Went to this dentist around 2 years ago and I definitely believe there’s scamming going on, the dentist told me I had 11 cavities and needed a crown, I went to another dentist just recently and have been informed I only have 5 cavities and still need a crown, I have had no work done on my teeth since that dentist told me I had 11 cavities. but it makes me wonder if I really needed a crown back then before my tooth got bad. A family member of mine had visited this dentist as well and said the same dentist she saw informed her she had 11 cavities as well. I know some dentists may miss some things, but 5 cavities compared to 11 just seems way off. And I believe I could have got a filling done on my tooth before it got this bad but was possibly fooled into believing I needed a crown that I didn’t have money for at the time, when I could have gotten a fill in for free through my insurance. Now that is impossible cause I for sure need a crown.

I absolutely love this office! I’ve been going there for about five years now, and it has the friendliest staff ever! Dr. Sonceau is so sweet and kind and always makes sure that I am comfortable with whatever procedure I’m having done. Rodney is usually the assistant working with the doctor and he always makes me feel right at home. He also has a great memory and makes the experience feel personal while being light hearted and fun. Jason, the dental hygienist is great as well. Very kind and patient. If this office ever decides to move, I’m going with them! So grateful that what most people dread (the dentist) is always such a lovely experience.

I have had problems for years and one of my major problems was affordability, even with insurance. Like other Dental offices they have programs that can help you. The service is impeccable, I wish there was a better word to describe how wonderful a dental visit was. I know it sounds crazy but true....wonderful. Anyone will just have a pleasant experience.😊

We, me and my husband, switched to this dentist last year and although it took awhile for our visit we could not be happier with them. They are helpful, friendly and professional. Their hygienist cleaned my teeth really good and they feel very clean. I highly recommend Friendly Family dental Group.

This is the best dentist I have ever been to. They are very friendly and respectful. You get in and out in a very timely manner and they make sure you are comfortable the entire time. I have been to other dental offices where they work on you until they feel like it and then leave you in the chair with only half the work done and come back and finish when they feel like it. I have also had to wait up to a hour to be seen when I was early for my appointment at other places. You won’t have that experience here. You come in get screened to make sure you don’t have a temperature and wait maybe 5 min if even that long and they take you back and get to work. I’m always in and out within an hour and have had a lot of work done in that period of time. They are a very clean facility and it’s also the best dental cleaning I have ever had done. I actually look forward to my visits here. They are amazing!

I have been coming to Friendly Dental for about three years.Every time I go in they are always very nice. My last visit Rodney Lytle and doctor Sonceau did a great good with my crown. Had no problems after the fact. Great work guys!!!!!

Please save yourself the suffering, time, and trouble. Despite having no pain whatsoever, the dentist performed an exam and recommended me for lots of fillings. After seeing the dentist to have fillings placed, I left with sensitivity to pressure in one of my back molars. When I returned, the dental technician decided I needed a bite adjustment so that’s what he did. This did not resolve the problem, upon seeing another dentist they determined I had exposed dentin causing the sharp pain when trying to chew. It has taken me $100’s of dollars, multiple appointments at another dentist, and hours of time to have the work done by Dr. Sonceau at this office, redone. It has taken me over three months and multiple failed bite adjustments to be able to chew normally again. After cancelling my future appointments and leaving this practice, they were even kind enough to send me a bill for an additional $200 apparently not covered by my dental insurance. This dental office left me in pain, did nothing to resolve the issue, and billed me more by mail after I communicated those things and took my business elsewhere.

Friendly Dental of Kannapolis is the best dental practice out there.! The office is very professional and I love that I get several appointment remembers. Jason, my dental hygienist, does an excellent job on every visit. I have been a customer since 2013 and I am completely satisfied with my experience. New to the area and looked for dentist. Did some checking on line and found Friendly Dental and viewed the staff on their website. Saw Dr Sonceau and called to make an appt with her. Got an appt a few days later. On my first visit last week, I found the staff pleasant. The friendly tech came and got me and X-rayed my mouth. Dr Sonceau came in reviewed them and checked my entire mouth. For a first visit, everyone made me feel comfortable like I was a regular. I found Dr Sonceau to be professional, easy going, and personable; very easy very to like on day one. Going to the dentist is not normally my favorite thing to do, however, in the case of Friendly Dental’s staff and Dr Sonceau, they make it a pleasant event. Give them a try if you’re looking for a dentist.

I would recommend them to anyone especially if you have to have something major done they are fantastic and they work with you on payments in case your insurance has not yet kicked in great and friendly staff girls at the front are always super nice anytime I come in!

Ive been coming to Friendly dental of Kannapolis for 3 years now and I have to say that the staff are amazing and super friendly. The Doc took her time to really explain in detail what was causing my toothache. I would 100% recommend Friendly Dental- Kannapolis to anyone, Ive always felt welcome in the office the staff really work as a team to provide great service to all their patients. The front desk Manager Claudia is the most sweetest person and provides the best service.

My boyfriend and I both had initial appointments in January of this year. Those appointments were amazing. However, he developed a problem and the next step in his treatment plan was crowns on his front teeth. When I spoke to someone in the office in June, I was told his out of pocket would be $1620 (2 payments of $810). Well that takes some time to come up with so i called in July to schedule when we had the funds. Now Im being told that it is almost $1800 out of pocket. So what changed? I certainly didnt make up the 2 payments of $810. The lady kept telling me thats what the dental treatment says. That may be true, but you have people in your office telling the wrong things.

