The apartment complex area is always clean, grass always cut, the parking area is updated when needed. At night the parking lot is lighted well. Security circles the parking lot during the day and night. This creates a safe environment. The Mansion has two pools, a doggie park, a tennis court and not to mention the scenery. The monthly rent is great! I would highly recommend The Mansion to anyone.
This place will screw you out of money. We gave them 60 day notice we was moving out and they said they did not recieve it. Know we have some legal place calling and demanding payment. They say we owe the Mansion for back rent. And that there was damage in the apartment. There maintance guys screw the counter up putting in a new dishwasher. The office was informed and did nothing. We told them about a blind that was broke when we moved in and was told they knew about it. This place will screw you any chance they get.
Wow!! Hubby and I are SO HAPPY and BLESSED to be living here at The Mansion! We were blessed to get Krista as our leasing guru. From our first phone call to inquire about the apartment, through move in day and some ups/downs, she has been an Angel! We moved into the apartment we wanted, only to realize about 4 days later, we had made a huge mistake asking for an upstairs unit. My husbands bad hip and back just could not take the stairs and we let the manager Kevin and everyone know we NEEDED a ground floor apartment and ASAP. Within that same day we had our new place picked out and Molly, Krista and Tracie got things rolling for us. They helped us to get transferred to our new place in record time. Becky, our maintenance lady was here to make sure everything was in tip top shape. We cannot say enough how grateful we are to be here!! It is our perfect place!! We have great neighbors and beautiful grounds/ view, a cozy fireplace and we feel safe and sound here!! The Mansion is clean, quiet, friendly, beautiful and HOME SWEET HOME! We are looking forward to getting a dog later this year and enjoying the swimming pools and fitness center. God blessed us with an amazing place to live and we highly recommend The Mansion!
The staff was wonderful to work with and help us fill out all the online paper work. Krista went above and beyond to help us move in asap! She treated us like family and is so professional and caring. Listens and understands exactly what you need and is so accommodating and helpful. We just love her and so thankful for all her help. We are really excited and love our new beautiful apartment. This was a great move.
Just moved in and renting again after 35+ years, the entire experience was easy and understandable. They made the process smooth. Thank you.
Tracie Phillips the leasing manager was wonderful to work with!!! Made the whole process seem super easy. Looking forward to moving in!
Love the staff very friendly and helpful. Kevin And Tracy where very help full to get me and my family moved in within two weeks. Helped and answered any questions i had and emailed me back in a day or less. Would highly recommend to family and friends.
This was a very speedy reply to my service request. I was not expecting for my request for a pot hole to be repaired as quick as it was done. I appreciate the speedy reply. Awesome job to the crew that supplied their time and skills. I dont know how my reply went to the Mansion apt. This was meant for Timberlake apt.
Make sure they give you a move in checklist and make them aware of everything or they will charge you without hesitation. Make copies of all paperwork. Molly will get you for your money. They like to take your money for previous damage.
I love these apartments! My brother lives on the property. His apartment is very spacious and cozy. Perfect for single family living. They put together events like movie night and have hired a band in the past for their community. Along with an amazing event space we have had plenty of family gatherings at. They really show how much they care and appreciate all their residents.
I lived here about a year ago overall not a bad place to live. In my opinion it was not worth the asking price of 700 dollars a month which that number doesnt include water, trash fee, pest fee, sewage fee and Im probably forgetting other fees. I had a window that was off its tracks for months and nothing was done about it. I was without hot water for three days because they couldnt get a maintenance guy out on the Friday. My car also got rammed into while I was asleep and there are no cameras so I couldnt find out who it was. And the railing that was by the stairs was rusted out instead of replacing it they just put two metal brackets to hold it together. And the paint on my patio and front door was peeling off.
Tracie Smith is a fantastic help she has been more then helpful with any and all of our questions or concerns. She has made the moving process past and present so easy and simple and really made it a stress free environment while being very polite and very easy to work with.
I have a family member that live in one of there two bedroom apartment that is equipped with one full bath and a half bath. The apartment is beautiful and quiet spacious. The management and maintenance are very professional and friendly. The grounds are always kept clean. They have held many event for there residents and their families. If you’re looking for a beautiful apartment that is just minutes way from shopping and entertainment The Mansion’s Apartments are for you!!
Ive never had an apartment complex that was so attentive. Emails have prompt response, maintenance requests are fulfilled in a very timely manner, and the gounds are kept CLEAR in the winter, and well groomed in the warmer seasons. If I ever have a question, help is just a call away!
