I LOVE Essence Nails on battleground! I have been going here for 6+ years. My girl Mary never disappoints! I get my nails, feet, and eyebrows done religiously. The whole staff is super friendly and they care, genuinely care about you. It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned client or a walk-in, you will always be treated like gold! Mary and her staff treat everyone so well. There are tons of color selections from gel, SNS, and regular polish. I have gotten exquisite designs to solid colors on my hands, and I’m never disappointed when I leave, rather super ecstatic show off my nails for the next two weeks. You MUST give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed! 💖

Got my nails done by Mary. I just moved from LA and nails there are an art form. I was so worried I wouldn’t find anyone here that could come close but she did an AMAZING set of acrylics. And I had no lift after more than 2 weeks. Clean and safe and she really listens to give me the celeb glam look I was going for. This LA girl is happy and won’t go anywhere else!!

We have been coming here for over a year now and love it! The staff is so welcoming and friendly. It makes for a more personable experience! We just happened to discover them driving down Battleground Avenue and wouldn’t want to try any of the bigger nail salons where you’re just rushed and aren’t satisfied with the results afterwards.

I come here every couple of weeks with my mom and sister. We couldnt imagine going anywhere else. The staff is so friendly and sweet. Not to mention my nails, toes and brows always look amazing.

This was my first visit, and I left extremely pleased. She clipped my cuticles, without my asking, which is something I have requested so many times at other shops, but have failed to receive. The length and shape are just what I wanted. Mary did my s-n-s, who is the person so many other reviewers recommended. The price was very reasonable: $40 without tip, for s-n-s, cut down, and three tips (Thanks to the place I tried before and was highly disappointed.). I plan to go back because the look is just what I have been seeking and they are open on Sundays, which is the best day of the week for me to get my nails done. The thickness is perfect. They arent big and bulky, nor are they thin and flimsy, breaking after a few days, forcing me back in the chair wasting time I dont have. Mary also moves quickly to get you out in a timely manner, without compromising the quality of her work. The atmosphere was quiet and friendly with complimentary soda and water.

I loooooove Ms. Mary! She is so awesome, she always takes care of me. So polite, cares for your best interest and she won’t let you walk out of the door unless you’re satisfied. I won’t go to another shop♥️ They are awesome!

Sweet ladies but I was not impressed. I only went because my regular salon was closed. Went in for an SNS mani & regular pedi. No cuticle care, no oil & lotion. Hands just ashy but nails ok. The one positive is that they didn’t pack on the SNS coats to when I go to scratch my leg or back it does nothing for the itch sensation. My pedi on the other hand feet look worse than they did when I went in.

This was the absolute worst place I have ever been. If I could give 0 stars, I would. They didnt let my nails soak and pulled them off after I told them they were hurting me numerous times. I should have left then, but I didnt. The guy doing my nails put some of them on crooked and tried to tell me it was my finger. He got mad when I said something and got up and walked away. The lady who appeared to run the place rushed to finish me up and did a terrible job painting my nails. The polish looks globbed on and just all around terrible. I will never go there again and unless you enjoy having your nails pulled off and a manicure that looks like a 6 year old did it, dont go there!!!!!!

Deluxe pedi and gel mani are my regular services here. This is also my favorite place to send my husband for a gift certificate. Mary usually does my services and she never disappoints. My dread about nail salons is the pressure to get add-ons. It’s never the case here. I never felt rushed no matter how busy they are and it’s a big plus in my book.

They were so friendly but they quoted a price and when I went to paid they were twenty dollars over the quote. I asked about this and they said no no no and started talking in their language. I will never go back. So disappointed in this place.

A wonderdul and pleasent environment. Mary does wonderful eyebrow arching. Peter did my pedi and I was all smiles. If you want a professional and welcoming establishment this is a great place to be.

Where to start? I have SNS. I read reviews and thought... Why Not.. Well heres WHY NOT...This was the absolute worst experience. They had a very limited color selection. They pulled my nails off with pliers instead of soaking them...I told her that it hurt and she insisted it was better for my nails.. Ok, youre the professional.. Fast forward.. After they pulled off my 10th finger nail, my nails were left so brittle.. Peeling.. Horrible.. She kept assuring me that it would be ok.. After she dipped and finished, Im left with polish on the side of my fingers.. And uneven spots. Its literally the worst service Ive ever had, all-around. I wont be back. And SHE CHARGED $45.. She insisted it was for the quality I got.. No.😌Im highly displeased. Would not recommend for SNS.
