I just moved in recently and am loving my apartment. My neighbors are friendly and the staff is amazing. Its a perfect fit for my daughter and I.
I frequently interact with Liz and the rest of the office staff and they’re amazing! They always have time to talk and are just awesome people to interact with
So I am moving in today and so far the staff is verry nice the overall apartment is nice and the office. They are verry festive. Excited to live here (also submitting a review for like the prize thing for my cats ) oh I also love that they allow pets :)
Ive lived here for more than a year, and I have no complaints. My rent is also a very good price compared to other places. I recommend.
Recently moved in and so far have no complaints! My cozy 1 bedroom apartment is perfect for me and I love that Im on the second floor so the wind comes in perfectly. Not to mention how close I am from the mall and a really good pho spot! Looking forward to starting school back up so I can live here full time!
I have been living here for about 6 years now and I am not loving it here. It is cheap here as in rent, yes, but that is the only reason i live here. Some of the maintenance men are really rude. The other people living here dont care about anyone else, and the other children around here are never watched and like to pick on and beat up other kids who just want to play. If i had a real choice on where to live, I would NEVER choose this place.
I lived here for many years, from 2007-2017 about 10 years- I can tell you that this place is good and met all my needs and was affordable. One of the reasons I stayed so long aside from fair rent is the ownership/management- some great people have worked and do work there to this day I believe. I had excellent relationships with the management team especially Monique and Shelley. Maintenance was always quick to respond if I needed them. Since I left I still visit the area and team from time to time it is looking even better there. I assure you the Pines is a decent place to live and the management company is one that is involved and continues to value the complex and residents.
I have lived here for 6 years and it has been great. Very friendly staff and great maintenance.
For the most part it’s quiet. I don’t like people smoking weed in their apartments but I’m general they are good people.
We moved into these apartments because we thought that they were amazing & spacious when we first saw it.$30 just for them to take your payment thru an appt or in office. Parking is so hard to find in these apartments, doesn’t even want to make you leave your home after 4 cause you will be walking blocks away from home. Pool is only open hours that office ladies are in. Hoping February comes faster so we can see where else we can get.
My daughter just moved out of here had her carpets professionally cleaned and they still tried to charge he for her carpets being cleaned. So that tells me they either dont walk propert after a move out or they are scaming people out of money for work that has already been done. Now this isnt the 1st time this happened either, my other daughter used to live her with the same daughter that just moved out and if you look in reviews my wife made a review pretty close to this one something about the carpet. We gave them receipt and that we got charge removed. My point of this is these are far from honest people thats for sure charging somebody for something that has clearly been fixed?! Mind you also that the apartment my daughter was in wasnt even a remodeled on it was an old run down one, That Im sure as soon as she left was redid. Either way got some grimly people running these appartments. BEWARE.
Went through application process and because the place im currently living in wont fill out paper work for them they denied the application. waste of money and two weeks
I have lived here for a couple years now and the place has really came along way. they put in a new parking lot and painted all the buildings and the staff are very attentive and quick to respond. the rental amounts are fair for Colorado I feel, Colorado in general is expensive so I am glad I found a good place for a reasonable price. The owners seem to care and take good care of this older complex. The new manager is so nice and responsive. I really like the new office team they have - very friendly and outgoing, they seem happy and welcoming now when you walk in. I have not observed police here much, I feel more that is a preventative patrol like most complexs and subdivisions have now days- I feel safer seeing them drive around, I feel it is a good preventative measure. the complex is well lite up at night and they do have a security company that patrols too (looks like a cop car) so I will keep on living here as long as my rent does not go up to much.
They have always been very kind to my family.
This place does not even deserve one star. I remember my family got 30 days notice to leave. Not just my family but the whole other Asian families that were living there as well.We did not speak English at the time so they took advantage of us. The apartments are full of bed bugs even before we moved in. The office ladies were always mean and treated us like we werent human.I will never forget nor forgive what they did to us. We were paying our monthly payments on time and keep our place clean, but it was not enough for them. This is Anti-Asian apartments!!!!
