This is my third time to be at Dr August’s office. I accompanied my wife during her two procedures. Today, I went to the office for my own care for first time ever. I had to run late few minutes for I had to help my son before he goes to school. When I got there, they told me they will not take me in for I had been late two minutes over their grace wait time. Yes TWO minutes. In the two appointments my wife had been there before, they never took her in time. The first day actually we waited about an hour. This is such a hypocrisy!I will never go back to their office again. Such a heartless customer service.

I have been coming to Dr. August for years and have been very pleased with all of his services even though Im a tough customer! His staff are friendly and courteous and Dr. August is the penultimate professional. Free wifi. High-Tech equipment to include on site crown fabrication. Awesome dentist, 5 out of 5 stars!

I had the pleasure of working with Emily. She did an amazing job! Very thorough and she wasnt aggressive which is always a plus. She had good conversation and she spoke at the right times you know lol. The rest of the staff were nice and had good sense of humor. They seem to keep the facility neat and clean. I recommend at least a try.

I have been a patient of Dr Augusts for 15+ years. He is professional, thorough with his work, and his staff is extremely pleasant and courteous to work with. My wife and my 4 children are all patients and I have only great things to say about his practice.

You can get a crown right at your appointment ( he has milling machine!). Office is very clean, that is very important! And the last, but not the least: Doctor participating with my dental insurance!Just one sorry: why we could not find him earlier!

I was scheduled for my 6 month teeth cleaning appointment back in the June/July timeframe and rescheduled it. This was my first visit to the office since the start of COVID-19. Dr. August and his staff have taken all the necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of their patients from check in to check out. Dr. August’s staff has always been awesome, and it felt good knowing that are doing everything possible to ensure the best patient experience. Shout out to my dental hygienist, Kim for her excellent work on my teeth!

I am a new patient and found the entire staff to be most welcoming and professional. My hygienist (Debbie) was super personable and enjoyable to interact with — she made the time fly by! Dr. August was also the consummate professional with an easy, engaging demeanor. I highly recommend this practice to anyone seeking excellent dental care in a pleasant, professional environment!

I took my son here three weeks ago on the recommendation of a colleague. The hygienist and dentist were great -- very thorough. My biggest complaint is the wait time. Another patient had been left waiting for over an hour and eventually left. I was assured several times by staff that long wait times are not the norm. My son and I waited patiently for at least 45 minutes before we were taken back. Fast forward to today. My husband had a 2:45 appointment and is still there as of 4:30, over an hour and a half later. Time is extremely limited for all of us, especially during the week, and while I understand that each patient needs the utmost care and attention, its not fair to other patients to have to wait such a long time to be seen.

I was going to be a new patient at this practice. I filled out my paperwork ahead of time, arrived 15 minutes ahead of the actual appointment and still was not called upon 25 minutes after the appointment time started. I inquired as to the delay, whether it was due to sanitation of the rooms, etc due to the pandemic, no explanation was given aside from “there were new patients this morning and it’s an accumulation of things.” Left after 45 minutes of waiting and a full half hour after my scheduled appointment time. They called on two other patients who arrived after I did because they were current patients- clearly preferential treatment. Waste of time, leave and overall unpleasant experience. Ridiculous.

DR.August is a phenomenal dentist, he has a very outgoing personality very caring and genuine, he will fit you in for a urgent situation like ours, he is very thorough in explaining everything and patiently answers all questions you have. I haven’t found a dentist this great since my old one in Damascus retired, my husband went this time but I will definitely be making an appointment for myself. If you’re looking for a dentist to go to either for general care or an emergency I’d hit call for sure!! You will not be disappointed by far.

Have been a patient for 10 years. This practice has a state of the art high tech facility with a professional staff that tends to your needs. Dr. August himself is warm, friendly, welcoming and excels in his field. Location is easy to find and offers ample parking. The art of dentistry re-imagined.

All the staff at Family Dental Associates are courteous and professional. Dr. August is stellar and superior to the many dentists who have treated me over the years (I am 67). He reminds me of the dentist who took care of me when I was a child; gentle, witty, and communicative. I know that when he says there is a problem...there really is a problem. If it is something that does not have to be handled right away, he will tell you. So very happy to have finally found a good and honest dentist.

Dr. August and the clinical staff are top-notch. Pleasant, professional, helpful, and they genuinely make you feel as if youre an important part of their practice. Ive had a few less-than-positive encounters with the front-desk administrative staff, but overall my experience at this practice has been overwhelmingly positive. Dont let any negative impressions you may get from the front-desk staff turn you away. Dr. August is nothing short of awesome.

Dr August & his staff are wonderdul!! After 2 other dentists did not listen to me, he did. He helped fox the tooth that had hurt for so long! I love that he can mill crowns on site! He may be booked up, but whenever there has been a problem, his staff gets us in quickly and Dr August helps us out. On normal visists weve never had more than a 10, occasionally 15min wait. On emergency visits, staff warns us there might be a wait- the wait had never been very long, especially considering hes squeezing us in. Dr August has a great sense of humor. The hygienists ask about your health & are very careful during cleanings. Great practice!!

One of the best dentists Ive ever used. Got me in SAME DAY after a root canal for a crown he made IN HOUSE. In at four pm, out at 7 with a new crown. Great staff, very personable, knowledgeable, and Dr August made me feel calm during the procedure. Hes my new dentist.

Dr. August is warm and friendly. He took the time to visit and make me feel welcome. I had a cracked tooth and he was able to 3d print me a new tooth while I was in the chair. No more waiting for weeks for the crown to come in. This is a top of the line practice and I highly recommend Dr. August.

I have found the dentist and the staff to be very friendly and competent. I especially like the fact that the procedures and equipment are state-of-the-art. When I moved from Montgomery Village to Frederick, I stayed with Dr. August rather than switching to a dentist closer to Frederick. One of the best dentists Ive ever had.

They keep on charging me for unnecessary stuff they schedule my appointment back in december and i didnt even know i had appointment coming in may so i didnt even go there and they send me email to confirm so when i click on confirm there were no option saying not confirmed and i called twice to the office and nobody answer and now i got the bill for $ 50 for not show...what a bad way to get money from there patient...dont ever go there.

Dr. August was my dentist for several years and had my major dental work done by him. I moved to Germantown area some seven years back and changed my insurance. Now I need some more work (prosthodontics) and would like to see him again if he is accepting GEHA dental insurance.Dr. August is a perfect gentleman, very efficient, knowledgeable in his field. Rip off dental practice. They quote you a decent price to get in the door and the tack on thousands of dollars in on seen fees.
