Question. How can an apartment complex charge for cleaning when the unit was clean upon move-out? This is how we left the unit and Im getting a bill for $170 with them stating it had to be cleaned! I live at the place 6 months. For 6 months my thermostat was broken. It would only run on the ON position, never on AUTO. So my bill was always crazy high! For the last 3 months my dishwasher was broken and, although they came to look at it, did not fix it. Water sat in it moldy and mildewy the whole time. And when I asked them for an invoice for the cleaning (the ValCap Group -management co) the rep gegan yelling at me because I said this was BS! I read reviews on this place before I rented and I am so sorry I did not take heed. For 6 months I paid my rent on time EVERY TIME. People seem to be moving out at a fast rate according to what I saw when I was there. So to send me a bill, just a few days ago, and threaten to send it to collections is unprofessional ! I guess places like that dont understand the power of social media! Skylar Pointe Apartments in 77058 zip. Dont do it! Think twice before renting there. If I could give this place a negative rating I would!

I am very happy at this location. So clean and peaceful at night. The workers here work hard to maintain very clean and attentive of resident needs. Thank you Monica for having a great team at your side. When we had the bad weather the maintenance would take rounds to make sure the residents were OK in their vehicles. The lady with hand tattoos in the leasing office was so rude. I was trying to take a tour of a one bedroom and she acted so inconvenienced by my presence. I ended up just leaving because if that’s how they’re going to treat someone trying to take a tour, I can’t imagine how they’d treat their residents.

I needed a place fast, was having a hard time finding a 3 bedroom but finally stumbled upon this place . Duran made some magic happen and I was able to move in faster than given date. He made the process entertaining as hes a funny guy. Definitely the most spacious Ive ever personally lived in.

The new management is awesome! I’ve been here for 5 years and it is finally being managed properly. Upgrades are being made and so timely responses to service issues! Finally!

Elizabeth is amazing, she answered any questions we ever had, she kept us updated throughout the process and made the process quick and easy. Our apartment is beautiful and looks very similar to the one we were shown. These apartments look like they are well take care of.

They seriously make you pay an additional $7 a month for parcel boxes that I don’t use. You pay a pest control fee every month but don’t get the service unless you request it and I requested it 2 weeks ago and still no pest control has come to my apartment. Frequent problems with water in bedroom closet. They patch the problem but don’t actually fix it. Constant turnover of manager office staff. After 3 years they FINALLY fixed the cement cracks and holes in the parking lots. They want you to pay $35 a month for covered parking whereas other apartments provide this free to use. I come home at 5pm and my apartment smells like boiled or rotten egg when no one has been home since 6am and the air is turned Off. Of course they don’t seem concerned and do nothing about it. They say it’s the heater but the ac has been OFF since 6 am. Mostly minor issues but aggravating and upsetting when I pay $900 a month

If I could give them zero stars I would. They approved me for an apartment, took my deposit, then after failing inspection they failed to contact me via phone call, email, etc. After multiple attempts to contact them regarding my deposit, I receive a new excuse each time. Property Manager refuses to call me back. They are holding my deposit hostage and putting no effort into returning it to me. The initial acceptance was in July 2020, and I had to call in November to find out they had reversed the acceptance. All I am asking for is my deposit back. DONT DO BUSINESS SCUM APARTMENTS. My next step is contacting an attorney because I feel taken advantage of.

Edit: I’ve changed my 1-star review to 3-stars because things have been improving. The new manager Elizabeth is so sweet, professional and I can tell she’s really trying to improve the place. The maintenance team has been doing a lot of work on the pool, hot tub, and playground. The pool is finally open!! There’s new mulch on the playground. The hot tub is still barely lukewarm, but it was a swamp for the longest and then it was empty for even longer. So I’m glad they’re finally working on it. My utility bill issue has also been corrected since Elizabeth took over. We still don’t have a gym for the time being due to a fire. If the hot tub gets hotter, and we get a gym, I’ll edit again and give more stars.Original: Office staff is rude and don’t take maintenance requests seriously. They seem to have high turnover but always end up hiring more rude staff. The playground has needed new mulch as long as Ive lived here, but they dont do it. Rusty broken pipes on the playground. Hot tub doesnt work, but the pool area is never open anyway. Now theyve even taken away our gym to use as office space. Of course, were still paying for all those amenities in the rent. I also have to call them every month before I pay rent to take charges off because they are always trying to sneak double charges of my utility bills.

