The gym has everything I need. Full court, free weights, machines on both floors, pool and sauna. However if a machine breaks down don’t expect it to be fixed for months, and currently the sauna is down, so imagine this will be down for quite some time as well. In addition they are constantly out of paper towels to clean the machines, wash hands and toilet paper is constantly empty as well. This place could be a lot better with just a little more care.

Christian and Sarah are the best trainers. I’ve been doing the group training classes for about a month now and I feel a difference already. We work hard, laugh and sweat all at the same time. Highly recommended!

For my very first time going I absolutely loved it its definitely a place where I know I can get my weight goal reached

The price is good, but the equipment and space is below par. There are only 2 squat racks and 2 normal benches which causes a lot of congestion. There have also been multiple occasions where the opener didn’t show so I was unable to workout in the morning

Location is very nice though it is too packed on the ground floor and very spacious on the second.

As much money as I pay to come here for as long as I have, this facility can afford some new machines. It doesn’t help that some are not useful bc of social distancing. I spend more time looking for a functional machine than working out. When you find that machine, expect it to be filthy.

Ive been at this location for four years. Awesome facility, but unfortunately it is ruined by the joke of a sales staff. They care far more about commission checks than providing help to customers. I had a free three month pass for a friends and family that I was trying to use for my girlfriend, and sales associate Bryan Ansel was trying to figure out how to input the code to do this. He supplied us with a two week pass while he asked his GM and VP of Operations. Every day we would come in and hear that they havent given him an answer on how to do this, etc. etc. He tried having us pay for a membership for her then having it refunded, along with trying to pitch for memberships at the time. I told him we just wanted to use the three month pass that I was given for her.About two weeks further (four weeks in total), I called the sales manager Lance at the LA fitness in Dublin. He was able to input the code and sign her up in 2 minutes, then followed to tell me how we were being fed lies from Bryan.I just stopped in and talked with the GM at the Hilliard location and was told that it wasnt a very big deal. Apparently customer service and doing right by the people that pay for memberships isnt a big deal, only new members and signups are. Absolutely pathetic by the sales AND the GM.

The Tanglewood plaza location is my favorite gym to workout in when Im in the Columbus Ohio area. The atmosphere is laid back, and most of the time I can get to most workout equipment without a long wait, or fighting over it. They even have an area for women only, in order to provide a place for women to feel safe if they choose to use it. I like it there.

This is a decent gym. The team members are super nice. A lot of lunk heads grunting and slamming weights, however, it’s a good gym. I just wished they took Covid a little more seriously. Overall good value.

I travel from Illinois to Columbus once in a while and use this facility. Its quite nice, great location and not too crowded. Very spacious and the track is particularly good to have. The machines are fairly modern. The staff is friendly.The only jarring part is the multiple monitors showing Fox News as you enter. The clientele is young, very diverse and friendly. But they cant be too happy when they see Tucker immigrants make America dirtier Carlson or Laura The America we know and love doesn’t exist anymore [because of legal and illegal immigrants] Ingraham welcoming them to the club.

I stoped by twice to cancel membership. Wont cancel because only manager can cancel. Front desk said they will call me. Never got that call. So I cancel my credit card so they dont keep charging my card. I get two calls because no payment was received.Locker rooms are dirty. Sauna room had no light for two weeks.

Nice place with good equipments, but the locker room and the showers are not clean. It smells really bad in there. Theyre really not careful about hygiene!!

Ive been a member since before it was built. I love LA Fitness. If I could change one thing I wish they would give guest passes like Urban Active did. It would be nice to take a friend once in awhile.

Much cleaner than east side location, but no hot tub! I liked it the way the layout looks, and the extra rooms was awesome, even has a movie theater that you can use for working out.