So the pines at southmoor had our car towed even with residential permit in our windshield because someone stole our plates then charged us $200 with discount with police report proving the plates were stolen!!! Just so everyone knows the pines at southmoor will screw you over any chance they get!!!! #thepinesatsouthmoor
Always paid my rent on time. They still charged me the 100 dollar late fee after they confirmed I paid my rent. DO NOT LIVE HERE. THEY WANT YOUR MONEY.
Good place to live
It has the worst parking for tenants. They will tow your car at owners expense. People fighting in the middle of the night. Not a place to live.
***EDIT*** I was contacted by a leasing agent and am now a resident of The Pines. Time will tell how things play out over my leasing period. I am deleting my previous comments.
I have lived here for six months and have been really impressed. My kids and I feel safe, the buildings are sturdy so we dont really hear the neighbors, the trash is picked up often, and its convenient, being right across from the mall and Walmart. There is a playground for the kids, soccer fields, basketball hoops, swings, and a picnic and grill area. On top of that, there is a nice sized on sight laundromat with vending machines for soaps and also snacks, a workout gym and indoor pool open 7 days a week. I love taking my kids to the pool, but last night set the bar. It was a nice swim, but when we went home I couldnt find my keys. I called maintenance thinking I left them at the pool, and they said they would keep a look out. This morning three employees helped me look for my keys, even going through trash and checking the cameras. Unfortunately we didnt find them, but they were all genuinely concerned for me. I got home and found the keys, man I felt like a butt. I went to inform the maintenance, thinking they would be upset, but they were not, they were understanding and treated me very nice. So happy I live in a place where I can feel cared for and be treated like a person not a number. Thanks guys
Dont be fooled, I had seen the model apartment before moving, thinking it would be exact as what I was told, only to find old dark brown breaking apart apartment cabinets and doors, to follow up took long that I to move in and wait for a response. Moreover, they say the have security look what they just did after move in, I inquired about more information they told me one, add more to rent and would move to a new similar to model apartment. Second, my car insurance should take care of it and added that the video camera is for show and there is no security guard going around. I also asked of breaking the lease and said the buy out is 2 and half of rent. I guess this is it for now cant wait for more surprises.
Moved in an carpet smelled like cat piss an refused to deep clean again months for by an needed a spare key but lady was to lazy to walk over an unlock door because she was the only one in office when there’s 2 other people in office an didn’t ask for any form of ID total stranger could’ve came in.
Place is very clean very friendly people were knowledgeable
I was shown an apt. That faced West to the basketball court. I applied for it. The woman (no longer with staff) who showed me the apt gave it away as she did another apt. This person never called Housing of Section 8 for inspection. When the assistant director inquired why I couldnt move in the lady never responded. Now Im stuck in a garden level apt with no walk in closet, and facing the parking lot.Residents have no respect in parking area. Someone hit my Cadillac Escalade truck and cracked rear light and cover. My carcwas sidesarswiped and green paint is still on my vehicle. I cannot prove that person hit my car.On the positive maintenance workers are quick on repairs. Staff is cordial. In theLaundry room dryers are a bit high but the place is always clean.
Do NOT live here. Moved in June of 2019 and I regret every second of it. Originally showed the show room, put a deposit down only to find out the apartment is completely different. The doors don’t even close properly. Bugs are everywhere in the apartment, probably because the doors don’t even completely close. People that live there smoke and do drugs 24/7. You’re allowed to smoke in your apartment so everything smells like cigarette smoke, and causes anyone’s breathing to be impaired. Lights are out in the parking lot so it allows people to do drugs behind the dumpsters. I don’t feel safe at all, there’s lights out all over the property making it unsafe to walk anywhere after 8:30. Constantly fireworks and speakers booming all hours of the night, and they don’t pay attention to the amount of people living in any of the apartments. Next door there’s 7 people living in their one bedroom apartment. Do not live here unless you want to feel dirty and unsafe, expensive rent for what you get.
I have lived here for almost 7 years and I am going to renew my lease. The management has drastically changed and improved over the last 7 years. To be fair this place is like 35-40 years old and has quirks but the staff and owners are quick to listen and help and repair things as needed. Living in an apartment takes some compromises you hear your neighbors and have the occasional unpleasantry but overall my experience here has been great. I love that I have an affordable home that allows my pets without hassle, why pay an huge amount of rent on some fancy stuck up place- here you are treated like family! Great staff and vibes- I would recommend.
