Staff here are so friendly and cheerful makes you want to apply soon as you speak to someone. The grounds are well kept. And I love the pool area.
Im on year 2 of living here and I really enjoy it! I dont have to deal with leasing staff too often, but the maintenance staff are very friendly and respond to requests within 24 hours. Anything I put in the notes, like calling before they come up (I have a dog who reacts to knocking), is always followed. Apartment is very spacious. Kitchen has a ton of counter space and cabinets. Large bathroom and closet. The landscaping is also well maintained. Parking has become alot better since they implemented parking permits and towing. One issue is that there can be alot of litter at times, often at the playground area. People also tend to drive with their trash bags on their cars, and if it falls/breaks they just leave it. Kind of gross, but its a resident issue and maintenance picks up trash daily. Also the material of the counters stains incredibly easily but magic eraser sponges seem to work well. But all and all, a very nice property with spacious units, nice staff, ameneties like a pool, gym, and dog park with turf, and youre only 2-3 minutes from Harris teeter, Walmart, and friendly center.
Been watching because I too have seen some of the same things others are reviewing on, let it go for a while to see if, since others were complaining maybe certain situations would be handled but I figure maybe it’s time to speak up. Management does a horrible job with rules. People hang out in the pool after hours, tenants let dogs use the bathroom in the parking lot, people play loud music at night it goes on and on. As others have stated I too have seen the car washing situation and I don’t feel like he’s bothering anyone*for the Previous poster that called accounts fake I guess my review will be called fake too* but that’s not why I’m here this complex is beyond beautiful one of the best I’ve ever lived, pest control comes often so there’s no worries about bugs we have great amenities matenince is always nice and helpful. But what’s the point in a beautiful complex with horrible management?
Maybe 0 stars? I mean overall it’s a nice place but is it a place for people to wash cars or a place to live? Kind of inconvenient for other tenants if you ask me came to visit my girlfriend over the weekend and a young man was standing out front washing cars looking at the other reviews it seems like management is telling people it’s being handled but clearly it isn’t very unfortunate for the amount of rent they are asking for.
I love it here. And the fact that everything I need is within walking distance makes it 10x better❤️
Visited a friend over here a few months back and the neighborhood was so chill I had to write about it. Also the apartments are really nice aesthetically wise.
If I can put 0 I will because the manager talk rude and is seems like they don’t careTrying to kick people outI am so disappointed in thisTwo days because I have never thought I will meet a manager like this in this beautiful apartment.
I love the added features like the pool and gym! Very convenient and the management is very nice!
In agreement with the last review. Came to visit some friends today decided we would hit the pool and use the grills on the facilities and on the side of her building (very top of the complex corner of muirs chapel connecting onto friendly) was a young guy outside washing a car I thought nothing of it and even spoke to him on the way inside. Fast forward I’m going back outside to get my swim suit and the inside of my car is wet maybe it was my fault because I parked right beside the car he was washing (he was using a very loud pressure washer) I go back inside and my friend says “oh he’s been doing that for months now even though is prohibited here it’s even in the lease” needless to say he didn’t apologize got into his truck and pulled off. This is a very nice complex the one bed room apartment buildings have to have codes to get into the building, the complex is well kept with a gym and a nice pool, doggy park, and playground. But people paying the high rent here shouldn’t have their guest feel uncomfortable or have property ruined by the tenants when they visit it’s enough to run anybody off and honestly gives the complex a ghetto look because it’s right off the main road, management needs to do a better job making sure the lease is abided by for everyone’s comfort and safety.
8-4-21 DONT LET YOUR LOVED ONES LIVE HERE! They allow anything here I came from 5 hours yesterday to visit family and was basically harassed by one of their tenants in the parking lot about my car! I emailed them and they have yet to respond, according my family member this person does this constantly and has multiple cars coming through the parking lot getting their car washed loudly mostly after the office has closed! Even tonight this person had 2 cars come and wait. I just came outside and his business card was on me car! UNBELIEVABLE! We will be looking for family somewhere to relocate ASAP!
A great place to live, very clean and the staff is amazing, would highly recommend living here.
No….just no…management is horrible! They let anything happen here and do nothing about it very unprofessional! It’s almost like they pick and choose who to make uphold rule and who not to.
Office staff and maintenance are friendly and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. Any problems get taken care of quickly and without issues.
