I don’t like the nail quality of Kings Mountain salons so I drove to Gastonia for a full set today. I arrived around 3:15 with a friend of mine for 2 full sets, after waiting an hour to be sat down, my friends set was already complete, I sat down at around 4 pm, I asked that my nails be removed with a nail tip, she then used a metal nail file and a set of cuticle clippers to remove my nails (very painful), the owner stopped my nails multiple times to talk on the phone and to tend to her toddler. After shaping my nails they were more square than coffin shaped, after she finished filing the acrylic she then stopped doing my nails again to “Start the washer and dryer”, at this point it was after 5:30 pm, I had sat in the chair for an hour and a half with no color on my nails, I ran out of time and patience. When I went to the desk to pay she told me my total was $102 and that my set alone was $55 (mind you this was incomplete set and it was not properly shaped) the owner of the salon then argued that it didn’t take her over an hour to complete my partial set. I will say another employee offered to correct the mistake but again I was out of time, it had been 3 hours at this point. Overall the customer service that her employees gave was excellent, but the owner herself is very unprofessional, I would recommend allowing a different technician in the salon to complete your set; however, with the unprofessionalism I would recommend a new salon altogether. This was my first choice salon because of the pictures of the nails in the reviews, and they have now lost forever. You could get better service at a McDonald’s than you could from the owner of this salon.

1st time there today. All the ladies were so welcoming and a fun atmosphere. Even all the customers were nice and friendly. Made my day that everyone looked passed my fuzzy wuzzy head.

Lady cut me twice, customer service skills poor as hell, over charge people for simple things. I believe they are adding tips to whatever your original price supposed to be smh. I sat in there for 4 hours and only one person knows how to do nails. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I have gone several times over the last couple years. I can honestly say with the change in management and change in employees, this place has gone down hill so much. Sure the inside may be updated and you may have painted the walls and brought in new chairs, but that doesn’t make up for the way you treat your customers. The last time two times I have went to get something done, the manager was completely just miserable looking and just plain rude, like she hated being there and didn’t want to be bothered by anything or anyone. One of the nail techs stayed on the phone the whole time cussing, going on about this and that (mind you she’s doing someone else’s nails during this time). Their hours are clearly listed on the door saying they close at 7pm. The last time I was there they shut everything down right at 5:45-6pm because the “manager” was ready to go home. They turned probably 5 people away just while I was there... lol but worst of all I’m here because we’ll I’m trying to relax she comes to me and insists on me paying now so she could shut down drawer and go home.. lol I should’ve asked about the prices because they have definitely gone up ALOT! It was unreal and definitely not worth what they charge! Just like several other people said on here I’m sure the manager could care less about losing me as a customer. But I will not be going back it was awful! I wouldn’t recommend at all!

I had made appointments for myself and my daughter at 5:15...we arrive they take her back immediately..I am then told to have a seat with the nail tech..as I sat down the owner advised the nail tech to take someone else in front of me..at 5:50 I was still sitting there with my nails not even touched..i was never advised why this happened nor was I asked to wait politely..I made an appointment for a reason...the owner could have cared less about me and my appointment..I am sure they wont miss my money there but I wont be going back..really sad because they have some amazing nail technicians there... pretty sad when the owner could care less about a regular client or the fact I had an appointment to have my nails done as the same time as my daughter... appointments obviously mean nothing at this establishment...

This place was literally the worst. Was in the salon for 4 and a half hours for a full set and a pedicure. The full set is very sloppy with polish everywhere the nail tech also cut me several times and covered my bleeding finger with nail polish like it never even happened. The pedicure was great though. But overall none of this was worth 80 dollars. I have never been so disappointed.

After driving around Charlotte and not being able to find a nail salon without a tremendously long wait I decided to drive out some more. I was able to find a nail salon off of the highway without a long wait! I was treated with great customer service by D’Naisha and received a wonderful manicure by Amanda!! Great local nail salon!

Over priced. Qouted one price, then was charged another after the service! Polish job was HORRIBLE.Only reason why I gave two stars because lady who actually did my deluxe mani/pedi was nice and did a great job making my feet and hands feel soft. She was polite.

Within the 2 hours of getting my nails done, the lady cut my cuticles multiple times leaving me bleeding. She told me to pick a color and I did. She ended up doing the wrong color, but I didn’t say anything because she just started painting right away. Also, when she was painting my nails I noticed a hair from the nail brush she used on my nail in the wet nail polish. She was honestly just going to leave that hair there and paint over it. Who does that? It was only 5 days later and I had 4 nails break off and now here I am with a nail infected with fungus and another with a black bruise from where she was so rough! Never going back! Save your money. They overprice you too.

