Mixed bag using Choice Air Care from my experience. First the good: Work was good quality at a decent price. The technicians are knowledgeable and do quality work in a reasonable time frame once they get there.For the bad: We coordinated with Choice to replace our system as it was an older system and repairing it wasnt going to be the right decision. Our install date was pushed back multiple times. One I was OK with as it was for the health of the install crew, but the other times we were notified the morning of the scheduled install date, some of them only as a result of my concerns and calling them to confirm the install would actually happen that day.The issues didnt end with scheduling though. We set up financing through them and it was supposed to be done at a 0% interest for a few months and we were going to get it paid off in that time frame. When they submitted everything to the credit card company though they ignored what we had requested and used a different promotion that started charging interest immediately.If their coordination and communication were better then this review would have a different result. I hope others didnt have this experience and mine was a result of the seasonal rush due to needing this in the height of Texas summer.

Talked to Chris on Thursday and we was very informative and professional. My house had a 25 year old ac system leaking r22 which is super expensive. As our house got to 90 degrees called to get a new system Thursday. He got us a great system at a very affordable payment and was out the next day. Both Chris and the installers were very quick clean professional and informative. Would definitely recommend them.

Scheduled a tech to look at our A/C, but when he arrived I was told that it was normal for my A/C to run non-stop for 5+ hours in the evening without even looking at my system. He spent a couple minutes explaining why it was normal and then left.I called Air Repair Pros for a second opinion. Turns out the compressor in my unit was going bad. I had them replace the compressor and our A/C works great again, nice and cold, *very* noticeable difference. My Nest history (img attached) is additional evidence that the repair was needed; you can see the daily running hours drop from 17h+ to 10h+.Im sure there are more thorough techs, and maybe my guy just had a long day before showing up, but based on my personal experience I would not recommend Choice Air Care.

Problem: Two a/c with 2 different problems. One not cooling and one dripping to the overflow. Neither issue was fix on the first trip out but did return after I called again and all the issues seem to be ok now. Said their work was guarantee and that there was no charge to resolve the issues. Very happy that they did stand behind their work.

I would not recommend this business to anyone. They came over to my place for a simple A/C maintenance and I was surprised at the charge when they leave. The A/C is still running with issues and there was no upfront discussion on what work they will be doing or how much they will be charging. i did not authorize any of the work done and they simply charge an exorbitant fee and expect you to pay it. Then asking if you want to pay by instalment or card? What the hell is wrong with these people? I hope this post is a cautionary tale to anyone who wants engage them.

We have used this place since we moved to Frisco, back in 2018. We had them out last fall to do Fall service with no problem. When we tried to book the spring service every time my wife called the phone was not answered and it rolled to voice mail and it said voice mail is full. Finally I got through and we schedule something. They were suppose to come between 8-11 and never showed up nor called. I finally got a text at 6:15 apologizing and offering to come then. I did not respond. If you were going to miss then at least call and tell me. Good thing I moved on with some other stuff that needed to get done. I was surprised and disappointed. The only think I can think is there has been a change in ownership.

Chris was very helpful initially. I purchased an outdoor HVAC unit for over $4000 with the promise that an an integral indoor part would also be replaced and that maintenance return was included. 6 months later no one will respond to my calls or emails and the part replacement and spring maintenance has still not happened. Do not do business with Choice Air Care!Another week has passed and another promise unkept! No call. No response. No honor of paid in full contract.

There was a problem during the startup to the cooling system. Chris, the owner, came out and found that the coolant in my two year old system that he installed was missing. He added some and said he would be by in a few days to check. He never returned and within two days the AC did not work again. It has been 5 days with the temperatures in the house in the 80s. I have tried to contact him via the phone # and with e-mail but he has not responded. I am moving on.

Choice Air care staff were able to get my a/c back up and running in just a few minutes. Highly recommend them.

Having to invest in a new a/c unit isn’t exactly a fun purchase, however, when you feel like the diagnosis is accurate, the price is fair and your technician is knowledgeable, honest, & not sales-y, it makes the process much easier. Also, the work was completed in less time than i was originally told......always a plus. I would definitely recommend this company!

Called late at night when our heater stopped working. They were able to come out quickly, the technician was prepared, knowledgeable, and did an excellent job. Pricing was fair and he recommended some maintenance to help keep our system working properly. I highly recommend this company!