Kevin is great at responding to urgent matters and has always been polite. They are now upgrading apartments, I noticed on their facebook page and it looks great. You can tell they take pride in where the residents live. Ive lived in a few apartments and hes the best property manager that Ive seen. The staff is pretty awesome too!
Since moving into my apartment in May, I have been thoroughly by the staff. Considering a pandemic, theyve been extremely helpful and willing to help keep everyone safe. Kevin is such a wonderful, friendly, and genuine property manager. The other staff are the same way (I dont know their names so sorry if youre reading this). The maintenance staff does a wonderful job and in a timely fashion. It is usually within the next 24-48 hours an issue is fixed within my apartment. Even though some of the amenities are closed down, I have enjoyed living here.
Kevin puts up with me and maintenance is awesome. Its a good place to live.
Top tier management. Grounds are ALWAYS well kept, including the pool which is top notch. It is rare that theres ever an issue concerning maintenance here but when anything arises, its taken care of in a timely and professional manner. Two thumbs up! By far the most professional and organized property Ive ever been at!
Kevin is awesome! He is the best Leasing Agent I have worked with. He is super patient, conversational and reasonable! I didn’t end up moving there, nothing to do with the complex, just because it was too far for me and my roommates to work. But wanted to and would consider it again because of Kevin!! I have friends that live there and love it, so 5 stars from me.
The grounds are kept up beautifully. I have visited my son who lives there. Love their salt water pool . Also went to a movie night out on the lawn there. Family friendly and nice people.
I have lived here for several years and I love it. The staff in the office are always so friendly and nice. I have a small dog walking around the community on long walks are playing in the fenced in dog park. The grounds are always kept really nice, I have really enjoyed living here.
Mansions are such good landlords. They always follow through with work orders and get them done very quickly (thanks Kevin for the great maintenance work). Thanks Mansions for making our home a great place to live.
My brother, his wife and son live in these apartments. I always enjoy going to visit them because it feels like home. Probably one of the most comfortable and enjoyable places in the are.
I would not recommed living at this apartment complex. I have attempted in this review to provide a factual timeline of the events I experienced, from the start of the process to when I moved out. Background:I lived here for a single year, in a two-bedroom unit with my girlfriend. There was a master bedroom with a bathroom, and a smaller guest bedroom with a hallway bathroom. We lived in one of the ground floor units. We were initially promised a ceiling fan in the bedroom. While there was one in the living room, we distinctly asked if we could get one in the bedroom as well, and were told we could. After making multiple requests once we moved in, this never happened and we were told it would have to wait as an upgrade for our 1-year lease renewal time.We had a small yard behind our patio that would flood every time it rained - the drainage of the yard was terrible and would leave standing, fetid water for approximately three days after (I uploaded pictures to show the flooding). The apartment office said they could do nothing about this flooding and post-rain drainage issue. My girlfriends car was broken into, when it was parked directly (about fifteen feet away) in front of our apartment. The apartment said that they could do nothing about this. (Fairly understandable, but I wanted to capture their response) Its not necessarily a great neighborhood to begin with, but it seems the apartment complex takes little additional action to secure their residents. For example, other apartments in the Independence area hire outside security or have security cameras and better lighting.Upon moving out of the apartment complex, a damage inquiry was filed against us. This was to resurface the bath tub in the hallway. The only problem with this is that we simply never used that bathtub. The initial charge (minus security deposit) was approximately $800+. After speaking to the office on several occasions, it was determined that there was no way around this other than to pay the fee. I was contacted at work multiple times by an agent of the parent organization demanding I pay the above fees. Eventually, since we had not done any damage or used the bathtub, I hired a lawyer to intervene. After several communications with both the collection agent and the apartments, he informed me that while they would not contact us anymore for payment, we were probably out our security deposit as well.Ultimately a pretty miserable experience. Some of the these items are fairly understandable from a business perspective (like a ceiling fan is nothing to get worked up over), but the overall handling of my time there by the company leaves a lot to be desired.
Cassie is so helpful and really nice and professional I love her.....it didnt take long at all for me to be approved and Im so thankful especially with everything going on this year! Its been really hard for everybody!....Im happy to be a new resident at The Mansion! 😊
Do not move in this place..... the structure of the apartments are old as a hell.... any type of noise you can hear in your apartment rather being on the top level or bottom level..... the management is one sided and try to talk in circles..... I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO LIVE HERE AT ALL!!!!!!!!! BAD PLACE TO CALL YOUR HOME....... I Dont even give them any stars but it wont allow you to post if you dont give at least 1😠😡
Such a beautiful property! The staff is very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend The Mansion!