The FRONT desk is VERY unprofessional. They are rude 😒 on all levels. They answer the phone laughing, hang up on you while on hold for 15min. The list goes on and I can write a book about it. The cookie cutter was when I called to cancel my daughters appointment. The person put me on hold for at least 15 min. I called back 5xs no answer. Then I waited 30 min, called back the lady said can you hold? I said no I been on hold for a while. So she says well how can I help you then all nasty. I explained I had an emergency and had to reschedule my daughters appointment. I gave her my daughters name. She says ok then bye 👋. I said excuse me I want to reschedule. She stated you canceled one time before. I said ok and what does that mean? The person act as if she was not at work and i was getting on her nerves. She huffed and said these are the only two dates and times I have available. At this point I was through with the conversation. I immediately changed offices and now we are at a place that is VERY perfessional. Whomever hire this group needs to reevaluate who they want to represent them.So after all that, my husband had to go pick up my daughters dental papers for our new dentist. The front desk was loud, playing music and talking as if he didnt just walk in. The person said WHY YOU LEAVING US? While laughing and said nah I am just joking and they laughed at him. So unprofessional and need to be evaluated.If i could give them a zero i would.

Everyone showed extra professionalism from the front desk to the dentist. This is not a fake review, I had a temporary crown put on and during the process it fell off. Due to my mistake of not biting down for initial impression 🤦🏻‍♂️ However instead of blaming me they were very apologetic and the dentist came back in with a quick solution and got me on with my day! PAIN FREE! would recommend to anyone!

They rushed through a deep clean. The bottom half of my mouth wasn’t numb. She continued to ignore me and wouldn’t give me more Novocain. Continued the clean. It was so painful. An hour procedure took 25 minutes. I do not recommend this office to anyone around. I’m in so much pain after that. Already had a fear of the dentist and she did not make me feel comfortable at all. She seemed to be in a hurry and had no care what so ever about my needs. The dentist name was Angela.

Today I went in for an extraction and everything was great! The staff was nice and the dentist was amazing. I was not asleep and I did not feel any pain. The procedure was fast and they both kept me laughing and at ease. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family! : )

I have been using Friendly Dental for a few years. My visits have varied. Depending on the day, the waiting room can be loud and obnoxious, other days its fine. Most of the time, service is good, that includes the receptionists, hygienists and the dentists. It really depends on who is doing your cleaning/treatments. My family has had different experiences than I have had. As a combination of our experiences, I would give Friendly Dental 3 stars.

I came in as a new patient to have a tooth checked that had chipped. They had some open appointment times, so I ended up staying for a cleaning and my very first filling as well. Rodney, Dr Ranzinger, and all of the other people that worked with me today were wonderful. I was extremely nervous, but they made me feel at ease and I look forward to going back in the fall for a check-up.

This office has some bad apples, but it also has some terrific understanding folks. I left understanding the whole process of my gums healing, but the flap had me nervous. Second extraction I have had and the first didn’t have a piece of my gum flapping and easily movable. The new doc cleared up my nervousness and made “SURE” I understood the healing process 😊😊🙏🏾

I was referred here by my neighbor who is a patient. I stopped by this place to ask several questions regarding a root canal on my tooth. The blonde lady that sits up front with the heavy accent answered all of my questions with complete annoyance. When proceeding to ask for an appointment she mumbled under her breath with my wife and I standing there. she made me feel like it was too much to make an appointment for me. We left and found a more professional office. The rest of staff wore smiles and greeted every patients with professionalism. Whoever owns this place needs to take a look at the people who is working in their office.

Would give zero stars if I could. These people are THEIVES AND CROOKS. My boyfriend came in to have a tooth pulled as an emergency. They charged my card for the xray, just to tell me that they dont know what tooth it is. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? He lost part of his tooth. I explained to them how we are struggling and they quoted me for a tooth pull that at maximum would have been 250 and then they pull this stunt and refer him to another place that charges up to 300 dollars for an exam. My boyfriend was in so much pain and they refused to prescribe him anything and told him to take ibuprofen which is what he already was doing. His mouth is infected!!!! Complete lack of care and empathy. Avoid this place. I will tell everyone I know to. Disgusting that they would do this to an already struggling family

We waited for over an hour for my sons appointment. While other people just walked in and went straight back. The girls at the front desk acted like they would rather be somewhere else. Once back there my son was treated like he had the plague instead of dental issues. We have since found an understanding dentist who explains everything to us before had. I will never return here. I was on the verge of removing ALL of my teeth because I wasnt satisfied with them. Ive been to several dentist office and have NEVER felt the way Friendly Dental of Kannapolis made me feel. The front desk staff are very polite. The hygenist Jason is SUPER awesome. Ms. Sheree made me cry because she told me how beautiful I was and I couldnt even see that myself. Dr. Jacqueline Sonceau is very sweet and caring. Overall this place is just hands down awesome!!!!

Update: I recently had two crowns placed on my front teeth. They turned out beautifully! I also had gaps around that area and a slight overbite. They were able to fill in the gaps and bring my front teeth in with the crowns. It was amazing! I had planned on Invisalign after the crowns to close the gaps, but now I dont have to. They just saved me $1 to $2K. I also just had a filling yesterday and they truly seemed to be concerned about my comfort. Dr. Sonceau is very good at what she does and I can tell she really cares about her patients.Previously posted - Been coming here for years and never had any problems and dont have anything bad to say actually.
