Chapel Hill Laundromat is my favorite place to do laundry. It’s affordable. They have new washers and dryers. It’s always clean and well maintained, and the hours of operation are convenient. The best thing though s the staff. Mack & Butch are friendly, professional and very helpful. Although I hate doing laundry, Chapel Hill Laundromat is the place to be!!!😀👍🏽

Moved to Chapel Hill a few years ago and discovered this laundromat. I have been coming here for a while and I have been very happy. The laundry attendant/manager Id owe some. He keeps the place very clean and he is very nice. I wouldnt go anywhere else. Kudos to Chapel Hill Laundromat!! 🙂

We are waiting for repairs to our washer so came here to do two loads of laundry. There are different size/cost of machines: $3.25 for a tiny one (you could not do much in these), $5 (I was able to fit a full but not heaping, standard-sized wash basket worth of items in it but it was close), $6 and $7.50. I have a pretty standard top-load washer at home, and I would say its drum size is closest the $6 machine. Machines take quarters only and theres a change machine. Instructions on the machines were clear. Detergent dispensers are on top of the machine, and theres a step stool for getting up there. The facility was clean. The wash cycles were short - about 25 minutes.

My washer has been broken for weeks, so I finally went to the laundromat instead of asking other people for help since we are a family of four... After a quick online search I found Chapel Hill laundromat and saw it’s super high rating compared to everywhere else around. I am sooo thankful that I went there because I had like 14-15 loads and I was able to get everything washed and dried in 2-2.5 hours! It was amazing!! More importantly, the manager was there while I was and helped me with EVERYTHING!! It was my first time at a Landry Mat, so the manager was an angel!! I was super stressed and struggled with the washer and he was so calm and helpful! It was a little busy, but everyone stayed in their own space. Biggest pro of the place though was the manager! He made sure the place was clean and that everyone was comfortable and taken care of! I watched him help multiple people bring in laundry and open the door, so they could leave! He is the star of place - it’s obvious he’s what makes it 5 stars!! If you need laundry done in a safe, clean space with a friendly manager to help you with anything you need, then you definitely have to come here!! Good customer service is hard to find, so they definitely need to keep the manager around and totally give him a raise!! He is the best around!!

WOW! Town & Country Laundromat is no more - this place is under new management and it is aweosme. Huge (brand new) Maytag dryers work great, and there are multiple sizes of newer washers. Wash, Dry, & Fold service also available on Mondays & Tuesdays from 2-6pm. Great work, New Management!!!

The owner here is lovely!! After loosing my wallet (with IDs, cash, and much more personal information) he took care to make sure it returned to its rightful owner. I don’t take my laundry anywhere else(:

The first thing to note is that the laundromat is under new(er!) management, which accounts a lot for the dramatic shift in ratings over time. Now it is clean, the manager keeps right on top of broken machines, the wireless is great, and it is a pleasant place to go.

I was able to wash 3 queen size coverlets for $7.50 in one large washing machine. The staff was friendly and it was clean and welcoming. Wearing masks is enforced and machines and surfaces were routinely wiped down. Plus the wifi was strong and I was able to work while waiting for my items to finish up!

Just a hallway with lots of washers and deyers that were hot (.25/8 minutes). It was clean enough but unbelievably expensive - $3.25 for a single wash, $5 for a triple, and $6 for a quadruple (and I question the sizes). And wash was maybe 30 minutes. Ill be looking for a new laundromat.

Went to Chapel Hill Laundromat for the first time today and had a great experience !! I’m a UNC student living off-campus & our apartment unit only has two washers for everyone who lives there. The laundromat was much more convenient as there were many washers of different sizes & different prices depending on how big your load was! The best part of the whole experience was the friendly conversation with the man who worked there. It was nice having someone to talk to & pass the time with & he made me feel very welcome & comfortable. I will definitely be coming back and would recommend this laundromat to Chapel Hill residents and UNC students !

The laundry matt is very clean and the machines do a great job cleaning and drying. I bring my bedspreads and comforters in for their commercial grade washers and dryers. They do a great job. The gentleman who manages the mat is very pleasant and kind. He keeps the matt very clean.

Manager was so helpful and eager to anticipate needs. Patient with little kids in store and overall 10/10

Place really picked up from what it was before. Glad they fixed their machines and their prices. Only reason I couldnt give them five stars is because one) they dont have an attendant which is essential when something doesnt work. Ive seen several people need someone and theres no phone number or anything. 2) I had to leave my hamper there because there was a huge roach or waterbug looking thing on it after I placed it on top of the washer. I know I didnt bring it there so I suggest some kind of treatment. I dont want the hamper back so throw it away if you found it.

This place was great! Staff was super helpful and friendly! Place was very clean (and was being cleaned by staff frequently while we were there). Everyone there was so nice and respectful. Was a great experience and definitely will be going back!!

Good laundromat. As a woman doing laundry alone I have felt safe in this location. The machines work well and they have a change machine. No complaints.

Really glad I was able to utilize this facility. It was clean, all of the machines worked, and the prices were reasonable. It wasnt crowded, and there were clear instructions on how to use the equipment. Bottom line: my clothes looked great, and everything I needed was there on sight. If you would like someone else to do your laundry.......theyre able to do that too!

If you don’t mind being (ripped off) by 1 as in One Minute on the Digital washer timer and how freaking expensive it is compared to other laundromats then this is your spot.Really other than that it’s not a bad place, pretty clean and reliable Wi-Fi.Oh and if you’re questioning it, yes I started the timer sequence at the same time, may be off by a millisecond. If you normally come here test and try it yourself😌.

I never write reviews, but I felt the need to come on here and write one because this place is not what Ive read on here. This place has working machines and a lot of them, friendly, does have lots of parking and is CLEAN! I was ready to see trash and roaches and broken machines and possibly shady and nasty attendants. Not the case! there was an attendant that was kind enough to help me and i got to meet one of the owners, who was very personable. its location is great because there are places to eat on both sides and i was able to enjoy a nice cup of joe while my laundry was being done. It makes me happy to have a place to do my laundry close to home. They deserve kudos and not shade. I am officially your loyal customer.

WOW! The laundromat has been transformed into an awesome place to do my laundry. The new owners have replaced the old washers and dryers for new ones so I can do more laundry in less time !! The new owners are super friendly and helpful too!!

Only 1 machine works!!!! What the heck!!!! and the only other machine that wasn’t all taped up also DID NOT WORK. This isn’t even a laundromat???? Save your time and go somewhere else.
