Very unprofessional. Worst ever I have experienced. Technician sent fake email that he showed up at my residence even though he didnt. My ring camera never captured any alert, my phone never received any text. I called them 4 times, and every time they said that technician did showed up, on top of that they are giving me an appointment two weeks from now.If you have American Home Shield or any other Appliance insurance and they assign you this appliance repair company, ask them to assign someone else, as these guys are just gonna waste your time and test your patience.

They came to repair a light in the fridge that was no longer turning on. Ordered the light board for about $250 and and a $10 switch. When they came and put in the switch light board started working. They keeep telling they will issue credit for the light board. I have called them three different times and they dont do anything about my refund. They keep saying the parts reclaimation department will call me back. Last time I pressed them for a confirmation number and they said there system is down and I will have to call back again. So let see if they give me a refund for $250

We contacted Sear’s to repair our washer purchased from Sear’s many years ago. Upon arrival we bought a warranty suggested by the technician to cover all our appliances in our home after 30 days. The service tech ordered parts and set up follow up appointment. On day of appointment no call and no show. We called and were informed appointment had to be rescheduled. 4 or 5 days later at the appointment the technician says it’s a 2 man job and more parts are needed. Set up another appointment so another week goes by. Two technicians show up and work on washer and came to conclusion that the washer cannot be repaired in field and was told we needed a new washer. Have not been reimbursed for all the parts charged to us and told up to 21 days to get the refund they offered which does not cover our cost of the $500 warranty. We have been told this is under investigation. Went and bought a brand new GE washer and dryer.

Very poor service. Took 3 months to fix ice maker on fridge only to be told freezer for was broken and we had to buy a new fridge. Customer service is all overseas and difficult to understand. Last technician called for a supposed scheduled appt, sent me an agreed estimate with an X for my supposed signature. Will never use again.

Buyer be aware of this. I purchase a warranty when I got my refrigerator and BOOM my refrigerator goes bad. Called and told them the problem and they came out to repair it. 3 visits later they can’t fix it anymore since the both techs that came out said that they found oil in the line and that is making a loud noise. That I should ask for a replacement. 2 months go by and I haven’t heard anything nor a follow up to fix the problem. I have called and waited my longest 4hrs just to find out that my claim is waiting to approved by the manager. Up to this date I have no refrigerator fix nor a call. HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID BUYING FROM SEARS

Always a great experience with Sears. The reason why I use them over the independent techs is due to the fact they carry most of the common items in their trucks and can fix the issue on the spot without having to order and come back another day which adds to the downtime for an appliance. The price might be a little bit more but what you get is a higher level of care.

Technician showed up for the repair. I had actually researched the problem on Google and knew what was wrong and what part needed to be replaced. The tech did his diagnosis and told me the problem was water frozen in the drain line in the wall of the refrigerator. I told him that the refrigerator drain tube clip evaporator needed to be replaced. He said it was fine and that I needed to unplug the fridge and let the drain line thaw. If that didnt work he said there would be nothing else that could be done. I let the drain line thaw for 24 hours. Plugged the fridge back in and in a couple of days I had the same water and ice underneath my deli drawer. So I unplugged my fridge again and I ordered the $5.55 drain tube clip evaporator. Removed the inside back panel of the fridge and installed the clip myself. AMAZING!! No more ice and water underneath my deli drawer. Too bad that I pay for a maintenance agreement with Sears on this fridge and it did me absolutely no good. Of course the tech was not going to listen to a lay person tell him what was wrong with the fridge. He got it very wrong this time. If I had followed his advice I would be purchasing a new replacement fridge instead of a $5.55 part. Very disappointing!!

The service call was for an outdoor grill repair. The repairman could not park on my drive way near the grill, he parked on the street and walked in my back yard without any tools. He asked me for a battery, lighter for the grill and then a screw driver to repair my grill light which at that point I stated: you will have to go get some tools. I gave 2 stars because the grill did light as it should when he left.

One of my ovens has been down for a year (I have a double oven). Waiting on a part. The part originally came in 4 months after first visit but did not work. Was reordered. Called them to check status last week. Friendly customer service person assigned me another service call. The technician called me, asked if the part was in, I said no. He mentioned it had been a year and I should just cancel Sear. Figure out something else. Appreciate the great help. They refunded me the part cost but kept the service charge of $249. Understand why Sears is not doing well. Disappointing experience.

The wait times are typically very long between assessment and then if parts are needed. They only give you first available if parts are ordered which extends your down time by up to two weeks sometimes. My washer has been down for over a month and just repaired but still do not think it is fixed as it is making a horrific noise now.

I had water leaking out of my washer on one specific cycle of my machine. The technician told me his company would not allow him to stay here for the cycle to run! So he was unable to repair my machine or diagnose the problem. He asked how much detergent I used. I told him I have an automatic dispenser that I only refill every few weeks, so the washer dispenses the soap. He appeared completely unfamiliar with this! He asked what I cleaned the machine with. I showed him the washer cleaner that the manufacturer recommended. Again, he seemed completely unfamiliar! The washer is not fixed and the problem has not been diagnosed, because his company does not allow him to spend the time here to do so. He did take my service call money!

