I just want to thank the apartment office for the great customer service theyve shown. Thank you.Cascade was definitely a place to call home. The area was beautiful. The only reasons it is at 3 star was the fact that the photos we saw online did not match the room they moved us to. They notified us a week before we moved in from another state, letting us know that the room we booked is not available anymore because the old tenants had covid. The unit we stayed at did not match the unit they are advertising for their photos. That was a let down.Another issue was that the garage leading to our unit kept opening on its own. We came back at 2am and the garage door was wide open. We put in 3 or 4 work orders and still had the problem. The problem took 5months to fix. Lucky no one robbed us. Then our AC kept leaking 2months in after moving. It took them 3 times to fix it!One thing that I dont understand is that they charged us $60 for them to do a paint job??!?! We dont smoke and we never did anything to the walls!! But Cascade was still a nice place to stay at. I just wished we had the unit which photos they are using on their site.
What an experience it has been so far! We have been looking for a few weeks and Cascades met all the criteria we wanted. Yesterday we walked into the leasing office and were met with the most beautiful warmth and smiles. From the beginning we were made to feel like we were already home. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is top-notch. Special recognition to leasing specialist Audrey. What a rock star! She communicates the entire time, she even said she would check her emails after hours to help us if needed. We are so excited to move in and become a part of this beautiful community. You will not meet anyone better than Audrey! Look no further than Cascades.
I AM SHOOK! This property has everything I could ever want!!! The clubhouse is one of my fave places to go to, they have a GIGANTIC pool! We stan a property with awesome amenities.
This is a review for the tour experience. I was driving through the neighborhood and saw the leasing office sign and wanted some information on the apartments here. I showed up in the middle of their lunch hour and Brock still bothered to open the door to help us schedule a tour on their break. When we came back for the tour, Audrey met with us and helped us find what we needed. She was very welcoming and knowledgeable. She gave us a fantastic tour and helped us picture what our new home would be like. She never pressured us into signing and made us feel very safe by social distancing and having brochures and informational sheets ready 6 feet away from her desk. The apartment felt very homey and we are excited to sign a new apartment lease.
Audrey and Bryce in the office are awesome and always there to help! In addition to the beautiful property they really made the application process and move in both easy AND exciting! Love living here at Cascades!
Had a good experience with the initial tour but got the run around for application process. They claimed they were having computer updates and cannot send out the application to us until the next morning. We waited all morning and they never sent the application. We had to call twice and at the second time Bryce finally sent the application. He then called back 30 minutes later informing us that the unit we were applying for was just taken. If he had sent the application to us first thing in the morning like he promised, we would have gotten it completed and submitted. Poor service!
Friendly staff! I cannot believe how amazing the property is!! I am so happy that I signed a lease here. Although there are some things that are not open (Because of COVID), I am so excited to utilize the gym when it comes open. This is definitely a place I can see myself living at for quite a long time.Thank you Cascades for making my stay here so wonderful!
Had a wonderful experience touring and signing a lease for 2020 at Cascades. COVID really threw a wrench in my life to the point that the cost of my previous living situation was no longer compatible with other necessary expenses (food, child care, board games) — but the staff at Cascades made finding and moving into a new apartment easy. While a lower price than my previous housing, my expectations for the units were exceeded.
I cannot believe everything that this place has to offer. This place has exceeded my expectations beyond belief. I had totally forgot that I was in Fresno for awhile when I was looking at the property. I swear that this place is like the Disneyland of apartment complexes!
Lived there from 2018-2019. Never received my deposit back even after I’ve called, left voicemails and emails. Management was nice and living was nice. Still to not here anything back.
Really beautiful complex and the people working are super friendly and helpful with any questions or problems! Love it!
Cons: The management and maintenance is really bad, I havent had access to the gym since move in, the dumpsters are over flowing, pool is turning green, online portal is terrible. I have been charged the wrong rent by $300 extra for two months in a row now. Pros: The neighbors are all cool and quiet. BTW: Lots of the 5 star reviews are from staff.
I dont live here, but I toured the place. I was in contact with Alyssa and she was super professional and helpful.I didnt meet the requirements for renting but Ive been told that my deposit money is on my way via mail.I loved the neighborhood and the interiors of the apartment. I guess it is a great place to live!
Yas!!!! This place has granite counters and a FIREPLACE! It literally feels like a house!
If you move here and plan to live here in the spring and summer months. Do not get a 2nd floor apartment above a garage.Your electric bill will be over $350.00 - $600 plus! a month for a 800 sqft apartment and you will be lucky if the place gets cooler then 80 degrees when its high 90s and above. If Im paying over $1400 a month for rent I should be able to walk in to my place and be cool. Management has not been helpful they say the a/c is working fine and that it has to do with the location of my unit. Yet I still pay the same rent as anyone else. Ridiculous. I even asked if we could work out a deal with a lower unit since they say those are cooler. they never got back with me on doing anything for me.Update to owners response. This post was posted while I still at the complex. You took several weeks to respond to me at that time before any offers were given. I gave the apartment complex a chance to make it right. No one wanted to provide me with a reasonable option. You offered to pay a tiny portion of one of many ridiculously high electrical bills or move me into a two-bedroom downstairs unit and having to pay another deposit which would have been roughly 1400 dollars since I had two pets. I told you I was not happy with either of those offers and that I would rather break the lease than stay in the apartment. You offered no other options for me.
