I really like living here at Village Greens. The team that works here are very quick to help. The newer manager Amanda is a very nice lady that helped me get assistance with my rent when I feel down on my luck, they genuinely were nice and understanding and helpful. That meant a lot to me given most landlords just want the money and do not really care, but these people do! They have put in a radical dog park that my pup just loves. For an older place this complex is kept up very nice. It is a good place to live.

Lived at VG for eight very nice years. The staff was responsive and friendly and willing to make upgrades when needed. Nice pool and community garden! The staff has a tough time getting people to NOT smoke in the buildings....thats my only complaint. Aging apartments, but cozy!

If you have a choice and room in your budget, I would highly recommend to NOT live here for the following reasons and opinions. In the almost 2 years we have been living here, its not a wonder there is such a high turn over rate with residents. The first summer we were here, there was a shooting on the property (this can be verified with Greeley PD) with no action from management to put in any safety measures or to put up cameras despite many residents fleeing for fear of their own safety. There have also been shootings just down the street since. My significant other and I have had our cars vandalized multiple times on the property, again with no safety measures put in place or even cameras put up after making complaints with management. And parking regulations are not really enforced for the parking lots so tons of people park in the lots who dont live here, even though there are signs around the property stating the lots are for residents only. The laundry on site is a joke but its cheap - the washers and dryers half the time dont work properly, even if you call the service number posted on the machines. The buildings remain dirty day after day, including the laundry room because there is no regular house keeping for common areas such as the resident building entrances, the resident hallways and the laundry room. The building hallways continually smell like a dirty ashtray. The noise levels that are deemed acceptable are ridiculous! I have heard music inside our ground level apartment from the third floor and have also brought up noise issues to management multiple times with no real solution or even a noticeable attempt to create any sound barriers. When people are paying thousands of dollars for the living conditions described here, its not worth it in my opinion to live here. If youre going to be making a house payment every month for something you dont own, do yourself a favor and steer clear!

We just re-signed our lease for another year. The apartments are fairly old so you can hear the people above you fairly easily sometimes. But I haven’t ever had any real problems with neighbors or staff. It’s a little pricey for what you get but a lot of that has to do with supply/demand in this. Overall it’s not a bad place to be. I mean, we did sign another lease.

I’ve lived at this property for over a year and haven’t had any issues with the building or management. It’s quiet, very reasonably priced, and has more than enough living space in my two bedroom unit than other places I’ve seen at the same price.

Honestly, this complex is garbage. As Greeley grows & expands, its a shame that rent has inflated so much. That being said, not many complexes accept pets. This one does, but with the trade off of unsafe, dirty, loud, unkempt buildings. Seriously when I moved in I had an infestation of carpet beetles. A couple weeks later, next door neighbor gets arrested for a hit and run in the complex parking lot (I literally watched the PD take him from my peephole and heard it all). About a month later, bathtub faucet wouldnt stop running. Maintenance came and fixed it, but left a huge mess in my bathtub. Called this morning about leaking heater vents (radiant heating, look it up, its awful), and was told Id be contacted regarding it all. No calls or emails, just a maintenance notice saying it was fixed. So I have no idea what was broken or what they did. What I do know is that they left literal trash in my apartment near what they fixed, stained my curtains, and didnt put anything back as it was. I came home from work to actual TRASH and like leaves or something on my carpet (I dont even know). Disgusting. Like thats unacceptable. Do not enter anothers home and leave actual trash. Awful. Maintenance is the least of my frustrations though, because while theyve been VERY dirty, they do respond fairly quickly. The fellow tenants are mostly...colorful to put it nicely. Screaming children (despite enforced quiet hours), kids of one of my neighbors have ACTUALLY run up to my car and kicked it while I was in it in park (like WTF, parent your children please), yelling roommates, barking dogs, and Ive even heard tenants beating their dog as awful as that is. The hallways constantly smell AWFUL (weed odor seeps through walls), and will have just random bits of trash and lord knows what lying around. Im pretty sure the light outside my unit door has old food on it?! Like I said, I DONT EVEN KNOW. This place is just a joke and it just sucks that Greeley rent is as high as it is because despite being on the lower end, I do not deserve to be paying as much as I do ($1050 after untilities for a 1 bed/bath) for this disgusting complex. The communal laundry is AWFUL and Im pretty sure in the 9 months Ive lived here Ive seen it cleaned once. Head to a loved ones place or to Laundry Loft to do it. I just advise that you do AS MUCH research as you can to find a better rental, before settling (just like I did) on this joke of a complex. I just wish Greeley had more to choose from because if there were more options around these prices, you best believe I would have avoided Village Green at all costs. Units will have cabinets that dont shut all the way, pet odors from previous tenants, windows that dont shut/lock all the way (thats a fun one), stains, horrible craftsmanship, and Im sure youll unfortunately run into maintenance issues, and then end up with a unit that looks like it was literally ransacked upon maintenances completion of your work order. Choose wisely, residents of Greeley, dont end up here, Im sure you could find something MUCH better!