These apartments are horrible. Please take reviews serious. Maintenance is horrible they office staff constantly change so no one never knows what’s going on so communication is always horrible. Horrible roach problem. I got bed bugs from the neighbors reported to office. It took so long for them to handle the issue the situation got worse. The exterminator was tied up I offered to pay and get my own exterminator out and they refused. Which I don’t understand why. My family and I had to stay in an hotel for month. Office showed no rush or concern for the issue. As of today a month later they called talking about late rent. But no one has still yet to handle the bed bug issue. There for I have been out of my apartment going on 2 months since the issue started with my 2 small children and the issue is still on going. Do not rent here. I have been here 3 years as the issues are constantly. Please run from SKYLARPOINT APARTMENTS. An honest review from a tenet who paid my rent and bills on time and bothered none.

Knowing there is no where to park at night and there are a lot of cars on property without parking permits they will tow your car for parking at the office during office hours. Instead of creating a solution to the parking issues (amidst construction) they’re towing people during a pandemic. A lot of people work over night and have little to no time to wake up and move their vehicles. The people in the office are extremely argumentative rather than helpful In assuring problems like these don’t persist. At this point I’m using my influence to remove those in office and file complaints with the Better Business Bureau since speaking to the owners wasn’t an option.

The office caught fire and there was no damages to our unit, they forced my daughter and her husband with their newborn baby out on the streets. No CONSIDERATION for the baby none for the family and now theyre gone and trying to charge them for rent February when they werent there and have been gone. Also trying to charge them termination fee for the lease contract and they were the ones wanting to terminate the contract. So now on top of being homeless with a newborn, and trying to find a new place, my daughter is being threatened to be sent to collections for something she didnt do!! This is the worst apartment complex I have ever seen, and Ive lived in apartments all my life and most of my childrens lives.. not to mention the inconveniences of the parking, so many parking spots for the office and future residents but not enough for the tenants who pay rent there. How coincidental that they stop letting people park there 2 weeks before the fire started and also 4 days before the fire started everything from lamps to computers to lights and TVs left on all week in the office and then oops a fire!! Sounds like they were preparing for a fire then knew was gonna start.. sounds like arson to me. Never ever rent here, very shady people with no consideration for the lives and well-being of their tenants.

I lived here for 2 years and it has not been a good experience. Saying the management is terrible might be an understatement. My unit had terrible mold problems and instead of fixing the issues at the source they clean the mold that is stuck to whatever surface. I was in a 1st floor unit and my upstairs neighbor had a bad water leak causing it to flood my bathroom and closet, upon fixing the leak they did not want to fix the damage the leak caused. They did not want to replace the Sheetrock and said it will be fine now that the leak is fixed?..... I put in my 30day notice and they lost it and had no record of it and tried to charge me for month to month rent thank god I made sure to hold on to the paper work. In the past 2 years I have lived here they have replaced the whole office staff with new people 3 times and the current staff is by far the worst. If you are looking for an apartment to live I recommend you steer clear of this place.

Skylar Pointe has been by far the nicest, and best apartment i have moved into. The staff was so nice and helpful with my move in process as well. Professional and friendly. Everything was a breeze! So happy to call Skylar Pointe home!

I do not recommend these apartments. I feel like the took advantage of me and my boyfriend because this was our first apartments. When we first moved the first issue was the a/c .Then I noticed some mold around my hair basket and mold on the doorstep. And any time we call the office to let them know they we might be late on the bill one persons would tell us they understand they will hold it for us as long as we pay on the day we say we pay and it will be a different thing when I check the app and they have charged us. It no point of going to the front office because they don’t not solve anything. All the car parking situation is so messed up they towed my boyfriends car and when he went to the front office to find out why his car was towed the they told him you have to cal the tow people and find the reason we have to enforce the towing law. It’s just a whole bunch of bs with them. Plus not to mention we have a rat coming to visit every night eating at our bread and kitchen mitten I was so heated .

Ive lived here almost 1 and half years and if I have an issue or something is not working or I messed something up, they are there to help with one phone call. I havent had any issues with the employees at all. There have been questionable residents but the employees cant help that if they were qualified to rent there so its not their fault. all in all I love my apartment and I love my community. My closest neighbors and I are like a little family. Its amazing!