This place is gross. I have been a gym member to several gyms throughout the years, and I use the facilities multiple times a week. I dont think the womens locker room and showers have been cleaned in my almost two months of membership. DURING THE PANDEMIC. Large clumps of hair remain in the drains, a conditioner explosion splatter has been on the floor for one month. I have talked to the desk with assurance it will be cleaned... Makes you wonder about the pool and other areas.Staff is friendly enough.

Best gym in the Columbus area! Its always clean, the equipment is in good shape, and it has a lot more equipment than other LA locations in the Columbus metro. I will drive out of my way to go to this location because its run so well. The manager Danylo is very friendly and helpful, he will literally go fix something himself if you tell him somethings broken and its a quick fix.***UPDATE***Dropped my rating from 5 stars to 3. This place has gone downhill since the esporta rebranding. They dont clean as often, theres a couple of machines that have been broken since January and its now June, theres frequently clips missing from the cables, the awesome manager is gone, and its always humid and sticky in there. They leave the doors open all day even when its 85 degrees out, letting out cold air and letting all the humidity in to rise to the upper floor. Still a great equipment selection, but not run as efficiently.

Have been to several locations . This one has the nicest people who work there so far. Very welcoming, super friendly,happy, helpful, and professional. I think even if you come in a bad mood, you will get that positive energy, those positive vibes that I got there today.Yoga was great. Tasha-yoga instructor is awesome. Besides being truly beautiful, she is also highly professional and loves what she does so during her class you feel even more inspired to repeat those moves and succeed. Definitely will be coming back for her class.As for me, a big part of your experience in any place is how people treat you there. The way they greet you, talk to you, or maybe just don’t say anything and just genuinely smile.Gym looks nice and clean. I got only positive emotions there today. Not sure how many workout stations of different kind they have, but I’m not a complainer about that. In any gym there could be a moment when someone will be using exactly same one that you planned to use and it may distract your workout if you cannot manage your workout routine.Thank you guys for helping me out with my membership today. One of the nicest gym in the area. Working with one of the friendliest personal trainer I worked with look for Aaron if you need one hes a trainer not a salesman. Why 3 stars? Beware of the aggressive sales and deadlock contracts some of the sale tactics are not your best interest. It can get too crowded and wait times on equipments can take some time.Good effort on covid phase and kudos for promoting to wear mask while in the gym

Neat la fitness. Like the decor, and they have a good assortment of machines, pool and track. The locker rooms are nice too. Little confused on the glue trap on the track though...Almost none of the tvs on the Cardio equipment work. And some of the treadmills sound like they are going to fall apart.

Nice gym. Lots of equipment both free weight and machines. Not too crowded as many folks still apprehensive about covid 19. Has a nice all pool (open) and basketball court (closed). I have heard it is relatively expensive to join but its free to us old folks through the silver sneakers program. Staff seems friendly enough but I havent really interacted with them much. Open at 7am during the week and 8am on the weekend.

Top Grade state of the art Gyms, Kind and understanding staff, The app is awesome it shows you how to do each excersise in the gym! Personal Trainers are legit and show it. Ive gone everyday or almost everyday to LA Fitness since my senior year started. A lot if not everyone wipes the equipment down and cleans up after themselves. Everyone wears masks when they dont workout and keeps distance. The Track is also a major plus as it is indoor and I can train for Track this year. Equipment wise, they have pretty much everything under the sun. Im thankful for the staff and for the Gym itself you guys do it right.

The general manager Omar has excellent customer service skills! There was an issue with my check in an Omar quickly solved the issue. This is one of the best LA Fitness I’ve been to and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to join.

This place is gross. Very dirty and stains all over the equipments and carpet. The lights are not bright enough and it felt depressing.

The staff here is great and understanding. The membership girl KT is great with working with you. I had problems with my kids club because kids won’t go. She worked with me and refunded my money. Please is clean and lots of great equipment.