Cool community, great people. I dont know how they manage with the staff there though, we had lights broken for months without fixing, bugs in the wall making noises, cracks where they should be. Also, they evicted my best friend by neglecting his payment to make his payment overdue so they could free the apartment. Oh, and theres bed bugs all over the place. I had to break the lease, and THEN pay another $2,000 that was not mentioned in the contract. If you want that kind of service, be homeless.

No where is perfect but this place came dang close! Felt safe, walking to my car at 4am for work, always. Manager Aschley is a gem, she is always so friendly and helpful. If I ever need to rent again, I will definitely start here. No major complaints other than silly neighbors, but thats life. This was a great community to be a part of for 2yrs with 2 dogs and 2 small kids. I absolutely recommend living here.

If you value your belongings, especially your vehicles, do not rent from here. Our cars have been broken into. Hit and run was just done to my pickup, all of which were reported. Manager stated, let me know if there is anything I can do, I said, you can install some securities cameras already. He gave me some stupid excuse about not getting approved for some small amount. Also, bed bugs, theyve been going on since October 2018. Not once did we receive any notice or heads up on it. Only way we figured out was because the people who live near the bed bugs found out and informed me of it .The official notice I did receive from managment was on a Friday, right before 5, so obviously I couldnt call and complain since they close at 5p, via notice on my door. And even then that noticed informed me of the bug exterminator coming in that Monday to spray for them throughout our building. Not even enough notice to inform my employer I would be missing work That following Monday, since my dogs needed to be out of the apartment the whole day. So, with that sad, they have no care in the world for you or your items, but they sure will attack you with last minute notices and fees without a problem. 😉

The staff is cool but the rules are not enforced. Parking is jacked. Too many people living in apartments and nothing is done. Hell, there’s a two bedroom with like 5 adults and a mess of kids. There are dog breed restrictions against pitbulls and aggressive breeds but they’re the most common dogs here. No one picks up their dog poop so it’s literally everywhere. Rules against smoking cigarettes and marijuana indoors but the entire place smells like an ash tray.

I have lived in Village Green Apartments for going on 4 years and had I done a review the first few years, I would have rated as a 5. However, over the past year management has changed and they seem to want to push out the good people and replace them with less than desirable. I constantly complain about the hallways smelling of weed, to the point where I have now had delivery drivers ask me to meet them outside. Although Ashlie tries her best to find the source, I often feel she is the only one trying. I have had a lightbulb out for months and despite repeated requests for a new one, I just went a bought one myself. It also seems that they are making it harder to pay rent, taking away options of different certified funds. Ive had my identity stolen in the past and hate using online payments, but seems that it is quickly becoming the only way they will take payments. Ive also had birds in and out of my walls over the years and no matter how many complaints I make, this never seems to be fixed. I can honestly say that Ashlie is great and the only reason I renewed my lease this last year, but even she can not overcome this new management and maintenance team, which Ive caught on video looking through my personal equipment. This will be my last year at Village Green Apartments.

First miscalculated rent payment in ten months. We have never missed a payment or were late the entire time we have lived here. I think we have been great tenants, never caused problems, always followed the rules, stayed civil with the tenants around us even when their dogs would howl all morning, or when it sounded like there was a Zumba class going on upstairs, or when some degenerate who thought it would be fun to deface private property vandalized our vehicle. Our kindness and respect was not returned when we paid rent on time as usual. They noticed it was out of the ordinary that the amount was short. So instead of making a quick call or email to inquire about the situation they wait until they can charge a late fee before they say anything.Their customer service skills are sub-par once they have you on a lease. These apartments are very nice for the area, and the grounds are well maintained. However, if you make one mistake they will take advantage of the situation. We have dealt with much worse, but we expected more from them. We are very disappointed in the way they treated the situation.

I wish I could give negative 5 stars. Ive lived here for 10 months and have hated it. For one our apartment is infested with bed bugs and they refuse to acknowledge this fact. We actually have one in a bag that is very obvious its a bed bug and my husband and mother in law are covered in bites and they persistently say its dust mites. Dust mites are not as big as my 2 year olds finger nail and have told us we have to live with the bugs for 4 days before anything is done. Im furious. They say they will treat it as bed bugs but insist its dust mites. (sounds odd right) 2nd you cant control how much you pay for utilities, even if you go the entire month without using anything you still pay, and the heater is always going no matter what your thermostat is at. This place is disgusting. Their maintenance men are peeping Toms, faucets and showers leak, doors are falling apart. Our electrical outlets are placed directly above the heater causing cords to over heat, our windows dont seal, carpet is coming up with nails sticking out stabbing our feet as we walk. If I wouldve done more research during my frantic house searching these apartments wouldve been not even on the list.

