I absolutely love their services here however I feel it unprofessional to turn a client away two days in a row when they arrive before closing each time (30 mins). I was told to come back tomorrow and then was turned away again. All I wanted was a gel manicure. If you’re not to take any more customers for the day, I would recommend turning off your flashing open sign. I will not be coming back.

I randomly stopped by this nail salon for a pedicure and pleasantly surprised it was only $25! The most affordable I can find in Gainesville near campus. It was an hour wait since it was Sunday evening but I was warned about the wait. Kim was my nail tech. I loved the long feet massage and she took time to engage in conversation with me. Cut cuticles well and painted my toe nails perfectly! I just didn’t rate 5 stars because its not a luxurious spot, they should invest in the ambience and cleanliness. Wax eyebrows $10

AMAZING DIP JOB!! Im from out of town on vacation and it’s took me two days to find a place to do my nails as good as my home. Great experience and incredible job this place did on my nails. Price is incredible and they are so so so nice. They are new management. Super detailed and they did my design exactly how I wanted it. Recommend anyone that does dip or gel and wants really great cuticles and is picky about their nails. I wish I could give 10 stars!

Love these guys always! They treat you like family always nice fast and willing to help you if your short on time! Ive been going here sense I was 18 and I dont ever plan on stopping! They can do anything your heart can desire! And they even do pedis too! Perfect mom and daughter day! Just saying!😘😘😘 Or just treat yourself YOU deserve it! And you wont regret it!

Kim and Brandon have always been awesome with our services. We drive 45 minutes each way to see them. Worth the trip.

I went to get acrylics done and the lady was very rough and seemed rushed with my hands. Couple weeks later I went to get them removed at a different salon and it was very difficult and painful. The other salon told me that it was due to the fact that this salon had filed my natural nails dangerously thin when applying the acrylic. Now my natural nails are extremely frail and damaged.

My nail shape was amazing! Great color options. The staff was so friendly and welcoming!! 100% recommend.

They messed my polish up, it just became a week and it looks clumpy already, they are rude and move very slow I look young and they tried to treat me as I was a child I highly don’t appreciate it

My experience was phenomenal. I came in around 10:30am and got a great pedicure (my favorite actually cause that foot massage was bomb). After paying and walking to my car, my car wouldn’t start and my phone had just died two minutes prior. The older guy there was so kind, he came out to look at my car and let me use his phone to call someone. He also gave me great advice about the car so yeah. This has to be my nail place from now because this first time experience was just so eventful. Highly recommended

I have been in Gainesville for over 6 years now and this is by far my favorite nail salon. Went for the first time a few months ago and have been a regular ever since. Each time is always as great as the last. They are under new management and the family is just oh so sweet. Very pleased every time I go. Prices are reasonable for the wonderful service they provide, clean atmosphere, and great customer service. So glad to have found them:)

When I got there the people were super nice; however, as he started doing my nails I noticed he used items that had been previously used. He also left acrylic gel under my nails, and got polish on my fingers. This place was dirty. On top of that, there was a lady getting her nails done and they had to soak and the employee just pulls out her phone and puts it right up to her face so that the lady couldn’t make conversation with her, I am not going here again.

Have been here three times and have had a great experience every time! The staff is so friendly and my gel manicure always comes out amazing and lasts 2 weeks. I highly recommend star nails!

Friday went in for a gel mani and regular pedi it is now Wednesday and I have 5 nails lifting i called to advise and was told to come in to show her so she can make a decision and was told yes we can fix it but you would have to pay....I dont think anyone should be expected to pay for a service not done correctly....

One of my favorite nail salons in town. After trying many, I only go here or Spa Royal. Nice looking manicure and pedicures that last. Tons of new colors to choose from. Courteous owners and staff. Fair prices plus student discount with ID. Been coming here for 5 years .

John and Lisa are so sweet! They spoke to me and my friend while giving us manicures, and the did great jobs, were efficient, the prices were reasonable (our manicures were $16), everything seemed clean and well sterilized, and, contrary to some reviews I’ve seen, they had an ample selection of colors. I really enjoyed my visit! Highly recommended for nails.

