For those who like dip, Kyle is beyond talented! I’ve been seeing him for months now and always leave excited with my new set! Definitely go see him if you haven’t already.

The place is quite. Not crowded. The workers are nice. My technician is Amazing! Joseph is respectful, but he engages in conversations with me and I like that. He is professional and does a wonderful job. I have enjoyed my experience with him doing my nails. He also waxed my brows and did a wonderful job! He also does a really great pedicure. He has 20 yrs experience!

Myself and three others walked in for a spur of the moment treat-yo-self day. Everyone had a great experience! I had Jolie doing my full set and she was incredible! I have had too many bad experiences at other salons when asking for more than just a plain set, but she took what I wanted and executed it perfectly! She didnt rush, she was kind, and it was a perfect experience.

I had the most amazing experience at cosmo, receptionist was so welcoming and kind. I got a full set done by mindy and she did absolutely amazing! I showed her the design I wanted and she executed it perfectly. 10/10 I always recommend my friends to cosmo, love it!

Broooooooooo. 😳 I had THE WORST experience today at this is establishment. I’ve been here before and loved the outcome of my nails with Jessica. My nails looked beautiful (pink nails) and a few popped off after 2 days but when I went back to fix it they didn’t charge me and Will did an amazing job. I tipped him $15 because he was so accommodating and was good at his job. My first visit I paid $56 for a new set with design and tipped $10 totaling to $66.70. I was excited to come back and see Jessica but was informed that she moved.I sat down with Nancy today and she was very nice from what I could understand. But the. She proceeded to remove my acrylics by cutting CHUNKS of acrylic on top of my nail bed off and when that didn’t work she began to remove the acrylic with another nail tip! It was painful for some nails, other nails popped off with no problem. I informed her that it hurt and she got frustrated everytime I pulled my had away in pain. She then lifted my actual nail and I could see my bare nail bed it was sore. She got nail glue and glued my real nail down, e-filed it to smooth it out and then put a nail tip on it. At this point I am horrified. I invited 5 of my friends to this salon today because of my previous experience, but I’m sad to say we will not plan to come back. I showed her the second picture and asked for exactly that, she said she could do it. I inserted a picture of what I actually got. They tried to charge me $100 for a new set ($45//that was not needed as I got a new set 3 weeks ago), shaping($5), the size of the nail, Medium($5), and ($30!!!!!) to put stars on the acrylic that you could get at the store for cheap. I asked the receptionist to help me understand why adding stars to the acrylic would add $30 to my price when I paid $11 with Jessica who did a much more complicated design. They explained to me that every nail tech charges differently based on the complexity of the design. I showed the receptionist the pink design and reported that this was a much more detail oriented design with much high complexity so I was basing the estimate off of a previous job that Cosmo salon did. They called Nancy over to explain the details to me but unfortunately with me being upset and myself having English as a second language, I had trouble understanding the rationalization. The receptionist called her manager and the price reduced to $85. It was better but extremely overpriced for the finish product. I could understand that pricing if I had nail jewelry +/- detail oriented designs but that is not the case. To put the icing on the cake this job took 2 hours because she kept applying large beads of acrylic and then filing down the acrylic too far. She is a really nice lady and I have nothing against her. I’m just not happy with the result for the price I paid. Another friend is a devoted customer there and reports the following, “ A design cost $15 and when you do a new set the shape is included they literally just charged you for things they shouldn’t have.” Based on my story she will also stop coming to this salon. I never leave bad reviews on any business because I understand that it is the bread and butter for a lot of people, however, when the staff started to laugh and gossip about the situation, it made me uncomfortable. I hope that prices are communicated in the future prior to performing the service to avoid any misunderstandings.

Jenny is literally the best. She always takes really good care of me. I’m from Miami and getting your nails done is way cheaper in Miami compared to Gainesville as a whole, but the quality of work and the care Cosmo gives you is unlike any other place in Gainesville. I live on the other side of town now and I still drive all the way to Cosmo just to have Jenny do my nails. She truly is the best!

I love the service I have been provided here!! I usually go to Victor and he is always amazing super consistent with his job. I always feel welcome and it’s always a fun experience as well.