I have stayed at many apartment complexes and some have been pretty fancy but maintenance has always been an issue. At The Pines at Southmoor, the maintenance has been absolutely fantastic. I have put in work orders in the morning on my way to work and by the evening it’s all been taken care of. I see the maintenance crew every morning walking around and cleaning up the common areas. They work very hard. Yes the apartment complex is slightly old but the maintenance is great and I have had absolutely no issues living here. I have enjoyed my stay here, the rent is reasonable, the office staff are very friendly and helpful, and it’s an easy commute to the UNC campus from here. Thanks to the office staff, maintenance staff and management. Keep up the good work!
THIEVES!!! I was told that I had to leave a deposit with my application fee by the property manager. Then I was avoided for a week. When I finally got ahold of someone I was told I didn’t pass the credit check. Then I was told that they didn’t have to give me the money back. Don’t give these people no money up front. They will not give it back.Well if you would like to make it right then you should give me the $600 that I gave to your property manager.
To much police activity there not safe for my family I can wait to end my lease
They dont even deserve the one I wish there was a zero. They have not held their word from stuff they told us when we first signed up, the management is very rude and awful, the maintenance doesnt fix stuff as our shower his broken about six times this year amongst many other issues, The laundry machines that they have an a big unit have eaten my money many times they dont care and overall I beg you please do not make the same mistake I did!!! Please understand that its rated this way because you have to at least give it a one and the other review was probably a friend or employee - only ONE positive. PLEASE read the others..
With all the money yall get from mine and everyones rent you cant get your lazy workers to throw salt melt on the lot. You have people and cars slipping and sliding all over the place. Unsafe lot Im about to report your facility
They are an absolutely horrible company, will not give me my deposit back for not even my application, but because the second applicant had something on his background that he did not know about. I am now out of a place to live and a sum of $440. I honestly do not recommend applying for these apartments, they will screw you over if for any reason you get denied.
Ive lived here for 7 months and its been acceptable. The windows are drafty in my apartment, so I do hear some noise from the parking lot. Overall Im paying more than I would prefer to live in a small dated apartment, but maintenance rocks! The problems Ive had were fixed within 24 hours. I havent had any issues with pests(thank heaven); the apartment was pretty clean when I moved in. Office staff arent overly friendly, but Im not there to chat. If I go to the office its to have a problem resolved, and they have always taken care of it quickly. Out of the three property management companies Ive dealt with in Greeley, this is the best.
Worst management ever. The place pretty much runs itself. My daughters lived there and were paying 890 for a 2 bedroom. They stayed a year. When it came time to go, my husband who works as a maintenance supervisor for another reputable complex went through and made it move in ready so the girls would get their deposit back. He even had his professional carpet guys come in and do the whole apartment. When my daughters asked for their deposit they were handed a bill that said they werent going to get any of it back because the carpets werent clean. So glad that I was smart enough to figure out this is a scheme done by office managers. I laughed in their face gave them the receipt for the professionally cleaned carpet.Never once were we told sorry for the miss understanding or anything, but yet made to feel like the bad guys cause I didnt let you rip my kids off like you do so many others. I wonder what percent of people actually get a deposit back.
This place is awful. I lived here a little over a year. It is dirty and infested with bugs. The appartment was dirty and there were dried roaches in the door jams. It was horrible. When I moved into my newly renovated apartment the front door wouldnt close right so it was hard to lock the door properly. I could stick my hand through my closed front door outside. You could see into my bathroom with the door closed. When I reported these issues they had a manager call me. She said, Our staff worked hard on this apartment and thought youd like it. You complain about every thing. They then had corporate call me to offer me out of my lease. I couldnt afford to move and explained i just needed my front door and bathroom door to close. Below are photos of what I moved into. They cant and wont do anything to better the property. These are just my basic complaints. 😑
I don’t have a problem when it comes to me and my children living here at all, Maintance is always working hard to improve the buildings and the office people are Great and are always understanding ! I don’t have a problem with the neighbors and honestly The Pines of Southmoor has become a safe and better place to live over the years !!!
