Disappointing in the job done on my moms nails and mine. Not 100% of the nail bed was painted on many of our fingernails. Our toes looked good and we enjoyed the treatment of the pedicure.Julie was rough with mom when she took her nails off and they hurt for days after.The tools weren’t clean and at one point I almost asked for a clean file since the one she was using looked used. Don’t know why I didn’t.After tipping Julie $28 cash I saw her keep the $20 and give the other girl a few dollars.I had expected them to split it.Me and my mother don’t do well with confrontation so didn’t say anything then. It weighed on us and we decided to make a review (which we NEVER do).

Such a soothing, relaxing atmosphere and truly attentive service. My husband and I wont go anywhere else. This place has spoiled us!

I was refused service because I did not have a mask. I asked the man that was working if he could provide one and he said no, but I could go somewhere else and buy one, then come back. He was rude in the way he addressed me and my thought process is that if you want business, why make it difficult for customers to be there? I did not have a mask in my car and would have worn one if provided. I left and went to California Nails, which is right across the street. This place is much better with a nicer staff and they did not require a mask. I will be giving California Nails a five star rating.

It’s a shame the owner is so rude to its customers. I’ve seen people walk in as their signage outside says is welcome & turn people away. I used to see a lady that’s no longer there & began seeing Sheila which I really liked but after calling yesterday to reschedule and speaking to the owner who was very rude I decided to cancel and find a new salon in Gainesville as there’s many to choose from. I really like this salon but this place needs new ownership before I’ll ever return. Also, the guy that used to work up front was nice but I haven’t seen him in months. I’ve seen a lot of people the past year leave & I can only imagine why.

This was the most amazing pedicure I have ever gotten. The atmosphere is beautiful, clean and relaxing! The staff is kind and professional! The prices are amazing and the pedicure was full of services I wasn’t expecting ! The only questions you have to answer are what color and would you like a drink! I don’t think I’ll ever go anywhere else!

They charged me $30 for my pedicure and $20 for my manicure and let me tell you its the best service i have ever received here in Gainesville. The salon is decorated beautifully and they always have relaxing music. It is exceptionally clean and organized. My tech is called Tina and she is so calming, gentle, polite and patient. I absolutely recommend this salon to everyone!

The place is spotless and they are complying with all Covid rules and are making sure your experience is safe with temp checks, gloves, masks and face shields, washing hands before and after each client. This place used to be excellent. This is my second visit and the quality is below average.Nails look good but cuticle remove is ridiculously aggressive. On both visits I have been cut and my nail bed feels sore.

Beautiful salon, extremely relaxing! I had an incredible experience. This is by far the best salon I have ever been to and I have been to many across Georgia, including Atlanta. They give you a luxurious pedicure with a scrub, hot towels, hot stone massage, lotion massage and finishing off with a great polish. I am very particular about my polish and the way my nails are cut. It was fabulous! The manicure was incredible as well. They actual cut your cuticles all the way around and put your hands in a hot mask, hot stone massage and lotion as well. Not only are their services great but their staff is so kind and very professional. Thank you Solara Sol!

Walked in for pedicures and there was no one waiting. Employees sitting around and was told they were booked up for the day. Definitely won’t ever go back to this place and was in a bad side of town. If your door says walk ins welcome then I expect you should have staff that is willing to work...

The best nail salon i’ve ever been to! I just went here for the first time & it was a great experience. it looks super fancy & has a calming vibe. i was offered something to drink upon arriving. my nails were done faster than i’ve ever have them done, maybe 30 mins, but they still looked amazing! & they give you a bunch of extra treatment like a hand scrub, wax with a warm rag, hot coals, and then lotion to top it off. i’ll never go anywhere else after going here.

This is a professional nail salon but yet they charge $35 for a pedicure and use drugstore brand products and Hone Depot kitchen dish scrubber on your legs and feet. The owner admitted to me that he buys his nail supplies at Sam’s club instead of going to a professional supply house.

I’ve been going to Solara sol for over a year now and I’ve never had a bad experience until today. My regular is Quincy but due to the fact that she’s on vacation I had went with someone else and her name is Julie. She did not do a very good job and she was to rough and my hands. My fingers are sore and literally throbbing from the pain. She left lumps on my nails from the sns. I kept pulling my hand away cause she was hurting me and she kept pulling it back being for rough. I’ve tried to tell the manager about it and he didn’t even care to listen at all. I am truly disappointed i am never going back there unless Quincy is there.

I’ve been here twice now and both experiences have been awful. I got my nails done yesterday for my birthday and while I was cleaning my nail just popped off. They were not even on for 24 hours ! I’m so disappointed never going back there again save your money and go somewhere else!

Ditto to a previous review - have been there 4 times now. The nail techs are too temperamental and moody.. Condescending and entitled... will not go back. This is supposed to be a treat to do something nice for yourself, not have this type of unpleasant attitude for the hour or so it takes to get your nails done. Disappointed but will just move on.

Walk-ins usually have a reasonable wait time but they also take appointments. They have a good selection of gel polishes but they dont offer the SNS acrylic powder which is a little disappointing. Pretty consistently the best nail salon Ive visited, but there are definitely a few employees who take the small details of pedicures more seriously than others. Sometimes they will spend extra time clipping my cuticles and working on my heels and massaging, other appointments I feel more like Im getting a quick foot bath, a little oiled up, swiftly painted, and sent on my way. The guy who works the front desk comes off a little short with customers sometimes, but they are efficient and I recommend them!

