I always love coming in to get my hair cut at The Barbers! It always has a great atmosphere and the people there are so nice. I absolutely LOVE Toni! ❤ Shes always so sweet and loving every time I come in😁

This was my first visit to The Barbers, I was a bit leary due to the fact I am very picky on my haircut and never been there before. My hair is very difficult to cut because I have a mean cowlick and I was blessed with a flat head. I had my appointment with Toni and she was GREAT!!! She listened to my concerns, cut my hair, and its Amazing!!! I will definitely be back to see her again and again for my cuts. Thank you Toni for a job well done!!!

Ive gone 3 times and all 3 times they have ruined my hair. They take no pride in there work. I asked for a fade and they just buzz shaved and called it good.

If I could give a zero I would.. give you a little back story. I called three times only to get a busy signal so I went in anyways like I have before, well I walk in and sat down with my mask on, well I coughed and the lady asks me if I have an appointment so I told her I called three times and the phone is gives me a busy signal, after I was sat down for almost 5 mins she says well we are all booked tonight. Well I wanted to see if this was true the place was empty for 45 minutes..not one person came in... so she lied to me because I feel like she heard me cough and didnt want to serve me... poor custom service I will never recommend this place ever.

Been here a few times. The service you get really depends on who you get. Some are great hair stylists, others not so much. However, today I have called the location 5 separate times through out the day and each time it rings through to voicemail with a pre-recorded line stating they were closed for the weekend and are re-opening Monday, 05/10/21. Well its Wednesday, 05/12/21... why am I getting a voicemail?

Ive gotten my haircut here and its been a few okay experiences. Anyway, I called in to see if I could get an earlier booking appointment other than the one I had already had scheduled at another location. I have my 2 year old so Id like to get done as soon as possible. (If you have kids you understand 😂).Everything went fine over the phone. Other than:she says its MANDATORY for a two year old to wear a mask. That wont happen. Parents you know this. I was willing to try and comply. I asked if they had a mask I could have for my son since I never carry one for him. (Not state mandated).She says yes they have masks but we cant have one. 😂What kind of business is that??!?!?!No thanks. I will NEVER be coming back to this place.

Ive had my haircut by 3 different Barbers (at this location) and each one of them has been perfect.

I had my first real haircut in over a year this morning, and it was a wonderful experience! The staff were kind and chill, and extremely patient with me when I had to go home and grab my wallet (whoops 😅). Very relaxing, clean, safe, and accomodating; Ill certainly be back.

Ramona is amazing at what she does. She gives amazing fades and definitely will come back

Update:Tried to give them a second chance called hours in advanced for an appointment at 5:30. Arrived at 5:25 to check in was once again rudely pushed to wait outside when the entire barbershop was empty this time in nearly 100 degree weather. 5 minutes later. I was told that they made my appointment for 6:00 instead and to come back later this highly unprofessional behavior has gotten to be too much. The one time I was able to get an appointment the work was decent but not worth the rudeness and general lack of customer service.Last review:Came in a few minutes early for my appointment, checked in and was asked to wait outside. Did my best to comply but there was some homeless dude out there making me feel a bit uncomfortable, so I figured since my appointment was only going to be 5 minutes, Id go inside to browse some product I might want to grab after my cut. A different person had demanded me to wait outside again in a pretty rude tone then forced the door closed behind me. Decided to go somewhere else.

