These apartments only care about the outside, they never come to fix up the inside and not only do they have lazy maintenance but they have a whole load of roaches, you may even call it the life at roach park. The pesticide workers had came and the roaches grew in number and size, they had mutated, started flying and eating each other the roaches even changed in color and I knew I had to leave as soon as I saw a rat. Horrible apartments i’d give them zero stars if I could.

Great Staff. Ms. Jackie is excellent! Very patient and understanding. Housing took a little longer than expected but she was there helping me through it all!!!! The community is quiet and clean.

They are very unprofessional and liers! It is very sad that they give you the run around and dont answer phones. This is just sad.

I have been attempting since Tuesday to get ahold of someone i have had 2 meetings for a virtual tour with someone and both times been stood up. I have submitted application because it is cheap, feel as if i will never get someone to contact me. I have also tried calling and go straight to voicemail, im not sure if there is an email to send one so i can get an update or even a care from someone as i have left voicemails. Office management if you see this can you please have a leasing agent reach out to me thank you.

Worst apartments ever dont recommend at all I have been complaining about the bath tub for months and these ppl have not even came to take a look the housing came and we failed the inspection cuz the tub and they still refuse to come I rly dont recommend plz dont come here!!!!!!

I currently stay at this apartment. This is the only place I have lived where work orders get closed without any maintenance representative coming to fix any problems. I wait for weeks/months without getting key maintenance issues resolved by the management. You pretty much have to fix problems in your own apartment by yourself to make it conducive for you. Its really disheartening that maintenance issues are never taken seriously since the change of management at these apartments.

These apartments aren’t that bad, they look good from the outside, from the inside it’s small. My only problem with them is that they DO NOT FIX ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING! They close work orders without fixing them, it can be a safetly hazard and they still wouldn’t fix ! It’s honestly frustrating sometimes

We stayed at these apartments for over two years. We moved out when the COVID virus was first getting serious and my mom did the final clean up herself with my younger brother. They told my mom they were no longer doing the walk through you typically do with a staff before handing your keys in due to the virus.Months later I keep getting persistent calls from two similar numbers, multiple times in a day even. I answer the call and it’s a debt collection agency telling me they are trying to get $764 from me for their client The Life at Westpark. Very confused by this call I’m obviously asking questions; why would I need to pay that and such. The lady from the agency told me; “Well if you had shown up for your last walk through and not missed it, these charges would not be a surprise to you”. I am also informed that if I do not take steps to pay, my credit will be implicated.Apparently they subtracted our security deposit and $764 was the balance left from the bogus fees they drummed up. I’m not even the main person on the lease yet they pinned this on me.Throughout our stay in these apartments they went through more than two management changes. It’s was always very hard to get anything fixed and the AC always broke down in the summer. Once we had water coming into the apartments because they took so long to fix a leak in the apartment next door. Whenever we needed something fixed we’d have to go down to the office and put in a work request 2/3 times. There were also times I’d be back at the office to inquire about my pending work request and they’d tell me it had been marked as completed in the system.Dishonesty seems to be their motto, I do not recommend them at all.

The absolute worst. Customers have been completely devoid of water for virtually a week. They are doing absolutely nothing to repair the affected pipes. Residents are in dire conditions and this management has executed no attempts to mitigating the situation by restoring water to homes.

Currently staying in a hotel due to the 4th water leak in the past maybe 6 months. We had to shut off the water in order for our apartment not to flood again. Put in a request last night for it to be fixed, but apparently its not a priority. Called today to ask if maintenance was coming to fix it, they said they would call me back after they talked to the maintenance people and I never got a call back...They have too many urgent requests. This means they need to improve living conditions in all apartments to have less to fix. Sad..UPDATE: day 2 and they still havent sent anyone to fix the issue.

I find that Park village has really change with having the wrong management team staff working in there office I use to live on the property years ago and they had way better service the manger staff they have now is very rude I decided to come back and move there since my stay of was appreciated once before fr three years residents but after my vistor there The manager.was very rude she did not mk me feel like I was a welcome customer to come back to live on the property fr the first most I had a appointment to look at the apartments and she just left me out side in the cold while she was on the phone and she was not nice at all.with ensuring me that this is the place you want to live again I dont think I will be moving back there anymore The service has change for the worst really not a place of appreciation at all!,