Dont live hereWe first moved in to a unit that smelled like dog urine. we asked for a transfer and the new apartment clearly wasnt prepared for our arrival, The back door was coming off the hinge, the apt was missing smoke detectors, the fridge was leaking, and many more problems. All of these issues took weeks or months for maintenance to come fix.We also had a neighbor above us that walked like an elephant and the office staff werent very helpful, the manager just kept coming up with excuses for her. The office tried to charge us several times to scam us but we had them drop the fees each time. We transferred again and guess what there were more problems in the new unit. Its a good looking property but the staff dont handle anything well.
The apartment complex and unit I rent is fairly decent. It’s a good size and price. My issue is with management. This is by far the worst place I have ever resided when it comes to management and professionalism. Maintenance is especially horrible. Running as fast as I can as soon as my lease is up.
This place came highly recommended by my coworker. I came to see the type of apartment I needed and Kayla, Lisa and Stephanie were all courteous and professional. Clean and well cared for property so I decided to rent here. Hope my stay will be pleasant and trouble free. Cable package included and close to shopping and entertainment. My place was clean and nice to see dishwasher and a microwave.
Let me start by saying that the unit itself is fairly decent. HOWEVER, management is the absolute worst that I have dealt with. I debated on writing this review but this morning was the last straw for me. Please keep in mind, I have not even lived here a full 2 months and I am already considering finding a way out.I signed a lease in the middle of May, to move in on June 10th. Every interaction that I had the with the office prior to my move in date, they wanted to make my move in date to an earlier one and I kept declining. Over the course of the month before my move in date, I sent all of the required information they asked for and then sent everything again multiple times when they claimed they didnt get certain documents every time. After jumping through all of these hoops and finally getting all of the documents correct, they then tell me that they have switched the company they use for renters insurance and that mine needs to be updated. No big deal, I did it and sent it in.About a week before my lease is supposed to begin, I get a phone call telling me that the unit I signed for may not be ready by the 10th. I found this odd since they toured me that specific unit when I came by and they continuously tried to get me to move in sooner. When I asked why, they said it was because the washer and dryer that I was paying them for would not be able to be delivered until the 12th. They had already warned me of this and I said that it would be fine and they assured me that they would then have the unit ready for move in on the 10th and the appliances would be delivered the 12th.3 days before my lease starts, I receive another phone call saying that the unit isnt ready and wont be for another few weeks as there has been a pest control issue and they are treating the unit. Obviously, they knew of this issue before and were hoping they could get it fixed without me knowing about it. When I asked what my options were, they basically told me that either I could move into a different unit, on the second floor (what I had signed for was a bottom floor unit, because thats what myself and my roommates preferred) or I could terminate my lease but I would then lose over $200 in application fees as they wouldnt refund that. I accepted the offer for the second floor unit as my other option was to lose over $200 and be homeless by the end of the week when my lease for my old apartment ended. On the 11th, I was still moving things back and forth and at one point, I left to go and pick up more of my stuff. When I came back, my cat was nowhere to be found and our washer and dryer had been delivered. Yay for it being a day early, but I was livid that they had given me absolutely no notice that they were coming and could have possibly let my cat out(he is indoor only and had I known that they were going to be coming in, I would have gladly put him in the bedroom to ensure that he stayed safe and out of the way). Finally found my cat as he had been terrified by being in a new environment and then having new people come in and had managed to crawl inside of my dresser and gotten stuck.Within a week of moving in, anytime we ran our dishwasher, the kitchen sink would fill up with dirty water and would not drain. So I placed a service request for them to come fix it. they came out and it was a simple enough fix.Unfortunately I have hit the character limit that google has set and I am nowhere even close to listing all the horrible things that have happened in less than 2 short months.Do yourself a favor and do not move here.
I came in this apartment in 2015, since then i never notice any problem few things I just want list down:1. good service:they are resolving your service request within 24 hours.2. staff response is very very good, they are treating like close friends.3. Gym i would say it good 24/7 access5. business is accessible all the time and it never down.and there so many thing are good, i can not list all . yaa location is very very good. its clean ...
The amenities are wonderful! The staff is kind and polite. I have no idea why there are some tenants who complain about how rude they are. So far I have have been treated very respectfully. Also the grounds are kept very clean and there is also much diversity in age and culture. So if you are looking for a place to fit in, I most definitely recommend The Legacy.
I lived here for a year. Dont be fooled by the model apartment the show you. The staff is terrible. They are rude and disrespectful. The office has lost my mail and claimed they never received it and tried to blame it on the new post office lady. They make up charges when its time to move out and cant back the charges up with photos. They even sent my final payment bill to collections when my account was paid in full a month before the due date. Terrible management!