First repairman that arrived did not see the tub that was next to the washed and dumped water in my kitchen sink. Right then and there I knew there was going to be a problem. He tipped the washer and it slipped sending water all over, into other rooms and he didnt see that either. Mopping up all the water that went into the TV room, BIG mess.He continued for 2 hrs pushing buttons and finally said he couldnt fix it and would order part. Second repairman that came a week later knew what he was doing and had it fixed with no flood to our house.

The technician that came out did a good job and was very polite and professional. However Sears promised that the maintenance package for my mower included a number of things that the technician did not do. Sears has once again promised and did not deliver. Sears used to be one of the best US companies. In the past 3 years they have been one of the worst companies I have dealt with. They continue to find new ways to cheat me as a customer. The only reason I have continued to use them is because the item I bought from then had a warranty. Sears has made it clear that they do not value my business and I will not be buying anything else from Sears once the warranty for this item expires.

Want my honest opinion? The repairman was great (all of them deserved a 5 star), however the bureaucracy that Sears runs their repair warranty service is abysmal.Let me explain.WEEK 1 - NO WASHERWe purchased an extended warranty for the washer and dryer we bought at Sears. Our washer died recently so we called Sears to use our extended warranty. A service call was schedule and took a week for the repairman to come out.WEEK 2 - NO WASHERRepairman came out and assessed the problems. It was 1 of 3 possible causes. So Sears approved to send the 1st washer part that could fix it. (Instead of sending out the 3 parts that they identified, their policy is to send out the cheapest part, see if that works, if it doesnt, they will then send the next part...) It took 1.5 weeks to get the part to arrive, then they repairman took a week to be scheduled to come out. TOTAL WAIT TIME 2.5 WEEKS.WEEK 4.5 - NO WASHERRepairman comes out. Part did not fix the problem. So he received approval for the second part. With the time for the part to be sent and then the time we had to wait for rescheduling the service man, 3 weeks. TOTAL WAIT TIME 3 WEEKS.WEEK 7.5 (Lets say 2 months) - NO WASHERRepairman came out. Thank god the part worked. If it didnt the repairman would have felt my distain for their policies and procedures.Nearly 2 months without a washing machine for a family of 4 is very challenging. While the extended warranty saved us money in the long run, Sears policy should be changed. It is a lose lose way to do business. It frustrates the customer for having to wait so long and the repairman looks bad and bears the brunt for the frustration.

I was extremely dissatisfied with the repair process. The process to schedule an annual check up for an extended warranty and get a LED light unit replaced took 3 separate Tuesdays. The first Tuesday I was told that my serviceman would arrive between 8am and noon, but I was called about 11:30 am and told that it would be after 1pm., but I had an appointment and could not wait. The second Tuesday my scheduled service person could ONLY DO ANNUAL MAINTENANCE and could not replace LED light, a second service person was sent who SHOWED ME how to replace LED light and ordered the part. The wrong part was sent. I called and request a repairman with the correct part to come and install it, and was informed that the correct part had been sent. On the final Tuesday, the repairman asked for the part to replace the light and confirmed it was the wrong part.He however did have the correct part and did replace LED light.

I did not know that using the self cleaning option on electronic ovens would possibly damage the oven, so when I did, the thermofuse burned out. The repairman came as scheduled and worked very hard to remove my oven and repair it. He explained the cost options clearly, and was very knowledgeable and able to answer my questions. My oven was too low for the dolly, but he had a backup plan that worked very well. When he put it back in the wall, it made a buzzing sound, so he patiently took it out again and was able to stop the noise. I would not hesitate to call Sears Appliance Repair again. But I will not use the self cleaning option again!

HorribleLooked up the repair center online, Sears website clearly states you can drop the appliance--microwave, in my case--off for repair. Just to make sure, I call them, explain what I want to do, and am told I can go to the repair center and drop off the microwave. I drive to the store: guess what? No drop off available. I find this out after serious runaround from several well meaning, but clueless associates. This included standing around in the appliance department watching two associates try to figure out how to do something on an iPad for 5 minutes while I just stood there. Ill not do business with Sears in the future.

I hate to have to only give 1 star because the technician that responded was great and I realize that sometimes mistakes happen. My true issue is with Sears and their non existent customer service. 1 day after my repair was completed and paid for, my wife found that my issue still existed. We contacted Sears and we were told that we needed to wait an additional week to have someone come out to rectify the issue. This is totally unacceptable...how can you go create NEW business before you take care of the customers who have already paid for a service? No one seems to understand this in the call center, in addition Im being told that if I allow someone else to correct Sears mistakes then I am not entitled to a refund and my warranty is null and void. My first mistake was purchasing appliances from Sears(3 entire kitchen suites and 2 washer/dryer combos), my second was believing that with them being such a large company that in the event of incidences like this, there would be some empathy shown. The worst part about it is I just purchased 2 rehab homes and have been shopping for appliances for them. I can assure you that Sears has lost a very loyal customer for life after this experience.

Sears technician came to our home and diagnosed problem for $99 and had to return after part was received. Another Sears technician came and stated we needed atleast 2 parts and he thought the main control circuit board was bad and we should get a new circuit board. So we spent $234 total for 2 technicians to diagnose problem and replace 1 of 3 bad parts. Called another service provider and they confirmed we had 3 bad parts and should order a new oven. Everytime I called Sears they are focused on selling other services--HVAC checks, appliance checks, window replacement, etc. I told them they need to fix the current problem before they offer additional services.