I so loooove Star Nails! My nails are always on point. Wish I could load a pic of my nails now... I get stopped everyday and get so many compliments!!!! Prices are reasonable and Im glad they are stepping on the game with whats on trend now.

The older couple are very sweet and friendly, with attentive work that shows. Reasonable and clear pricing as well. Color selection is well organized.

I was soooo happy to see that they are open on Sundays I have visited here plenty of times in the past but because of my job hours I barely get to get my nails done like I used to and when I seen that they were open on Sunday I rushed over there and was very pleased with the service. Prices are still reasonable and definitely worth the wait I barely sat for no more then 25 minutes before I was seen. Definitely recommend them anyday.

I always enjoy coming here, peaceful, quiet and they actually polish my nails really good, and it’s lasts a long time. This is my new favorite place to go.

I love John and his Wife they are very attentive and polite. John is a nail perfectionist! Great prices and a lovely store, calm setting next to food places. I come here for my monthly mani pedi. Gel polish is even better.

If there was an option for NO stare Id choose that. I came in for a simple eyebrow wax and the lady told me NO she cant do it because I have a small scar from stitches on my eyebrow (which Ive had for the last 20+ years) and Ive never had an issue with someone else waxing it. She didnt even attempt to do it just said no and went back to doing someone elses hands. I will NEVER come here again, that was totally disrespectful.

Great massage chairs, but the photo of the nail polish selection was not what they had in the salon. Poor color selection, polish bottles were off color (old), nail techs were mediocre at their craft. We wont be back but I do have to say the place was clean and odor free.

Under new mgmt. Clean, comfortable, friendly....and Jacky did a fabulous job on both my gel pedicure and my SNS nail fill. Im from Minneapolis and in town for business. That said, next time Im in Gainesville I will make an appointment and visit them again. I highly recommend Jacky at Star Nails.

Went to this shop on August 3! Which was last Friday to get a full set! Guess what polish already peeled off and nails chipped the acrylic is put on so paper thin it’s not even worth paper $39! I will never go back to the husband n wife ever again!

My friend and I went in for a relaxing day to get mani/pedi done for a wedding we were going the following day. The people seemed very nice. My guy had very soft hands and he took care of me.The reason why this place gets a poor score from me is what happened to my friend and my own nails later.During mani, two of my friends fingers bled and shes had more mani/pedi than me and she said this hasnt happened before. It was sad to watch. My friend and I are clumsy so we took extra precautions to make sure our nails were dry before we left the salon. However by the next day (day of the wedding) my manicure was chipping off (index finger) and so was my friends. It is day two now and top half of 6 out of 10 of my nails have chipped off. Yes I wash my hands but Ive done nails for my self and Ive at least made it through a week. Seriously....At least my pedicure is looking good, I guess.

I only left one star bc the guy bothered to actually test the different shades of pink to see which one would go best with my fill. They had a younger guy painting some girls nails bright pink and I felt so bad for her and wanted to tell her to make him stop bc it was goopy and uneven and looked awful. My nails were filled and after I left I already had white around the edges because they didnt fill up the cuticle. I will never go back here and this is what I get for not going to my normal person only because they were booked. Go to happy nails in front of canopy apartment and Marcos pizza- have been goin for four years! Theyre pink and whites look natural and I get so many compliments all the time bc they look fantastic.

I had the french gel nails I had been wearing for more than two weeks removed and redone because my nails had grown out a bit. Two days later, it looks like my nails are turning orange! If I had known this was going to happen, I would have just kept the gel nails I had done somewhere else a little longer!! I dont know if its the kind of gel they use or what, but I cant justify spending $38 for not even three full days of looking good :(

Worst experience ever...all my nails were different shapes nail polish all over my fingers...when i asked the older woman that works there to please fix it she got an attitude and made me wait for another customer to get done so someone else could paint my nails....overall it was awful dont go here