The staff is so unprofessional. They approved my boyfriend for an apartment back in July 2020. They kept giving him the runaround then finally in November they told him they took back his approval and denied him after failing inspection. They STILL will not return his deposit. We have called so many times and they keep giving us new excuses. Now the office burned down so they won’t even answer the phone. Worst office staff I have ever experienced.

This is the most unprofessional place I’ve ever stayed at, I can’t wait until my lease is up. These people are extremely unprofessional and don’t know how to respectfully communicate. They get mad if you ask them to do anything. Irene if that really is her name was so ugly to me and my daughter and needs to be fired for her poor behavior. I’ve tried getting in contact with corporate but I’m having a really hard time. I will unfortunately finish my lease and we will be gone.I will make it a point to report this poor management to the bbb and whomever else I can to make sure the poor customer service and unprofessionalism is known. If you are thinking of moving here please don’t save yourself time, a headache, and trouble!

I hardly ever do reviews but I had to this time because Ive worked in customer service & was just blown away by the office staff in this property. Kaysie went above and beyond answering my questions, giving me amounts & explanations for charges. One can truly tell when a person cares about their job or when theyre there for a paycheck & Kaysie definitely cares about her residents!

Take a very long time to respond to maintenance requests if ever. Have many things left unfixed. We are essentially held hostage by gates that are welded shut. No access or exit except by car. Kids cannot walk in and out. Only one escape route in case of fire. The office burned down, maybe by arson maybe by electrical. Either way. You’re not safe here!!!!

The management office has always maintained a level of professional behavior. I pay my rent on time with no disturbances to report. My apartment has had service issues but those have been resolved. The price I pay is always very reasonable. Every type of business I need is close by. Even though the location to my job is far, I am happy I moved here.

This place is infested with ants, office staff is terrible. Our AC has been out for two days July 30 and 31st. Not to mention they signed a new lease with us (after we put in a 60 day notice) then all the sudden a week later they are saying they Will no longer honor our binding contract. Meanwhile we’re stuck in an apartment $459 more a month than the one bedroom that we have a signed lease for, so they’re saying we have a balance due, nope we sure don’t. Don’t move here. Terrible and very rude people. I can’t wait until they take us to court. The judge will slam them for giving us 0 notice about them canceling a binding contract. Not to mention the leak that went in for a week where I slipped and fell which will be a counter suit. It’s in their best interest to let us out of here before I sue them for the issues they were aware of for two weeks. Sincerely, a very mad tenant.

Poor communication. Gates never work. Ive gotten locked out and even in so many timesupchargess. water barely works. Roaches. Honestly I needed a place in a rush but def do not recommend. From neighbors and even have had Uber drivers that used to live here and everyones recommend me to get out asap.

Cheap rent, bad apartments. The interior resembles a motel room. Lighting is poor. The front desk clerk was okay.