Been living here since May and this is the worst apartment ever. When I first moved in the doors in the master bedroom have holes been saying they were going to fix since I move in and here we are 5 months later guess what the holes are still here! They changed office people and the new ones are rude ! My ac went out and we had too call over 13 times to get a answer they hung up in my face and we’re been very rude ! Hi, I am Ashfaq, we moved on June 30th to this apt. They gave it to us in very bad condition. It was full of roaches, broken locks, broken door, no fire extinguisher, AC not working properly, dirty carpet, broken blinds, etc.From the first day, in one of the bathrooms, water was coming from the exhaust. We have been asking the manager for 3 months, from the first day we came.The water is leaking from the apartment above us. We cannot use this bathroom, but we still have to pay full rent. When I say I will tell the City of Houston for the leakage, the employee said “Ok you can complain. They will not do anything.”The AC is not working properly, so we have a high bill of electricity. The electricity company said we need to check the AC, but when we talked to the manager, she denied the request. Also, my smoke detector never works. We payed rent on time, and the next day they said late fees.The apartment next to me is empty, and they gave them everything new. They did not do that with us. We are very upset. Edit: 1/2/2021 I have still issues with Bathroom,water is leaking from exhaust but the Manager is not fixing permanently,they know that the problem cannot be fixed and the people before us lefties the apartment for the same issue,AC has problem but always they say that we have only one maintenance,Supervisor never reply they don’t care for the residents every issue is still the same they didn’t solve anything. We pay the full amount every month and they don’t fix anything.

I love living at Life at West Park! Valarie is by far one of the best staff members that I have worked with at any apartment complexes. She is very attentive to the process and has been very patient with my elderly mother everytime she calls in with a question. When we put in our application to move here Valerie was very clear about the process and setting up a proper expectation of the approval. She told us what all we needed for the paperwork to get a apartment for my mother by making a checklist and giving us a realistic timeline for the approval based on the income my mother made. I am thankful for her services and I genuinely appreciate all her efforts. Despite of all the problems about rats and roaches (which are almost everywhere in Houston) that are highlighted by others, I would still recommend this property as their staff is very compassionate and considerate with each issue and they make sure all the expectations are met. Please give Valarie a pat on her back for all the hard work she does, I am very happy with the service she has provided.

Beware! Ive been living here since February 2020. I have small children under the age of four. I call the office to discuss my issues with the ac. It hasnt worked since I moved in. Ive called three times. A Leshaya continued to talk over me. She was very rude. An was very annoyed by our conversation. So I never finished stating my issues. A few days later my ceiling was leaking water from my ac unit. Also my guest restroom has been stopped up since I moved in. I keep telling the maintenance man. The issue is in the floor plumbing. An he still scrapes my toilet every time. As he doesnt speak any English. Apartment does have other issues, but those are by far the worst. Yes, its cheaper than a five bedroom home. At the moment Id rather pay the extra hundred dollars in rent, water an maintenance. Than continue to live like this.

I am hopeful of the new management staff at The Life @ Westpark--Valerie was very pleasant and is still in the process of helping me with my application and move in--Thank you--I am soon to be a resident at the location and I am a honest reviewer. I will return to update of my experience, however I want to give the new management staff a chance.One year later review as promised of my return to Google:02/26/2021I completed a review about a year ago on my hopeful improvement of this property. I have waited for a little over a year now to give a fair and updated feedback. I will not recommend this place to anyone at this time ..simply put. My living experience has not been sufficient as other communities are updated, ORGANIZED, and developed management team. I will say the team has been at least trying to get the place turned to some degree however they are not there yet. There is a language barrier for maintenance and it’s absolutely frustrating because I only speak a little Spanish not fluent enough for them to always speak in Spanish no one calls to understand what the real need is they just close tickets as completed..horrible and please don’t waste your time responding that the tickets are just being grouped together because they are still not being worked..I will continue with my yearly review of the property on Google because I am finalizing what I started a year ago. They also are raising my rent...no bueno!!! The property is not up to code or updated for me to want to stay let alone pay more. We had a water shut alert almost every week..I have receipts! Mind you, this was prior to the Houston water issue due to the recent ice storm. Pipes were always broken and not properly fixed if water always had to be cut off...they need help and more development. An improvement would be if the gate gets fixed as they have recently advised so families can feel safe--unsure of how the parking situation will turn out as we will get new parking cards soon. We shall see. This will be my final review as I do not plan on staying for another lease term once this one is over...Kind Thanks and Happy Improvements to the Property and Staff.

The staff is phenomenal each and every time I have went into the office I have been acknowledged and have been served with accuracy and patience by Leslie, and Lashaya took the patience to help me setup with online pay. Leslie walked me through how the ledger works and online pay and how to do everything online. I appreciate her so much. Valerie always says hi and asks me if I would like water. Everytime I leave the office I leave with a feeling of completion from work orders to small everyday life things if I need it they assist me with no hesitation. I appreciate them very much!

100% RECOMMEND if you like slow service and the run around. I was without hot water for 16 days. At first they said it was a leak and will be fixed the next day. 2 days later when I went into the office I was told they will send someone tomorrow . Needless to say that was their usually response. I submitted several work orders online which they just marked as complete without even stepping foot in my apartment. After calling back to back and leaving a review today I was able to speak with someone and even get my hot water fixed. I had the same issue getting a new filter.

