Despite what others may say, I actually really love this place. The people have always been super helpful and quick to help me. The building has absolutely seen better days, but I put that more on a lack of government-level funding.
On June 3rd at around 4:30 the manager, a white lady in her mid 40s-50s was very rude when we politely asked for a piece of tape, then proceeded to yell at us, making a scene when we were walking in to change my address. The lady had no sense of customer service care. Had a terrible experience.
This place is Serving the City of Grand Rapids very well. Im so glad this service is provided to the citizens of this County. For my benefit and yours.
I needed a package shipped to a friend and they ending up sending back to my own house definitely would not recommend here they got some polite workers but dumb as rocks
The staff at this location has always been super friendly and helpful. And I feel safe there during this pandemic, because the employees have enforced the mask mandate. I really appreciate that they care for our safety and their own and respect Michigan law.
Package sitting since the 15th. Now the 25th. No progress, no updates. T shirt for a Charity fundraiser, would be nice to have it while trying to actually raise funds. At this rate the event will be over before i get the shirt.
If you have something to drop off or physically ship out -- this is one of the best locations in the GR area. Theyre always quick and reliable on getting parcels out. Ive never found them to be rude on the phone or in person. If youre trying to call USPS... temper your expectations, youre dealing with a government run facility.
The workers are pretty consistently rude. Today I interacted with one named Liliana. I told her they were out of the small bubble mailers and therefore I had to use a different envelope that was not sealing well by licking it. I asked for a piece of scotch tape and she wouldn’t give it to me. She claimed they don’t have any unless I wanted to pay more for it and handed me a glue stick which did not work. It was not the most pleasant experience.
Absolute Wonderful experience at this location in the past few weeks. I used to dread having to mail any of my items from this branch because of how small and condescending the clerks make me feel for asking simple mailing questions.On more than several occasions In the past I have come into this branch only to be ignore by multiple clerks whether on their phones or gossiping amongst each other in the background while the line builds up. There are a few in particular that should not work with general public!HOWEVER!My mind was completely changed about this branch when I worked with a young lady by the name of Pat. She is phenomenal!!!! Having walked in first thing she did was welcome me to the postal service. I was floored with how bright and genuine her smile was. She not only lightened the mood of the postal service but she is very personable and kept me laughing. I never expected a trip to the post office would turn my mood around. It is because of how awesome she was to me that I have started to mail solely at the Michigan location! Every time I have mailed she has assisted me and I believe she deserves recognition for her excellent performance. I have watched her work consistently while her other coworkers would leave and she never once seemed to mind being left alone at times. Thank you Pat!
My package has been sitting in Grand Rapids for three days past the ‘expected delivery date’. When I checked the status today, it said they ‘attempted delivery, but couldn’t access delivery location’. I live in an easily accessible location, there are no gates or locks and the street is clear. Packages from other carriers have been arriving, no excuses. Get it together USPS. Never using this carrier again.
I ship a lot of boxes a year. In excess of 3000. This post office used to be hard to deal with. Many bad apples. However, I changed my attitude by respecting the people who work here along with saying please and thank you more often. I do also go out of my way to get them gift cards a couple times a year. I have seen quite a change. If you are nice to someone they are usually nice in return. It is too bad most people here dont follow that example.
Package has been pending acceptance for 2 days now. Expected this in a day, only live 2 hours away. Wish i could just go there and get it.
My package was supposed to be delivered yesterday. However, I’m still experiencing the luxury of wondering where it’s at as well as when it will be delivered. If it were possible, USPS would get zero stars.
So, anyone who is saying that they had a good experience with this post office must have truly been there on a very very good day. I was on hold for 45 minutes, and never reached any human interaction with anyone there. Every single post office I have gone to has had someone pick up the phone after waiting for maybe, 5 minutes on hold. And all I needed to know was if my package was physically there so I could pick it up. So then- when physically going there to ask one simple question I was told that my package was not there, and that I would not get a refund.
Very friendly staff! Prompt service. Understanding only 1 person at a time can be helped. Very great prices
I had a good experience here. The staff was very good at helping me find out what I wanted to know and shipping my parcel. I prefer this location to my actual local office, and I just want to remind everyone that these businesses are only a reflection of the employees working at the time.

Unbelievable, started calling at 6:30, its now 6:52 and operator will NOT answer. I have two phones calling and it rings for one minute and then hangs up on you!! Service? You cannot even answer the phone!! One sim0le question is all I had. So I have to drive there to get a question answered! I have seen other reviews with the sam situation. This is not acceptable. Now its 7 pm, and guess what? No answer, with two phones calling right after their system hangs up on you; half hour of calling! You need a new Customer service manager! Someone who can actually do the job and actually provide Customer Service.
The only reason I gave 3 stars is because when you try to contact the post office on the phone they make you listen to tons of is it this or that ect. With no option right away to talk to a representative. Honestly I listened for 3 minutes said what I needed just for it to send me right back to the main menu. I found that very frustrating especially when I just needed to ask a quick question. Hopefully after writing this review someone will change there options and put customer service right away as an option. Other then that I love the post office.
In here for 15-30 mins each time even if it’s to buy bubble wrap or to buy a stamp. I mine as well drive to meijer. The woman always working is incredibly slow. She’s completely unaware that she takes 10 minutes to ring someone up.

Worst service you could get at a USPS. The rude clerk that looked like she was a stand-in for one of the Predator movies even went so far as to mess up my passport application. They really need to hire new people.
I’m not normally a fan of USPS but this store stays open late and the employees are pleasant. If I have a choice, I typically go to this USPS store.
The worst post office Ive ever been to. And dont bother calling. You wont get thru to anybody, no matter how long you wait on hold.
Go to fed ex, extremely rude and at least at fed ex if a mistake is made it can get fixed.
Consistently awful customer service at this location.Further, the question I had to physically drive there to ask them could have easily been asked over the phone, but the phone line is all automated; dont call to expect to speak with a human because that is not an option.
Hi, Im a real customer and Do not work at the usps. Ive always had a kind and efficient service at the downtown post office.
They keep sending my mail back to sender. They also changed the names on my mailbox. I called trying to get help and never did. Im totally disgusted with this location.
Don’t ask people to take your survey if you shut your doors early every single day.

Worst post office ever! Never had a pleasant experience. Always get the same worker. Had two employees argue over who would do my passport photo before I walked out due to the lack of professionalism.