Overall I dont mind the apartment complex. Only a few issues.1. Our apartment was not complete upon moving in (wires exposed in our bedroom on our ceiling fan...the exposed wires should be attached to the the light fixture which after 3 years of living here is still not there). Once we realized no one was coming to fix it, we bought a lamp and a fan.2. Parking. We pay for covered parking which is great, except people seem to think they can park there whenever theyd like. Not cool.3. April of this year, our oven broke. We could use the stove top, but not the oven. It took over a month for them to come look at it (since it wasnt considered an emergency). Finally fixed the coil. Someone came back in July to look at it again and told my husband they were ordering us a new one. Its now December and still have the old oven.4. The office management has changed 3-4 times in the 3 years weve lived here, so we never know who were dealing with and I dont think our issues are getting passed along from previous management.Positive:We live on the left side of the complex in front of the creek. So we get to see all sorts of wildlife (deer, alligators, various birds, ducks, etc.). Very cool! Its zoned to (in my opinion) one of the best elementary schools in CCISD, Armand Bayou Elementary. HEB is near by and if youd rather shop at Kroger or Aldis, theyre not much further.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I was completely deceived by this apartment complex. Yes I knew they were older. When I first came in to inquire an Elizabeth helped me. Well I thought she was helping. I explained my situation to her letting her know I was new to the area due to a new job. Also stating that my family and I were staying in a hotel and my urgency to move in quickly if possible. To which she said it WAS possible. After being told 3 different move in dates and 3 different units all of which I hadnt even seen. She always told me the manager wasnt in. Fast forward a couple weeks I went into office myself mind you this was all over phone due to my work schedule. The day I went in the manager was there I explained the whole situation to her and she said she had no knowledge of any of it. The manger told me a move in date and showed me a unit. Thank God I was able to get my family out of a hotel. She also switched me from Elizabeth to a Lupita which she has been very nice and professional since move in. Ok so we move in. The tubs are clearly just painted over as to put a band aid on a leak at the Hoover Dam. Its been a few weeks now since initial move in and paint is chipping off in big sections. The amount of roaches is alarming. Not ONCE has anyone come to spray let alone I am being charged for a pest control fee. They came recently to do an inspection and I have yet to hear if anything was actually done or found wrong. Which in my daughters bathroom theres water coming up from the flooring. Thr water from kitchen sink and tub faucets initially when turned on the water is brownish orange. Again the ROACHES. Theyre tiny ones and smallish ones. Im not sure how much space I have on this review to even get started talking about the MOLD!!! I urge anyone looking for a place to call home please steer clear of this complete and utter health code violation of a complex. -current tenant

Skylar pointe is a terrible place to rent from . The Assistant manager CC is very rude . I have been living here 2 1/2 almost 3 years and they have changed management 4 times . These people are ruthless during tough times . They try and get every dime of money from you that they can outside of your rent . It’s like they just come up with fees . I was also told when I renewed my lease last year that I had no deposit . And I know for a fact I had paid one. They get you by saying bring the receipt, and if you don’t have that you will not receive a deposit back after leaving those horrible apartments . They are very unprofessional and they like to argue with residents. Even when they are wrong . Even when you are asking them about charges on your account that you have to pay . They act as if it’s coming out of there pocket . Bottom line corporate needs to be in contact with these managers, and their needs to be a open line for tenants to contact corporate, Or a lot of law suits will be filed . I have already got in contact with the better business bureau .

Worst place I’ve ever lived in my entire life. After moving in I realized that place is full of roaches. I complained but first time the pest control came only after a month! Every week I called to the office. But the apt is still full of roaches. The management is rude and don’t want to do anything to solve problems. Horrible experience

I received a lease renewal letter a few months ago when my lease was not expired.. now that it is actually time to renew my lease I havent got any notifications and no one is answering in the office. I feel like the manager is purposefully withholding my lease renewal papers(in an attempt to evict me for non payment) because shes upset I file complaints through corporate in regards to her attitude and lack of professionalism, as well as her rude staff (not including new workers)She has threatened to evict me before without cause

Make sure you keep copies of ALL your documents and payments with these people! You will be ACCUSED of not paying things that you have already paid for.

VERY POORLY managed. And overpriced for what they are. The management tried to preform a very unsuccessful Bait and switch tactic. By luring us in with a bargain. Then lying directly to our faces about the price we were quoted. They then lied to us about refunding our application fee. And started ignoring our calls. The prices online are falsely advertised. And After taking our business elsewhere (quite successfully) I received a text message from the leasing office that was CLEARLY meant for someone else. These people DO NOT care about you, they’re only after your money. So if you like throwing it away. This is the place for you. To anyone who is stressing about a place to live. keep looking! There are much better places than this.

Lived there for a year, and moved from there last August. For the refund I had to call them litterally evry week and today (10/20/2020) again when called and I was told that there is no deposit and there is a additional charges around 220 and 3 months water bill. I told them I was paying the bill and rent regularly and when I handed over the keys I asked the office people Id there any pending payment and told me that they will get back to me in 3 weeks. Now after 3 months they r saying I owe them around $400. Believe me it is a pathetic service and I think the owners doesnt mind because they are getting their money.

I was a resident at this complex a long time. When I moved out I got charged for a water utility bill that was backlogged 3months. I was told to pay $211 dollars. I know thats bs because my monthly utility bill was 54 dollars. Then I was charged for a cleanup fee of $191. Then I was told I didnt have a deposit and I never put anything down. When I tried to speak to the manager she told me to talk to her assistant.