That’s all I got to say about living in these apartments.I moved into these apartments 2yrs ago when they were Park village apartments, and not once did I have an issue with office staff or maintenance. Since new management came in like 6 months ago it’s been problem after problem. With not only the office staff, but with maintenance as well. The only positive thing I can say about this complex is that they brought in a new pest control. That has actually decreased the amount of roaches I see on a daily basis, but it’s not doing anything for the mice or other insects.As I stated before since new management has come in the office staff are very RUDE, and unprofessional in the way they treat the tenets. When you come into the office they roll there eyes at you, and act as if they are annoyed that you come into the office. Then when they finally do talk to you it’s like there trying to hurry you along, and over talk you or cut you off mid sentence. It’s even worse If you try to call into the office . They literally just hang up on you.The issue with the maintenance is that you would be better off just fixing whatever issue you have by yourself, because by the time they do show up it’s been a month at least. By then you forgot you evan put in a request.Long story short don’t judge a book by its cover!!!! These apartments may be appealing to the eye, but you will soon find out that they are rotten under the surface. If you can avoid moving here do so...

I stayed at this property a little over 4 years and these are the overall results. I never really had a problem with office staff, Jenny was great! My neighbors was decent, though you would get random people parking their car and smoking weed from time to time, maintenance would sometime lack accomplishing whatever my complaint was, a/c going out was a big problem, and I had a couple weird experience with maintenance entering my home without a work order, which was a concern for a single mom with kids. I moved a month ago because of this one reason and this one reason alone (BUGS) I could no longer take it. Spiders big black spiders, roaches was overwhelming,lizards, insects of unknown, but I myself attempted to call Orkin to come out and do a treatment which I was willing to pay for but they refused because the property had their own pest control, which only made the bugs worse. I think they sprayed water. I really wanted to stay but I can no longer be uncomfortable to that capacity. I really hope they get it together 😔

The management is terrible. i went to the office two days ago to report a kitchen sink that isnt working and they havent come since then to repair it. When my dad called them, they told him no one came to report it which is just ridiculous. Also, roaches are everywhere even when you do your best to keep them away. And of course, safety here can be questioned. I still do not understand why we are not allowed to put certain things in our patio. We are paying the rent, we should be allowed to do as we please

The maintenance dont know how to fix anything, they come almost a month after requested or do half of job n come back 3 weeks later. I have a beehive by my window, i have 3 months of requesting to remove it, every time i call they tell me they are going to put it down for the exterminator to go and remove it, no one ever goes to fix anything . the beehive still there. So basically you are on your own here.

The staff over here is ridiculous, Im just waiting to be done with my lease. The place is infested with roaches and rats, toilets dont work, cabinets break easily, they never give a new carpet... the carpet has mold all over it we told them to wash it at least they always give us dates and never come to wash it NEVER WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE!!!!

I would not recommend for a permanent home. The moment we moved in we started noticing the apartments were poorly put together. But theyre cheap to rent so i kind of expected that. They covered a huge hole behind my fridge with duct tape and thats where the roaches started appearing. Calling the office is a nightmare, there is one there named Angelie (something like that) who loves to place you on hold and then hang up on you after your holding for 10minutes. The parking forget it, good luck if you find something close. Im moving to a home this week so I wont miss the thugs smoking weed in their cars, smh

I’ve placed a work order 8 days ago for my dish washer draining and the disposal draining they are not draining and that it smells a lot then, but they never came yet as it’s not important for them . This means we shouldn’t cook or wash dishes until they come . 😡 At renewals no updates to n the apartments also . The office people are so rude and don’t respect us .

I really dont like this place to be honest, many unknown and mysterious men who dont live here have come to ask if the residents have children. Becareful and keep safe everyone!!! Mouse in my room roaches in kitchen they messed up my hot water

I set an appointment thru Park Villages corporate office which was presented on Apartment guide. I did this despite the reviews on here to get my own feel for the place. Jenny is, of course, who helped me in the office. She was rude which makes the apartments look bad. On top of that she said, you cant have ANY misdemeanors. I told her tickets are misdemeanors. She said, you cant have ANY. Needless to say, I laughed as I walked out. I think once they get better staff in the office, they might get more business. I didnt look into the apartments any further due to her rude attitude. If u dont like ur job pick another profession that doesnt deal with helping people.

The new manager and and staff are suck, they increase rent for no reason but dont care about maintenance in their apartments, you request for maintenance and they never show up, will keep calling every day,they would say apologize for that, we are short of maintenance crew, its not a good excuse, they getting paid their rent on time, and dont care about their residents, a few residents complaint to wilkings management regional manager, but they dont care either, my request to all residents, there is fair housing (DC) complaint phone# in the management office wall, so get that and call on them so can be fixing their problems with their tenants or will get out of the business, its very important to do call and complaint your concerns about these crook people.
