Absolutely amazing shop, work, and people! I had a ring custom made back in ‘06. I wear it every day, and I work on a ranch so I use my hands. I’ve broken it once a year every year since and had it repaired by countless places. The folks here said, we can fix that and make it so it won’t break again. They built up the weak spots reshaped it, polished and did it all in a week and for $50. Everyone else took months to weld it together again and cost 3x as much! I trust them that it will never break again, but now I’ll have to find another reason to come in! They are great honest people who do amazing work!

We went into Dales expecting our needs not to be met. I have a very unique wedding ring that I custom designed. Ive always wanted a wedding band to compliment its breathtaking beauty. I naturally assumed that a wedding band would require the same attention.Jeanne met us at the door and we instantly clicked. She understood our concerns. The first ring she pulled out was THE ONE. It met the curves of my ring like a match made in heaven. We tried on others to kill my curiosity. But I kept coming back to the one Jeanne first pulled. She truly saved me! Went in with my girlfriend this past Christmas since I am from IF but now live in Arizona. Danielle helped us out and took wonderful notes. I mentioned I wasnt in a rush to get a ring and she completely understood. She would follow up every month or two just to check in. Let me tell you how awesome Dale Jewelers is! My best buddy had a very tragic circumstance which caused him to lose his wife and left him a in a pretty bad way financially. He had her ring and needed money. I took him to multiple places, (I wont name names but you can figure it out). These jewelers tried to take advantage of friends situation. Some of them belittled him and made him feel terrible. He was open minded enough to realize what was happening. We came to Dales and tried again. Doug the current owner gave my friend a reasonable price to sell but not only that. He recommended my friend wait a while. The beginning of the covid-19 scare was driving prices down. He gave my friend advise even though he could have easily done what other jewelers only blocks away did. It helped my friend realize the potential of the ring he had for the future. I had a really great experience with Dales! We brought in my engagement ring to get it resized because it was a bit to small and the very friendly ladies helped me figure out what size was perfect! We got it back in a week and you cant even tell it was resized. Ive seen some very ugly resizes online but theres no flaws and it came back soo shiny. I was trying to sell a ring for a friend, and I was going to go to at least 3 places to check prices. First stop, Dales! I was there at 9:30 right when the doors opened. I was greeted right away and taken care of promptly. I was told what would have to be done to the ring, since it had a chip in the diamond, and what it was worth now and what it would be worth after being fixed. I continued to my other 2 stops and the next stop wasnt to bad, very nice and informative. The last place, downtown, was horrible! Told me the ring was like a totaled car, not worth anything! What a horror this was, a 1 1/2 carat diamond stud on a wide gold band, a totaled car!! Crazy!!! I went back to Dales and they gladly took care of me and we were both happy with the deal!!Thanks guys,Darla

I love Dales. Ive been getting my wedding ring cleaned there for years. He has also rebuilt my prongs over the last 16 years. They are honest and very fast and efficient. I wouldnt take my jewelry any where else. They selection of jewelry is very good too. Never disappointed!!

I absolutely LOVE Dales Jewelers!! Im originally from the Idaho Falls area but moved to Utah recently and I wont go to any other jeweler. And, if they dont have it in the store they will order whatever you want. I cannot tell you how many compliments I get on my wedding ring every single day. Ive been in a few times to get my ring cleaned or resized and they always make time for me and finish in a timely manner. Theyre also very reasonably priced! DALES JEWELERS is a long-time Idaho Falls trusted business. The craftsmanship and dedication of owner, Doug Jones is admirable. The sales personnel are all gracious and helpful and make the store a comfortable experience. The pieces Mr. Jones creates under his own label, Stewart Douglas Designs, are exquisite and my personal favorites.

I needed a very specific ring for my proposal to my now wife, Dales Jewelers was amazing and friendly to work with, even staying after hours so I could come pick up my ring after it was finished. They also do high quality work while staying around my budget as a college student with great payment options if you need them. Its two hours away and is still the first place I would go or recommend.

Nice selection and not pushy or condescending about getting more expensive things. They were very quick about getting my diamond set and ring sized. My husband works at the site so getting in before 6:00 was tricky but the owner just came back in later for us.The other people were really nice too.I feel like we got great value for what we spent. We were trying to find someone who could inlay our daughter’s ashes into a metal band. I lost a stone in my ring and when I came into Dales I was greeted promptly and warmly. They were great to work with and they told me they would do everything they could to find a replacement stone. Since it was a hard color to match, the guy said he would order a new stone with no obligation to me. He also said if it didnt look right he wouldnt put the stone in. This was wonderful! No pressure! They called me a week later and said my ring was all fixed and for less than what I thought! When I got my ring back it looked brand new! I couldnt even tell which stone had been replaced. I am so grateful for Dales Jewelers and their fantastic customer service. I will be a return customer for sure!

