Horrible place to send your loved one to. Wait time for assistance typically averages half hour or more. No one to answer calls after hours since there is only one aide working each floor. Aide supervisor Olaf is always on vacation. Meals (particularly dinners) are slop. There is high staff turnover as well.

I am a vendor working with the team at Fresno. They are an amazing, caring group of people and consistently taking great care of their residents and team members. This is definitely a community where I would want my parents to live and a place I would consider for myself some day. Heres to a great group of people! #Kindess! #Hard work! Keep it up!

If I could give zero stars I would, 1 star is too high of a rating for this horrible facility. The negligence my Grandfather has had to endure is both frustrating and sickening. The management is the worst I’ve experienced. If you have a loved one that needs care.. DO NOT send them here!

BEWARE!!!!! Extremely unprofessional and negligent toward your loved ones. They lock individuals in their room with no supervision resulting in injuries that are 100% preventable and refuse to take responsibility.

Horrible place to place your loved ones in and to work for. New Managment arrived and they are not passionate. Pamela Hamilton has no backbone. She talks about the residents, families and employees behind doors. Veronica is a manipulative liar. Families refuse to speak to her because she doesnt care to listen and solve your problems. Jessica is a terrible Lifestyle Director. She does not get many attendance in her activities because residents dont care for her. All management there are fake. Ask residents and current employees about this post and they will agree 100%. They are hiring friends and families. So favoritism is at its finest! Watch out for bus driver Noah, he may still be caring a gun!

Westmont of Fresno what a joke.Executive Director Pamela doesnt know what shes doing. Her and the other managers there have been fired many times. How is that place still running? Residents are continuing to move out of that terrible place and many employees are leaving because of managment. All they want is your money. Skip this place and look somewhere else! This place offers horrific food, short staffing, loved ones waiting an hour or more for help and they will forget about your showers! If your looking for a red flag then this is it! Stay away from this place!

Not happy with the new Activity Director in memory care where my grandmother is at. You can tell she is there for the money and has no heart for the patients here. Every time i come by i always catch her in her office talking pictures of herself or on her phone. Luckily i had the chance to meet the old Activity Director Crystal and she was heaven sent. She always went out of her way to make all the patients happy and was creative and fun. This new girl needs to go. All of us family members talk to other patients families and we all agree that this new girl needs to go. Memory care has lost sight of what it should be. Seems like a daycare now because the new girl has people covering activities for her. Noone is doing there job. Dont come to this terrible place! This company only wants your money!

Worse assisted living and memory care ever. Residents in memory care are being ignored . New activity director came in never does her job. Always in her office on the phone. Neglecting all residents by not stimulating them with any activities. There are times where I will come in to visit a family member and there is no-one in the activity room also known as Town Square. I find that residents are in there rooms and/or sitting in the living rooms doing nothing. Memory Care was well taken care of when the old activity director was here. She was experienced and compassionate. This new one here does nothing for them.

I believe Cottonwood Court is a great place to live and work at since the ownership has changed over to Westmont Living. I have personally known and met many people that lived and worked there who have a very good opinion about that place.

Im not sure how thats community would have received a negative review. My precious grandma lived in this community for about three years. She started in the assisted-living side and when she required more care we were lovingly made aware of documentation of new behaviors indicating that she was in need of more care. This allowed us as a family to make the decision to move her to the memory care side. The staff, even with changes, continued to show loving care, support, and sincere personal interest. Many staff members mourned with me when she passed away. My family and I have nothing to say but good regarding Cottonwood Court, its community, and the company standard that they are held to.

There is a level of expectation that exists when you are taking your loved one into a facility such as this. If you want your loved one disregarded as yesterdays newspaper then this is your place. Un dignified, unprofessional. In the beginning when you are looking at their facility they are very cordial. Once you sign in is when the lies start. They are only there for the money and believe me you will pay. Dearly and so will your loved one. Keep looking .............

