Unfortunately, we’ve had a terrible time during Labor Day weekend with a Xanadu villa. The unit was disgusting. We didn’t even feel comfortable sitting or walking without socks at all times. We ended up cleaning it ourselves because we had an infant with us! We paid a good amount of the weekend and had our family together, which hasn’t happened in years. It was a shame to have an experience like this after all the positive reviews we saw coming into the location. Would not recommend.

STAY AWAYWe were to check in today (Memorial Day Weekend) and we got a text message at midnight stating the AC was busted and they are unable to accommodate us. Just a text stating that. I text back asking for help to find another condo and did not get a reply. I called numerous times and no pick up. Using all the booking internet sites quickly to find out there is absolutely no availability in Hilton Head for the weekend. 13 hours later and they still have not refunded our money.

Amazingly clean room we did some awesome fishing on the beach pool. If your looking for calm relaxing chill place this is it

Stayed in 6C it was ok, floors were not very clean, and it was next to the trash room for the 2nd floor so that is what you smell as soon as you exit the room...a few things in the room need repairs, lamps, light switches, small things. Shower and air conditioning worked well. Not much of a view but beach access was not far. A few extra towels and wash cloths would have been nice. 3 towel/wash cloths for a family of 4 for a 2 day stay...

Building must have been built long before I was born. Xanadu 12B Review: Very dated villa and in need of total renovations. You can tell that the owners milk this place for profit. If you miss your rocking chairs, just sit down on 2 of the toilets rocking away from the wall. Very cheap appliances and dated. Wi-fi weak, cable not working on some tvs. Baseboards filthy, leftover skittles under couch cushions if you are hungry, leftover chips under bed from previous visitors, mold on shower curtains. Bring quarters if you want to do laundry. Only 1 key fob to enter gate, access codes didnt work. Pluses - near beach and pool. One of the bathrooms has been renovated in the past 5 years. We enjoyed our family vacation in spite of the accomodations.

Well cared for property. Visited in October. Pool was quiet. Enjoyed playing tennis and were the only two people on the two courts. Just across the street from the beach and about half a mile walk from a nice area of restaurants. Ample parking for guests the time of year we were there.

A little dingy and dated. Too far from the beach and no private access.

We came late at night due to traffic and weather. This made checking in a bit confusing. But after that was taken care of we couldnt complain. Well taken care of. More amenities provided than we expected. Would come back again without a doubt.

Lived in the complex for three months this summer May 12th- August 4th. I want to start off this post saying I loved the man who we rented from. He was very accommodating and helpful, but he lives in Texas and the small details are handled by the property manager Fred. I only had THREE runs in with the man and everytime was so unpleasant it would never be worth to stay there for a week. The first time was when we tried to get our keys and it was the day we drove 9 hours. He REFUSED to help us get the keys and we sat outside for three hours until we could get in touch with the property owner in Texas. The next time is when our toliet broke and started spewing water and other particles everywhere. Frantically I called the property manager for sure he would help. Well boy was I wrong, he made me feel so ignorant and asked what I wanted him to do about it... call a plumber? I’m sorry if my only job is to manage a property and one of my places is flooding with toliet water I would think my natural response would be to help the people renting my apartment that have no idea any of the companies to call because they are from NINE hours away. We called our landlord who said he was concerned the property manager did nothing and he was having to call him from Texas to basically tell him to do his job. The last run in was what really put me over the edge. He called us the day before and asked that we leave the place as clean as possible since someone was renting it the next day. We spent the next day deep cleaning the place, sweeping, mopping, cleaning rugs, cleaning the windows, and wiping the shower and toilets down. He also told us to be out by 9:30am which sounded reasonable. My roommate heard him tell me this time and I even wrote it down. But the next day we are woken up to a cleaning lady at our house who insists he told her 8:30am. She calls him and he starts screaming it’s been that way for years. I guess he expected me to just take him screaming at me, but I think he forget his job is to make the stay as easy as possible but instead he made it truly awful single handily. I suggest they get someone better to run the place if he thinks he can speak to customers like his children and expect them to do his job for them.

We traveled to Hilton Head SC on June 16th 2017 to go to a wedding. We booked the D2 Xandu villa in forest beach SC for June 16th-June 19th. We had a late arrival due to flying in to Myrtle beach international renting a car and driving to Hilton head. Upon arrival I went to the bathroom after a long car ride, my husband walked around the kitchen and living room during this time. My husband then went into the bathroom and I was walking around in the living room. My husband had tennis shoes and shorts on and I had long yoga pants and socks on when walking in the living room. My husband called me into the bathroom saying he found a small bug. I brought a bag in that I used to fly my toiletries and put in in the bag on a small white piece of toilet paper. We googled bed bugs and the bug was IDENTICAL to a bed bug. There were other bugs under the mattress aswell. We gathered our things and drove everything to the hilton head hospital.They confirmed it was a bed bug. I attempted to reach the property manager number posted in the building, I then attempted to reach the property manager in my email from home away with no reply as it was late at night. I emailed him the above facts. We then proceeded to call 5 different hotels on the island who all had no rooms. We finally drove back to the Xandu villas condo to double check our things were all removed and took the laundry soap since all the other sites said washing and drying on high heat for 30 minutes would kill them. We plastic bagged all of our things. We checked both of the hotels around the Xandu villasthe first one had a room for 219$ a night. We drove back behind the villas to the Best Western ocean breeze inn. The manager Paula was extremely nice and understanding and stated we were the Second group of people that night to come there saying they needed out of the villa and due to that gave us a room for a great price, the best western was very clean. The property manager Steve Ryan emailed us the next morning and met us outside of our Best Western hotel. He stated he could put us in another villa. Uh no! I stated we wouldnt set foot back on the villa property again. He stated he had to have it verified I offered to show him the bed bug I had in the plastic bag in our car saved, he said no Im not disputing you I just need to get it verified. And also asked for our reciept from the stay at the best western that night and stated he would pay for the stay that night. I am now home from vacation and have an email saying we overreacted and that we will not be getting any of our money back except the 100 dollar refundable damage deposit. I am livid and desgusted. I have photos of the bug and blood streaks on the mattress. He says he had an exterminator come in and there is a letter from him saying there is no signs of bed bugs. I have contacted Home Away about the matter as well. Our vacation was destroyed and we now are going to be behind on money. Dont stay here. Tell your friends. There is also a rash all over both of my legs which has not been diagnosed by a physician I am not 100 percent sure if it is from being bitten or just stress from being up till 5 am washing all of our clothes at a hotel and showering when we had a wedding the next day.