I absolutely LOVE The Mansions! I have lived here since 2012, and find this community a great place to call home. The maintenance team is incredible! They are quick, and very proficient in their work. You can tell these guys have been doing this a long time, and are very good at their jobs! The groundskeeper keeps this place so clean, and beautiful. My daughter and I love taking our little Girl dog for walks in the rose garden, especially in the spring time when everything is starting to bloom. I give the Mansions 5 stars!!!!
This has become my home. I love everything about living here. The community is so great. I have not had even one bad experience. Keep doing what you are doing!!
Lived here for just about three years! The only reason I moved out is because I wanted to be closer to my work. Everyone in the Mansion’s office is so friendly, and maintenance is great. -They complete requests within 1 day or less. The property itself is pretty and well-kept. I loved living here, and I miss it!
Lived there for 15 months, quiet neighbors, grounds were well kept, maintenance guys were great at their job and swift! Leasing office staff was always pleasant and professional! If it were not for the commute to/from work, Id still be living at the mansions.
Such a bittersweet week. Ive lived at the Mansion apartments for the past 3.5 years. When I began my apartment searching in 2014, I saw this complex off of Lees Summit Road and decided to stop in. I met with Laureen on that first day and she was so very helpful, knowledgeable, and I was sold after meeting with her and seeing the unit. The units are a bit older, but they are so spacious and nice. Whenever I needed maintenance, which was very rare. I think it was 6-7 times within the past 3.5 years, they were on top of it. I have nothing but good to say about this complex. I felt at home on day 1. I always felt safe there and the community was wonderful and looked out for each other. Im going to miss it but excited for my new house. If youre thinking about checking out the Mansions, which I highly recommend, just contact Laureen. She is amazing and will work with you!
I cant believe I havent posted a review yet! The entire staff is super sweet usually. Myisha is the best leasing representative in the office! If you have the chance to work with her, do. Maintenance is very timely. The only downside is parking, but there isnt much to be done about that when so many other people love to live here.
Im really enjoying my experience at The Mansion Apartments so far! Myisha is friendly, personable, and always willing to go out of her way to make sure you have the best experience. Any interaction Ive had with other admins has been pleasant as well. I moved in about a month ago and Im pleased with my apartment. Theyd installed newer appliances in the kitchen prior to my move-in which made me very happy and any issues Ive had so far have been promptly fixed by maintenance. Im looking forward to the rest of my stay here!
The maintenance team goes above and beyond to help. The office communicates really well with residents which has also been great. Great place to live.
I have lived here 7 yrs and have loved every moment of it. Ive never had any problems with neighbors, office staff or maintenance. Mostly i love that i feel safe. To me that has been the most important and each year when it comes time to renew my lease that has been the biggest factor in staying. Good size apartments, clean well maintained property and neighbors that are nice and respectful. Great place to live!
I lived in a one bedroom apartment that was the perfect size for me and my cat. When my brother decided to move in with me, we went to the office and the staff was so helpful in finding the best apartment for us! We live in a nice two bedroom apartment with great neighbors. When I first moved in it immediately felt like home. Maintenance workers are always friendly and when they are here are quick and get everything done with one trip. I am so happy to be living here and plan on being here for a while!
I love 💘 and enjoy my evening walks around the community. Its friendly and a very quiet and safe environment. The grounds are are clean and beautiful.
The leasing staff and maintenance are kind and responsive. The apartment homes are cozy and nice, especially considering they are older. The countertops, fireplace and carpet are good. Neighbors are nice. The storage area on patios/balconies is really nice to have too. The pool and recycling are huge pluses. Also, the office staff goes the extra mile to make sure you understand what is happening to your account and answers questions you might have about the community, pest control, etc. The app sometimes gets a little buggy with login, but thats something I probably should take to the app developer
2 big things: There was a leasing agent who did some trickery on the contract I signed, basically she upped my rent by $20 per month and intentionally completely mislead me on monthly rent cost. Also they tried a VERY dirty trick to assess a lease violation against me to keep me from being able to get an apartment elsewhere in the future. I’d stay away from this trap hole. When I was able to prove I had exemplary renting history previously elsewhere, plus a top credit score, I was able to attain my next apartment (luckily). Also had mold growing in my bottom floor apartment and my shower wasn’t clean on day 1, contracted a horrid fungal athletes feet that still flares up randomly to this day. Unbelievable to not have a cleaned apartment on day 1.
This is a great place to live. Myisha and Carla in the office are the best. Maintenance guys are fast to respond.
