I brought in my 1978 Chevy G20 van before a long road trip. It was having major oil leak situation. Chuck was incredibly informative and took the time to explain everything to me and even took me into the shop to show me everything. He not only got me in right away but even got the work done and parts ordered in time to get me on the road by the date I was supposed to leave! Very short notice! He found all the leaks and even found some issues that would have definitely left me stranded in the middle of nowhere. He was completely honest, told me exactly what need to be done now and what could wait. As a female with a older car it’s extremely hard to find mechanics that will be truthful and trustworthy. His prices were fair and matched with the pricing I researched online. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for honesty and a good explanation/education on what’s going on.

Chuck is an amazing person, very reasonable, knowledgeable and very down to earth. His team is professional and skillful. I highly recommend. Full Brake and new router service. Factory restored tire pressure and complete check/ diagnostics and recommendations on other items for the vehicle per BMW codes. Chuck will consult with you and confirm exactly what needs to be done as priority. Im am 100% confident and happy with the work done.

My husband and I have been taking our cars to Chuck for years, so even after I moved out of Glendale I have continued to go there. I appreciate that Chuck explains everything to me in a way I can understand it. If there are other repairs that need to be done that arent an immediate hazard, he prioritizes them so I know what is most important. Very friendly staff and always accommodating to my schedule. Its nice to know you have an honest, reliable mechanic you can trust with your car.

RPM came in under the estimated price and much earlier than other mechanics I’ve tried. Mr. Bacon prioritized and explained everything that needed to be done, and didn’t try to push anything that wasn’t important. It seems like AAA has more reliable reviews than other sites. I would definitely recommend RPM, and go back myself.

My two experiences with Chuck have both been excellent. He can be a bit crusty, but he does great work. You drive the car home and it’s been in good hands.

So back on Thursday, September 19th, my car suddenly broke down on I-210W. It was scary and I was by myself. I waited about 5 hours for a tow truck to bring my car to the mechanic for maintenance. It turns out my cars fuel reader was off, I had run out of gas, even though my reader said I had 1/4 of a tank. The mechanic got to work on it, but discovered other things, like my battery malfunctioning and a bent right wheel.Anyway, over a week later, the car was done. $1100.I picked it up and 5 days later, Im back at the mechanic because my car just breaks down all of a sudden.I insisted they replace the battery but they didnt. They claimed it was fine but my battery is dead now. I brought to another mechanic and they told me the battery has a short. Its faulty. The last mechanic should have replaced it.What did I just wait 1 week and spend over $1100 on?

I took my car to him and told him that i have a vibration in high speed. he checked it out and told me that my right and left axles need to be replaced. he told me will cost you $900.00. i told him to go ahead and do it. after few days later Chuck calls me and say the vibration still in the car, he took it to the transmission place thinking it could be the converter torque, checked out good, he told me it is a puzzle. after a week i told him i need my car back, when i went to pick it up he told me that his receptionist took it for a test drive, i told him is your receptionist a mechanic? he said NO, but she know about vibrations. after waiting 45 minutes for my car i told chuck please call your receptionist to bring my car back, then he told me she went to pick up a part. i said you are picking up a part with my car? he said we do it all the time, he uses customers cars to pick parts. he is a AAA member and i am going to report him to AAA as well.

I took my BMW here on an emergency clutch gone bad like no clutch left at all, Spoke with Chuck great guy by the way very friendly up front no BS at all. Chuck quoted me a price and lets just say its an estimate so things change from AtoB any how it was close to my quote on point, got my car back clean. Not sure why the bad reviews maybe they didnt understand the hard work behind mechanical issues but RPM automotive kept me informed on the daily basis they made sure I knew exactly what was wrong and had my car ready before it was supposed to be great work thank you all at RPM definitely a customer now!

My car battery died while on the way from Vegas to Hollywood after lots of use. Fortunately, called AAA and the driver was there in 15 minutes. While in the truck, I received a call from RPM asking me when I thought Id be there. I told him that we were in the truck and that I did not know how long it would be until we got there (since Id never been there before), but that I thought we were close. It was really loud in the truck, so I apologized and had to ask him to repeat himself a couple of times throughout the process. He then asked where we were, to which I said I wasnt sure (since again, Id never been there before), but that I again thought we were close and was looking around for street signs. The guy on the phone started sounding irritated, and asked in the slowest, Im talking to you like youre stupid, fakest nice voice Ive ever heard in my life, for me to ask the driver where we were and when we thought wed be there, and while I was turning my head to ask the you driver, heard the distinct click of a phone hanging up. Id just like to say to that gentleman: screw you, buddy. Having a crappy attitude and being rude to people who are lost isnt going to gain you any customers.Fortunately, the driver was awesome and took us to another shop (J&E) that was very fairly priced and extremely fast - we were in and out in about 10 minutes. Im not a fan of being spoken to like Im an idiot because someone else is having a bad day.

I own a VW Tiguan and was having problems with the drivers side door latch mechanism. Since I no longer live in Glendale, I took my vehicle to my local dealership where, not only did they charge TWICE of what RPM charges just for diagnostics, the estimated cost of repairs for replacing the electrical system in my door was close to $600 on top of the diagnostic charge. I said no thank you and was able to get my door to stay shut long enough to make it to RPM.Once there, the mechanic who serviced my car took my door panel off and immediately found the real problem - the cable to the door latch had completely snapped - it had NOTHING to do with the electrical system in the door. It was obvious that the dealership hadnt even investigated the problem because it was OBVIOUS to anyone who actually looked what the real problem was.The total for my part and repair was less than $100 and I was able to wait in a comfortable, clean, air conditioned office while enjoying a complimentary snack and coffee. They even hand washed my car for me once the repair was done!! Needless to say, Im NEVER going anywhere else but RPM for all of my future car problems!