I lived at village green for 3 years when i moved out they decided to try and charge me for carpet damages due to a pet even though i never owned a pet, i submitted my letter of dispute on time, yet they still reported on my credit that i left early (untrue i stayed my whole lease) i owe them a ridiculous amount of money (again untrue) and they have never answered my letter of disputed. I am of course documenting everything for court, but this is preventing me from renting a place i am about to be homeless due to the shady actions of the management team here. I am calling a lawyer, but what to do until then? I suggest you find somewhere else to rent from these people are dishonest crooks!!!! Also want to point out they keep trying to tell me it was not them who put the bad score on my credit report, like i cant see who did it are these guys serious? Then they reply to reach out to their corporate office which i have called 3 times and have not had a return call nice try but you have not returned a single call. It is okay though i have a meeting with my lawyer today, bet you will call back when my lawyer calls!!!!!

Slumlords at the best! Apt 108 in building 1201 has foundation cracks in living room and both bedrooms. This apartment shouldnt be rented out until this problem is fixed. When it rained water seeped through foundation soaking carpets which l left us out of a place to live for three days while they fixed the problem. Which they fixed it by opening windows and using fans to dry it out. When I mentioned the foundation cracks to the maintenance man he acted like I was lying. Once j showed him the cracks he acted like he didnt know about them and said that it would be too much to fix and pretty much that we had to deal with it and hope it didnt rain. To top it all off we had to pay full rent when we were unable to live in the apartment for part of the month.

This place is horrible. We had bed bugs and they told me that we had to pay for them to exterminate. We spent $300 in laundry to get everything clean and get rid of them. The laundry room is covered in bed bugs everywhere. We moved out before I lease was up because there was so many gangs they were letting in. I will never recommend anyone to live here. The hallways wreak.

They dont deserve a 1 start but theirs nothing lower. Since moving in I have had over 8k of items stolen, witnessed 3 fights in the parking lot, had a tank of gas stolen from my truck, 5 separate times homeless people have been sleeping in the hallway and someone has been shot and killed in the parking lot. The complex management is full of false promises and the staff changes so often everything gets overlooked. A few examples of this, was promised security camera were going to be installed over a year ago, was promised security locks on the building doors over a year ago that hasnt happened, the management staff doesnt return calls. Just a complete dump of a complex.

Dimly lit hallways greet you as you walk into the dated building. Bedrooms are extremely small - as in you can stuff a full size bed in there with just enough room to squeeze by to get to closet door. Dont even consider a queen size bed even in the larger of the two North Korean cell-sized rooms. If you are considering the first floor - look out - staff wont tell you that there are no A/Cs on the first floor and even on a cool Colorado day those rooms are much hotter than they should be.Staff largely non-responsive and disorganized. Its not that the property is ugly and dilapidated (it is) - its the arrogance and incompetence of the office staff (i.e. Zoe). Avoid this property at all costs. Unless of course you want to live in what appears to be an over-priced halfway house.

First of all let me just say $1,100 for this place is a complete rip off. The hallways reek of Marijuana and cigarettes even though people are not supposed to smoke in the hallways. Second, I was also told hang pictures at your own risk because of possible asbestos. Im going to contact the health department regarding that to see if its even legal. Lastly, the apartment we looked at stunk like animal pee, the floor was stained, and the kitchen had damage as well. Heres an idea Village Green, how about setting up a showroom apartment so you can at least have something worth looking at. I wouldnt recommend this apartment to anyone mainly because of the whole asbestos thing.

This was an excellent place to live until a new management company took over. Not only do they fail to enforce the noise rules in the lease, the new management company decided the office (which is in the same building as the laundry room and fitness center) wasnt luxurious enough. They remodeled the office without permits. This place was built in the 70s and theres an asbestos disclosure in the lease, so they cant say they didnt know. They ripped open asbestos-filled walls with no hazmat team and contaminated the laundry room and fitness center, exposing over 300 tenants (including children) to asbestos fibers in the air. They have also failed to keep fire suppression equipment up to date. As of winter 2012, there are OSHA, housing department and fire department investigations going on.

As a tenant currently living here on property, reading this review had me a little concerned so I went into the office and addressed my concerns about what Jayne Doe had said. I myself have actually received a noise complaint so I can tell you first hand that they DO enforce the noise rules. As to accusations about the asbestos and other investigations, the company had a recent OSHA inspection, not investigation, and passed with flying colors. I have also noticed that they have had a recent change in maintenance staff, positive change on-site in my opinion, which could have been why things were supposedly not getting done properly or according to code. Every time I encountered him, he was rude and did a terrible job fixing things in a timely and effective manner. I absolutely love where I live and to be honest, the property is one of the most quiet places in Greeley it seems. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to live: students, families, couples, singles and the elderly, theyre all here.