I lived in a one bedroom apartment on the third floor at the Mansion Apartments from July 2015 to September 2016. Would definitely recommend this place. All basic expectations were met. Very very safe and quiet.Maintenance: when there were maintenance issues they were resolved within a day.Office Staff: The manager Krista, I believe, was amazing. Hopefully they kept her around. There was one tenured leasing agent that was not pleasant in any way but I often just avoided the office when she worked. Everyone else was pleasant, accommodating and understanding.Utilities: All electric apartments and the buildings are old. So during the harsh winter months and the harsh hot months my bills rose from around $20/mo to $100/mo.My biggest issue was a closet rack coming out the wall. Even still it was fixed the next day.Loved the balcony.I highly recommend the apartments and would definitey return.
They do not take care of their residents and unfortunately they are not worth the court time to properly address their lack of providing a safe and secure place to rent. WOW responded with the same bully tactics used in the past. Guess what Kevin, you can not intimidate me or control my post as I said the management here is fine until they are not then you get the treatment? DODGE AT ALL COSTS Now you can throw in fires as well to update previous review. Restate dodge at all costs.
I would not recommend this place. We moved from the East coast to get closer to family and friends. Found these inexpensive apartments. Well it turns out you get what you pay for. The building are literally falling apart. Windows do not provide any insulation from the cold. They do not open or need a stick to keep them up. Worst off our living room window would leak, no pour, when there was rain. Maintenance came out 4 times to fix it. Couch got ruined. Once had our car broken into on the property. Seemed this was quiet common after talking to the neighbors. The complex supposedly got security to watch the property. I may have seen the yellow light speeding through no more than once a week. Electrical outlets would frequently spark and were so worn that plugs would not stay in. Moving out was a battle in itself. We moved from 5 complexs prior to this one receiving full deposit back at each one. Neighbors warned us to expect charges when leaving. This was not far from the truth. Got charged for the windows that were taken by maintenance during their multiple fix attempts among other things. Called the office but they will not talk to you as the property management handles the finalization. Worst off got charged interest during when we were disputing the charges and waiting for them to call us back.
I enjoy living at The Mansion Apartments. The staff really stays on top of things. I’m going on my second year here. I had to transfer to a different unit for personal reasons and the office staff made it happen smoothly. The maintenance team is also awesome.
Don’t sign no agreement til u check out the apartment and the side ur moving into they got me with that...was shown n told I was moving into one place than gave me another apartment and also the lady was hella rude when I asked bout it
Last summer, I began researching apartment complexes in and surrounding the Kansas City area. At first, my search was frustrating, I found that many of the complexes were overpriced and unclean. Then, in August I visited the Mansions. Myisha was welcoming, friendly, and more than happy to answer all of my questions! From that point on, it was clear that the mansions were the best fit for me. I moved in last month, and I can’t say enough about the staff and services the Mansion apartments have to offer. Specifically, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the maintenance department. Last Sunday, I had a problem with my plumbing, and decided it was necessary to contact the emergency maintenance line. The on call maintenance man was at my door within five minutes and fixed the problem in under an hour. I highly recommend the Mansions to anyone in search of a new home. - Matt Thompson
The apartment you move into may not look anything like the one they show you. They will show you a nice clean apartment with new carpet and new appliances, but you may get moved into an apartment with old appliances and stained carpet. Also the only place I’ve lived where the pet fee doesn’t count toward carpet cleaning or anything the pet may have messed up. Pretty much just a fee to give them more money.
There are not enough kind, positive words to describe mine and my husbands experience at The Mansions thus far. The leasing staff, Carla and Myisha are two of the kindest, most thoughtful employees Ive ever encountered. They are very quick with their response time (one day minimum) and they treat you like youre their number one priority. The maintenance staff is wonderful as well. Weve had a few minor issues throughout the past three years (stove breaking, light fixture shorting out, A/C breaking in the summer) and their response time has always been the day of. They are so quick to help and make things right for their tenants. My husband and I have just recently upgraded to a 2-bedroom apartment and we are so excited to continue living here at the best apartments in Independence. I called Myisha about a week ago asking what steps we needed to take in order to move into a 2 bedroom. She was so kind and helpful and went out of her way to call us and get everything taken care of within a week. Most stress-free customer service experience ive ever had.Thank you guys so much!
Working here has been such an amazing change for me! I love this company and the people I work with! I really enjoy helping people find their new homes and on top of that we have a BEAUTIFUL property!
Love the staff! Moving has never been easier. You can ge almost everything done online. And I actually got a call from Carla, the staff member that helped me a few days later to see how I was settling in.
