Excellent experience here, and I’m looking forward to returning. Clean, beautiful dental office where they practice impeccable safety protocols without removing warmth. The dental hygienist was thorough but gentle, and my dentist gave me very helpful insight about how to better preserve the health of my teeth. They didn’t push products nor recommend any unnecessary procedures. Overall a wonderful experience and I’m happy I found them.

Extremely professional. Everyone is also very courteous and friendly. The entire dental area is maintained in the utmost of sanitary conditions. Might be slightly pricey but well worth the proficient treatment you receive.I highly recommend Dental Arts San Mateo.

In addition to a thorough routine cleaning, the Dr. went over some x-rays she had reviewed prior to my arrival. They revealed a probable cause of some very mild sensitivity in a tooth that had been present for several years. There is no action needed now, but I know what do if the sensitivity gets worse. Very proactive on her part.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr Phan. I went in for a cleaning which was amazing, and My teeth and gums felt so good after. Then Dr Phan came in and did my check up. She spoke to me about some problem areas and what we should address first. I felt very comfortable and they were so informative and helpful. I went back a week later to have some filling done which were fast and painless. Again Dr Phan was extremely helpful and informative. Gave me all of my options and her thoughts on the best plan for my dental needs. also a side not, Ive been to dentist before where it felt like they were trying to pile on as many things a possible so they could make more money. Options and procedures that I didn’t necessarily but were made out to be a major priority. I didn’t get that at all from Dr Phan’s office. She was honest about procedures that should be a priority and others that were optional or could wait. 5 stars doesn’t do Dr Phan office justice. I will be going there for a very long time.

Great experience ... nice open and spacious office ... hi-tech xrays making the problems easier so learn about and visually see. I appreciated that Sheena explained the head xray checking out area beyond the teeth. Have a nice rest of July until I see you in August.

I have always hated dentist until I went here! They always remember me by name and ask about my kids. The whole staff explains things so well! I cannot think of a single negative thing to say.

Sheena is a blessing for me in regards to quality of work and follow up. The staff is friendly. Its like night and day from my previous dentist which would charge for flouride that he would give me after teeth cleaning and not tell me until i saw the bill $20.

I have been going to this dental outfit for decades, starting with Dr. Stephen Baker, then followed by another Dr. Baker. Now it is Dr. Phans and she has carried on the tradition of great service for all of your dental needs, and that goes for all her staff and hygienists.

I am so impressed with Dr Phan and her staff. The care that I received was for an emergent visit with f/u care. From the beginning the staff was empathetic and extremely helpful . Dr Phan was outstanding with her explanation of the problem and my options for treatment. I am very happy with the care that was provided.

I scheduled an appointment here around last year. An emergency came up and I could not make it, so I gave them a call about an hour before my scheduled appointment. After I was threatened with a $50 charge and I was told that cancelling is unprofessional, I decided I had to go despite the emergency that was going on, since I couldn’t afford any additional charges.Shamefully, I showed up late. The service was actually good, Dr. Pham is very detailed and she led me through every step of the process. Her assistant also did a great job. I was out of there in an hour.A few months later I received a letter from Dr. Pham’s office in the mail. I figured it was a “thank you” letter or maybe a coupon of some sort for my next service. Nope! A bill of $350. I talked on the phone with someone about it (I’m pretty sure it was Mara, based on what I heard when they picked up the phone. She wouldn’t tell me her name before the end of the phone call). They said that my insurance company only covers silver fillings. I just don’t understand why they didn’t do any research before I paid my end for the service.I do admit to saying the “F” word one time on the phone out of frustration. Mara, or whoever was on the phone, ended the call right away. I haven’t received a call back.Why should I have to pay for a mistake that someone made? If I knew that it would be this expensive, I wouldn’t have done the service and I would’ve gone somewhere more affordable. It seems like an up-sell to me. I’m a college student and I barely get by.. they need to give accurate prices (or “estimates”, as they say there) before they even perform service. They didn’t even offer any resolution, nor did they bother speaking with my insurance company.I hope no one else is going through this. I recommend that everyone makes sure they give an accurate, sure price before they perform any work.

They do not accept any exception when it comes to the late policy they have. I was late 45 mins due to a car accident on the highway. I wish that policy works both ways when they let me wait on the dentist chair for 15 mins until the dentist showed up. I paid the $50 but also canceled my appointments.

I am so pleased with the entire staff at Dr Phans office. From scheduling, to the greeting on arrival, and the services provided. Today was work on a crown. Lulu and Dr Phan worked so well together, and the entire process was painless, quick and performed by a terrific team! I am not a big fan of having dental work done, but when the service is as good as Dr Phan provides, it is much more pleasant! Five Stars well deserved!
