Great place for support and information for moms looking for job opportunities. Great service!
Very clean and surprisingly empty. Employees are very helpful and attractive. Really liked it!
Had a bad experience starting out the gate the greeting staff is rude and only a few members of staff that Ive encountered nice. Other than that you have to make appointments because they dont really do face to face.
They have so much to offer: youth services, jobs & education, tuition assistance (you dont have to pay back just pass the course), books, transportation, resume assistance, a wealth of initiatives (entrepreneurs Boot camp, womens empowerment) Refer youth 16-24 they have money to spend on summer jobs & services. This applies to all workforce offices.
A very new modern worksource location in a large empty bldg. Its desktops arent as old and glitchy as the ones on Tidwell (NE). The staff is helpful and its a quiet and serene spot. Although, the guy next to me was homeless and reaked, but at least he was looking for a job. But, I can never seem to get away from the young single moms with crying babies. What are you going to do? They only have two printers (but theyre new small combo printer, fax & copiers-sweet). I got everything I need in the time frame I gave myself, but please know the desktops lag a little, but compared to Tidwell completely turning off-thats unacceptable. They also have a set aside area for working on laptops (its four long leather couches facing each other in a square-nice touch).
The staff their were very nice and helping customer service was very good
They were very friendly and helpful..
Proceed with caution here. When calling to set up a curbside appointment or any other services, they try to turn away or even refuse to set up one even though they have those services. I had a run in with their operator/front desk guy, who tried lying about libraries being open and he refused to set up an appointment. I had to call and email a complaint just to get the appointment. Due to the Pandemic, libraries have been physically closed for nearly a year and thats public knowledge. I advised them of what he was doing but as far as I know, nothing was done. If you go there and meet a dude trying his damnedest to turn you away or is on the phone giving you the run around, beware.
It is closed due to Covid-19 and I wish they updated their google or official website timings. Had to really dig thru their website to find out the facility is closed to walk-in customers, which is a bit time consuming honestly.Otherwise, the location was decent, as it is easily accessible by the Metrorail Greenline offering quick service to downtown, and 080 MLK.Lockwood bus line runs by here. I also appreciate that it is conveniently next to the Baker Ripley Center.
Excellent job
Helpful employees!
Not open to the public, you will be advised to use your phone or your own computer in order to complete any applications. You are only assisted over the phone, they also pick and choose who to allow into the building.
Closed and its not even 5 yet! Ughhh
WASTE OF TIME & ENERGY!!!When I arrived to this location there were 3 people waiting along side by side me the first person had been waiting close to two hours the second person left because no one gave any assistance to her. After seeing all of this I finally made the decision to approach one of the employees and I couldn’t get a clear answer as to how much longer I needed to wait. When I finally was called I didn’t get any assistance and left very upset. Let me also add that they weren’t even busy, it seemed as if every one was doing kinda whatever they wanted to. I’m more than sure other people would greatly agree that this place needs to be investigated thoroughly.
Oh my goodness! I just talked with Ms. Velma Z. She is amazing! I sent an email requesting help from their office on yesterday evening. By 9:30am, she had called me, made the changes, and asked if there were any other areas I would like to work in. I never knew they could do this. I have not actively looked for a job in over 20 years and it was so refreshing to know that a governmental agency could be so helpful, polite, and engaged in assisting me in finding a new career. Thanks, Ms. Velma!!!!!!!!!!
They never answer the phone rather it be to an operator, employment counselor or a personal service representative. And god forbid you are sick they will sanction you with no regard. I have called 7 times within the last two hours and no one is answering the phones. You get paid to deny people not helping them?
They provided absolutely no help and took 6 hours to do it. This is a complete waste of tax payer dollars. The fax and computer services are the best. But there are no real life resources for help finding a meaningful career. I looked for a job and found one on my own. They then wanted me to report the success story. I better not.
I was just in this location to print off the CLD packet of a 178 pages of which I understand that most Workforce Solutions do not allow you to print that many pages without approval. I was informed that I would need a Flash drive after I expressed it the worker Erica that I would not be intrested and purchasing a Flash drive she walked away rudely at the same time stating I was just trying to help you.Miss Erica I do understand the area of which you are servicing you may feel this type of behavior is acceptable, however each and every customer that comes in to the office should be treated with dignity and respect. Please keep in mind that the reason the services are here and youre able to work is based upon the amount of customers that you are able to service in this area, otherwise you wouldnt be here. Please speak to Erica anout her poor customer service @
Very helpful when you need help with finding employment or government assistance. I suggest arriving earlier in the day to expedite the process.
Horrible experience
They’ re wait time is very ridiculous I waited 2 hours mins to a hour and I was the only person on the waiting list. it was just waste time .
Great place. They communicate with you and facilitate your job search. Saved a lot of time.