Asked for gel manicure got just a polish. Had to ask her to redo nails because none of the nails were completely painted. This is by far the worst polish I’ve ever had. Will never go back will not recommend

She did a great job shaping my nails so I’ll give it 2 stars BUT the polishing was terrible, I had paint all on the side of my finger and she did a terrible job on my designs I literally had to fix my nails at home. Plus they over charge I paid $72 for my nails to turn out like that, luckily I like to paint nails, I would’ve been better off just letting her put the nails on then I just paint them myself. Not to mention some of the nails came off that I fixed and I just got them done 2 days ago..

I love my experience at Posh Nails it’s always so friendly and inviting, the service is amazing And never really a long wait.

I’ve been going here for years and used to love it. Recently I went and got my eyebrows done bere and they are taking covid precautions which is awesome. Taking temperatures at the door and requiring hand washing. Except the employees aren’t wearing any masks. So back to my last visit the lady who did my eyebrows was so nice but I noticed my eyebrow was burning but brushed it off due to me thinking it was just because I have it done it a while. Then after watching the lady wax my sisters eyebrows I felt sick because of how unsanitary they are. The lady used the same stick and kept repeadetly sticking it into the wax. She also never cleaned the tools she used when she switched over towards my sisters eyebrows. Going back to my eyebrows burning it turns out she actually burned me and now I have a very noticeable scar underneath my eyebrow. Will never go back.

Posh Nails will be the only location I will ever go to! Never went to a location where I was 100% pleased! Tammy my nail tech did an amazing job on my nails and toes! I look forward to my next visit!! If you live in the area, this is definitely a nail salon you should check out.Update 6/20/20 - since first review I’ve visited a few more times. I must say when it comes to pedicures they do a wonderful job. This last time I went I left disappointed. The prices were increased and I wasn’t aware and was very shocked when I checked out. My total was $110. I received a basic pedicure, nail color change and eye brow wax. If I ever go again I’ll make sure I know the price up front. AND they’ve added a few new people and having to listen to them discuss their night out and how much they drink was a little too much along with hearing their other personal business. They seem to lack professionalism. Hopefully they learn to discuss those types of things away from clients

The ladies are nice, but the quality is bad.2 of our polish from the Pedicures came off within 24 hours of being there.Nail polish was chipping less than a week later. Plus, prices were crazy. I get you have to do gel polish with the Covid virus, but charging nearly $60 for a pedicure is ridiculous considering the polish comes off so easily.

Absolutely love Posh Nails! I’ve been going here for years and I will never step into any other nail salon. Tammy is great and she always knows how picky I am with my nails. She does them perfect for me every single time! Customer service is great and you feel right at home here. I would recommend this salon over any others in the Gastonia area!

I would not recommend this place, first the lady removed my gel and began putting on new gel, I told her it was burning when I placed hands in dryer, it bubbled up on 1 nail, she then sanded nail and said she wasnt sure why the top coat did that, both hands had nail burning, she then removed top coat got another bottle and put top coat on nails no burning this time, after getting home I noticed she didnt put top coat on thumb nail so my nails dont match, Im very very disappointed and will never go back to this place, also staff member was sick, sniffing, coughing, sneezing, said she had a cold, also place seems very unclean .. I normally dont write reviews but please be careful my nails are ruined and sore from burning.. unsatisfied customer

I paid $25 for a full set. They did not do this correctly. They did not cut my cuticles at all. The acrylic was very thick. They did not look like they were supposed to. I got cut during the process.

The lady did a great job, I just hate that they jacked up prices and made it gel polish only . I believe it was to make up for loss due to covid. I would wait until the covid is over until I go back.

I live really close to Posh Nails, and was due for a fill. I had gone to a different salon for my full set and wanted to try another local business that I could support.I noticed there were no listings on Yelp so I have to review here; Posh Nails was a fantastic experience, they knew what I wanted and did exactly that. I felt completely taken care of. I did not wait long, and was treated so gently I could have fallen asleep while having my fill in.Needless to say of course, my nails look spectacular!! The salon is within 1 mile of my home and right next to a food lion that I can grab ingredients for supper. Thank you Posh Nails Team Ill be back!!

I have only used this salon for over 15 years. While they are very busy ( I make appointments so I don’t have to wait)they are courteous and professional and I have never left disappointed.