The attention to detail and the wonderful way they take time to pamper me was more than I ever expected! I would highly recommend it and if there is a wait, come back or make an appointment! You will not be disappointed! Now if I could only find a salon like this in Florida!

Ouch! Went in for nails today. Normally a relaxing experience but the tech was extremely rough. My fingers actually ache. He pinched so hard and twisted my fingers in unnatural ways. When I said it hurt nothing changed. Manicure is awful and lights were turned out while I was paying. Ugh have an event tomorrow and no time to get this fixed. Spent $50.00 to be tortured.

Good experience. I like that the chair leg is adjustable since I am short. They do the little extra things that make you feel pampered. I would like to see them use liners in the foot basins. The decor is a little over the top, but that seems to be a cultural thing.

Worst place ever. I got my nails done by someone who was clueless as to what they were doing. They kept messing up.... I was frustrated but patient. During the whole process I had to keep telling him how I wanted them because he wouldnt do them right each time. And the worst part was that they turned our horrible! I told them I didnt like them and they proceeded to tell me in a very rude manner, that they do not care and that they are not quailified to do a good job.. and that came from the owner. Solara Sol, LLC is my favorite nail salon. It is my go-to place to be pampered, relax and de-stress. I never have to worry about my money or time going to waste, as I am always 100% satisfied with any service(s) I receive. The environment is serene, and the decor is gorgeous. Additionally, not only is the staff completely professional, but they are friendly, patient, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure each customer is satisfied.I always make a point to pay close attention as the nail technician first begins to apply the nail polish, so that I can alert the nail technician if I am not satisfied with the color, and choose another one. On one occasion, I was so relaxed while getting a pedicure, that I wasnt paying attention when the polish was being applied. Unfortunately, I didnt end up liking the color I had initially chose, as it didnt compliment my skin tone. I asked my pedicurist, a bit embarrassingly (because she had already painted both feet), if I could choose a different color. She could not have been more polite and accommodating, as she promptly removed the color and personally helped me pick out a more suitable color of polish for my skin tone. She even took it upon herself to reassure me that I had nothing to worry about, and that her sole concern was that I be happy and satisfied with my pedicure, which I most certainly was! I wasnt even asked to pay an extra charge, but I did make sure to leave her a nice tip for her consideration and excellent work.I will always be a loyal customer to Solara Sol, LLC. If youve never been there before, I highly recommend getting your next beauty treatment there. Youll be so happy you did, because they are truly exceptional!

Came in for a pedi today. They had very few gel colors to choose from. Every design I asked for noone could do it! Not a flower, palm tree nor ombre! I asked for diamonds and nope they couldnt do that either. They put a line of glitter polish where I wanted diamonds. Sheila was very rude! Tina did my toes and never said a word to me! Wow what a waste!

Their sns nails seem to last longer without chipping or breaking compared to Paris nails but getting seen here sometimes is a challenge! One time I came here & there was going to be an hour wait. Today I went there at 11:30am on a weekday. There were only three names on the sign-in sheet but yet he said there were no SNS appointments available for the whole day!

Paid $48 for SNS, 2 weeks later my nails are chipping and breaking apart. The SNS is so thin in some parts of my nails you can see straight thru the SNS and see my nails. Lost my index nail due to the break. No willingness to resolve or make right.

Every single time I go in I have to wait about 30 min to and hour for anybody to start on my nails. Last time I went in it took 3.5 hours to get a mani/pedi. I asked what I had to do next time to get started faster and they said make appointment. I told them to take the walk-ins welcome sign down then. I just went in to get a nail fixed because it broke and it took me an hour before anybody came over to fix it. For how expensive it is, I expect more. I will never return.

Went to get a pedicure and had my 2 year old daughter with me, she cried for about a minute and the staff started to make bad comments. She was calm after I hold her and Mary decided to grab her harm to put some lotion and it made it worst. None of the customers made any remarks only the staff. Well my pedicure was not complete and they still charged me full price. If they dont want any children they should have a sign at the front door. My daughter cried maybe 3 minutes max but I guess it seemed forever to them. Im 38 weeks pregnant and just wanted a nice pedicure.

Very rude experience. I came here because of the high reviews. I walked in at 430pm before the closing time of 6pm and was turned away because they were busy and was told to come back tomorrow. This is highly unprofessional as I called at 4:15pm and was advised I would come in for a fill in. RUDE RUDE RUDE !!!!! My friend and I took our 60 each else where. Dont come here if youre expecting good friendly customer service. If this was the last nail shop on earth Ill learn to do my own nails before I ever returned. Im only giving them one star because I cant give zero.

This place is horrible, the laday named Ann is so rude while putting on my nails she would throw my hands around, didnt really know what she was doing amd wasnt sure how to trim down my nails so they got left way to long, they are not flat the are rounded and it looks very bad, she also clumped on the Gel which made them look even worse i asked her to fix it and she didn’t even know what i was talking about nor did she fix it, she cut my fingers while fileling and did nothing you asked i had to ask her to paint the rest of my nail. this was just ridiculous to much money for what you get, i need to go somewhere else to have my nails fixed now. never going back. i would give it no stars if this let me