I’ve lived here since June and I am so happy that I picked this place to live. The property is well kept and the landscaping is very well maintained and looks great when you glance out of the window. The location of the complex is a short distance to NASA Space Center, Kehma Beach and absolutely every food option you can think of. The maintenance staff is very friendly and one issue I had was taken care of in a timely manor. The apartment I have is very spacious with new carpet and updates appliances. My neighbors are nice and quiet as well. The office staff is very accommodating and personable. I highly recommend this complex to anyone!

I moved here in June of 2019 and I have not had any issues thus far. My fiancé and I have a renovated unit with stainless steel appliances, as well as washer and dryer connections in unit. The pool is lovely, and the grounds are well kept!

Please, please, please. DO yourself a favor and a blessing and STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! The front office is BY FAR, the absolute worst. Out of all the places I’ve stayed, I’ve never experience anything so terrible. The office is rude, unhelpful, has no care in the world about their tenants, won’t return your calls, and forget about getting maintenance out to fix anything.Those other who posts about the office being so nice, it’s a lie. And maintenance is awful. Gross and dirty grounds. It doesn’t help that the people living here don’t care about the appearance either. But there’s constantly litter all over the place. Drug deals between neighbors. Cars pull up inside, people get in and 2 min later they get out and the car leaves.I’ve called about neighbors smoking inside their apartment, and it works it’s way to my apartment, and they do nothing about it. Kids smoking weed on the steps. Playing loud music all hours of the day. Now they are charging $25 per parking spot!! Who does that!? Stay away. I promise, you aren’t missing anything. Can’t wait to finish out this lease and move far, far, away.

Good grief. I literally thought this place could not get any worse. And then it does. Lets start with how terrible of a job the management does of taking care of its valued customers. Its awful. They avoid you at all costs, good luck getting a hold of them via phone or email. They constantly lose your paperwork, renters insurance, and other information. They send you notices about how youll get charged a fee if you dont turn it in, because THEY misplaced it.The property is constantly littered with garbage. Its sad that other renters cant throw their their trash in the garbage can. But no one comes to pick it up. Kids are smoking weed and selling drugs in broad day light. And now, they want to charge us $25 per parking spot. There are several GIANT holes in the middle of the roads that have been there since we moved in 3 years ago. And worst part of all, the gate thats supposed to be functional. Its constantly broken, and half the time wide open. Its not a feature, its a down fall.Please save yourself and take this review to heart. Do no do it.

I lived at Skylar Pointe for 3 years and would still be there if my job didnt transfer. The office staff is wonderful and very helpful. The maintenance staff went above and beyond to take care of our family. If you are looking for a very family friendly apartment community in a great school zone. I highly recommend Skylar!! Thank for 3 great years!! Going to miss Texas.

Dishonest and terrible. They offered us one price for a unit, so we put down a down deposit and paid the admin fee. A week or so before we were supposed to move in they told us they could not honor their initial price for the unit. We asked for our money back and still have not received it, Ive called multiple times, showed up at the apartments, emailed their head offices, and still nothing. It has a been a year! I avoid them at all costs.

YURI is amazing and the office team is absolutely awesome I have had a couple issues and they were able to get them taken care of immediately and effectively. They have been extremely genuine up to this point and made every effort to do whatever they can to help and address all issues across the board. I have actually been heard and responded to not just one or the other. I have seen slow but never the less major improvement and greatly enjoy coming home knowing that it is very much so just that home thank you very much Skyler pointe for all you do

Work orders NEVER get fixed.....people fire their guns in the back of the apartments and yesterday our neighbor got their apartment broken into. Trash...All the positive reviews are because the apartments gave like $15 off their rent.