UPDATE: went back for another pedicure. This time Will was my person. Will did an awesome job. Thumbs-up 👍. Thank you again. My feet look and feel great.1 month ago.. It has been a looong looong time since I had a pedicure. Went for the first time to Cosmos with co-workers. We all had the classic. John was the person who did my feet. He was absolutely great. John has a new client. Yes, they have a bar. No drink for me please. The massage chair had me oooing and aaaahing. Yes maam. A great treat to myself. Thanks Cosmos.

I am normally not one to take the time to do a Google review but it’s day 3 and my gel polish which I wasn’t pleased with to begin with is already coming off. I booked an appointment online a week or so prior to showing up. Upon arrival where you’re asked to check in there was no knowledge of my appointment, no problem I was still appointed someone. I told the receptionist what I was there for gel manicure pedicure and lashes. She called Kim to get me started, since I’ve been to many nail salons I could tell she wasn’t seasoned but I feel you give everyone a fair chance. While getting my pedi Kim did her best I asked her more than once to please make sure she paints the entire toenail overall I was extremely disappointed in the paint job. I’m that time the receptionist asked if I was ok I told her no I’m unhappy with my toenails so she then appointed Henry to do my manicure. I sat down told Henry what I wanted he got started I then reminded him to even my nails which he shortened all but my left thumb nail. So the rest are even except that nail he proceeded to start painting my nails literally spewing paint on to my fingers and I noticed several bubbles a spot where he had touched which is on the second picture. I felt the entire time he was rushing and didn’t care about the service he was providing. Once he was finished I didn’t bother with lashes. The receptionist asked me again was I pleased I said no showed her the paint left all over my fingers and the other issues she brought it to Henry’s attention where he stated “ wash your hands the polish come right off” no concern for the other issues. I told her don’t worry I won’t be back. Overall, I came to cosmo based on my best friend’s first experience and paint job and I wish I had of went to my normal location. For the amount I paid for my nails and toes, I could have gotten that my eyebrows arched and a strip of lashes put on there. My issue isn’t the price it’s the service received, while Kim was kinder and took her time trying to do my pedicure I was dissatisfied with the paint job. Henry was the complete opposite rushing and not caring at all how he left my nails. If I’m going to spend my money on something I prefer it be worth it. My experience at cosmo wasn’t worth a return visit even if it were free! The two stars are for Kim and the receptionist otherwise it would be none!

Im new to the area and was referred Cosmo by a co-worker. Do not come here if youre used to quality nails/nail art. I showed nail tech Ben a picture of what I wanted, Im aware not all techs can do nail art well, he told me he would be able to do what he was shown. After one hand was done and looking nothing like the picture, I asked for it to be removed and something else done. He became annoyed and drilled off the gel design, which on top of a glitter based acrylic. Ben kept saying that it was my fault since this is what I picked however what I picked and what was done was not even close. I ended up being forced to pay $53.00 for an uncomplete set of nails. No top coat, crooked nails that are not filed, color around my cuticles from the art he could not do and drilled off, glitter acrylic that has been half removed from the drill, and a rude nail tech. This is NOT the place to go.

Henry was amazing. Asked for ombré and showed a picture and they were exactly like the picture. I love them thank u! Also my appointment was right on time.

My daughter and I came in for pedicures. There was no wait, which is always a plus. We received the absolute BEST SERVICE hands down! One of my toes messed up and the RECEPTIONIST Mari came to my rescue! Literally polished my toe and made sure I was completely satisfied before leaving!! Mind you the nail tech who previously did my polish had gone for the night……. Mari you were amazing and I appreciate the extra time to help make my visit one to remember!!!

After my first time here, I can say I had an enjoyable experience. I set an appointment online and came in to be serviced right on time. Jenny did my pedicure and she was so precise and made me feel really comfortable. I recommend this place for a quality experience!

