We loved our vacation at DeBordieu. It was a very relaxing time for our family. I would highly recommend Dune Oaks Oasis. It is an amazing home with a lot of southern charm. It had everything we needed right there. It was also very clean. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the huge deck and in the hot tub. The beach was a short walk away and not very crowded. We also drove the golf cart to the beach and to see wildlife. If you want a great vacation, this is a wonderful community and home.

This was our first vacation at DeBordieu. While we enjoyed the community of DeBordieu, our house was not suitable for renting. Please beware of the rental PORTE MAILLOT. This house should not be rented!!! The entire house was filthy. There were constant bug sightings large and small. Everything in the entire house was dated. The bed coverings were stained and had clearly not been washed in quite some time. We planned to cook several nights during our stay but the kitchen appliances and cookware were not safe for using. We had small children staying in this home and the pickets on the porches and stairs were rotting and falling apart. On the last morning, there was a huge rainstorm and water poured into one of the windows, onto the furniture, and then to the floor. The yard was unkept and overgrown in the back, so it was unusable. This house is a safety hazard and should not be rented until it has been updated and the issues have been taken care of.

We had a wonderful time at Debordieu. the house is clean and well equipped.Perfect for a family escape during quarantine.We will return.

Beware of the rental property called Sea Spray. It’s has several safety issues and the pictures are grossly inaccurate. Everything in the kitchen was extremely old and the baking sheets were not usable. The oven was not full size and the smoke detector above the oven had been removed and the wires were left hanging out. There was a five foot drop to the beach were stairs used to be. If someone fell from there they would be slammed into the sea wall at high tide. There was also a rusty table on the screened in porch with jagged edges. The repair man they sent out said that they knew about all the issues of the home but they “can’t” make any repairs. Do NOT rent Sea Spray even if it’s the last house available. We tried to work with the rental agency to make things right but they have ignored our emails and phone calls. We will never rent from them again. I also think they are not publishing the true reviews of the unit on the website.

I am very sad to be writing this review - we were excited to attend my sisters wedding and after many months of planning, the venue, which is on property for DeBordieu Rentals had said they could not host the wedding due to COVID. I understand that requirement, however they would NOT give any of the guests the refunds on their deposits to their rental houses (which was several thousand dollars). Given that this situation is beyond our control, you would think they would work with us to give us all, or even partial, of our deposits for the houses we had planned to rent. They have been very difficult to work with and non-responsive. Also mentioned that insurance wouldnt cover it unless one of us has COVID. I know businesses are struggling right now, but you should not take advantage of people in this situation that they cannot control and would otherwise be spending money at your businesses. Very disappointed in the way this has been handled. I am hoping someone rents the property so we can get our deposit back, as that looks like that is our only chance to get our 2,000 dollars back...

Such a great place for a large group with varied interest and needs. Too many pluses to mention: 4 bedrooms facing ocean, multiple porches with 2 facing east and 2 facing west, elevator, great kitchen, sharp knives, 2 ice makers and 2 coffee pots. Great!But a huge infestation of ants in 2nd floor master bath and closet. Needs attention desperately!Thanks for a great week. We enjoyed our stay. Even though we where there for work we was able to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Loved sitting on the patio, always a nice breeze. Everything was comfortable. Easy to get in with the keyless entry. Check in and out was so convenient. Would definitely be staying here again when in the area.

246 Sea Island Drive (Sea Island House) was a decent house but had lots of large bugs inside which was disappointing. Mosquitoes in the yard made it unbearable to do much around the yard or to enjoy the nice decking. Biggest complaint was that the owners scheduled an all day install of a new 3rd floor HVAC system during our 4 day stay. This despite the 3rd floor cooling just fine. The install guys were at our house from 830 am until 530 pm which is unacceptable when paying over $4,000 to rent a home for 4 days. Immediately called Brad the manager to complain once the guys showed up. He said he would call the owner and call me back ASAP. Never heard another word from Brad !

We love our condo and want all our guests to enjoy it as much as we do and enjoy wonderful Pawleys Island.

Great visit! The condo was so clean, pretty and comfortable! We rented a golf cart and had an easy trip to the beach and beach club. Would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a great place to stay in DeBordieu!

We had a great time for the 28th year! The only thing I would ask is that the tubs/showers have grab bars. They are a safety feature for all ages.