I called in an emergency maintenance request as my overflow water pan from the ac unit was flowing over to about an inch of water on my bathroom floor this past Saturday afternoon at 2:30 the assistant manager Cici informed me that it wasn’t an emergency and then proceeded to tell me to turn off the ac. It had been off for two days EVERYTIME I have had an issue it’s been with cici the rent changes drastically every month my lease agreement with additional charges should be about $850 ballpark it constantly changes the New ownership Valcap never responds to anything yet they don’t send out water bills for three months and have no accountability as well as the office staff assistant manager. The remainder of the staff is at least willing to attempt to help, the other four maintenance employees at the property were down stairs in the apartment below and informed me that I needed to call after hours emergency request two hours later when the office was closed to get the maintenance necessary this is ridiculous and caused mold. Twelve towels later the water was picked up and three days later not even so much as a single word phone call or maintenance person in sight it’s extremely ridiculous that with everything going on you’re expected to sit four days with an inch + of water in your restroom guess I should be like my neighbors and pee on my balcony there isn’t any accountability held for anything here just saying think wisely before you lock yourself into a 13 month lease

The skylar points apartaments complex is a nice clean safe place which i can recommend the administrative part is very friendly and attentive to solve the needs of the tenants, the apartments have everything necessary the lease is affordable for all.

My experience has absolutely great. Office staff most certainly works to help tenants. Very quiet and friendly place to live.

I really like living here at Skylar Pointe Apartments because it is a really beautiful complex and also because I have never had a problem in the time I have been living here.

Do not move here!!! The manager is a joke and doesn’t know the law regarding her job. This was a horrendous experience from the very beginning. We did not get the original unit we were shown, we moved into a filthy unit with paint everywhere, & it wasn’t “ready” until a week past our move in date. Nothing ever got fixed by maintenance, properly. There’s mold, that I’m sure has made my family sick!!! The office (Kacey) was aware of us moving. She illegally locked us out!!! When she realized we knew the law, gave us keys back (after being rude and degrading)... we discovered that maintenance robbed us. My family member confronted Luis (maintenance guy about some items). He returned some other random items that had been packed away! We didn’t even know they were missing!!! We returned the next day, and there was a golf cart in front of the apartment. We went it and the person ran out the other door. The apartment looked like a tornado hit it. Everything was open. Everything that was packed had been randomly thrown around & many of our things were stolen (dishes, Xbox, shoes, clothing, laundry baskets, children’s games, backpacks, etc). They even stole my glasses and contacts. The owner needs to replace all these people if he cares about the health and safety of his residents.

From maintenance issues to the unprofessional and completely UNRELIABLE office staff, just take the advice of the reviews and do NOT move here. The office has the highest turnover rate, so whoever you speak with about your concerns with your apartment the first time?? Theres absolutely no guarantee they will be there when you try again. And believe me, you will be trying multiple times to resolve your issues.Also, lets address the superficial updates they do to the apartments. The laundry room outside of my unit has had SEVERAL machines down for a long time, maintenance wont even post a common courtesy out of order note on the machines, but the office will sure hire someone to repaint the facilities???? Nice. Really dont appreciate wasting my money, but goodness dont the new colors look so pretty!!!! 🙄🙄And lets also talk about how many times the mail rooms have been broken into. Thankfully, Ive never had anyone steal my mail, but the office staff have completely ignored multiple complaints about inadequate security, lighting, and the broken boxes that have been sitting there for OVER six months now.Dont even get me started on the parking situation. Not only are there inadequate spaces for PAYING tenants, but they also charge an extra 25 dollars a month for them to spray paint reserved over the spot and then you STILL have people/guests who park there. And the staff does nothing about it, but theyll sure take your money though.Also the playground is rusted and has broken parts that have been that way for several months now, not to mention wasp nests.I wonder why rent keeps going up every year and yet they dont update the legitimate concerns of their tenants. Must be going in their own pockets I guess. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️Take the advice of the MULTIPLE one star reviews and do not move in here. Take note, just because the one star reviews say six or seven months ago, rest assured that the new staff are just as lackluster and useless as the ones before them. I cant wait until my lease is up.

Only drove here to pick up my daughter from her moms but they seemed like nice apartments besides the fact that the gates are far apart from being able to exit and enter and that is very annoying especially if youre doing it on a daily basis I cant imagine living here for that reason but they did look like decent apartments. They were also some people who damaged my daughters mothers car because she accidentally parked in their spot which was one over

I’ve been here 3 years. 1st they took my parking place away without any notice. It was a underhanded change in the lease agreement. Then I’m charged for Pest Control every month and I’m eat up with roaches. Because there is no Pest Service happening here. The outside line clogged on a weekend and I could not get anyone to come. They said it wasn’t an emergency and someone would come Monday. A week later and my apartment is covered with sewage water. At that time my dishwasher quit. I’ve tried 6 or 7 times to get it fixed. That was 6 WEEKS ago! Still not fixed. I was also charged $15 for a key fob for the front gate Mid Lease? The front gate is always open because it’s broken and they won’t fix it. I’m moving.

