Called at 10:30 and had an appointment at noon. Harry show me an example of his work and I went ahead and transferred 8mm film to a flash drive while I waited. He was a very pleasant man that did a super job transferring a 40 year old film to digital format and even brighten up the colors and smooth the film up a bit. Price for his service was very fair and I enjoyed talking with him while he was working and explaining the process. I highly recommend Texas Home Movies!!

Over the past several months, Texas Home Movies has converted about 17,000 feet of 8 mm movies I inherited from my father. The movies were dated from the 1960s to late 1980s. It cost me some money, but it was worth every penny to see so many memories. Many of them were priceless. An additional benefit is the ability to share them with my family. I have been very pleased with the results. One thing they told me that was helpful to them was the excellent condition of the movies I had converted. It made it easier for them to convert them.They have also converted some VHS tapes to digital and they turned out excellent also. I have been very impressed with the individual who did the work. He works hard to do the best he can with the movies to convert. If you have some movies to convert, I suggest you consider them.

Harry masterfully converted the DVD containing the professional video of my young son’s memorial service. You can imagine how important this is to me emotionally as his mom. Harry was understanding and thoughtful, and when he encountered a glitch, he solved it instantly.

These guys are great!! They digitized 20 reels of 8 and super 8 home movies for me Some of the reels were over 50 years old and they re-spliced and preserved my reels. They put everything on a hard drive for me and made me a few DVDs. They even told me if wanted additional editing or DVDs they would do it for no additional charge. Even offered support if I wanted to edit them myself on iMovie. Best thing is that I didnt have to ship the reels. I dropped them off and picked them up locally. They are great to work with and very helpful. I am recommending them to all my friends.

The service they provided was FINE, but my experience with Taylor was highly unprofessional. I needed my videos by a certain date and only found out after he missed my deadline (after I had spent days trying to get in touch) that the videos were not ready because other clients came in and wanted their videos done right away. Taylor never indicated my timing would be an issue, and even when I continued following up after my deadline had passed, there was no sense of urgency or an apology. If you have any expectation of getting them done in a timely manner, avoid.Update: the owner contacted me and let me know that a new employee is being brought in to help with customer service. That was my biggest problem with using this business, so if youre considering using them, its worth a phone call.

They made me an awesome slide show from old photos of my childhood. It was a present from my son. I really love it, looks like something you would see on TV!

Greatest thing in the world, to get these movies I had not seen in 20 years. its like getting pieces of the past back. Great people to deal with, as well.

Hard to find. Office is not where listed on Google maps. Disorganized, disheveled office. Old equipment and shoddy billing. Old chair that fell when I sat down! Skip this place.