Harrisburg PSRs dont know the school voucher process. I was made to complete paperwork that was obsolete and select courses that didnt qualify for the program....I was then given a voucher with the wrong date and after two weeks the wrong dollar amount with an explanation Id need to make up the $300 dollar difference... Remember the first voucher was being corrected for the wrong date not the dollar amount. It took weeks and calls to the head and trustees of WFS to a corrected voucher. There is always the threat of no funding even with an approval letter that covers all three classes and books. The process lacks dignity!p. s. Good luck getting a timely response to a phone call, emails or a face to face ofc visit.Avg. ofc. wait time: 2.5 hrs.
Large office with a lot of computer terminals for job search. Great to print documents for free. Job search assistance and connections to training and other career advancement oppertunities. In a good plaza with food options. Wifi available
I know A lot of people complain about their experiences at the east end Workforce. But they have helped me land multiple jobs. They are awesome.
I just met racism at its fullest at this WorkSource. I had a two Hispanic ladys denied my paperwork, told me that I didnt have the correct paperwork, which I did. After I left very highly upset because one of ladies try to talk to me like I just didnt have no common sense ibut what she said didnt make sense. I talked to Brian he told me that my paperwork was correct to come back and you would do it but I feel so frustrated because I know how Hispanics are racist man
The staff is patient & courteous. The desktops, phones & fax are always in good shape. The WiFi is consistent, your not having to login over & over.
The PSRS ARE rude and would talk to you as if you have no intelligence! The staff needs more training, as well as a lesson in owning up to their MISTAKES! (What occurs too damn often!)
There is only one fax and printer. And, its the all in one. But easy access to computers without waiting.
Great place to get advice and help locating a job. Mr Mike Flores thanks for being so positive and helpful.
This is a place where the staff really helps you to me its one of the best
There are people who are really dedicated to helping individuals find employment.
Really great staff that go the extra mile to help you find a job...once they know youre serious about it.
Worst workforce solutions office i have ever visited . i prefer to go to the one at stella link on the other side of the city .this office just makes me waste my time they sent to places that arent hiring no more and when i ask them for help they just say they cant when i know they can . i was offered a good job once but i needed help with bus fare . i went to this office and all they did for me was wasted 4 HOURS OF MY TIME!!!!!!!!.they just didnt want to help people get a job . CANT BELIEVE THAT THE STATE OF TEXAS IS WASTING TAXPAYERS MONEY IN PLACES LIKE THIS
It good place looking for job leads, contacts, or whenever you need, you can use a computer or help with the a resume, and talk to a cast worker
The staff there are pretty helpful; they try as much as possible to give full information also.
Great!Lots of help.If you dont have a job after coming here, its because you dont want one.
Shout out to Mr Flores.I just got laid off. He help me get myself together for Unemployment step-by-step. Thanks you sir. Que diosito te bendiga 🙏🏼
Good staff but there can be a wait here.
These people are very helpful in helping you find work
A staff member made a snooty, sarcastic remark to my mother because she isnt an expert with computers. She knows the basics, as most do from her class of 1982 in a small Texas town! My mother felt embarrassed and left. Isnt that what the staff is there for? To ASSIST people with these sorts of things? Pathetic.
Lately I have been going to this place good staff good faculty
Helpful staff, professional atmosphere, and resources (e.g. computers, job postings) for job searching.
Good people they really help the only thing its gets pack
The last 6 months of my life have been hectic 2 years ago SSI took a way my Medicaid resulting in losing my physical and mental medications . After struggling with health issues and mental problems my job of 8 years ended . I am n to on trying to get my disability benefits back, thankfully my past employer still supports my situation. Here is where work force comes in to play.My wife has been unemployed for two years due to her mental and physical disabilities . I have been her sole supporter, due to my financial predicament I received help through MHMRA and Human Services in the form of food stamps. Since my wife is my dependant she was added to my file allowing us to receive the food we need, 3 days later we received a letter from Work Force staying she would lose these food stamps benefits if she didnt contact them to seek work. What they failed to do was take in the fact that less than 5 months ago she fell and broke her hip and received a total titanium hip replacement. She still uses a cane and has difficulty on steps, slopes and uneven surfaces, but we will lose her benefits if she doesnt show up today. We cant even afford bus fare or toilet paper but due to state entities such as the Work Force on Harrisburg who have know idea of peoples struggles this communication has caused her anxiety to accel. These people are they robots who only care about policy or just trained to save the state money, these letters actually are written as ultimatums, do it or else. Last time I checked were not living in a communist country, guess I was wrong.
Very helpful and faster than other locations.
I was able to get in, spoke to very friendly and informative staff, job search, update my resume, get info on upcoming job fairs, and left with a sense of accomplishment. I will be there again soon.