**Photos of roaches in unit were removed, presumably by management, go to Yelp for review with photos**I lived in the Cascades apartments for a little over a year. When I first moved in, I read the negative reviews and thought I wouldn’t have anything to worry about because I didn’t anticipate ever really needing much from management. I was wrong. My problems spanned from roaches to being told my lease renewal was actually invalid because my unit had already been leased to a new tenant before I even received the offer from management to renew my lease. These issues are independently stressful and unacceptable to deal with. But they’re made so much worse when the person you’re communicating with to resolve the issues is unnecessarily hostile, combative, rude and averse to all accountability.I noticed my first red flag when my friend who referred me and one other person to the property attempted to confirm her discounted rent that she earned as part of a promotion the complex was running for referrals. The leasing agent we spoke with was prepared to apply the promotion for both referrals until the head manager, Missi, stepped out of her office, without even acknowledging my friend and I, to tell the agent we were working with to only apply the promotion for one referral. I asked where it was indicated that there was a limit on referrals and Missi continued to ignore me as she shut her office door. The leasing agent kindly stated that it was a new policy starting that day. This was total bs. But we chose not to argue.A few months into my lease, I began noticing dead and dying roaches around my apartment. The management team was mostly responsive, with the exception of the head property manager, Missi. Missi first attempted to blame me before informing me the roaches were “a Fresno issue,” and telling me I should be happy they are dead/dying and not running all around my unit. I could not believe the lack of accountability and aggressive attempt to make the property’s issue my issue. My battle with management and the roaches went on for months.I intended to type up a long review detailing every issue I had with the property management team for this complex. But it brought back far too much stress that I’m happy to be leaving behind. If you’re planning to sign a lease with Cascades, DON’T DO IT. Sure, the units are nicely renovated and the complex is quiet. But none of it is worth living with roaches and having to deal with a hostile, rude, and unprofessional property manager. You can simply read the passive aggressive and unprofessional responses to comments from other residents if you’d like to get an idea of the tone of Cascades’ property manager. If you’d like to know more, please feel free to reach out to me.
I want to thank Brittany for supporting and helping me through the entire process from filling out my application and moving in. I came to work in Fresno, and its the first time that I rent a property in the United States so Brittany was my best ally to accompany me in everything I needed. I really like to live here, the area is and feel very safe, and quiet. I am close to Woodward Park (5 mins in my bike), the facilities and my apartment its very nice. I highly recommend Cascades because of their efficient staff, and because they always receive your visit with a smile and a positive attitude to solve your doubts and questions. Thank you Brit!
Such a great place! The whole complex is very quiet and well-maintained, plus our apartment is spacious and bright. Tennis, swimming, basketball, a big stretch of grass to run around on, not to mention a fancy new clubhouse on the way -- its pretty darn nice here. Also, the best shopping in Fresno is just two and a half miles away. Tough to beat. Our leasing agent, Alyssa, was terrific and made the move-in process a breeze for us. Its all good in this hood!
Very bad management and staff, they don’t welcome you very well. They will tell you everything going to be fine until you pay the application fee and the other 250$ for the club and the other stuff. When they get the money, then they will say sorry you are not approved.
Many overcharges on their autopay system by as much as hundreds upon hundreds of dollars. If I hadnt had noticed wouldnt have been rectified. They dont refund the overcharge they just credit the acct. Not an issue for me but for those living paycheck to paycheck not refunding $600 something bucks would mess up a checking account. Still waiting on utility cards statements to cross reference charges. Requested them awhile ago.
Cascade has been such an amazing experience for us over the last month. From the point of driving on to Saybrook it’s been a five star rating.Missi gave us a tour of an apartment without an appointment and explained the property’s offerings and what we should expect.Brittany has been very thorough with the rental agreements and check-in. She has been patiently wonderful in answering all our questions and assisting with the online portal for rent payments.Maintenance and landscaping is exceptional in maintaining the facilities and grounds in top condition. The on-site security is reassuring and observant of actions and activities.Totally satisfied with our decision to choose Cascades.
The staff is so friendly and with you every step of the way. I just moved from so cal, and the staff members made everything so easy for me. Maintenance gets taken care of in a timely manner. The gym and pools are great. I enjoy living here so far.
The staff is so sweet and I actually love them ! Everytime I walk in there I’m welcomed and always feeling comfortable. The bad comments on here honestly are just some haters that want to try and put these apartments down, but you have to come see for yourself. I recently moved into the two bedroom 1 1/2 bath and it’s so beautiful! The high ceilings and the kitchen are very open and my son loves it! Super blessed living here and always have compliments on my place! Thank you cascades for a amazing experience and beautiful apartment 🙏🏼 Highly recommend!