John,Ill share my experience and then an opinion. I called earlier to make an appointment for later today. I was asked if I could hold and agreed. I then spent 6 minutes, listening to the person who answered the phone attempt to make an appointment with another customer and then having a personal conversation with a co-worker. Over the next 30 minutes, I tried calling back to schedule the appointment, only to hear the wireless caller you are calling is unavailable.An honest mistake, forgetting a customer on hold. It happens. The inability to get through again was annoying. Eventually, someone answered again. I explained I was trying to make an appointment earlier and was placed on hold. Before I was finished I was interrupted. Yeah, I just realized the phone was off the hook. It wasnt me I once again tried to explain what had happened earlier. I was again interrupted. I was just apologizing for the phone being off the hook. What were you saying? I, finally able to complete my sentence, told her I was placed on hold and then ignored. Her response?? Did you want to get on the schedule? Sure. Why not? scheduled for 3:15 but probably wont come in.John, Your staff, according to this experience, is unprofessional and uninterested in customer satisfaction. But I wasnt annoyed with this really. Any service profession can be stressful and made more so by customers unreasonable expectations.It did make me curious though, so I read some Google reviews. The bad ones mostly. Not to reinforce my own bias, but to see if theyre valid (I take most of them with a grain of salt) Like I said, unreasonable customer expectations..I read several that seemed unreasonable and some not. But some of your responses made me think that you may be the reason your staff is sometimes like this. In one review, you respond to a customer that personal attacks arent necessary where none was made. In another you say condescendingly (albeit to an unreasonable customer), good luck finding another business that wont follow CDC guidelines.Just a well-intended observation John. Take it for what its worth.

Dont go!!I had a scheduled appointment and waited 30 EXTRA minutes for a cut. Then they cut almost TWICE the amount off I said.So they gave me a free cut for later. So when I showed up 20 minutes early to the appointment, I still waited 10 minutes after the appointment so I called Perfect Look and they got me in 5 minutes later.Its not worth it!

Good place to get a haircut staff is friendly and make an enjoyable experience. But policies regarding covid make you feel a bit unwelcome when you show up a few minutes early to an appointment and are told your not allowed on the premises even being told waiting outside is not allowed and to wait in your vehicle

Friendly staff, good price, great cuts.

First off I showed up on time, and it still took them 40 minutes to get me seated. Second off, I showed a picture of my hair before, and what I wanted. I wanted just a shape up and a inch or 2 cut off. She ended up completely making me look like Frankenstein and there was no blending. If I wanted this cut I would have done it myself In 5 min, took an hour for her to do this. I know hair grows back but I am NOT happy with the service and quality of my hair and will NOT be coming back. I don’t recommend this to anyone.

My son loved his stylist Melissa. She was very engaging. He kept talking about how she was talking to him about stuff. He loves his haircut.

Today was my first time at this particular location (Gresham) and I had the pleasure of having Candace as my barber. She was absolutely amazing! She knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it with me giving her very little information to go off of. Candace was professional and a delight to work with. She is extremely precise and on point with what she does. I found my new permanent barber. I HIGHLY recommend her.

My appointment was at 12:30. I checked in at 12:25 and was instructed wait outside until my stylist came to get me. Said it would only be a couple of minutes. 20 minutes later in 90 degree weather and nobody ever came to get me. So I left. Absolutely unacceptable. I understand people get busy but no one even came to check on me or anything.

Real fun and friendly. Definitely make an appointment it stays pretty busy. Very professional my son loves it here hes only 4.

They do excellent work and the price is fair. The barbers are all very welcoming and charming people to be around.

Ive been going to The Barbers in Gresham for some time. They are very professional, and yet very personable. Melissa is the best - but likewise, is very busy. All of the stylists there are top shelf pros.

I always go to Mya Boyce. I wandered in here new to the area one weekend and needed a military style haircut. Mya did an amazing job and is now one of my regular barbers. She is always in a good mood and very personable which is what I look for in good barbers. You can tell she really cares about the details and she’s fast! I’m in and out most times - you will appreciate this gal! :)I’ve gotten a haircut from one other female here and she also did an awesome job.Definitely recommend these guys to my friends, and for those of you who are COVID conscious: this is the place for you. They sanitize everything and everyone that enters or exits + they screen you. I could truly care less about COVID-19, but out of respect for those who do, they are extremely careful which I can truly appreciate.

Great atmosphere clean. While waiting for my turn I watched as Candace did a 4 year olds hair cut. She was amazing with him. He was wiggeling around and moving his head and was scared. She calmed him and was super patient and got it done beautifully. Candace was professional and patient with my 6 different haircut photos I showed her. She helped me decide on what to do. I love my hair cut. I will for sure go back and ask for her to do my hair from here on out.