This place was the worst place I have ever lived in. The leasing agent lied to us when we first moved in back in 2013 by telling us we had to pay the gas and electric bills directly to the utility companies. When we renewed our lease, we were told that we were paying for the whole buildings utility bills for an entire year!!! We spent a month trying to get a refund from the management company and kept getting the run around. We never did get the money back. Then the second year, we kept getting notices almost every month that we owed money that we didnt owe. They said that we owed more rent than what was on the lease agreement and tried to say that we didnt pay half our rent and we owed late fees, which we paid on time and in full every month. There was also another charge they tried to get us to pay that they never told us what it was. My husband and I had to go into the office almost every month due to incorrect notices. Also while we lived there, one of the cabinets fell off the wall in the kitchen and almost landed on my husband. He moved just before it fell. After we moved out, we never received a bill and they turned us over to a collection agency even though they had our forwarding address. This was a horrible experience that I never want to have again!!!!
I lived here one year. The apartment was smaller than what I was shown, the parking lot was over crowded, and overall, I was glad to leave.
Worst place I’ve ever rented from. Lots of unnecessary fees, over priced, terrible neighborhood. Incorrectly charged me for damages after moving out. Do not recommend!
This place is awful. They dont fix things right. Then when u report things they say that they arent fixing anything right now BC of inspection is what I was told. Then they kick u out with children with only 5 days to find a new place n dont even try to hear your side of everything even though u never had any problems in ur two plus years living there. O and they will charge u for things they wouldnt let you report and if their maintenance did something wrong thats your fault also. I finally realized it was a blessing a family is homeless though.
I wish there was a review where I could put no stars. This place will rip you off left and right. They are unsafe, unsanitary, overpriced, small only to mention a few. Drug dealings taking place right in the parking lot. Prostitutes living in the buildings. I tried to get out of my lease by a lease take over and they undermined me by going behind my back to rent other units to the people that wanted mine. Then they said I was in breach of my lease. They dont fix things. Needles in the street, garbage all over, cigarette butts in the kids playground, pool is a greenish brown, washers and dryers broken all of the time. Most of all incompetent Management!!!
I just moved here June 2019 and i wouldnt suggest anyone who wants to live fair/good living environment to this apartment....already a nightmare...cant sleep so noisy..slept on my car one day...the managment dont care once you sign the contract...
I give it a star because they do not have 0. the worst place to live and the most informal and opportunistic people that exist. I do not recommend anyone. they act at convenience and the managers and workers the worst service.
Worst apartment ever. Overpriced, the service is garbage. Ive asked them to repair the HOLE IN MY CEILING, four different times since the day I moved in, which is now swollen with water and dripping, my heat doesnt work even though they just did heater maintenance.
Awful management,Needed a new air conditioning filter and the maintenance guy basically came to our apartment laughed at us and said he won’t fix it because he’s done with work for the day and never came back to fix it. Trash management. Do not rent here!!!!!
I wanted to move into this place but now Im second guessing it. The price really is high for the apartment they showed me. The place I was at was a house that I was paying 1300 for the whole thing including huge back yard, 3 bedrooms, front yard and a garage. The small 3 bedroom at this place is almost as much as my home I was renting. when I went yo check this place out i realised this aint worth it at all!!! management does seem like they need to go and be replaced with motivated younger folks and not lazy rude old people trying to rip the public off with such junk of apartments that can be rented 200 dollars cheeper.
Lived here from June 2015- June 2017 for college and it was awful. When my girlfriend and I moved in the carpets smelled like urine and after a week of arguing I got them replaced for free. The parking lot was so icy during the winter we slipped regularly and there was always trash and litter all over. One of the windows was so drafty it would always leak water when it rained. I remember on the 4th of July our carbon monoxide alarm went off because of fireworks being lit in the parking lot. We left and were charged a ridiculous amount for damages (including the carpet) that had been listed on our move-in sheet in 2015.I dont usually leave reviews but this was an awful first apartment experience for my girlfriend and me.If you are looking for a place to live you are better off ANYWHERE else in Greeley. If you are in Greeley to attend UNCO dont make the same mistake we did and lease with the Pines at Southmoor. #uncbears
THE WORST apartment complex I have ever lived in! Extremely over priced and terribly small. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I would give it zero stars if I could. Management is lazy and unorganized, they refuse to fix any problems regarding the apartment or other tenants. And the tenents have no respect for rules of apartment living. The building I stayed in was flooded twice and was without water several times over the course of a year. And now they are trying to charge me almost $1000 for cleaning?! It was cleaner when I moved out than when I moved in.