This is THE jewelry store in Idaho Falls. Their inventory is stunning, but more importantly their staff is exceptional and Doug is an expert. I have a very sentimental piece that needed serious but very delicate repair. I asked jewelers all over Jackson and Idaho Falls and was told it couldn’t be fixed. Doug said “let me take a look.” I trusted him and the necklace I’ve worn for more than 35 years could pass for brand new, and I can finally go back to wearing it every day! I’ll never use another jeweler for any repair. And my husband knows where he’d better shop from now on!

BUYERS BEWARE!!!! This is not a one stop shop jewelry store. I bought my wifes engagement ring from Dales and every time she gets it cleaned she finds something she must have. They have the most unique selection of jewelry available and the best prices I have found both online and locally.

If I could give Dales less than one star I would. What a horrendous experience! First, we were quoted a price about 25% below the manufacturers retail price on a ring. When I went back with cash in hand to negotiate a more reasonable price, Megan quoted me the manufacturers full retail price. I attempted to be pleasant and let her know that I was well aware of the markup on jewelry, and she immediately got very nasty with me and demanded to know where I was from! Guess what? Megan, I hope you enjoy the lost commission on our ring! Security Jewelers in Duluth, MN sold us the EXACT ring, at half of the manufacturers retail, including engraving, shipping, tracking and the works. Jay at Security used to live in Ketchum so he loves Idaho. He did everything with me via phone and email with absolutely lovely customer service. I will never go into Dales again, no matter if they are giving things away!

Got my wedding ring here and they have been fabulous. Free cleaning whenever I want and they check the prongs each time as well to make sure the stones stay forever. Great business.

My husband and I bought each other our wedding rings here 23 years ago and we loved the service we received then, but it was an experience that I had over the last week that has sealed my devotion to this store. I have a ring that has been in my family for generations. It is not the fanciest setting, just a simple solitaire, and it is not an incredibly valuable stone, just a shabby garnet, but it is full of history and memories for our family. When it was handed down to me, the prongs were loose, and one of them was snapped off completely. I took it in last week, and the sweet lady behind the counter treated it just like it was the crown jewels. I purchased a small wedding ring for my wife here. While the ladies at the counter were super friendly, Im not so thrilled with the quality of the ring. One of the small diamonds fell out of it about a week after I put it on her finger. Id still buy another ring from here but not before asking them to make sure the diamond was securely fastened.

My fiance and I spent an entire day shopping for rings and feeling very pressured and overwhelmed. Our first stop the second day was Dales and will forever be our first stop moving forward. As soon as we walked in the door it was a different experience. Both of us being in construction type fields we needed a good quality ring and had many questions. Doug answered them all and explained in a very clear cut way. This was the only place in town we found a marques cut diamond which is what I really wanted. He had them sized and ready to go by the end of the day! We will be back for our future needs in jewelry.

My family has been going to Dales for years and we trust him! He fixed my ring that I could be proud of! I brought them my wedding ring that had been ruined by kay jewelers, I cried when they gave me my ring it looked so horrible. They took two months to get me my ring back and it came back crooked, with solder all over the ring, and they had put a silver setting on my rose gold band against my wishes. I took it into Dales and it took them two days to fix it! It came back absolutely beautiful! He cleaned up the solder from around the band and put a rose gold setting straight onto my ring and now it looks gorgeous! Thank you Dales!!

This is my first review I have ever done for a company. If you want the short version this place was amazing. They helped me find exactly what I wanted, their price was completive with online which a lot of jewelers couldn’t do. Then they had the ring sized the day it came in and resized it for me because I gave them the wrong size. So even after the sale they have been taking care of us.For the longer version, my fiancé told me she did not care what the ring was, she just wanted me to pick it out and have it be a surprise. I went to a local jeweler and told him my price range and asked what he had. That wasn’t the greatest experience because I knew nothing about rings and diamonds and it felt like I was being taken advantage of. Later to find out I was going to get ripped off. I spent the next two weeks spending hours doing research on diamonds and their value, learning about the 4Cs, and a lot more. I also looked into how much the actual ring should cost. On top of that I looked into Diamond alternatives, (I spent a lot of time learning in this area) the only ones worth talking about are lab grown diamonds which is the same thing just one is made in the earth and one is made in a lab, then last moissanite (the next best thing if you can’t afford a diamond, its awesome stuff!). I ended up going with the lab grown diamond. So, when I went to look around at different jewelers most won’t even give you the option of a lab grown, moissanite, or any other alternative. Dales on the other hand told me about them without even asking, knowing that I was a college student and might not have a huge budget to work with. Carolyn was the one who helped me find my diamond and she was a huge help. She ordering in different diamonds so I could see the difference, and finding ones for the price and size I wanted, she went all out to help me with everything. When the ring came in they sized it that day for me (my friend got a ring at a different place and it took 2 weeks). When I gave her the ring it turns out I told them the wrong size and had to get it resized for the 2nd time. Once again, the jeweler was there and resized it for me that day for free!