Our stay at this fabulous house was just perfect! We were in town for a wedding and had a large multigenerational family group renting the house. Not only was the interior of the house gorgeous, the layout was amazing. The main kitchen-dining-living area easily accommodated all of us for large meals and hanging out, and there were numerous spots all over the house (upstairs hang out room, large bedrooms, all the beautiful balconies) to go if someone wanted quiet time alone to read a book or enjoy the view. The beds were extremely comfortable, and there were lots of extra pillows and blankets. The staff at DeBordieu was friendly and helpful, which helped to make the experience wonderful. I highly recommend this house to anyone in a large group looking for a picture perfect vacation!

A great home for families!!! Worked very well having a birthday party for 50 with all the porches and open rooms!!! Large ice maker was a plus!!!

We had 15 in our group and due to the layout and construction of the house, I received the best sleep! The house was walking distance to the beach, which made it very convenient for easy lunch or snack/beverage runs. What I really like though was the neighborhood is very safe and I even felt comfortable allowing my 6 and 8 year old children explore the area alone.

We had a wonderful stay. Our condo was clean and comfortable - the decor was lovely and the location was perfect. Check in and check out were easy. We had a concern and it was addressed immediately. Looking forward to next years visit!

We enjoyed our evening walks on the beach. Our kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could ever need and the family room had a giant flat screen TV with several DVD options. This is one of the nicest places weve ever stayed at.

Our Vacation Rental from DeBordieu was one in a million. The location was perfect, right on a private beach with all kinds of storage for our beach-going needs. The house is amazing for families of any size. What is amazing is that each room had its own bath and the master suites had jacuzzi tubs and private balconies. This house really was the perfect setting for our vacation and you cannot go wrong using DeBordieu for your vacation rental.

The beach is the best feature of DeBordieu. A small community, we really enjoyed our time here and never felt rushed or like we were on an itinerary. It was very stress-free,peaceful, I felt like I was in paradise.

The house was perfect and had a great extended family vacation! Had one issue with A/C and they had it fixed same day. Great service and loved the house!!!

The beach house my family and I stayed in was comfortable and very accommodating for our large family. We enjoyed eating breakfast and lunch in the sun room and best of all the magnificent view the house had to offer. We had a great time and have many fond memories from that trip.

I rented the Kitchens Beach house for the 3rd year in a row for a Yoga Retreat - Its the perfect house for it . There were 17 women - plenty of space and plenty of bathrooms . The kitchen is perfect for large groups eating together . The Ocean front back porch is perfect for our Yoga and mediation sessions . Its beautiful, quiet and serene . I have already talked to DeBordieu with a few concerns.....the toilets, the dish washer. May I add the lopsided bench swing on the porch.We love this house so so much!!Were making memories here!!!!

My family and I have been coming to DeBordieu for three decades and over the years have rented a number of home. My favorite is unit Restful which is located at the South tip of the development where the beach is nearly unused. It is a beautiful location where many memories have been made.

Our 4th year renting this property. It meets all the needs of our family. There was an odor in the top floor bedrooms that appeared to come from the HVAC system.

Awesome place to stay and close to the beach. This will be my go to place to stay when I’m in town

Great location! The property needs some updating but we were very comfortable there.

We had a great week at DeBordieu. The whole community is beautiful. We had a couple of issues at the house and the staff promptly had someone come out and fix the problem one of which was after hours.

Our 4-generation family rented a house & condo; both oceanfront & were in easy walking distance from one another. :) Worked very well. The kids, 36 & younger, stayed in the house & loved it. The adults, 36 & above, were not as enamored. The inside was nicely done, altho the master bathroom has a bit weird --- 2!! separate water closets & a huge shower with one rinky-dink shower head. The main reason the adults were not delighted is that the porches were unusable as far we were concerned. They were narrow & in very bad condition. In fact, all of us, kids included, stated that they need to be replaced. Also, a small item, the landscaping was not being maintained; they were weeds climbing up the handrails & weeds in all the plant beddings. One last thing --- the house was listed as having 8.5 bath; it has 6.5!! This would have been ok IF we had known. Upon arrival we had to find 4 couples who could share a bath. Sheezz. This house was We Shell Sea. The condo was attractively decorated & comfortable.The only complaint here was that the loft bedroom had 2 twin beds against a wall, head-to-foot. This may have been ok if we had known this ahead of time, In this configuration we could not move together. The condo only had couples. It was unexpected. There is a bathroom in the loft & it is exceedingly small; altho our 65 guy could use it. :) This would have all been ok, it we had known. Beware when a picture of a space is not included in the listing. :) This condo was High Cotton. We would have renewed both places for 2019 except for the house porch. We really use a porch. We have reserved 2 houses for 2019.
