I needed help same day, the staff that works in the office was nice and helpful. The guys that came out was nice, smart and took care of my problem quickly. The guys where in uniforms and drive a nice big van. Service was great.
Chris was awesome! Very professional and detailed. He even gave me a few good tips to better maintain my system. Definitely would use them again.
I spoke with Kathy - not Susan. She was polite and understanding but my experience was awful. I heard their radio show and called to schedule a system check up. The operator took all of my info and a service call was scheduled. I stayed home and waited but NO ONE SHOWED UP! I called again and rescheduled. Hours later Kathy called and told me I was out of their service area. First, I heard their radio show (FM 94.5 with a fixed reception area). Second, they took my info and scheduled the service call. Third, I stayed home for the service call. Fourth, they never showed up. Fifth, they rescheduled the appointment. After all of this, I was finally told that I was out of their service area. What a colossal waste of my time and exceptionally poor customer service on their part!
Very satisfied. Ran into issue with my AC unit and it stopped working, of course on the day its going to be over 100 degrees. They had someone out here within an hour and half and he made a replacement within 15 minutes that fixed the issue. He was very polite and walked me through everything that was going on. Very pleased!
We purchased a Groupon Deal in order to take advantage of a Spring checkup. We have done this in the past and the service was great. However, yesterday, we were scheduled from 1 to 3 and the technician never showed up. When I called at 4:30 to determine the whereabouts of the technician (after getting a text at 11:15 am stating that the tech was on the way) I was told that they would check and call me back. A few minutes later I get a voicemail from a rep saying that the technician came to our home and my husband refused service saying that we were only needing a quote! WHAT!!! Im not going to repeat what my husband said but this absolutely DID NOT HAPPEN! Why would we say that after the service had already been paid for? If you are going to lie at least make up a good one. I called back after getting this message and received absolutely no sympathy. I actually felt like I was bothering them by asking for a service I had already paid for!! Needless to say, I wouldnt have them out to our home now if they service was free! I generally do not create these type of posts but this was absolutely ridiculous! The only reason Im giving a 1 star rating is because it wouldnt allow me to submit the post with no stars. I have made my complaint here...now on to the Better Business Bureau.
We used Custom Air to put in our complete system....including duct work nearly ten years ago. The duct work, to this day is the biggest mess you have ever seen. Sadly, they do not stand behind their work. I have complained several times and have gotten no where. We will end up ripping it all out to replace the duct work so it will properly be done. Terrible. Again, today we were under our house trying to fix their mess...I dont even bother calling anymore. I tell everyone I can about the shoddy workmanship we experienced. As a response: when I called last time (this has gone on for years) I was told the equipment was under warranty...not the duct that Custom Air installed. Therefore, they did not stand behind their work. Their equipment...yes. When ours broke down multiple times when it was new, they fixed it. Unfortunately, it doesnt end with the equipment. The duct work was terrible and we will have to replace it to avoid moisture under our house. We will use another company.
Custom Air provided excellent customer service and arrived in a timely manner! The technician was proficient and took care of my issue. 5 stars from me!

Not quite sure how in the world they have decent ratings. I had them install a $5-6,000 system in a rental unit. IT KEEPS FAILING!!!! So much so that we asked someone else to come and work on it once because they couldnt come out. Now they say the warranty is void because of that. BAD BUSINESS! Take a chance on them if you want to be calling every couple of months for a fix . They claim their warranty is the best you will be able to find in the area, but thats simply a LIE. I will say most people i talked to were somewhat friendly, but that doesnt make up for how much i paid for a system that fails repeatedly throughout the year!
Worst a.c. company to work for. They tweak your hours and take pay. They dont offer benefits worth working for, their owner is a penny pincher who doesnt care about his employees, he only cares about money and himself instead of the well being of the company. They overcharge everything, mainly refrigerate. The other employees try to convince you and take your money for something that doesnt need to be repaired amd the proces for new units is retarded. You can go to any other air company and get better prices. I will never work for him again including 72 degrees in Apex. They can all go to hell
I have used Custom Air for years, but after a visit 2 weeks ago, they will never get my business again. After a service call with the complaint that A.C. was not cooling sufficiently, the tech informed us that our coil was bad. Our options: 1) recharge the system $1000, but it would leak out quickly, 2) replace the coil $3000 or 3) replace the system $5k. Like any good consumer, I had another company do a quote. They quoted $1800 for the coil replacement. I had one more technician come out who actually measured the freon level in our system and it was 2lbs low. It was determined we had a very small leak and he was able to fix our system for $210, this same company quoted $1600 to replace the coil which is in line with the other quote. Custom Air seems to be after $$$ and doesnt have their customers best interests in mind.
Professional and courteous, customer service was excellent . I highly recommend Custom Air, and I will use them for all of my Heating and Air needs .
Technician came out and did really quick check of outside units. Never checked either of the air handlers or duct work as described in commercial. Asked if I had any problems with untie and I said yes Super high electric bill. He checked pressure on upstairs unit and said it was 2 lbs low on freon and the childs were leaking, although he never checked the coils. Said bc unit was 11 years old and coils leaking should replace entire unit. Then during checking downstairs unit he noticed it would pull into a vacuum when on heart but not a/c. He said the compressor was bad. I said but the compressor works fine on a/c. Could it be a restriction? I suggested maybe a expansion valve. He callen someone and they told him out could be but I should replace it and the compressor or the whole unit. I sent him away. Contacted another HVAC guy who replaced tx valve and topped off freon for downstairs unit, $500. Also said upstairs unit want even leaking or low! Dont believe the commercial on the radio they are crooks!
Just called & am a little taken back by the tone of this first impression. Didnt even off for an appt....guess youre just too busy!