The high Google ratings met my expectations for this company. Chris was professional and showed me his license to operate upon arrival. I received a text letting me know that the technician was on the way. They showed up in the middle of the window given. They diagnosed my issues and fixed the problems quickly. They didnt try to sell me a new system or charge me for parts I didnt need. The price was fair and honest.

Im a first time home owner and Ive been using Choice since I moved in. My ac unit was from 2003 so I knew it needed to be replaced eventually. Chip has come out and helped the last few years with maintenance. Today I got a new unit after a very informative estimate with my new options. Chip stayed until I was satisfied with the new system. Had to Call Choice Air Care on both of my AC units in the past week. Each time I called they came out the same day and provided great service. The technician Chris for me up and running and gave me multiple options for repair vs replace. He was honest and fast! I will absolutely use Choice again.

What a great experience we had with Choice Air Care. The first time we used them to replace a capacitor in one of our old units. We had such a good experience that when it was time to replace our two 18 year old Trane units we called them. Chris came out and very thoroughly went over our house and what was needed. We had two new Trane units installed later for a fair price. The installation went smooth. After the installers finished Chris came out to inspect everything and make sure we were happy. These new units are so efficient we havent had an electric bill over $200 all summer! Since then they have come out twice to make sure all is good going forward. I cant say anything bad about these guys. Nowadays its hit or miss with getting good service. This company is a hit. A big thank you to Chris and all at Choice Air Care!

Choice Air was amazing to respond in less than 24 hours on a weekend. Skooter was very knowledgeable, and didn’t seem to mind a bit that my husband and I followed him around and asked questions. He showed us what he was checking out and what it meant. We appreciated his timeliness and professionalism.

Choice Air Care answered the phone early Friday morning and came to my house out before lunch. Unfortunately, my 13-year-old compressor died beyond repair and they could only offer a pricey replacement of the full cooling system. I paid the $70 diagnosis fee and declined. Luckily, I have a second HVAC unit and was able to take some time to shop around. I got one elsewhere and saved over a thousand. I have no doubt Choice Air would have done good work, and in all my interactions with them they were courteous and professional.

They do a good job and are decently helpful. However, their communication is terrible. They don’t return calls regularly and don’t provide updates. I made an appointment for noon and no one showed up. I called about 5 PM and they said something had come up and that I was still on their list and to expect a call from the technician. However they never called nor came out. I ended up calling another company who came out immediately.

They are the best. They are very responsive and competent. They make the extra effort to provide excellent customer service.I no longer get frustrated or worried when we have AC issues because I know we are in good hands.

I dont usually write reviews online but I felt compelled to write one about my recent experience with Choice Air Care. I have owned a house in Plano for a number of years and during that time I have hired carpenters, roofers, plumbers, and other craftspeople to do work on my house, but I have never had an experience like the one I had recently with Choice Air Care.They came to my house and spent about 45 minutes, carefully evaluating and explaining the various options.In the end, I decided to replace my furnace. I was concerned about getting the job done in a timely fashion, but they guaranteed that they would return the next day and start on it immediately - and they did: the crew arrived on time, and got the job done! The men were friendly, answered all of my questions, were respectful of my house, and when the job was done, they carefully explained the new wireless thermostat, double-checked the electrical wiring, and made certain that everything worked perfectly before they left.As I said, of the many craftspeople I have hired over the past years to do work in my house, Choice Air Care was by far the most professional. The team at Choice Air Care originally came out to simply install a new system. They were prompt and showed up during very unconventional hours. I called on a Saturday afternoon and they sent me someone Saturday night - no extra charge! Ken came and took care of me. Why quickly, really knew his stuff, was polite and let me freezing lol. My A/C unit went out on Saturday and I was thinking there is no way that I am going to have it fixed anytime soon. I made a call to Choice Air Care. They provided me with superior service (no pressure), reasonable pricing and unbelievable responsiveness. They came out that night, were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. If there were more stars I could give, I’d give them all. Plain and simple — if you call anyone other than Choice Air for your AC, you are a fool.These people are a rare breed. They will treat you and your system the way they would treat their own and will absolutely *not* try to talk you into anything that’s not needed. By that same token, they will give it to you straight. If your AV will last, they’ll do what you want them to to get as much time out of it as possible.My AC works right now, but it’s already well-past its prime. When it finally does give out, there will be no other company touching my AC other than Choice Air.

Our air went out in the late afternoon and Chip was at our house at 10:00 to assess the situation. They had a new system installed the next day. They were professional and knowledgeable and the new system works so much better than the old one. Plus, we got several quotes and their price was more than fair. Cant recommend highly enough.