My Aunt suffers from dementia and her move was difficult, not only for her but for our whole family. we thought we were prepared for what is to come. We frequently toured the memory care unit. With many changes of new ownership we were a bit nervous. Of course with change there are hurdles to leap but we were reassured many times that there were terrific changes happening. We have seen the staff improve with an aura and promptness to skills and compassion. My Aunties change was rough but the patience, love, compassion and skills from management to line staff were wonderful. The nursing staff take their time to explain and offer a listening ear. The saying goes attitudes are a dominoe effect well the new management team have a talent to spread to all staff which makes a better home for Auntie. They are more intuitive more compassion and seemed more skilled in handling tough situations then last year. Lead by example has shown. If we were ever worried about Auntie the nurse always took the time to speak to us and ensure us the process. The Lead Nurse not only took time at late hours to explain to our family the dementia process but took time to listen to Auntie and cried with her as she explained how scared she was in her times of alertness. This is a passion that is being shared with all caregivers and it is showing. Which puts us at ease to know she has trained staff to care for her. We recently visited and they had a water slide event. Many residents watched from afar as a few joined. Their laughs and smiles brought joy to so many to feel young again. Thank you Activity staff and thank you Nursing Team and caregivers for showing Auntie and the other resident love in the last years they have left. My heart is confident in your care.

Westmont of Fresno is having new employees write reviews to make themselves look good. Check out Yelp. Poor company, Poor Managment. Ask other facilities about this place and they will agree. Old Managment was amazing. New Managment came and broke up everything.

The management is awful Polly is fake and talks awful about present and future family’s. Annette is Polly’s puppet she doesn’t know what she is doing. Steve treats his staff like dirt and his food is second class. Andrew has no people skill and has a short fuse. All other management left because of them. They say,” staff can be replace and are useless.” As a employee my residents tell me that they are tired of the changes and firing because there’s new staff all the time. Westmont is the new management so theres going to be firing and new westmont staff coming in. There’s going to be a increase of rent and new construction. In the building. They will not tell you this at first because they want to get your move in check. Also beware of the front desk they use them too notify us that there’s a tour coming by announcing it in our walkie so we can put some residents in their room or to force us to talk positive about this place. So skip the front desk and come in to see the true service they have in memory care and assisting living . Tell Polly you would like to tour it by yourself and she will not let you. Talk to the residents and ask about the above information and they will agree and other managers will try to stop you because they don’t want people touring individually because they want that move in check and to fill their buildings. Beware don’t bring your love one here. Ask questions and talk to residents that voice their concern.

Cottonwood Court gets one star because that is the lowest possible option. I will give no identifying information as no one in particular needs to be called out. I have a family member who was formerly at Cottonwood Court in both of their buildings. The actual floor staff there is friendly and seem to be very hardworking but as you go up the chain of command there are serious deficiencies. Most of the directors have worked there for a lengthy period of time and are proud to share that with everyone. I believe in a strong leadership environment but friendships seem to blind the company leadership. The employee turnover rate seems very high (which is common in the healthcare industry). It seems as though the staff changes from month to month. The appearance of the buildings is seemingly nice until you look closely. The dining rooms are dirty, the carpets throughout are stained or soiled, apartment cleanliness leaves something to be desired and I have even witnessed team members closing doors of residents apartments when a tour or walkthrough by upper management is taking place. Paint is chipping, wallpaper is coming unglued from the walls, there are holes or gashes in walls, and the whole place could use a dusting.Dont let the activities calendars fool you either. Looking at their calendar and newsletter you would think the programming is thorough and engaging but spend some time in the activities with your loved one throughout the day and you will see that they are not all they are cracked up to be.The food is second class at best. They promote an extensive menu but again, look closely and you will see a lot of repeat dishes and a lack of any real nutrition. Compare their 6-week menu cycle and it is more similar than they lead you to believe. If the above isnt bad enough, that was just describing their assisted living building. Their memory care is even below these standards. If you happen to be looking for memory care, ask to see multiple hallways in the building and you will notice that they promote the best looking hall at the time but most of them are not great. The entry to the building (Town Square I believe) is loud, the activities are chaotic and most everyone is asleep. The second class food prepared in the assisted living is even worse when it arrives in memory care. Dining rooms are messy, residents have food on their clothes, half are asleep and it is just not a pleasant dining experience.Directors attempt to address concerns but you cannot hide a fake persona.I never heard a floor staff member speak poorly of their management but you can tell by their demeanor and interactions that most are not happy. When touring their community they might let you interact with residents or their families but they are very selective of who you interact with. There are a few positives however. Most of the staff members seem to have a very caring heart and the place is nicer than slum communities. I attended a few of the larger events and they were also nice.I really wanted to like Cottonwood but when it comes to the care of my loved one during their last years, months or days, this place just doesnt cut it.Definitely check it out for yourself but keep in mind the notes I have provided here.