They were nice getting kicked iu cause didnt pay my rent i akways pay the first or the third each month they closed my account they refused my money
Moved in with the intent of moving at the end of the year lease. Inner management office communication is horrible to non-existent. Management to residents communications is done by posting paper messages on residents doors. This includes sensitive rental information.Parking is not restricted to number of vehicles per household/apartment. Unless you get home before 6pm, youre walking across the complex or from an adjacent lot to your apartment.Parental supervision is not mandatory for children playing at the playground or other areas.I would not recommend this place to a friend nor my enemy.
Absolute garbage dump. Management needs to be fired. They REFUSE to cooperate with police officers. Cameras dont work. Maintenance vandalized property. Absolute disregard for privacy. They will literally nickel and dime you for everything they can. They have a VERY BAD rodent problem. My daughter was hospitalized and diagnosed with asthma because of the mouse pee. Maintenance did nothing. Shelley Wheeler is a rude disgrace of a person and should not work any where in management with her poor people and communication skills. Children are left unattended to be free and vandalize everything they can. Not to mention all the drug houses and gang members they allow in. There was a methamphetamine lab right underneath us. Live somewhere else. Seriously.
I had 2 cats in beginning of the lease i informed them paid all my fees and I was paying extra $40 a month to help with the last months rent to make it easy. I got rid of the pets around August roughly and informed them they checked my apartment and confirmed cats were gone so we signed papers to confirm it. but they continued to charge me for the cats and told me about 6 months later that I owe $55.69 for the cats or else Ill be evicted. I called and complained and she said we never signed papers which i did in her office! I believe her name is Liz (the younger lady). And if for some odd reason there was still more papers she should of informed me when she came in and inspected my apartment. Also not a safe area to live around cops are always around and usually in groups of 4-8 cars overall bad apartments. They need to improve on being organized, putting in work orders for the maintenance people, and owning up to their mistakes.
Priced right for a budget Family not huge spaces but cant complain for the Price also staff is awsome in dealing with unrulies ...
The Pines is riddled with roaches and trash. No matter how clean you keep the place they are infested. The grounds have trash and dog feces every where. The maintenance crew does not and will not fix issues on the property or in an apartment. These are some of the worst apartments in Greeley. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. It is hands down the most disgusting place to live with multiple areas of issues that they refuse to ever take care of. This place needs to be torn down. It is infested with bugs and we had to deal with a huge bed bug problem due to this place. Also black mold and cockroaches were in this appartment and we werent even in the low income area we were paying the highest price for a place here. Never any parking at all causing people to illegally park in the fire lanes, and not to mention when you ask management to do something about present problems they say they will take care of it and never do. They are a bunch of lazy slugs that dont care about the well being of their customers. The trash bins are completely full and never emptied with disgusting trash overflowing and spread across the parking lot. The appartment was never cleaned when we moved in and I am a very clean organized person who cleans everyday and we thoroughly cleaned the inside deeply but they refused to give us a deposit back even though it was spotless in there. Drug addicts and prostitutes are always in the parking lots taking up parking spaces so as a woman I get to walk from the mall parking all the way to my appoartment at night... totally not safe. So glad we moved out of there but thanks to the Pines we have to have an exterminator visit us every 3 months to do bed bug extermination. Totally pathetic.