Went in for simple manicure, my nails were in good shape and I just felt like treating myself to some pampering. When the lady was finished my nails were all at an odd angle and misshaped. I ended up going home and redoing my nails. Money wasted, but worst of all I ended up with short nails as a result of her shabby work. Wont return!!

The place is relatively clean and doesnt reek too badly of nail products. They shaped my almond shape nails PERFECTLY. Trust me, youll get addicted. This nail salon will definitely be my go to place.

Just left and some of my nails are uneven and the price was outrageous. They charged me extra just for getting a full set with nails included when I thought that was the whole point of a full set. This was my first and it will be my last time going there, I just can’t believe they charge as much as they do it’s crazy.

I got my nails done here and I kind of feel like this was the woman’s first time doing acrylics? I had a bunch of broken nails that I wanted redone, she had unbroken nails on my hand to go by as a guide for exactly what I wanted.... but somehow when she finished every single one of my nails were angled and had literal drips of acrylic on the tips.... HARDENED DRIPS... I was also rushed on choosing a polish color and left completely unsatisfied and still paid full price. I had to buy a nail file and just redo all of my nails at home!!!! I’m not coming here ever again!

It was horrible. They did a terrible job once and then had me come in to fix it for free. I went it and they did a worse job than before! I had a French tip done and all my polish is ran together on my nails. And the whole time the man doing my nails kept saying its no big deal people wont notice from far away along with telling me how i should do my own nail! I would not recommend this place nor will i be going back.

This used to be my favorite nail place but it don’t matter if you have an appointment your going to have to wait forever. Everybody wants Tammy to do their nails. She’s the only one who does acrylic and SNS. I got here this morning at 10 and it’s 11:35 and I’m still waiting to get my nails done.

I walked into this place with natural beautiful strong thick nails.. walk out with paper thin ugly missed shaped nails. This is nightmare that will take my nails months to recover from! They still expected me to pay full price even after agreeing the woman butchered my nails. I will never be back !

Just found out the hard way that they use MMA (Methyl methacrylate) is a inexpensive adhesive that bonds very strongly. It is not approved by the FDA to use on nails. It poisonous and deleterious substance that should not be used.

Absolutely poor service. Would not recommend to ANYONE. 2 of my nails were broken within the next hour, and 3 more were broken the next day. When I called them about the issue that Saturday and let them know I was coming to the store they left early. Following that Monday when I arrived to discuss my issue in a progressional manor they were rude. All I wanted was a refund for my nails not including the other 25 dollars I spent on other services. They were disrespectful and rude, and would not refund my money. I was forced into them only fixing the broken nails and the entire time she was rude, and basically told me I should just go to my original nail salon and not theirs

I have been to this nail salon twice within the past 3 weeks. Both times the only man that works there has done my nails. The first time he did them one of my nails broke 2 days after. This time he has paint all over my hand. My kids could have done better.

The only reason I gave one star is because I had to. The lady rushed so bad on my full set that I had 4 nails that were twice longer than my others and she messed my shape up so bad that I had to come home and fix them. Then she overcharged for them. I DO NOT recommend this salon to anyone.

I have been to Posh Nails several times. They dont do a great job only reason why I go here is because they are never busy and I know I can get right in to at least start my full set. Today that was not the case, I went into Posh nails and waited 30 minutes before I was seated. I didnt mind so much because all employees from what I could see was busy assisting a client. When I was finally seated the nail technician told me to seat here for a minute to remind you I had already waited half a hour. There was another lady waiting behind me and her nail technician and mine both ended up in the back room just talking. I waited another 10 minutes to see if she was going to finally come out because I had already waited so long I didnt want to go anywhere else and sit. I noticed they was just going to continue to be unprofessional and just sit in the back. I ended up walking out and going to Walmart da-vi nails which is a lot busier and was seated and worked on within 5 mins.

Just ok. Pretty good prices but not enough staff for how many walk-ins they have. I waited almost 45 min for a mani/pedi and ended up having to skip the mani due to time.

Terrible! My 13-year-old daughter got her nails done by the owner they were horrible. My daughter was too scared to tell her. My daughter complain she kept cutting her, and she was rude. It took forever as the owner kept Dealing with her toddler. My daughter was in the chair first, but an appointment come in for the owner so she made my daughter sit to the side so she can work on someone else and make her wait even though she had been working on her and was almost finished. I do not recommend this place at all