New member. Just signed up and while I think the gym is nice there are issues. 1) very aggressive sales team that makes you feel almost uncomfortable.2) Your gym may be 2 levels but there is no space on the free weight floor. We are on top of one another.3) Need to have a better system for providing cleaning supplies to customers and need to label what is the cleaner vs hand sanitizer. And staff should make rounds cleaning. I’ve been to enough gyms to know that’s standard.On the plus side, people seem nice there generally. There are lots of options for classes and the kid care area is huge and those staff are very friendly. And a basketball court/lap pool is nice. There is a ton of equipment as well for cardio and cable machines. I do think this will be a good experience overall, and I’m willing to change my rating over time, but right now it’s average. Pricing, kid club, and equipment give it 4 stars for me

Not only do they have a ridiculous small amount of squat racks, benches, and any thing that is lifting, this has been the hardest gym I have ever had to work with. The staff is unaware of their own policies, and there is inconsistent information through management. I have been to other LA fitness, and the incompetency of the staff here is baffling.

Michael was an incredible individual and very knowledgable about the gym! He noted that was a personal trainer in the gym and showed me everything from the free weights to the movie theater! The parameters of this gym were immaculate. The staff as a whole are very helpful and friendly. I have nothing but good things to say about this particular location, and I am very happy to be a member!

Popular gym with a dedicated clientele per my observation. There are plenty of machine exercises available. However, I wish there were more free weights, especially in the lower weights (50# and below), as I struggle to find the right weights during peak hours. Additionally, I wish there were more than two bar squat stations (not including the Smith).The facility does have a sauna, movie room, personal training area, group workout section, punching bags, and a private/separate workout area for women.Overall, I would recommend this gym to others.

I’ve probably never been talked to or insulted by a company I pay every month ever. I’ve been coming to this location for years. My husband closed my membership and I was told to go online and sign back up. I did as I was told..under the impression I was just reopening my membership. Today I seen 3 months of payments taken out. I called the Hilliard location to inquire. I was put on the phone with the manager and he explained that I signed up online. I said to him I’ll call the corporate office to have them fix it. He immediately got angry and combative. He asked why would I call if he could fix it and I should of read the contract before I signed. He totally jumped to conclusion and insulted me. I tried to explain to him the only reason I said that is because he told me I signed up online. I figured I’ll go back to where I signed up and not bother him with something he didn’t do. But instead he tool it as me being mad or angry and insulted me. I wasn’t yelling or angry...but after this call I’m quite upset. He was beyond unprofessional and now I’m saddened I’m no longer comfortable going to my neighborhood gym because it employs people that are rude to their customers. The correct response would of been after I explained why I was going to call corporate..should of been how can I help you? Not I should of read the contract with a nasty hateful tone. I would be appalled if my employees spoke to long time, faithful paying customers the way this manager did. Super unprofessional.

Wow!!! What an experience in signing up. Omar Jones was top notch and very professional. Cant wait to start using gym and getting fit to keep up with my kids!!! Very nice and clean place also. Will definitely be passing this on to all my clients and friends !!!

Omar was very kind in getting me a guest pass and extending it for the length of my stay at home. The facility was very nice and clean. I throughly enjoyed the private women’s workout room. There wasn’t a time where I felt it was too busy. A very impressive experience. Highly recommend.

Equipment is old, facility is old and needs to be updated. Ive been to other la fitness locations around the country, and this is the worst Ive seen. Locker room is pretty dirty most of the time. Sauna frequently at 140-150 (when its working at all), and Ive heard salesmen tell prospects that it is always at 180 or higher. Ive been a member for about 7 years, and the quality keeps slipping. I am now looking for a gym that is like this one used to be.

Poor customer service at this location from the manager Giovanni. I came in with a 4 day pass off the website to try the gym. I met with Giovanni who asked why I was interested in LA Fitness. I told him my condos gym was closed for a few days and figured it would be a good time to check out a local gym. I also told him I was moving from the condo soon and would need a gym regardless. Giovanni was quick to assume with a bit of an attitude that I was only there because my condo gym was closed. He only gave me a 24 hour pass instead of a 4 day pass as it stated.I have received 4 emails and phone calls since then with payment options and them asking if I want to become a member. I will not step foot in this LA Fitness again due to poor customer service.