This is the second time I’ve gone there and let me say: I love my nails. I’ve got them done with Devon he’s very sweet and my complaint isn’t with staff they’re all very friendly and kind. It’s the eyebrow waxing that I have a problem with. I asked to get my eyebrows done because the last time I was here they turned out perfect! This time, though I asked for what I usually do a cleanup and following the natural brow, my waxer ended up not doing so and they turned out uneven and extremely thin. (Obviously both aren’t going to look the same but one eyebrow should not be paper thin and the other completely different). There were many people on Saturday so I understand not having the same amount of staff available to attend me right away. I did have to wait for my eyebrow waxing and the nice girl up front continued asking all nail techs if they also did brows. I don’t mind waiting, but asking someone who is unqualified/inexperienced to do brows for a customer just because you’re understaffed is extremely unprofessional. I would have rather been told “hey there’s no one today, sorry” and I would’ve just looked elsewhere or waited for another day. I will admit I didn’t complain when I saw them, I said thanks and paid and went on with my day. I’m not the type to complain, be a Karen, or make a big fuss about this but I’m so highly disappointed that I have to write this review. I don’t expect a refund however I do expect staff to be honest when there isn’t time/staff available to do certain services. I will not be returning.

I went to get my eye lashes done for first time in here with vyvy! shes the most adorable and professional person. she gave to me so many recommendations before getting my desire look, also she helped me chosing the size and volume, shes just amazing also very very friendly, kind and gentle with my eyes i even didnt cry during the process, 100% recommended

I moved from Orlando to Gainesville temporarily and was very scared to go to a new nail tech. I have natural nails that took forever to grow out, my first experience left me in tears. The gel was way to thick, uneven, lumpy and gel polish was all over my cuticles. I felt so bad to call and tell them that I needed to come back and get them redone but they were happy to correct it. When I went back I was helped by Stephanie, she was so nice and LISTENED to how I wanted them shaped and I left very happy. I went back to Stephanie today for my second appointment. She did amazing, she took great care and attention to my nails and cuticles. I appreciate her so much. She is also a hair stylist at this salon. Thank you Stephanie!

Sophia is one of the most talented nail artist I’ve ever seen! I’ve been going to Cosmo Nail Bar for over 2 years, very friendly staff & always a good laugh while your there. I’ve tried other place and this one is at the top! If you want something unique and gorgeous go see Sophia!

I’ve been going to Victor at Cosmo Nail Salon for almost a year now and he has never done me wrong!! I always come in with an inspo picture and we modify it to my liking and he brings it to life. 12/10 would recommend him for any manicures/dip powder/gel/nail art needs!

They were very professional and accommodating to me as a walk in, very clean space and friendly atmosphere. I got gel nails and toe nails, however my nails came off within 3 days and when I called to ask if they redo them they said I had to pay again. So I spent 90$ on gel polish and it lasted 3 days for my nails, my toes are still great! But my nails slid off... so yeah

Ridiculous. would give 0 stars if i could. overpriced, unprofessional, bad quality. all very good descriptions. the tech basically did what they wanted, didn’t listen at all to the simple design i wanted, and then said the one i wanted would be nearly triple what was advertised.the nails weren’t shaped, and poorly applied. the color either doesn’t reach my cuticle or drowns it. completely inconsistent, and overall ugly.waste of money.

I have had the best experience with Victor at Cosmo Nails -- hes patient, fun, and really creative! Ive had the cutest nail art since Ive started going, and I always get tons of compliments :-) I go every other week!!

Cosmo is a wonderful place to come. I am really easy to satisfy if its quality. I found that quality with the owner Mr.Ben and definitely satisfaction with getting my feet and toes done with Mr.John . I highly recommend these two gentlemens.

I made an appointment at the last minute for a medi/pedi for me and my daughter. The only reason why I’m not giving 5 stars was due to also wanting to have a facial done for my daughter. The gentleman I spoke with was suppose to call me back to confirm my daughter was eligible for a facial and did. Which was not a big deal as I understand we’re in a pandemic and understaffing is an issue among many establishments. The rest of the services that were reserved were fantastic and both me and my daughter greatly enjoyed. We will go back again for many more mother/daughter dates :)

I got my acrylics removed here and instead of soaking them prior to removing it, they just took a metal tip and pried it off my nail. I got a gel coat after the acrylics, and just a day after was when my first nail broke off and I went back to get it fixed, which they did. Two days after that my next nail broke. It has been a week since Ive gotten them done, and since then, all of them have chipped and peeled, and I had to cut the nails down to my finger tips since the breakage happened under the nails. My nails look really unhealthy and damaged still.

