Wish I had a picture to share but a few weeks ago I came here to get acrylic nails. I told him I wanted coffin nails but they ended up looking like squared nails. I asked him for medium nails and they still looked long. on top of that they looked fat and bulky. I had to ask him to trim them a few times. Still unsure of the length, he encouraged me that they looked fine. Point is I wasn’t happy with what I got. Felt rushed and inattentive. Today I went to Mount Airy Nail Salon truly a hidden gem! They were able to fix my nails and found the faults in the original nails without me telling him anything. Now that’s talent.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I had walked in for a fill in and was immediately dismissed. The staff was very unfriendly. I had to ask for help after standing there for awhile with no acknowledgement. I asked them if they accepted walk-ins they said yes but firmly said “no we can’t take you”. One of the employees laughed. Not sure what was funny but seems like all the nail salons around this area are like this. b There were plenty of empty chairs...they didn’t ask if I wanted to book an apt or anything. Very rude.

Tina and her husband are wonderful. They have added plexiglass between the manicurist and client, very hygienic and professional. I have never been disappointed.

Be careful with the new staff, this guy literally cut my nail bed trying to “shape it” now I have to wait till it heals to get a new set, I’ve only got my nails done with Tina and Leon because they know what they’re doing and about 2 other staff members there as well (don’t know their names) other than that one really bad experience this establishment is really affordable and the quality of work is worth it (with the right nail techs that is).UPDATE: that review above was 2 years ago! And I came back to leave a new review, I had my nails done by Tina this time and she was very friendly and shaped my nails very well! My only concern is sanitation, I wish the tools were open in front of me because I am very paranoid with fungus and germs especially with today’s situation (COVID), but other than that my nails look so pretty! They are taking the correct precaution s with COVID by leaving masks on and making clients wash their hands before being helped! Thank you Tina for the dip powder manicure!

Tina the owner here charged my card a extra $16. I’m certain this was no mistake ! Cuticles were bleeding when I left and my full set didn’t even last for a week.

I got a pedicure on Thursday and the lady who did my toes hurt me while cutting my toe nails, I thought it wasn’t a big deal but when I would walk my big toe would hurt. I let a day go by to see if the pain would go away but it got worse...now my toe is infected & with pus!

Great service and great job on eyebrows. I only go in for eyebrows so thats all I know that they do well but the workers there are so nice and friendly. They are honestly great.

The staff are great and although sometimes you have a long waiting time, it is totally worth it. I have had three different people work on my nails for me, and all of them were fully capable. They even gave out drinks and snacks one time I was there because they were so busy and apologetic.

LEON IS THE BEST!!!! I GO HERE ALL THE TIME THE STAFF IS GREAT TINA AND ALL THEM. THEY ARE ALWAYS HELPFUL AND ALWAYS DO MY NAILS AND EYEBROWS FANTASTIC!!!! MY FRIENDS/FAMILY AND I ALWAYS GO HERE. MY FAVORITE PLACE IN MARYLAND WOULDNT HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY ! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS.

I am so disappointed on them. I made two different appointment today and they cancel both of them. I have been attending this nail salon for over 5 years and always leave them great tips. I am so disappointed on how they treated me today. Ill never go back to this nail salon again. Dont go here, they never stick to there appointments.

They are bomb!! Tina does whatever design i want no matter how hard it is. and everyone always asks me where i go to get my nails done because they come out perfect, not too thick not too thin, neat around my cuticles and perfect shape !! and my pedicures last upto 3 weeks.

Never going there again ! I was loyal to them for 4 years straight and I definitely didn’t get what I paid for the last few times I went there . A few months ago I went for a full set like always and I get the same person always . That time I don’t know if he was just not having a good day but the process was rushed and the final product was very unsatisfying . Shape was terrible . I still paid and tipped him though bc like I said I’ve always gone there . So that was the 2nd to last time I went, this time comes around and I go in there open minded and just willing to give him another chance . I get there and the wait wasn’t long I will say, I finally get seated and the process starts, he starts to file the acrylic nails and on the side he didn’t even check to see if my skin had gotten stuck to the acrylic, he just starts to file and I feel burning and come to find out he’s literally cutting me with the side of the file bc of how hard he filed my nails . I said something and he just lowered my hand . He did that to my left thumb first . Then we get to my left ring finger, same thing he cut me again bc of how hard he filed . I said something and he smacked my hand with the nail filer and said “stay still !” At that point I should’ve left honestly ! He continues onto my right hand and cuts my middle finger and that’s when I had it and told him not to be so rough bc it burns. He’s literally going over the same spot he just cut with the nail filer right after I told him to be gentle . I’m surprised I didnt get an infection 💯 . The polishing process finally starts and I’m telling him what color I want where and he’s not even looking, it was like I was talking to myself . So I had to repeat myself more than once . I mentioned to him about how I want a simple design centered on my left ring finger...he couldn’t even do that . If he would’ve listened he would’ve heard me say “centered” but no . I asked for a “T” with a little heart under in the middle of my nail and he went ahead and put it in the top left corner....My experience was so bad that time. Dissatisfied and disappointed is an understatement . Like I said, process was rushed, I was cut, I was charged way to much for what I thought was poor work . And even after all of that I still had to come home and shape up my nails my self bc he left them kind of squareish when I asked for a coffin shape..which I was still charged for but barely got. Never going back, if I could give them 0 stars I would without a doubt bc that was just pure disrespect I was shown . And it’s saddening bc I’ve been a loyal client for 4 years now to the same person . I just don’t understand . 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

Never go here. I went for a gel manicure and it was the most frustrating experience ever. The manicurist started the manicure saying, Are you sure you dont want a pedicure? I never do manicures. If that wasnt a red flag, then, when he took a used paper towel, with someone elses nail clippings still on it, shook off the clippings (who knows where they landed) and put it back down, proceeding to put my hands on it, should have been when I walked out. The woman next to me also complained about how she had made an appointment but was kept waiting. The manicure itself was a disaster. This man could not use the cuticle cuttters without stabbing me periodically nor could he file a smooth nail. When I would ask him to make the nail less jagged, he would just cut the nail rather than file it properly. Before he could try to paint, I had to leave because I would not pay for that disgusting, annoying experience. Seriously, dont go here. Aside from the questionable hygiene of this place, the manicurist was awful--kind, but could not file a nail or cut cuticles. Also, the gel machine he was setting up when I refused to continue looked ancient and gigantic (it was basically the size of my torso). Be wary of this place and, if any health inspectors read this, please check it out. Reusing dirty nail files, reusing dirty paper towels, and only god knows what else. It only gets a star because Im not able to give zero.

Warning: FUNGUS, came here for new nails, I have been getting my nails done for over 12 years, never had fungus, Came here and 2 weeks later after I took my nails off I got FUNGUS. Went there to talk to the owner about it got told it was my fault because I “wash my hands too much”

Ok place. Subpar pedicure. Made an appointment, arrived a little early so I expected to have to wait, but I wasnt seated until about 15 minutes after my scheduled time. And it was on a Tuesday, not even a busy weekend.