They came by and checked it explained what was wrong, instead of trying to get me to buy a brand new unit was given an estimate of what it would cost to fix. My elderly Mom had Air Conditioning issues late in the evening on a Sunday night. I called and the owner came out and worked on the unit and got it back working within 30 minutes at a reasonable cost. I will use them every time I have any future issues with my cooling systems. They were prompt and nice to deal with. I know she has a very old unit, but he did not try to sell me a new one and simply repaired the old one. Very professional and knowledgeable technician, arrived at expected time and provided a quick diagnosis. We are doing some price checks with my husbands company before we commit to repairs, he was very understanding of that and didnt charge us for the diagnosis.

Experienced a weekend HVAC mishap when freon line was cut late Saturday afternoon and had AC back in less than 24 hours. Required soldering line, replacing a filter, and reloading 16 lbs of freon. Called Choice Air Care about 8 pm Wednesday night, Chris was here within 35 minutes and unit fixed within about 30 mins. Lady spoke with when called was wonderful. Had our unit replaced in 2016, have had choice come out a few times for small calls. Skooter just left after finding a loose wire in the thermostat. He arrived well before the expected window of 4:00 to 7:00. Ran through some trouble shooting promptly found the problem and took care of us. Choice continues to exceed customer service expectations and will always be the ones that we call for service.

Called on a Sunday and Chris came out the next day. Hes very knowledgeable and got my furnace back up and running fast and at a great price. Im a stickler for finding/using quality people to work on anything in my house....if you are the same, Chris is your guy.

After 3 visits by the HVAC company contracted through our home warranty, they said they identified that we needed one covered item (worth $650) and then added 5-6 additional items not covered under warranty. In all we would have owed close to 1k out of pocket. Chip, with Choice Air Care came out, identified the issue(s) immediately which were entirely unrelated to the what we had been told by the first Company, and fixed them all on the spot. he saved us $900+ had we gone with the original company. Awesome, honest service and cant recommend Chip highly enough.

We are very pleased with the inspection, provided by Chris Miller, of a fowl smell coming out of the furnace that supplies heat to the down stairs living area. The furnace was 28 years old and was more than ready to be replaced. We decided to purchase a heater and air conditioning unit. Johns crew was very professional, curtious, clean and amazenly installed both units in 2 1/2 hours. I highly recommend Choice Air Care. I found them in the Good Contractors List .

UPDATED REVIEW: Choice Air eventually came through with a small refund check to try to make things right for all that I went through (see my original review); however the check amount was less in value than the 10% coupon that they should have applied to my bill in the first place....plus it didnt offset any of the coolant charges. It was a gesture that they didnt have to do, so I bumped up by rating from 2 stars up to 3 stars.ORIGINAL REVIEW: As a consumer, I feel somewhat screwed over and taken advantage of because I was in need for my home to cool down due to one of my AC Evaporator Coils failing during a hot Texas day last Friday. Just to highlight a couple of things, our Service Tech 1) proceeded with options without being forthcoming about services that have substantial cost, kept talking about fees but he couldnt really explain what they were, at one point he asked if I want to gamble on an unknown that would happen the following day (which would affect how much I was going to be charged, which he didnt hold up to in the end), and also he refused to honor 2 coupons that is on Choice Airs website that were directly applicable to the invoice I received and services rendered.The big problems I experienced:1) The evaporator coil in my upstairs AC unit broke and was leaking out a ton of coolant late on a Fri and we couldnt get a new AC coil until Mon; so I texted the Tech on Sat asking if there is anything that can be done to temporarily provide the upstairs some relief so that the kids could sleep in their rooms; until he could check our manufacturers warranty status and pick up a new Evaporator on Monday. The Tech came by Sat evening and said he added 4 lbs of coolant WITHOUT mentioning anything ahead of time that the coolant is massively expensive to consumers ($65/lb); which ended up being $260 that I didnt plan on seeing.  Given that I had a huge leak, that coolant sprayed out of our system within a matter of 6-8 hours. The Tech should have been clear and up front with me about cost to give me an option in our given the situation; no way would I ever agree to spend $260 for what I see as temporary relief on 1 floor of my 2-story home for a couple days.2) There is a line for $75 on my bill called Warranty Repair / Service Call. Choice Air has a coupon on their website that says Free Service Call with AC Repair. When I asked for this to be applied, the Service Tech declined and said what is listed on the invoice is not what it really is. Instead it is some sort of warranty fee associated with the part, but he couldnt explain anything beyond what that meant. As a consumer, things should be clear as to what I am shelling out money for.3) There is a coupon on their website that says: Special Offer: 10% off ANY Replacement AC System.  Well I had this Choice Air Care replace a key part of my AC system, so it should apply right?  The Tech also declined accepting this coupon because he says this coupon only applies to parts...not labor or other costs; however there is no disclaimer stated anywhere on the coupon!  The Tech also said that the coupon is only for full AC system replacement; but again, the coupon does not state that. I replaced a key component of my AC system and the coupon clearly says ANY.  This coupon would have lowered my bill >$100.Businesses like this should be built oh transparency, honesty, and trust with customers; especially to ensure future repeat business and result in positive word of mouth. I wrote this to be brutally honest about my recent experience as most positive reviews on here are from people that feel lucky to have quick relief from the heat after having their AC go out them during Texas heat. Choice Air does provide rapid response any time of the day or night, but I encourage consumers to ask questions upfront about costs and hidden fees. Also, I encourage Choice Air to be more transparent to your customers about costs prior to rendering ANY services and be less vague on your coupons; if you are not going to honor them as-is then dont offer them.