This is a great place to live and work. Such great people, not only the residents but the employees as well. The Mansion maintenance team is hands down the best and most experienced you will find in apartment living.
While maintenance was very helpful and quick with some things. Others not so much. Our first week our AC unit leaked into our nursery leaving the carpet soaking wet, maintenance was out in no time to fix it BUT the carpet was left up for almost two months and took multiple calls before we got it put back in. Our heat went out in December, maintenance was very quick to fix it and very friendly. My BIGGEST problem was paying for pest control monthly and seeing no benefit from it. I put in countless service requests for ticks throughout the whole year as well as brown recluses in my children’s rooms. Requests were usually ignored, I believe my apartment was sprayed twice within the year we’ve been here. We were also overcharged by $100 our last months rent.
Used to be a well run and maintained complex, recently swapped to a new management company. The new outfit seems very oriented on the cost and the enforcement a yearly rent increase that is driving most older tenants out of the community. This mixed with early termination fees, and HUGE non-yearly lease premiums has made it clear that cash is king in the Mansion. Avoid this place unless youre absolutely a long term renter or have several thousand dollars to break the lease. NOT RECOMMENDED for short term.
Ive been here 16 months now and everyone is great here. Laureen and staff are great to work with always, and when I needed help Kyle came over and didnt want to charge anything. Just the nicest people and a great apartment complex to live in.
I was a renter from December 7th, 2018 to December 9th, 2019. My girlfriend and I paid every bill on time, we were never a nuisance, we never caused any problems. We were kicked out of the pool even though we lived in the complex. We were told that we were given a pool pass when we moved in even though we were never given one.Our stove ended up breaking and maintenance tried blaming it on us, then realizing that it was their fault for the stove breaking. They replaced it with a new stove. When we moved in we were told that the appliances were all brand new, when they said they were replacing the stove they had informed us that it was a 35 year old stove. Our A/C had gone out one day while it was hot outside, and we called about getting it fixed. One of the maintenance men came the next day to fix it. My girlfriend had left to go to her dads with our daughter at 2:30 in the morning. When the maintenance man arived to fixed it, he asked me why she left at 2:30. That was not the only time he had noticed her leaving late at night. My girlfriend felt uncomfortable around this maintenance man particularly.Come our last month we get told our rent was different than what was emailed to us in the first place.During our stay we had a dog, we were told by one of the employees (Myisha) that someone had complained about him howling and barking and the next time it happened we needed to find somewhere else for him to live. The next day we sent him to live with my parents. When we went up to inform them out dog no longer lived there I ask if we had to pay another $300 pet fee. We were told that we would owe another $300 even though one animal would stillbe living there. We were told that come our move out date by Myisha that we would get our pet fee back. This pet fee was $300. Come to find out we never get the pet fee back and we didnt have to pay another $300 for one pet to still live there. On our last day of being there we got a call from Myisha asking when we would be done. We told her that we had to pick some things up then we would be done. We headed over to the apartment to clean everything else up and here maintenance had already done a walk through and had sent the painters in. We walk through the door and every single light was on, mean while the light bill is still in our name. There were buckets of paint in our living room. We called up to the front office about this and come to find out Myisha had told maintenance that we would be done and out of there by 11:00 in the afternoonAll in all our whole experience was horrible. I would suggest if you are looking for a good apartment in this area to look into the Summerset apartments.
Called to get information spoke with Amy briefly and the entire phone call she spoke down to me as if I am stupid. I re-asked questions because she had a tone and was speeding through our conversation. Please dont be in customer service if you cant even PRETEND to talk to someone with respect.