Un helpful staff. I moved into a unit witch had never been cleaned. Insted of walking into a fresh clean place for my family and I. I walked into a mess, dirt all over the floor, and mold backed up in the kitchen. Witch we had to clean our self might I add. For the office told me it was not there problem. Along with a living room and bed room that flood with heavy rain. Not from the windows but from the bottom of the floor where the base boards are. Witch the office had also said there is nothing they can do about it. Except to put down towels to soke up water. Not only dose it take them for ever to fix anything if they can mange to do so, they take for ever and half ass the matter. Do not moved here if you want to enjoy your apartment and relax after a long day at work. Wish I had that warning
This place is awful. Not only why is it over priced. But they are unorganized and uncoropatibe. We moved in and the next month they tried to charge me an extra $109 because they didnt put my application fees in my file. Within the next month maintenance had changed my mailbox key and not told us. They also told the post office not to deliever our mail because we no longer lived there. Half way through the 3rd month and have had nothing but problems
Prices are outrageous, grounds always a mess, you can find a beer or liquor bottle laying in the parking lot on any given day, the manager is a horrible women every note or conversation ends in a threat. Cant wait to get out of here.
Terrible place. They wouldnt show us our apartment before we moved in. After a few months, they start harassing you, and the parking lots are always disgusting. One maintenance man, a new one, always watches you. The office workers are rude. You cant even cough without someone making a noise complaint. DO NOT RENT HERE. The online descriptions are nothing what they actually are. The office people have family/and or friends that live there that they give slack, such as letting their dogs run around without being on a leash, or not holding onto the leash while the dog is on it. They say the have strict leash laws for the dogs at those apartments. To access the swimming pool, you have to walk through the office, and the pool is only open when the office is open, and there isnt a 24 hr fitness center, Closes when the office closes, and the washer & dryers ruin your clothes with stains, and melts them.
Would rather give no star!!
Even if youre desperate dont bother with this hell hole. The first week I lived there my apartment flooded twice cause the sewer backed up, no one in the office ataua the same so if something should happen you best better take pictures and documents because they won t.While I live there my apartment flooded 2 twice, my dishwasher broke ( request 5 times, 3 in person to get fixed) never fixed. Anytime it rained the living room would flood cause the water would come under the front door frame (requested 3 times to be fixed and was told it cant.)Management never know what is going on or how the apartments are set up, there is no communication at all and any chance they get they will nickel n dime you for anything!!!I spent a full week cleaning the apartment when I was moving out just to get told they took $120 out of my $1049 deposit because it was dirty. This place is the shadest slum lord place ever! Dont ever move here!
Maintenance man keeps parking in a no-parking zone
Warning! This has been the worst apartment experience I have ever had! When going over the lease they inform you reasonable cleaning charges may apply (okay, of course as is with any apartment). However, if ANY cleaning needs to done they charge a minimum of $455.00. We left our apartment in good condition (as evident by our photos), but they ended up charging us nearly $1,000 total to clean an already clean apartment. I dont know what they pay their cleaning staff, but if there is an open position sign me up.I went to talk with the property manager Shelly and she completely disregarded my e-mails and calls. There are numerous cheaper options around Greeley with much better service. There is a reason these apartments have terrible reviews - their manager doesnt seem to care at all for the tenants just $$$.
DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT LIVING HERE!!!Just a filthy place infested with cockroaches. And the lease strips you of any chance of getting your money back.Gang Graffiti, Broken Liquor Bottles, Overflowing Garbage Dumpsters, Dirty Mattresses and Broken Furniture in the parking Lot, Abandoned Cars. I cant believe the health department hasnt shut them down.Dont fall for we are changing and making improvements BS like I did.I feel sorry for the people who dont have another option.
Well it seems once they got a new property manager from monarch management corp. they now dont take section 8 from greeley housing authority and instead of them sending out a letter to let everyone know the day they decided this you have to find out when you go in the office to talk about the new rent prices, and they tell you they no longer going with the city housing authority and pretty much only give you 2 and half months to find a new place to live. i really like to know when they decided they were moving away from the housing authority since if it was the beginning of this year a notice should been sent out but there excuse will be my caseworker should of told me but she didnt even know until i informed her about it the same day i found out. so now i am scrambling to find a place so i can keep my section 8 but since the major flooding we had a couple years ago hardly anything if available or way to high in rent for section 8 1 bedroom 1 bath vouchers. oh yeah the manager was suppose to write me a letter to tell me why they decided to move away from the city housing authority i never got it. the only reason i moved here is because they accept section 8 that is the only reason if i was not on section 8 i would of picked somewhere else.and they having a nice scam going on here as well since they now will charge you a trash and water fee mine was 20 dollar on top of my new rent if i decided to stay and they tried to do this the beginning of this year by charging me 10 dollars for trash and water which they couldnt since i already had a contract and on a different section 8 program but it seems in the state of colorado they can do this extra charge for water and trash and it seems they can charge you as much as they want and when they want so wont surprise me if they start charging 50 dollars or more. so if i was you i would go somewhere else there are 100 times better places and way bigger places in greeley co for the price this place is charging.