I called Choice Air this past week because my heater quit working and it was showing 54 degrees inside. I spoke with Chris to tell him what it was doing and he came out same day. He had it back up and running less than 15 minutes after arrival. I will definitely use them in the future and really appreciate the service.

My air conditioning went out today and a friend referred me to Choice Air Care in McKinney. I have to say they were awesome! Great service and the prices were extremly reasonable for what I had done...I definitely would recommend them and will use them again anytime I need work

We had the misfortune of finding out our entire system needed to be replaced. Unfortunately the previous owners of our house didnt do the routine maintenance and the system was shot; A/C, furnaces, coils, everything - 3 systems total. We called 2 other companies for bids, and after speaking with Chip; we knew our choice was clear. He didnt push the high-end systems on the market, recommended what made the most sense for our home, and didnt try to take us to the cleaners. They came in $9,000 less expensive to our next highest bid, were out the next day and had the entire job done in a day. I cant say enough good things about these guys. Do yourself a favor and call them first. Dont waste your time with the other guys!

Choice Air care replaced one of our HVAC systems. It was not expecting to replace after my AC stopped working. Chip promptly came in and inspected the system. Cool, calm and collected, Choice Air Care is a group of professionals that really has their act together. They solved a problem with our heater that another HVAC company couldnt fix that was holding up the sale of our home. We were on a tight timeline and under pressure, but they squeezed us in and fixed our heater at a very fair price. Chris also told us they have a $99 combo deal for HVAC Spring and Fall servicing; were definitely going to take them up on that. I highly recommend Choice Air Care!

Choice Air saved the Day! I noticed my air conditioning not cooling properly and reluctantly began looking for a company to service my unit. I was worried it would cost a fortune. Called Choice Air on a Saturday and they came out on a Sunday. Chris was very professional and diagnosed the problem easily and gave me a couple of options to get it back up and running at a very fair price. Chris was able to come out the same day to look at our gas furnace. Laid out all of my options before he did any work and didnt feel pressured into any repairs. Very professional! Highly recommend!

Editing my last review since i cant write more than one.John and his team came out on 6/28/2018 and were extremely professional and courteous. They installed a brand new AC unit and Furnace in about 2 hours. The response time was quick. John was very kind and even offered to help hang up a sign outside after the job was finished. As long as i live in Frisco, ill continue to use Choice Air Care for my HVAC needs.

Chip is absolutely the best! 2 years ago I had 2 different companies try and scam me into replacing both units on my house for over $15k. That was after already giving them several thousand. I finally got too suspicious of the multiple call backs and decided to give Choice Air Care (Chip) a call. Still skeptical I watched as Chip showed me where the previous company had sabotaged my units. Within an hour Chip had my units up and running for a minor fraction of what I had already paid the previous company. Chip is the real deal! He actually cares to fix the problem and not to try to take you to the cleaners with unnesseary repairs. I will never let another person ever touch or look at my ac again. Since meeting him I have referred him so many close friends and family. Each of them praise him as well. I recently finally had to replace one of my 14 year old units 2 years after the previous company said they where no longer functional. My other unit is still working fine. Heres one final testament to the character of Chip. Its 10:30pm and he just stopped by to do a courtesy check on my systems!! Both are functioning great! Who does that?? To this day ImNot sure what I did to be blessed with such a great person! Chip you deserve the best in life and you will always have my business and referrals. Thank you Sir!