I really enjoyed my time at Legacy. I always felt safe coming home to my apartment, which is not something I can say for every apartment Ive lived in. I found it to be a clean, well-maintained, secure community. I also think that its a pretty good value compared to other apartments at the same price point. The grounds are really pretty too, in my opinion. Just a nice place to walk through and come home to. I looked at over 20 places while apartment hunting and I liked this one immediately, it seemed more like a community than the others. Now, on the negative side, there are indeed a lot of loud college students here. That is something you should expect, being across from Guilford College and close to UNCG. However, I never felt threatened. People just like loud rap music. Put in some earplugs and youll be fine.
I have given one star for the fact that I liked the location of this apartment complex and they gave me a decent rent rate on a four month lease. It was my plan to stay there longer if I liked living here, but unfortunately I had a difficult neighbor and did not have great interactions with the complex management so I decided to leave.I felt that the office had poor communication skills. Whenever I called the office no one ever picked up the phone and I was forced to leave a message and wait for them to call me back, if they called me back at all. The office never let me know when I received a package, and I had to constantly check in each evening when I got home to see if I had a package. There were also two particular instances I was disappointed in the office’s communication with myself. Shortly after moving in, the complex had scheduled appointments to get Spectrum internet installed in each apartment. The complex notified me that they had to reschedule this appointment three times. Every time I moved my tv and furniture from the wall Spectrum never came. When they finally did come to do the installation the office did not notify me and I had dust all over my furniture and TV from the installation. The other instance was when one of my neighbors did not clean up after their dog. The dog pooped all over the concrete right outside of our building’s main door. When I told the office they told me they would clean it up. It sat there for a week and a half before the rain washed it away. Also, I would not recommend using the on site laundry facility. I used this regularly while I lived here. One time I was using the washer and it broke causing me to have to pull out sopping wet clothes. Later I found out that they charged me $10 to fix the washer, even though this is normal wear and tear.
Its great that they allow dogs on the property but the tenants dont pick up after them and maintenance or management doesnt enforce it. Trying to get a work order filled lately is difficult. Place has its benefits and its drawbacks.
Ive been living here for almost half a year and dont have anything to complain about. The staff is super friendly and has helped me solve every problem Ive had so far.
The up-keep and maintance of the apartments is great, the different appartments are very homey. Lisa and Kayla, the women in the front office, are extremely friendly and funny. They worked with my roommates and I to get a great deal. weight room and pool are kept in great condition.
Received the absolute WORST customer service that I have at ANY apartment complex that Ive ever visited. I have been searching for apartments for about two months now. Ive had about 4 great touring experiences with different complexes. I expected the same welcoming & hospitable service that anyone would. The lady who I first came in contact with quickly asked for my license to tour and rushed me to the open unit. She was pretty much silent the entire walk over. So, we finally got to the door of the unit. SHE LITERALLY UNLOCKED THE DOOR WITH THE KEY, SWUNG THE DOOR WIDE OPEN AND STOOD IN THE DOORWAY. I LOOKED AT HER AS IF TO ASK FOR PERMISSION TO ENTER. SHE BLANKLY LOOKED AT ME. I ENTERED THE UNIT AND GAVE MYSELF A TOUR. I looked around the living room area, the kitchen, upstairs (townhouse unit), and each bathroom ALL WHILE SHE STOOD IN THE DOORWAY COMLPETELY SILENT. I walked downstairs when I was finished touring the apartment myself and then we walked out together. We silently walked back to the office together.....it was HOORIBLE. That experience alone made me extremely hesitant towards renting here. It was unbelievable.
Kayla and Lisa are wonderful, respectful, kind people. Very helpful and respectful, love living here with such a great front office.
I lived there back in 2010. Dont Live here! The staff is RUDE!!! Staceykicked my girlfriend and I out of the pool for having too many friends. We had 3 over. While I was up in my apartment Stacey told my friends to leave the pool area, which is fine, but then I come back down to the pool and she said I had 1 minute to leave. I said what are you talking about??? Stacey said, I already told you! . I hadn t been told and I was looking for an explanation. She turned and walked away slamming the double doors. I was so confused as I was not at the pool when she apparently kicked me out. My friend had explained that she came down and kicked us out, but without telling me. Stacey then called the police. I left and when back to my apartment. The police start beating on my door. I open it up and ask what is going on?....They said I threatened Stacey. Stacey had LIED to the POLICE. I successfully filed an internal affairs complaint with the Greensboro police department against B.S. Davis-. Good riddance Legacy . DON T LIVE HERE!!!