Yall when I tell you dont come here, DO NOT COME HERE! Ive been getting my nails done for over 20 years, and never in my life have I ever dealt with such rude/ unprofessional people. I wrote a review, was forced to pay $53, and left with nails unfinished. Someone responded to my review stating that I should reach out to resolve the issue. When I did I was told reviews are auto responded and they could only fix my nails, but not free of charge. All I want is my money returned, because I did not receive what I paid for. WORST NAIL SALON IN GVILLE!!!

I tried to give this salon a second chance, but Ive been disappointed both times. My first trip there, I was a walk-in, and the nail techs were literally training the new tech as she was doing my nails. My nails came out really poorly and not sure why they thought itd be a good idea to give a client to a tech who is still training, and evidently not prepared to be taking clients. I had to keep reminding her to turn on the LED light to cure my nails each time she applied a coat. My second trip there (different tech), again, my nails turned out poor quality (half of my nails werent even fully painted, they dont pay attention to detail). My cuticles were also bleeding/burning afterwards due to the tech carelessly doing them.I also dont know if this salon tries to up-charge people or if it was a genuine mistake, but I was convinced I was overcharged the first time I went and they were offended that I even asked. The second time I went, I received the same service and got charged for the amount that I had estimated ($30 dollar difference from what I was charged the first time). Was a bit shady to me. I will definitely be looking for a new salon.

This is a nice place to receive nail services. I had one service that I wasnt happy with but they fixed it the next day. They also offer drinks while you receive services. Overall, I really like Cosmos and the customer service.

Great atmosphere, clean and professional. Had an appointment waited for about 10mins which wasnt bad at all. Did a great job on my nails BUT very pricey if you want designs, it was worth it. No drinks were offrered, may be due to Covid.

I went with my friends and the receptionist was beyond rude to my friend. James did her nails a different color than she requested. We asked for nude and he did them pink. She voices her concerns and he tried to fix it but it couldn’t be fixed. He then went on to charge her more than what he said he would charge her because he charged her for changing the color although it wasn’t her fault the color had to be changed. He chose the wrong color. We explained all of this to the receptionist and james who then went on to say “I’m not changing the price you have to pay for the time.” Which I completely agree with the time part but I shouldn’t have been charged $15 extra for a mistake that wasn’t mine. What about the quality of the nails? Never going back.Update: They called and spoke to my friend after we wrote reviews and they did fix her nails.

Its ok. The lady who did my pedicure was awesome, really nice, comfy chairs for that. I got a set of acrylic nails that have been quite awful. He tore up my cuticles, the acrylic is uneven and some of it is pushing into the side of my fingernail. The underside is quite sloppy... I had to clean it up a bit after I got home. Im tempted to just soak them off but I spent $100 on both of these surfaces.Edit: I had my nails taken off professionally and needless to say, I will not be coming back. My nails are so heavily damaged. Id have better luck getting some glue ons from the dollar store. At least my nail bed wouldnt be falling off right now. Seriously disappointed considering how well this place is reviewed.

My sister always gets her nails done here by BEN!!.. and I always love them! I do not live in Gainesville but was in town and just had to come let Ben do my nails ! He was very professional and took his time. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he gave me that and more!! If you love beautiful nails please go see him!! It was worth the trip!

The only good thing about this place is you can drink while receiving services. As soon as the tech got started on my nails I witnessed a couple techs being very rude to another customer. I would have walked out if they hadnt started on my friend and my nails. I got a full set of acrylics and most nails peeled up within the first week. They were sloppily shaped as well. I will not be returning.

First off I have been going to this salon every 2weeks for 3months I was so pleased with them I started my daughter to going ...that all stopped 2weeks ago I got my nails done by a person I have never had do them before in station 18 the curved nails pink and white acrylics with 2nails with diamond shimmer I paid $78 no problem first problem they were thin 2nd they werent shaped into coffins...ugh..I paid ...and left not pleased at all that was Thursday... Saturday morning heading to work Im digging in my purse a nail breaks ...what the freak I get off work go to get it fixed I ask 4another person to fix it they werent happy with my asking for that I should be able to ask 4anyone to do my nails I feel Im the one paying... Then the person who fixes it puts a clear v nail not a curved nail on my nail after Im sitting there telling them thats not the nail I have on my finger...then they put a deeper color pink rather then the light pink powder I just let them finished I paid and I will never return again ...I usual pay between 80 and 150 on my nails to be done every 2weeks at Cosmo and I didnt appreciate the treatment and lack of customer service they had when I wanted my nails done a certain way its pose to be done my way Im the customer so oh well...theres plenty nail places out here

I previously had an issue when I got my nails done and was very unsatisfied with the service. But they offered to redo my nails for free and did an impeccable job. They took their time and made sure that I was happy this time. Will be returning!