Ive been going here for over a year. Very happy. I like their system; the type of fade that I get, is put in the computer. So the next time I get a cut, the barber knows how I like it. Mya is my favorite, but all the barbers to a good job.FYI: call in ahead of time and get your name on the list. Show up within 30 minutes, and get your cut with very little (if any at all) wait time.

Ok we are in the COVID 19, but we have a choice on what we do and accept. Today because I had a gift card to Barbers I went to get my hair cut. I was a walk in that want the problem. The problem started when it was my turn to go into the establishment. They came out with what appears to be spray hand sanitizer. I have no idea what’s really in the bottle. They want to have me put my hands out to spray them. I don’t think so... no one will spray my hands with anything. Maybe u should supply wipes from a container that someone can use. I’m not a sheep and will not follow along to the gas chamber. So I left there NEVER to return. I hope others do the same and stand up to this demand...

My husband loves this place so much! They always treat him so kindly not to mention great cuts. I wish I could get my hair done here. Highly recommended.

I’ve been twice and I’m hoping I can continue to go comfortably. The last time I went there was someone there (I’m assuming management of some sort that was taking time to correct employees and explain how things needed to be done but it was a pretty intense energy that sort of made myself uneasy, the stylists seem to be very sharp and good at what they do, I hope they are recognized for their work. Thanks for the great cuts and the free Diet Coke! The general employees make this place awesome, I hope it’s a more comfortable environment next time. Try this place out.

UnorganizedWhen I walked in there was no one to greet me so I assumed it was just like any other barber where you sit down and you wait for someone to call you it did not occur to me that there was a sign in list until after I heard several names being called including people that came in after me as I went to inquire about the sign-in list the gentleman who is either the manager or the owner realized that I did not signed in and asked me if I had not signed in? and I replied theres nothing to tell me that I would and he replied you are supposed to be greeted when you walk in clearly that didnt happen and then he said he would make it right so after waiting another half an hour and seeing people that came in after me still go get their haircuts I decided that I can no longer had time and had to leave they need a better system.

I asked for a basic haircut with a fade, clearly stating where I wanted the fade to end and where I wanted my hair to part. The barber, reaking of cigarettes, ignored me completely. Instead, she shaved my head all the way up to the spot where my part used to be. Now I look like drill instructor with mange. It will take at least a few months for my scalp to recover. Never again.

Every time my partner and I get our haircuts there we are treated very well and have the best experience ever. We will be coming here ever 3 weeks like clockwork. Thanks again ladies!!

I love The Barbers! Great haircuts, comfortable environment. Neck shaves and a massage at a fair price. This location has been busy when Ive been there on week day mornings, so plan ahead.

I took a star away because the stylist was outside talking to someone for 20 minutes while we waited for her. I brought my son to this establishment and I LOVE the way the stylist treated him. She asked him lots of questions about how he wanted his haircut and truly gave him the haircut he asked for. My son need to have his hair washed and brushed out before the top part of his hair could be trimmed and the stylist didnt seem annoyed or inconvenienced by needing to do this extra step.

My barber or stylist or whatever theyre called was Ashley and she gave me the absolute best haircut of my life. That being said, someone needs to get her some new clippers for christmas because they sounded like a broken down lawn mower and kept yanking my hair out. It wasnt too bad though and was definitely worth the discomfort because her attention to detail and the clear amount of care she put in delivered quite literally the best haircut Ive ever had.

All I wanted was to leave the top and fade the side and back. I got an uneven fade which went up too far so not the top is crooked. I asked for my beard to be trimmed to a 3. Somehow they couldnt even do that evenly. Its pretty much a great clips in a fancy building trying to pretend its better than a great clips. Twice the price of a great clips. Will not return for another hack job

Nice shop, good conversations with nice employees

The cut was ok. I showed a picture of what I wanted and got that for the most part but the trim around the ears was way off on the left side. It went high and around the ear and the right side is trimmed close to the ear so it looks kind of funny. Spent an hour and twenty minutes there and wish it had looked better for the almost $21 it cost.

Drive to Portland, its not worth the worst haircut of your life. Went in for a simple fade and left with the worst undercut imaginable. Might as well shave my head and start over.