Love coming to this location, the staff is so kind & helpful. Always look forward to seeing Gio there, he is the best! It’s so nice how there is always someone greeting you when you walk in/out. Many others, including Omar do a great job making sure you feel welcome!

Good and clean But the business hours not late.

I Been a member here since it was urban active. The staff is friendly ALWAYS!!! That is a big positive.since 2010 there has been no improvements to the building or the equipment until the last 2 months. Basically they would patch something back together if it broke, but thats it. I hope to see those improvements continue, so far interior painting has been done.The biggest complaint I have, and it seems to happen 100% of the time on weekends and about 50% of the time on weekdays, is the housekeeping. Most thrash cans are overflowing, paper towel dispensers are empty. How are you supposed to wipe down the equipment if there is no paper towels? The worst of all is the restrooms!!!! No paper towels, soap, or even TOILET PAPER!! The showers have black mold.I really hope they get on the ball on these issues, I like this gym and its location, and the staff is always polite. I want to be able to update my rating soon to five stars, if they can improve on the unsanitary conditions.

The workout area is a little dim which may be enjoyable to some lifters but not for others. The layout is unique and there is a variety of equipment and machines to accommodate any type of workout. The locker rooms are decently kept. Not my first LA Fitness location of choice to workout but I always get a great workout and that is the main goal.

Better than most LA Fitness locations. Everything worked okay.This location is part of a shopping center so parking is plentiful.Paper towels are a problem here and at all locations. I bring my own.

Love this gym! We worked with Rob when signing up, he was up front and clearly explained everything. They gym is kept clean and the equipment is in good shape. Would highly recommend this gym.

I love the place, the environment and the group classes are so good. I like to go between the Grandview and Hilliard locations. Very recommended!

Very dark in here and it really stinks. It smells like a bathroom. I’m literally smelling pee everywhere.

The gym is decent, small and tacky but the two stars dont come from that. Only giving it a two because of all the LA’s I have being to this one has the most inconsiderate people. They smell really bad, they dont know how to keep their distance from other people working out. And they definitely dont wipe the equipment after or put their weights away. Definitely very disorganized.

I visit this location for two reasosn: the pool and the sauna. My experience for the last year has been mixed, but lately, it has been disappointing with regard to the sauna. Everytime I visit, the mens sauna is either not functioning at all, or the temperature is less than 130 F--even at the highest temperature setting. I inform staff everytime, and they either tell me it will be repaired or they try to assure me that 130 degrees is the ideal temperature for a sauna. The ideal temperature is between 150 and 170. I have been sitting on the sauna for the past 20 minutes and I have yet to break a sweat. Please actually fix or replace your sauna.

I’ll keep it simple.Unprofessional, unethical, and the communication between employees is non existent.No one should be spoken to or point at a board word by word as if you are a child, especially if one is an adult. Worst part, it was the general manager.You treat people with dignity and respect or simply put, treat others as you would like to be treated. Thanks to the employees here for reminding me why I left LA Fitness to begin with. Silly of me to think that the same gym in a different state would make a difference.

I love this LA Fitness! Its nice and large and we go in the morning so its not too busy. It has a walking/running track which is why we pay the extra money to go here. My husband loves this feature. I enjoy the cardio theater as well as the pool. The only thing I would change is to have a larger lap pool.

One of the best gym out there. I love the basketball courts and the track upstairs. What more can you ask for.

DO NOT get in a contract with these guys and save every piece of paper they give you if you do. They double charged my bank account and continued to charge us even after the 2 months after we gave them written notice of our leaving. If you pay your contract in full then they cant play their sneaky games. But still save everything.The facility are very nice with all the extra amenities. Honestly I suggest trying Planet Fitness first. They dont offer classes like LA, but they are a much better deal with no hassle.