We booked an appointment for 2 & there wasnt a single staff available to take us when we arrived, nobody even approached us or asked what service we booked.What is the point of having a book ahead service if you’re taking walk ins OVER your bookings?You clearly took walk ins over your booked appointments qs there wasnt a single staff available when we arrived.We waited 20 minutes after our appointment watching everybody work away on their clients & it was painfully obvious nobody else was there or available.We waited 20 minutes without being approached before walking out.

Sophia is amazing!My first experience at Cosmo was about a year ago. I got an acrylic set and I wasn’t too happy about how they turned out.I decided to try it again this weekend and got Sophia. She did my nails perfect & was so pleasant to talk to. I’ll definitely be returning & booking with her.

I was fortunate to have Leah take care of me. She was kind and patient while I decided on a color. She gives a lovely leg massage. I left with very pretty fingers and toes!

They did a great job with our pedicure and acrylic nails. The place was clean and professional, offered a free beverage and were pleasant.

I got a dip manicure and it chipped the next day, they did not use a base coat of white dip like I have had other places do so I think that may be why. The light pink color also changed in the sun and turned yellowish. I had heard great things about this place so I am disappointed with my experience, and disappointed with the prices, they charged $5 to remove my old dip which was only left on 4 of my nails.

I could tell they do beautiful work as everyone recommends them, but I definitely felt unwelcome and uncomfortable in there. My tech barely spoke to me, and when I asked for designs he told me no. I don’t see why they showcase all of these beautiful designs and then not actually do them. I wanted special nails for my graduation but instead I got basic gel. I don’t think I’d give this salon another try. My nails look kind of lumpy and not at all what I wanted.

Super clean, lots of techs so you dont have to wait usually. Ive been here twice and had a good experience both times. I signed up for their rewards program and then got a 15% off text if I came back before the end of the month since it had been a while since I came in. That was very nice!! Good range of colors and they always have them in stock. Complimentary drinks and the staff is super friendly!! The tech did a great job on my toes. One of the best pedicures Ive had in Gainesville. I got the spa pedicure for $10 more and it was definitely worth it! Location is also super convenient being right in the new Butler Plaza area.

Joseph is really great at his work. He is very complete and makes sure his clients leave happy with their nails and toes.

JOSEPH was the reason for this one star review.I want to start off by saying the person who did my nails did an amazing job and was super polite. I’m not going to say her name because she doesn’t need to be associated with a negative review.Joseph on the other hand, extremely rude. A friend and I came to get our nails done before my wedding. We come from customer service backgrounds and are very low maintenance. It takes a lot to get us to even speak up about something. We understand that things happen sometimes and that’s no big deal.As for our experience today. They were obviously busy when we got there and said it’d be a 15min wait. We said that was fine, and they actually got us seated in about 5min.They seated us one after another, my pedicure and manicure started right away. My friend sat waiting with no one even approaching for a LONG time. We had to ask 4-5 different times who would be helping her. My entire pedicure was finished and I was moved away to another area for my manicure before anyone finally approached her.All she got was a Deluxe pedicure with black polish. To our surprise, she was given gel by Joseph. She did not ask for it, he did not ask if she wanted it.Even still, we were charged for it.I stood at the front waiting to pay and my friend ran to the car for her wallet. To our shock, Joseph ran out the front door (much quicker then anyone jumped to help when we first got there) and yelled at her telling her she needs to pay.We clearly came together, she got the car keys from me, and we were clearly leaving together as I stood at the front waiting to pay.We were informed by staff that this is a reoccurring issue with Joseph. Management did very little to help the situation. They took $5 off after I said we were just going to pay for it and leave.Joseph had the nerve to offer $10 off is he removed her entire pedicure.I’m shocked by how rude he was and how this experience went. We drove in from out of town for the wedding so we won’t be coming here again anyway, but I’m still shocked by how this was handled.Just be careful of up-charges being applied to your bill and be prepared for them to removed your mani/pedi rather than working with you so solve the issue.Avoid. There are just too many nail salons on earth to deal with this.Rude employee, but piss poor management was even worse.