Oh this place... If I could give it zero stars I would. Whatever you do, dont move here. The place is going downhill so quickly, and the management doesnt care about anything except getting their money. Security gates are a joke (someone actually removed the lock on a gate and it has been that way for almost a year). Parking is a disaster and they keep making it worse by removing spaces. We cant leave the complex past 5pm or well never find a parking space when we get back. Other tenants are shady as all get out. There are always random people and cars flying through the parking lot with no regard for people. We have had to deal with bed bugs on two occasions, and roaches are a normal thing around here. The maintenance crew has gone 5 months at one point without replacing dog bags. Maintenance has come into our apartment without notifying us. Random townies come in and use the pool and they do nothing about it. The workout room has been closed for 3 months with no explanation. There is no justification for the spike in rent. You want me to keep going? Because I can. Were out of here ASAP. I dont know how we lasted 2 years. Stay away.

Only came by to take a tour. We arrived at 1 pm, there was a sign that said they would be back at 1. There was an employee waiting outside who didn’t have keys for some reason. 15 min later another employee arrived and opened the door and went back into her car. The people ahead of us were looking for an apartment as well and were told that she had to wait for the girl that was in her car to come in. Meanwhile the one in the car was still in the car with some guy while there is an office full of people waiting.. by this time it is 30 min since we arrived and have yet to be acknowledged. Finally 2 other girls walked in, rude and didn’t even bother to offer any apologies at all. I cannot believe the lack of customer service for Prospective residents. I can see why all the bad reviews. It is evident that the people in this office do not care. Needless to say, I walked out without anyone even noticing.

I have only been living here since June 1st and i so far love the place!! We have had no problems with anything like we used to like at our other place. They have great communication and great customer service, Thank you!

Manager Kayce and office staff have been awesome and made moving in pleasant .My apartment is roomy and complex is quite.They have activities for the community to participate in and keep up with the property and landscaping. Trash is continuously picked up which is nice because it is a large apartment complex. Maintenance does take some time to do repairs but since the apartment complex is being remodeled it does take time.

Cheap price for rent but no service at all. Sewage problems ever since Ive moved in. Only keep staying here to save money to buy a house cant wait to get out.I would suggest finding another cheap place to live. Also been here for 2 years and now the office wants to charge for parking.

I have lived here for almost 4 years. The last two years have been good. The office staff was pleasant, and got things done. Maintenance came when needed, fixed things, and cleaned up after themselves. Then a new person (not a company, as I understand) purchased the complex. The office is now difficult to deal with, the staff there does not know each others name, which makes it difficult for me to address anyone. They are doing some updating on the outside of the building, but right now its just a mess. My lease says I need to tell the office 60 days out from the end of my contract if I am leaving or staying. Its 5 days now to that date, and I still have not gotten a notice of what my rent will increase to. Someone in the office, (the other person did not know her name) told me that if they dont get me a rent update by Sunday, then I can let them know within 30 days. That is not what my signed lease says, and I have no idea who to even quote as to who told me this. I would not recommend this complex to anyone.

MY WIFE AND I WERE ROBBED AT GUNPOINT HERE. 5ft from our front door. The gates never work, which is how the 3 men who robbed me got into this hell hole. So we had to move away because these robbers knew our car and apartment number, and even stole my key to my apartment door and car. After giving management the police reports, written documents from the PD, we told them that we felt our lives were in danger so it is our right to move away. They didnt give a damn and charged us $3000. We are taking them to court soon. They do construction all the time. Truly one of the worst complexes to ever live at. This apartment has shafted me so many times. From towing my car in unassigned parking spots to adding unseen fees to my bill. Management (if you can call them that) doesnt even know what managing an apartment means. I hope no one goes through what I did here.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, I MOVED IN SKYLAR PONITE APARTMENT IN MARCH OF THIS YEAR. WORDS CANT EXPLAIN HOW THE LADIES IN THE OFFICE ARE SO SPECIAL. I HAVENT HAD ONE PROBLEM WITH THEM. THEY GO OUT THERE WAY TO SATISFIED EVERYONE. MR. Silva, ZURI, CARLA, Yuri ARE THE BEST

I have lived at Skylar Pointe for going on 2 years. I have no issues with getting maintenance request completed. I love my apartment manager Kayce, she is always so helpful, understanding and considerate. The leasing staff is very personable and professional. I highly recommend Skylar Pointe Apartments.