We moved here 5 years ago and it was much better then. In the 5 years, we lost trash service, reduced pool hrs, no longer have a reliable parcel system, lost the ability to have independent internet, and lost attentive office and maintenance staff, all while having a steady increase of rent. When our door got egged, we notified the office as soon as they opened up. Took them 6hrs to come out and look at it. When they did, they just picked up the shells and told us they MIGHT get around to washing the door 3 days later. Mind the fact its summer, and the exterior is the responsibility of management. There was also a power waahing company onsite at the time, and maintenance also has their own equipment for spot cleaning. If you expect a return for your money, look elsewhere. The staff IS friendly, there just isnt any action to be matched to their kind words. Location of the apartments is ideal as well.
Tracy is probably one of the worst employees I have ever met. Instead of handling a situation like it should be she resorted to cussing and very rude behavior. Everyday we walk into the office Lisa and Kayla and all the other workers including all the guys roaming on golf carts working on everything are wonderful and very nice and welcoming except for Tracy. Tracy sits in her office never caring to help anyone out and would rather just ignore everyone. She constantly has a rude monotone and boring voice. If you need anything always go to Lisa or Kayla but unfortunately Tracy oversees more it seems like so your forced to actually interact with her. Hopefully Blue Ridge can take the time to actually look at these reviews and see the one starts are coming from Tracy and make change on it. For anything to get better they need to get rid of her ASAP and get more power to other ladies in there that deserve it.
Living here with the somewhat shallow, but spacious swimming pool; well equiped exersize room and fair business center gives you a reason to come home and feel comfortable!
The staff is very rude. management dont care about residents. overall they are a bunch of rip offs, after moving out you will receive bills for things you are not entitle to paying. they lie to your face before moving in on how great the neighborhood is good for you but yet harasse you trough your staying. I would not recommend living there! find somewhere much more diverse thats accepts everyone and treats everyone as equal! DONT LIVE THERE!
Never stay here there people in the office have no customer service. And read your lease over carefully
First of all the staff are very rude (ALL of them). i dont care what anyone told you about this place but its THE LAST PLACE I WOULD EVER LIVE. its all a bunch of rip off, trust me youll see when you finally move out of there...NOT A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE!!
Lisa and Kayla are amazing people in the front office!
Ive lived at Legacy for nearly 2 months and so far its been great. The rent is a little higher than the other nearby apartment complexes, but the apartments are clean, well-laid out, spacious, and attractive. The amenities, such as the pool, fitness center, dog park, and little movie theater were definitely factors in our ultimate decision about where to live.If youre planning to visit Legacy, ask for Kori. Shes the one who helped us find our apartment and it was a very quick process. She was also very helpful, unlike the other woman we worked with (whose name I honestly cant remember). My few complaints about Legacy are: the application process was costly and complicated, especially since Legacy does not take cash, credit, or debit in the office. Paying debit or credit online costs an exorbitant extra fee--about $19. There do seem to be a lot of Guilford students, who can get loud, but I havent had many issues--it is summer, though, so it may get worse when school starts back up. If you dont already have a washer/dryer, you can rent from Legacy--$50/month for both. But add that to the extra $50-100 EXTRA youll pay in rent for an apartment with a washer-dryer hookup, and it will be cheaper to simply get an apartment without a hookup and pay for the coin laundry. Its $1/load to wash and $1/load to dry. Rent at Legacy is higher than at Westborough or Madison Woods, but the buildings and neighborhood are nicer and seem safer. The pool does get crowded, especially on weekends, you would expect that anywhere. We were not able to check out our apartment before signing the lease, and entered the first time to a very strong cigarette smoke smell, so ask to see the specific apartment before signing anything. But I do have a LOT to love about Legacy. Like I said, the many amenities/benefits were a definite draw. Our building is toward the back of the complex, away from the road, so its quiet at night. Legacy is right on the border of the Guilford College neighborhood, so its a little quieter than Westborough (right behind Harris Teeter) but close enough to walk throughout the neighborhood--we walk to Harris Teeter, CVS, El Azteca, and Menchies on a regular basis. I even walk to work. If youre not a walker, Legacy is also convenient to Friendly Center, the shopping centers on New Garden, and Market Street. Im a Guilford graduate so Im close enough that my friends who are still in school can come visit (and I dont have to pick them up!) and I can drop by to visit my old professors. Our apartment is the perfect size for us, and other than the lingering smell of smoke, I have no complaints about it.Overall, Im pretty happy at Legacy. The other reviewers seem to have had bad experiences that my experience has been nothing like. While its not perfect, nowhere is, and I feel like Ive been very lucky to find such a convenient place to live.