Great gym if you know when to go. Otherwise it is crowded with groups of people that take over the equipment. The biggest issue is people not putting the weight back after using it. It’s not that hard people!

Great facility to work out. Has a great theatre room filled with cardio machines.And there is a womens only area!

Visited from out of town and this is one of the nicest gyms Ive been to. The pool was warm and comfortable, the locker room spacious, and there was tons of equipment to choose from for strength and cardio work.

Average, still no access to bball hoops.Sucks

This gym was incredibly clean and had a gloriously warm pool. It was certainly the most pleasant gym experience Ive ever had.

I live the track here. Nice facility and the staff has always been friendly to me. I dont use the free weights area but never have an issue getting a machine upstairs and the track always only has a handful of people on it.

Omar was great in setting us up. The gym is great and I cant wait to start working on my fitness goals!

The equipment isnt the best, but youre able to get your workout done without too much trouble. The drinking fountains however are absolutel garbage, terrible water pressure and no water bottle filling stations. Still a good place for a workout.

Im a visitor from a different country and a family member was so kind to provide me with a 14 day VIP pass to try out the gym; I was then going to apply for a membership if I decided I liked it, because Im going to be here for a couple of months. First off, the GOODALE personnel didnt know how to activate the 14 day pass, and one of them was extremely RUDE . He didnt want to tell me his name, he has tattoos, not so tall and spiked hair...He was supposed to gather my personal info for future reference if I decided to get the membership, but after I told him I might be here for only a few months and I showed him both my passport and a valid drivers licensed, he looked at them, saw that I was not from around there and simply said...You know what, just go workout, whatever and gave them back to me...as in a racist manner...They basically just lost a customer.. At least the gym wasnt overly crowded, but it was too small compared to the other location and not much variety...Kiss my face goodbye.

Solid basics gym. They offer a pool, training, free weights, indoor track, womens only fitness area, ample cardio equipment. Main complaint is equipment stays broken for months. Ive worked in the industry at smaller gyms that get these things fixed faster. Parts can be ordered and shipped and fixed in much less time...theres really no excuse. Minus this and how dark the downstairs is..Im satisfied especially for the price

Had some issues with the Grandview LA, super uninviting especially to my brother who was home on leave after a 9 month deployment. Tried to double the monthly price for him when he was only on leave for 2 weeks and even came with his leave papers. Just felt disrespectful and could see Grandview hurting the LA brand in Columbus unfortunately. Anyways, Hilliard LA is a whole different story. Liam was insanely helpful when I bombarded him with issues we have dealt with. Super cool dude and love that the Hilliard branch is beyond respectful towards service men and women. Thanks again Liam for your help and would definitely recommend checking out this branch if you’re having issues elsewhere in cbus

Ive been a committed member for the past 9 months. And when I first started the atmosphere was great the facility EXTREMELY CLEAN especially the showers. Now not so much. Today I sat in the gym parking lot from 4:58 until 5:45am and the gym never opened. This is not the first time this has happened and the staff doesnt seem to care.

I like most LA Fitness locations but this one is taking a turn. It is in bad need of some renovations to the building, the upstairs bathrooms are gross. I also noted exposed electrical sockets and the roof leaking on the track when it rained. As of today there is no projector in the cardio room and the carpets look like someone had an accident and it didnt get cleaned up.

I really like the facility especially the cardio movie theater and the staff has always been friendly and very helpful.

I just rejoined. Its familiar to me. Went in womans workout room still kinda dirty. Equip not in best condition in same room. Ill try other equip on next visit. It did look in better condition.

These are very poor gym hours considering the other gyms in the area. Also, for a gym this size, there should be more than 1 cycle class per day. My husband and I are fitness models and being able to work out any time of the day is very important. We would have continued our membership if the hours were longer.

This place is full of people who would rather text or talk then workout. Half the people have poor form and no one steps in to help. The waiting is absurd. Cell phones should be prohibited.