I lived in the one bedroom Washington unit at The Mansions for two years and five months. Office staff is super helpful, maintenance is very quick and reliable, often getting an issue taken care of same day. The grounds are often kept nice and clean, as are the pools, workout room, and laundry facilities. During the winter, snow removal is prompt and youll often see the maintenance team salting ALL the walkways early morning. The office will usually accept all packages through US mail which is pretty awesome. There is a pretty neat online portal where you can view your lease and pay rent, as well as keep up with whats happening in the community. As far as the single bedroom goes, there was plenty of space for storage between the walk-in closet and patio storage area. I fit my sectional, an entertainment stand, kitchen table, queen bed, desk and dresser in 549 square feet and didnt feel cramped. Bathroom has a LOT of counter space with areas for storage underneath. The windows are great for natural light and go almost floor to ceiling - during the day I rarely turned a light on. Ive heard that the apartment maintenance team will weatherize your doors and windows, but I didnt and saw some high utility bills trying to keep the place warm in the winter. Neighbors can sometimes be a little inconsiderate and the office handles this to the best of their abilities, but generally the people who live here are polite and friendly. Parking can be kind of a drag, as in most places where there are a high concentration of people. Parking lighting suffers a bit, there can be some very dark areas on the property at night, though at last communication I believe management is working to lighten up the lots. I didnt see security as much as I liked, but security does make patrols on the property at night. There is consistently an issue with tampering of vehicles at this apartment complex, so if you like your fancy motorcycles and have to keep it in the lot, plan on overpreparing with disc locks and covers. Again, neighbors are very considerate of reporting any suspicious activity. The apartment was extremely nice and very clean when I moved in and I expect the same standard exists in other units. I broke my lease early through no fault of the apartment complex, and Myisha in the front office helped me through the process and was very reassuring when discussing my options. She was super patient and answered all of my questions and what-ifs and explained everything that could and would happen. Molly sent my final statement to my email so I could have my paperwork nice and complete and was very prompt and attentive in closing out my time at The Mansion. Overall, this apartment is wildly affordable, electric and internet not included all my house expenses were under 700 and I lived alone. Proximity to grocery and I-70 and entertainment is extremely convenient.Best parts: carpet, prompt and professional maintenance, office staff are a bunch of rockstars, beautiful grounds, laundry facilities on site (keep your quarters!)Not so great: Parking is a little dark, sometimes parkers can be inconsiderateIf youre looking for a nice place to live, Id recommend the Mansion.
The office staff and maintenance staff have been nothing but helpful since moving in! Anytime I need anything or have any questions they are so helpful and always answer my questions promptly. They have been great!
Since the arrival of sub-zero temperatures this month, my apartment doors are leaking in lots of that air and even cold with rotating space heater directed on me is still quite cold. I put in service request last month for new weatherstripping which hasnt been done yet.A couple of days after above review, the new weatherstripping was installed & the cold air coming in has reduced quite a bit so Im satisfied!
Love living at The Mansion Apartments. Staff are very friendly. Maintenance staff very top notch, quickly handle issues, usually same day! Love the greenways, trees, & amenities!!!
Weve lived here the last 2 years while saving to buy a house. Now it is time to leave.First off-we LOVE Glendale elementary!Second- Ive lived in other apartments with horrible management turnover and hugely lacking maintenance but we have loved our experience with all the staff at The Mansions! We have had very minimal maintenance issues and the response is always quick and ACTUALLY solves. Not just putting a bandaid on it.To close out our experience we hit a scary snag on our house closing and thought we lost our moving date. Of course long after we gave our notice. I walked in crying to Myiesha and Amy and both of them were so kind and immediately jumped into what our options are if we were to need to stay. They had already leased our apartment for after move out but they were so supportive with ideas to not let us be left high and dry. Luckily it all worked out with our home buying but these 2 girls truly had our best interest at heart. Thanks for being our home the last 2 years!
I had an appointment to tour the mansion apartments with the lovely Myisha Carter. She was very helpful with all of the questions I had to ask. She was super positive and very nice about everything. She was super helpful all around.
The staff are amazing girls that are always willing to help you whenever needed. Laureen is one of the best leasing agents around!! She has always been so kind and made sure everything was ok with my apartment. Great place to live!!
Have really gone down hill in the last few years. Very old apartments that are not updated, just painted over a bunch of times & cheap super old appliances. Beautiful outdoor scenic area. But over priced old apartments. Car has been broken into twice.
These apartment are overpriced, raise your rate by an unreasonable amount at the end of your first 14 month lease, the amenities are pathetic and require additional payment to use, and they charged us nearly $300 in cleaning fees when we moved out. This is all before you even get to the miserable state of the units themselves which, despite a nice initial appearance, constantly produce one problem after another for the tenet. I would strongly advise you to avoid the Mansion Apartments, there are enough better priced and better maintained apartments in the area that it really is not worth considering.
My roommate and I toured quite a few apartment complexes in the area and fell in love with the Mansion Apartments! When we came to turn in our applications, there were currently no openings but Carla took our numbers and promised to call if anything opened up. Within a few days, she called and let us know of an available unit & from the move in process, the check-in phone call, and help with a few things we needed taken care of-I am SO grateful we made the choice to live here!! Carla has gone above and beyond and I would highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone searching for a new home!!