I have had many services done at Cosmo, but today was the first day I took advantage of their hair services. The stylist, Stephanie, executed what I wanted done perfectly! Her attention to detail with a pixie clipper cut was wonderful.

The lady did my face waxing she was Not Professional at all Joesph does waxing in 15 min full face clean...And this lady was soo bad she burn my skin also❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌🚫❌❌❌❌⛔️⛔️

My friend and I went to go pedicures. The ladies did not listen to us about what we wanted at all. The lady that did my friends feet kept using cold water after she repeated asking her not to. And she kept massaging her calves after she asked her not. We just wasnt happy with the results or the customer service. Very disappointing 😕

My first time experience was without a glitch. Being that I havent had my nails done in years other than 2 months ago I wasnt familiar with the new techniques. Lisa explained and did a wonderful job on my nails. I got a mood color....I will try more things later lol PS and she did a good job only brows

Horrible service got acrylic gel refill basic color no addition designs nothing and it cost $41. The guy literally spent less than 30 minutes with me. He literally skipped so many steps in the nail process. My nails are crooked, uneven and look like blocks on my fingers because he didn’t even shave down from the top so they look natural. One of my nails from the side doesn’t even have paint on it. Ridiculous.

This is one of the best nail salons Ive ever used. No matter who does my nails, they are consistently beautiful; and with a gel manicure, very long lasting. The nails in the attached photo were done 8 days ago. It can get crowded so either make an appointment or call for availability during peak hours. A cool fringe benefit is the availability of wine and frozen drinks. Give your birth date when you check in the first time and youll get a discount.

I love going here! I am always really awkward and shy as a person, but the staff makes me feel really comfortable.I dont personally get very extravagant nails because of my job, but the technicians that work here are super talented artists! Everyone who was leaving the salon had gorgeous nails. :)The receptionist is extremely efficient and kind. The chairs are comfy, the building is clean, stylish, and well kept. Everything about this salon is 10/10!

Shophia was great but the guy who did my pedicure didnt listen to what I asked.

They only care for your money and do not care to give you what you pay for. They will also add on charges that you didn’t consent to. Extremely rude when you ask to have it worked out and the manager will let the rude receptionist Holly get away with it. Holly treated me disgustingly and I will not be returning here ever again, neither will my sorority sisters.

I wanted to like this place, it has a fun energy. Finished gel manicure is messy, lumpy, top coat is spilling over onto skin, and my pinky finger is so raw it cracked. Too many fussy kids and water bowl was cold. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have been to cosmo a few times the last time I wasn’t sure if I would come back because I felt like my daughter and I nails were rushed but this last visit was amazing my girl Jessica did a amazing job she got me right for Mother’s Day I will definitely be coming back again and bringing a friend are two and asking for her she was well worth my money..... ☺️

If y’all are looking for one of the best nail salons in Gainesville in just about every aspect, it’s Cosmo. Their service is efficient, friendly and I never walk out without a smile on my face. You pay for what you get here, and there are a wide array of options for any kind of budget. I don’t usually book with any specific technician, because they’re all amazing! Cosmo also has a loyalty program and sends coupons to your phone if you haven’t been in for a while. What isn’t to love?

My acrylics started falling off after 2 weeks. i did sns but it started to chip . also charged me for a coffin shape but this is not a coffin shape. i am very upset with this very poor quality

I love this place they are amazing. I do security work so I was worried about my acrylics breaking or getting messed up but Im about to get my second fill in and they hold up great. We drive about an hour to get here but worth it. Pedicures are amazing there to I have lower back issues so I cant sit very well and they are very nice and understanding and work with me.

TerribleI asked for acrylic nails in the almond shape, well they charged me for full set acrylic nails with gel, I don’t get gel then they charged me $8 for the shape a $5 for 4 stickers, never going back again
