Captain Dave was awesome. Couldnt of asked for a better first time experience. Dave knew exactly how to keep the fish hitting the bait. Caught close to 15 sharks in 4 hours. Even let my 6 year old help him steer through the no wake zone. The dude will treat you like he has known you his whole life. Highly recommend mighty mako. Thanks Captain Dave for the highlight of our vacation.

Had a fishing trip planned for 12:30. Captian Dave called the morning of at 8:15 and wanted us on the boat at 9:30. All we caught was few shark and very small bait fish. Would not recommend. Not to mentioned we stayed in one spot.

Captain Dave is the man. We had an incredible trip with our kids; he’s a great guy, and fun to talk to even when the fish aren’t biting. I’ve done two trips with him and both times we’ve caught great fish before getting back to the dock. Cannot recommend enough

My son and I went out with Captain Dave and had a fantastic experience. The fishing was tough but he made the most of it and did everything he could to get us on the fish. Captain Dave went out of his way to make sure my 7 year old had a great time and got him on to a sweet spot and landed some great fish. We all left smiling and will definitely go back out with Mighty Mako when we come back.

Captain Dave was awesome my sons were very busy on the water cant count how many fish we caught overall, but it was plenty. Also caught a few sharks a small hammerhead and two pretty big stingrays. Highly reccomend. Very impressed . We definitly plan on booking again in the future.

Took my 8 yr old daughter boat fishing for the first time. Capt. Dave made it super fun! We caught stingrays, a hammer head shark and “whities” but best was the dolphin swimming alongside the Mighty Mako. Great memories made for my family. Thanks Capt. Dave

I met Captain Dave at Palmetto Bay Marina a few years back. He said catching saltwater fish was nothing like the pan fish I had been catching back in Wisconsin. We went out the next day. And BOY!! was he right. Every time I come South, I get in a fishing trip with Dave aboard the Mighty Mako. Over the years I have become good friends with Dave. He seems to know everyone, and everyone knows Capt. Dave. The time I have spent aboard the Mighty Mako has always been both the most relaxing and exciting part of my trips. Absolutely wonderful! As someone who has basically no experience with fishing, I was nervous about how it would go. Dave was FANTASTIC! Very knowledgeable about fishing and the area, and you could really tell that he loves what he does. We had an amazing day and I am planning another trip to HHI just to go fishing again with Dave! I make it a point to fish with Captain Dave aboard the Mighty Mako every time I go to HHI. Not only is he an outstanding fisherman with great knowledge of the local waters (Weve even won a couple Tournaments together!) but he is just plain awesome to spend time with. Laid back and funny...Kids absolutely have a blast with Dave. The boat is great, always spotless and a dry, comfortable ride!Always makes fantastic memories for the entire family...Cant be beat anywhere on HHI for the money. Remember to Take a kid Fishing!

Capn Dave is the best! I have fished with him several times and I have enjoyed every trip. We have caught Red Fish, Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, Blue fish and of course sharks. He has incredible knowledge about each species and I have learned something every time. Dave is always honest about his trip expectations but always finds something to pull on the other end of the line. The Mako is well maintained and Dave is very professional. He always has a great salty story to pass the time inbetween bites. I cant wait for my next trip down to Hilton Head and aboard the Mighty Mako!

We first fished with Capt Dave in 2000. We have since fished with him every year on our vacation to Hilton Head. We have caught everything from large tiger sharks to reds to spadefish to ladyfish. Capt Dave wont BS you; he tells you when the fishing isnt so great and there have been a few trips over the years where we didnt score but we ALWAYS had a great time because Dave makes it enjoyable. Hes attentive to kids and always goes the extra mile to hook up. Great boat to take your family out on.

Awesome trip! Dave really knows what he is doing when it comes to fishing, but even more of a pleasure to be onboard with.