I am blown away with the service I received. Monday evening at 10:30pm, my HVAC stopped working. I was in a panic, temps are above 100 and I have 5 dogs in the house who were getting warm. I started searching, and decided to go with Choice Air Care as they are a local company and website said they do after hour service. Not only did they fit me in, even though the service tech had 2 other jobs still to get done that night - but they do not charge an additional after hours fee. Their moto is if you can fix it, do that - do not replace unit if not necessary. So honest and fair with pricing (Competitive with market). Thank you so much!! I am switching my bi-annual service to them as well.

I was in desperate need of help! Saturday night, no air! Didnt know who to call. So what do you do? Google! I found them and read the reviews. Awesome reviews and associated with BBB!Theyre open 24 hours and flat fee for coming out. Weekends, middle of the night, you name it! Sound too good to be true? Thats what I thought. Called and someone answered right away. The woman took my info and said some one would be by in the next couple hours, but would call 30 minutes before arrival. Our A/C unit decided to start working and since it was going to be late called to reschedule. Chris was extremely nice about rescheduling (because I knew it was going to happen again). Fast forward to today, Tuesday. Chip came between the time frame given and called ahead as promised. He did his diag and low and behold we needed a whole new unit. Not surprised as this one was 14 years plus! Chip worked to get the price manageable for me and it was a go! Got his crew together and arrived with not only 1 but 4 men to install!!!! Needless to say a job that I figured would go well into the night went a lot quicker. It seemed everyone had their job to do and it went like a well oiled machine! Oh, did I mention friendly?! Yes, all 4, including Chip were super nice and professional! But it doesnt stop there! Skooter is the man that comes after work is completed to check and make sure its done correctly. Tested both inside and out. Informed us how to maintain. Super friendly as well!House is cool and now everyone in my home is happy!!Thank you all at Choice Air for being both professional, helpful and friendly! Nice change for these days! And, yes, it comes with warranty! Heres to cooler days in Texas!!

Sit down because this story is crazy. I called a competitor of Chips after both my A/C units stopped working due to a lightning strike. The other guys came out that day, gave us a song and dance about how one of the units fans had reversed polarization, Im not familiar with the correct jargon, and the fan needed replacing and also that we needed to replace the entire system on the second unit and that he checked that our unit was not under warranty. We were quoted $4323.00. We held off on any repairs until we talked to our insurance company. Fast forward to the next morning. After sleeping on it, we decided to get a second opinion. We called Choice Air Care and they came that afternoon. Chip was courteous and professional from the absolute moment he stepped foot on property. He took one look at the unit with the reverse fan and noticed right away that two wires had been crossed. Chip corrected the wires and fixed the unit. Literally in five seconds. No fan needed replacing. He mentioned the reverse polarization appeared suspicious since even a novice technician would have caught the wire switch. I asked if he thought the other technician may have done it on purpose. Chip didnt want to blame, but he did say that it was possible. Chip then checked the compressor on the other unit, confirming that it did need replacing. He asked if it was under warranty and I said that the competitor from the day before claimed it wasnt. Chip decided to call Carrier himself personally to corroborate the other repairmans story. Lo and behold, he told us that since we were the original homeowners that our compressor was INDEED covered under warranty. By the end, he quoted us a reasonable estimate for labor and repairs, not even charging us to fix the first unit because he said he thought it was a bad deal on the other guys part. Chip will be by in the morning to replace the compressor. If you are looking for an honest heating and air company, these are the guys you choose. I cannot believe how honest Chip was and we gained a little bit of faith back in humanity. Thank you so much, Chip!

Cant even begin to tell you how greatful I am for these guys coming out on such short notice. I called and they gave me a time for next day (but offered to come that night at 7pm). Chris shows up 10 minutes early and finds and fixes the problem in less than 30 minutes so that I can be on with my day. I recently used Choice Air because my A/C units compressor went out and the Evaporator was rusted out. Chris came out to my place to see the issue and reviewed all options with me to fit my needs. There was no pressure from a sales perspective and complete honesty in everything he presented. After we agreed on the terms of replacement, the install was done and my house was cool again. I will surely use Choice Air going forward for my maintenance as well.