This place does not even deserve a one star. Really do not like being a negative person and usually do not complain a lot BUT I have to voice my opinion in hopes to save people from this place... from the time I applied I had nothing but issues with this apartment. First they gave me a transfer apartment so they had to give me another apartment which I had to wait 2 weeks for it to be ready. The day of move in they were still not 100% done with my apartment. it was just ongoing problems with the apartment unit and within the management.Management/staff seem to never remember what they say or ever on the same page. Owner stated he has no heart.Failed to complete all maintenance request for the 6 months i was there.There was mold/mildew in vents at time of move in and requested multiple times that to be cleaned due to health conditions. this was never cleaned nor treated. Mold/Mildew is currently still there. Health hazard.Incident that happened when paint was poured down drain from make ready that was being done in upstairs apartment. Exposed paint busted through my wet bar sink in living room flooding of paint all over apartment floor. Next day they poured paint thinner down drains which caused my apartment to be fumigated of the chemicals. As a result of not offering a fan of some sort to circulate fumes out, compensate a stay at hotel or offered no solution at all, my son got admitted into ICU for breathing problems for 4 days after the fact that I contacted office and stated that my son cannot be exposed to such chemicals. Which I have two letters from ICU doctor and his doctor stating that it was a serious matter. (they might think its a joke like the rest of the stuff and people they take advantage of but I dont). I recently just moved out and has been the best decision. the process of trying to rent here is ridiculous and professionalism is horrible.

I have been happy living here for the time i have been here so far. Very fine property and the staff is helpful. I like that maintenance can be called and they get right out to the apt to fix the problem, even after hours. I would recommend it.

Dont come here you will regret it and be unhappy through out your whole lease. Everyone that lives here now wish they could just leave but unfortunately we want to keep our reputation we stay. Find someone else to live. Its a nice neighborhood but the apartments complex is not worth your money or time.

If I could give this a negative rating I would. My family moved to Texas from Ohio and found this place. They gave us the run around and continued to push back our move in date. When we finally received our keys the apartment was still dirty and infested with ants and roaches. The apartment staff were rude and disrespectful and didn’t care that I had s 2 year old. The pool was never cleaned nor the gym. Someone committed suicide in the gym and they never closed the gym down. After living there for a few months it became overcrowded. They refused to do maintenance and started to charge a fee to park in front of your home Beware of this place, it’s pretty on the outside AND THAT IS ALL!

The area is perfect. Everything you need is all 5 minutes away.. the community is nice and friendly. Staff is polite and responsive. Only thing they can improve on is their maintanance response time. Besides that, 5 stars.

I moved into my apartment in May. I inexplicably got violently ill every single day, my asthma was so bad Id wake up in the night gasping, and thought several times I might have had bronchitis or the flu. I tested the mold all over the apartment and confirmed it was toxic. Management swept it under the rug and I moved out since I physically couldnt live there. Other tenants had the same problem. As of now, Ive been told that theres no record of my time living at Skylar Pointe. I still get contacted by other residents complaining about the mold issue. Paint cant fix everything.

Office staff is rude. I called with a few simple questions and instead of answering me they hung up. I tried again because I thought we disconnected but they saw my number, picked up the phone, and hung up. It did not go to voicemail so I know they didnt just miss the call. Very unprofessional and rude. My opinion? Go elsewhere.

Did you ever want a place with roaches to do science upon, but couldnt afford any? They come included, at no additional cost! My research in anti-insect chemical warfare has never been closer to completion. Soon, I will be able to develop military grade pesticides, suitable for clearing out 200 square foot rooms of roaches of diameters approaching 2 to 3 inches.Do you like feeling the wrath of the midday Texas sun? Say no more! This complex is devoid of working air conditioning, saving you the trouble* of even wondering whether or not your air conditioning is working! (Does require air conditioning payments)*Side effects may include hallucinationsUhm, the lady at the front is sweet. The maintenance guys are cheery and do their best with... no inventory of parts.