So the pool is closed on Sunday, when everyone is home? Also a 3 day eviction notice on my door 4 days after move in because they made an error and then avoided me for 3 days. All fire alarms died after 2 days of being there, youd think they would check those before a new person moved in.
Yes I agree with Vince, Why hasnt the health department come around to do their inspection. The garbage bins are packed to the top and smells and yes i have seen broken bottles on the floor near the dumpster, im not sure if non-residents are dumping their garbage here, I have seen couple times old and young folks inside the dumpsters picking out cans. I have seen cops showing up at this apartment at least three times a month to arrest someone and dont be suprised if some drunk or reckless driver pulls up next to your car and side swipes you, since the parking space is not assigned. My honda was side swiped in the lot (monday morning on my way to work) I caint afford an increase in my insurance or have it repaired. I asked the manager for the security video feed and she said they dont work. Also dont be surprised to see lots of dogs here, There are pit bulls and other kinds of dogs that run around free without a leash and the shocking part is that they all hang around the play ground. I have seen the dogs break out into a fight twice. Matter of time before a pit bull or that massive huge dog that is there to attack and kill a child. Mothers out there please be aware of this, if you dont believe me, drive to where the play ground is on a weekend or afternoon on a weekday and see for yourself. Again why hasnt the health department taken any action. Also, if you got this place, your deposit is gone. I moved in for 6 months and they took 30 images showing damages that were there when i moved in. I caint afford a lawyer but i too have images when i moved in so initially they said i owe them $950 in damages then after some proof and receipts of oil drip pans i replaced they said i owe them $300 and they will keep my deposit for cleaning fees. I also met with current tenant that is now leasing my unit and guess what, nothing was cleaned or replaced that they claimed i damaged, so if there is a lawyer out there, that is willing to take this case and i thingk there is at least 100 tenants here that have been victimized by the pines at southmoore.Contact me at stevekerry34@gmail and the current resident is willing to help me out with proof if we need images. I also have the contact details of the previous tenant that was here before me so we can compare notes and images of damages they charged him. I was told initially 7 times that my deposit was sent out the full $300. Only on the 8th call they said I owe them. So the manager said, sorry but I am not refunding your security deposit we need it for the cleaning fees. Wish I took a video recorder and filmed the entire session with the manager and uploaded it to youtube. I hope someone can do this. The things she said you could clearly see she was trying to get out of me as much as possible. I read online its illigal for a landlord to keep the deposit for cleaning fees, only if you caused serious damage, but not wear and tear. Like a 10 year old carpet and claiming damage on it that was done over years of use with folks walking with their shoes and this is a pet complex so dogs pee and poop on these carpets.
Great place to live in.
Way wayyy overpriced management kinda sucks, the laundryroom dryers suck, and it takes them forever to come and fix something wrong in the apartment. And when one thing gets fixed another problem comes up. Just been a frustrating time for me here
Very expensive and small size rooms. really hate to stay .. bad office staff
Worst apartment complex ever!! Never Rent here. Staff is rude and inconsiderate and they charge you for extra payments after moving out for a dirty bathroom after keeping the thousand dollar deposit. Someone tried breaking into my apartment, luckily I have an american bulldog that more than likely scared them off. They are one star for a reason!!!!
The Management doesnt work with you, they bill you for damages/cleaning caused by their lack of maintenance and then take you to collections for payment for something they should have taken care of...you are better off living outside!
Waste of time and money!
The Pines at Southmoor was thee worst apartment Ive ever had the displeasure of living in.
I loved the truth if I would like to be able to live there with my children and my husband I only hope in God that they can help us.