If I could give negative stars I would! This place is terrible!!!There is black mold in the walls! The place floods all of the time and the staff expects you to live there until something else opens up, put down a new deposit, sign a longer lease, and pay the increase in rent if you dont want to wait until your floor plan is available!!!!!!!!!!!! This place is disgusting and outrageous! Whoever gets apartment 2206 fair warning there is still black mold in the walls cause they didnt do anything for it... dont believe me? I have proof! Dont go here! Not only that, the staff is rude! The only good person in that office is Laureen and she is usually so busy you never get her! They dont believe you when you say something is wrong, they dont fix anything.Anyone having mold issues in these apartments should contact the City of Independence... They already have cases open and are made aware of the problem!Because of this review I got called and harassed for leaving the truth.
Love working with Karla she made the moving process easy and always communicates!
It has been a great place to live so far. Only bad think would be some neighbors that like to slam their front door every time they close it. But that has nothing to do with the apartments themselves.
I stayed there over a couple years. Maintenance MOSTLY took care of things promptly. My dishwasher and garbage disposal stopped working properly 6 months before I moved out. All the maintenance would do was drain the dishwasher and the problem would occur again the next time I used the dishwasher.Management was very friendly anytime. Laureen knew always made a point to call me by name. I got a fan in my room after I renewed the first time and an awesome red accent wall for my second renewal. The fitness center MAJORLY needed an upgrade. The hot tub was shut down due to jerks turning it up too high. I never got to even try it. The pools were kept clean and the property was very well kept up.On occasion, the maintenance men would stand at the entrances with juice and muffins to give to residents on their way to or from work. It was really thoughtful! I could NEVER hear my neighbors conversations. The fire department came by a lot, but I think that is because there are elderly people living in the complex.I received a little of my deposit back, even though I didnt do any damage to the apartment. The stovetop has to be PRISTINE condition, the spill guards even have to be just as they were found. No real complaints. Wish the neighbors were friendlier and didnt keep to themselves.
Leasing professional Myisha Carter is by far the best leasing agent I’ve ever spoken with. She was SO helpful when my husband and I were in the process of looking for our next home. I really LOVED her spirit and her willingness to help find us a unit in the timeframe we were needing. She continuously stayed in communication with me and outlined all details of cost and everything at time of move. Unfortunately our move in date ended up not working this time, but you better believe we’ll be back!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING Ms. Myisha
I took a tour of this place last week and it impressed me. The leasing agent, Myisha Carter, was very friendly and professional. The grounds looked well-kept and the apartments are nice.
Just would like to give a sincere thanks and appreciation to Ms.Myisha Carter for her diligent assistance when applying and being approved for The Mansion....Myisha you rock!!!!
The apartment is very nice and the grounds are well kept. The only problem that i have is that the management staff will do anything they have to do to get more money. They dont care about their customers. They are boarderline unprofessional. They are not really willing to work with the people that live here, to them were all just numbers. This is my personal opinion and others may have had other experiences.
This is the first apartment that I have ever lived in and I love it. The grounds are taken care of and the dog park is an awesome bonus!
These people are very rude and have illegal practices. I paid an outstanding debt with them from 2010 and they are refusing to speak with me about it or notify the lawyer in order to get it removed from my casenet record. Also, Krista in the office asked me questions about a completely unrelated debt account not related to The Mansion which was illegal for her to do. The women were very mean and rude and then Andrea laughed at me when I became upset that they wouldnt contact their lawyer to inform that Id paid the debt that was over $2400. You would think theyd be more cooperative since I worked to get the debt paid - instead they were mean, inconsiderate and very rude. I wonder if they would have treated that way if I werent a woman of color? Now Ive had to hire an attorney just get The Mansion and their lawyer to send me proof of settlement and remove it from casenet. So glad to be done with them.
Going into my second year at the mansions! I love it, management and maintenance are always on time!
Thank you Geno and Vince from the maintenance staff for installing my new patio fence, and puttung down mulch. I have lived here for 20 years and it looks great!
Love it the pool was extremely nice but the rose garden was over grown and obviously unattended to.
Nice, quiet, family friendly neighborhood. The maintenance staff are amazing.
Racoons are infested in the ceiling of my 72 yr old mothers apartment. 5 or 6 have been removed from the holes in the ceiling and you can hear more running around as of 6/28/2016. Recently a meeting with the manager and office worker resulted in my mom and I being referred to as liars over the whole situation. We have pictures of the raccoons and sound recordings of the babies crying in the ceiling. My mother has allergies and congestive heart failure but is expected to live in these conditions, as no accommodations were offered, nor have apologies been given.Rent is still being charged as if there were no issues at all. I do not recommend living here, and have referred this to Linda Wager with Problem Solvers.
PARKING SUCKS!! I always have to park a Building away!!
Laureen leased to me 5 Summers ago and is still here at the property! Idk if the owner realizes what a gem they have on their hands!! WE LOVE LIVING HERE!!!!