Was told thecwait would be 30 minutes. Fine, I am good!45 minutes go by, still, no name called. Almost an hour later, I get called. They tell ke to have a seat in the chair and then.... the person disappears. I am looking around like, where did she go?No lie, nearly 10 minutes go by and she walked up to me with a clipboard and said there had been a mistake.Okay, so I took another seat and waited another 15 minutes.I finally told them to scratch my name off the list 90 minutes after I got there.No apologies, nothing.Will never be back.

They gave my boo a cut with blending that will blend in. You get a lot of extras with your hair cut package, like a vibrating shoulder massage, a personal shampoo and neck shave. The girls who work here are really nice and interesting .

I understand waiting your turn but you folks need to improve your customer service. My 2nd trip there was my last. I recommend you greet your customers and ask them to sign in if thats your procedure, maybe mention the wait time. Good luck to you tho- no sarcasm intended.

Nice place with friendly staff. Pool table, popcorn, and soda available while waiting. Definitely oriented towards male clients. They never quite got my fiances haircut right though, however he has difficult hair.

I went to this location a few times before and was not impressed with the staff. Too many smokers and it smells when youre getting your hair cut.However... I had Mya the other day and she was the best!!! best hair cut in a long time and did great on my beard too. I will now to her exclusively at this location.

Very disappointed. My boyfriend has been cutting his own hair for the last couple years now, but let it get a little too long to tackle himself this time so decided to go to a pro. I recommended this place as I had taken my son there several times and have always had a great experience. He just finished with his appointment and reported back that it was the ABSOLUTE WORST experience hes ever had in his life. The woman who cut his hair was extremely rude, acted annoyed when he didnt know the exact measurements he wanted the top and sides (how many people who dont cut hair for a living would actually know this??) was talking to her co-worker the entire time about how HANGRY she was because she didnt eat lunch...and his hair didnt turn out any better than it would have at a cheaper salon. Oh and BTW the website pricing is out of date. How disappointing. We will never go back....but something tells me that particular employee couldnt possibly care any less about her employers reputation, or the fact that she just lost them some regular customers.

My husband took our toddler to get a haircut here 2 days ago. If a hairdresser is uncomfortable giving little kids a haircut, they should say so before the start of said haircut. Our toddler is very patient and follows directions well, hes had several haircuts before, and the results were marcably better than this. The first haircut i have him with zero haircutting experience was better than what he got from this place. Choppy, eneven, awkward lengths in different spots, asymmetclrical. Makes him look like he just woke up from a long nap all the time. Still strongly considering taking him to a different place to have this fixed. Shame on you. Suggestions: 1. If you dont know how to cut kids hair- DONT. 2. Strongly consider some classes for kids haircuts and practice on dummies BEFORE you do this to another person. Recommendation: go elsewhere.

My first visit here, I got a great cut from Venus, she was meticulous and fixed my part for me. It was a long wait at an hour, but I didnt call ahead. They have good AC thankfully!

Great barber shop: clean, well kept, great customer service and positive environment. I was in Gresham for work and I got my hair cut by Steph, she did exactly what I wanted and did it good. The bonus is getting your hair washed along with both head and shoulder massage. Ill be back here next time Im in town.

Completely botched what i asked for. Asked to even my hair out, the stylist then removed 4 inches and made her own idea of what she wanted. Useless.

My husband went in, asked for a hair cut, told the guy who was cutting his hair exactly what he wanted (down to what size/inch razor), and then walked out with a haircut he hated. I called in to ask if they would redo it because I wont let my husband spend money on a poorly done haircut, the woman was taken aback by me asking if they would fix it and with a rude tone said they would. Then when he came in, the guy who did his hair pretended he had never seen him before. I was in the restroom when my husband got finished up and when I walked out the guy who had been cutting his hair was making fun of my husband. When he realized I was his wife he looked at me and with a WHOLE lot of attitude said yeah, hes done and outside. I cannot believe what awful customer service they have. I will be calling and asking to speak to the manager about this catastrophe.