I would have been more inclined to rate this place a three or four, but after the entire experience i stand firm on a one star review. To start the location is about 4 out of 5, i enjoyed how close it was to everything. The apartments themselves were decent, nothing special, funny when theyre called the mansion apartments, lol. Pricing would be a 2 or 3, the prices are not horrible, but they are definitely high considering the standard level apartments that they have. Staffing is a 4 or 5, they were really nice and let me keep to my self. Now, where it gets interesting. After a year of living here i had no problems except for the fact that the upstairs apartment had flooded and drained through my ceiling like seven times, Im not exaggerating. Everytime i got a different excuse and it was never a permanent fix and at one point my ceiling was sagging from water damage, they didnt fix it, they had a guy come out and pepper spray the ceiling... I wouldnt be surprised if theres mold growing. When it came time to renew my lease i had informed them i was looking into purchasing my own home, the only deal they could work with me was something like a monthly or every two month deal, i cant remember exactly, but it was more expensive, so i sided with another year. About six months later i found a home and i went through all the proper steps of breaking my lease early, with no problems, except they charge you the next two months of rent as well as three more months. After being at my new residence a month, i received a bill of $450 from the mansion, claiming that because i broke some of the cheap vinyl blinds they were going to charge $20 per set. Thats a little steep considering the poor quality blinds that they own, but I wasnt tripping over that. The outrages part was that i had left normal stains on the rug and they are charging $200 for cleaning that... That is just plain rediculous. Adding to that i have two kids, who had chipped some paint off two of the doors and i had two spots on the wall as well that had chipped paint and theyre trying to charge me $100 something to repaint, not only do they already have the paint, but i could buy their paint and supplies for cheaper than that. To top it all off the tub in this apartment wasnt much different than when i first moved in and theyre charging me to resurface the tub, because i illegedly stained it, when Im serious it looked almost exactly like when i moved in.All in all i dont recommend anyone renting from here. The staffing is nice and the majority of the things you recieve from this apartment complex is mediocre at best, for a kind of high price, but even when youve payed every bill on time for a year and a half, never caused any trouble for them, and broke lease in the proper manner, while leaving the apartment in decent shape, they take advantage of you and take you to the cleaner, charging you extreme repair costs and if you dont pay it, it hits your credit and your rental history. Theres the same quality places nearby for cheaper and i bet a better closing experience too. It really is hard to believe that after the zero problems they had out of me the entire time i was there, theyre taking advantage of me when i leave... Welp it is what it is. Theyre burning another bridge and from the looks of it, Im not the only one whos had the same problems.
Beautiful property and great rent prices. The staff is absolutely amazing!
Great place to live and wonderful office staff and maintenance staff
Very easy and pleasant place. The leasing office is great!!!
Where to start .... The apartment staff are ride once you move in ... The apartment maintenance half way do there job on repairs they will remove it before fixing anything an if the staff make an agreement with you get your own copy because they will remove it out your file once they relized they made a mistake. The parking is insane our tires were slashed at one point an the staff in the office automatically said it was because we were parked wrong. You pay for amentieis you cant use the hot tub hasnt worked in the year my wife and kids lives here the pool was late opening an you pay for all the extras but dont get the full benefits of it. The one utility Bill you get is out rageous the walls are so thin you here people on the stairs an in there apartments. This is not the mansions at all its a big joke. Dont rent form them there are a lot better apartments out in this area an better prices an better staff
THIEVES! BEWARE! I applied for an apartment as a cosigner for my daughter and her husband. They make you apply the application fee from your checking account online. Once my daughter, husband and 1 month old grandson went to look at the apartment. Laureen the manager, looked at them like they were scum. They each have tattoos. They were then denied the application claiming that my daughters husband was once arrested years ago. NO felony. Hes also military and its disgusting to me that he is denied an apartment. So.... I was supposed to get the refund as promised. NEVER came and they refuse to answer my emails! I am now fighting to get the money back through my bank! Horrible people!!
Love this place!
It looks nice but, go by at night, youll be surprised
My experience has been non-existent due to the fact that I am unable to -VIEW any of the floor plans (Ive tried multiple times in the last month) on-line.
Good neighborhood! But some of the apartments are outdated and need work.
Rundown and ghetto, Id rather live in Hawthorn.
RUN !!!!! They are Liars. Thieves. Do not tell you anything you should really know about living there until you are roped in. All about money and could not care less about you as a tenant. Moving there was the worst decision I ever made !! NEGATIVE STARS !
Very safe place to live