Cascades Apartments is a great place to live! The rental process has been made so easy and pleasant, thanks to the whole team, especially Brittany. Shell always welcome you with a smile, and come running if any help is needed. She sure had a great role in my decision to move here.
Nice apartments but terrible management. If you plan to live here be prepared to deal with crooks.
This place is beautiful and homey! I love all the dog parks and grassy areas. The outlying neighborhood is perfect for walking and jogging. It is close to a huge selection of restaurants and shopping. All of the residents and their pets have been friendly. The management is wonderful and accommodating. I especially love Brittany :) Whenever I call in for a maintenance request, it is taken care of within 24 hours. I am so grateful that I am able to live here!
It’s been great living here! It’s close to Woodward Park which we love going to for walks. Lots of shopping and good food nearby. It feels safe and security staff ensures it too. I love that there are services like a spa, dental care, childcare nearby (blocks away). Management is prompt. Whenever we needed maintenance, staff came by within 24 hrs. The grounds are kept beautifully. The only criticism is I wish neighbors would pick up their dog poop.
I have lived at the Cascades for nearly 14 years. Missi and her staff are excellent. Whenever I call or drop by the office I always get a friendly smile and kind words; they make me feel that I am welcome. The maintenance staff is wonderful also, and the work is always done quickly and correctly. They leave the apartment as when they walked in. The grounds are beautiful with the lush grass and trees. I have been blessed with wonderful neighbors and we all watch out for each other. I highly suggest this property; you should check it out on your search for your next home.
Dont rent from them!! This is managed by a terrible company. They will keep your security deposit even when you take great care of the apartment. They will hold you responsible for things happened before you moved in. If you try to contact their management, they will ignore you and not respond at all. You better stay away from them!!!
The location is great. Close to the 41 south, Riverpark, Woodward Park, etc., and I like that it isnt gated. They also have three pools that are always clean, a little park for dogs and kids to play at, and maintenance has always been great with fixing things when they needed fixing. The staff has always been pleasant when Ive gone in to ask them questions. There are lots of other apartments in this area, but I wasnt able to find one that beat this place on price, amenities, and location.
I had two weeks to find an apartment from across the country and the office staff went above and beyond in helping me! They sent me videos of the apartments available talked to me several times a day until I made a decision and then were just wonderful when I got here. They made the transition really easy and helped me make the decision to move to Crown Point.
This space is beautiful. The landscaping is very well maintained as are the buildings and outdoor exercise areas. It is quiet and safe as well. The office staff is accommodating and helpful, especially Brittany. Overall I am happy with this living choice.
Cascades has the perfect location for all mine and my family’s needs! Their staff goes above and beyond to make me feel welcome, not to mention how friendly the maintenance staff is! I would definitely recommend Cascades to all my friends!
Great customer service. Nice landscaping area for the family to enjoy. Great apartment buildings Love it
I lived in this in complex from 11/9/17 to 11/9/18. It so happened they transferred ownership at the same time I moved in. I lost the use of a lot of amenities that were supposed to be included in my rent. I just kept being told how worth it would be when they were done. Well in the entire year I was there nothing but the painting of the outside got done. I had a lot of parking issues and enforcement was not taken seriously by on-site management. For the amount of rent being charged, which went up significantly when my lease was up, I highly recommend you go down the way to one of the other single level complexes that are the same price. I have now been forced to file a small claims law suit because they have not returned what is owed of my security deposit. They sent me the itemized break down of what they deducted but never sent me back the money owed to me. No one from the corporate office will return my calls or emails. Ridiculous for such a huge real estate holding corporation to make me file a small claims suit, but that should give you an idea of the type of ownership and management you would be dealing with. The on site management just told me sorry, they cannot help or reach out to anyone at their corporate office.
I called the office this morning to talk about potential changes to my lease agreement. Brittany answered the phone right away and pulled up my lease to get me the most accurate information. She took the time to listen to me and answered all of my questions, I had several! She even took a moment at the end to ask me how I was doing and recalled a conversation we had from when I signed my lease with her. I loved the personal touch. Thank you for your excellent customer service!
All of my wifes jewelry was stolen here the day after maintenance came for an issue. The theft appeared to be from someone who had a key to the apartment.
Multiple year resident. Very expensive. Everyone is amazed when I tell them my rent. In addition if you are not careful they charge wrong amounts of rent. No loyalty benefit. Rent for existing tenants is not much different from newcomers. Unlike city wide recycle bins only regular trash bins. The only option for recycling is if you bring everything to the building office. Parking and putting car in garage is hassle as everyone parks on street wrongly but the management lets them. For 1m month the outside of my building (entire block) went dark but no one cared (including the night patrol). I have lost 2 bicycles from the area - first one stolen from garage. second a trek bike was safely secured behind my car by wire lock and it was stolen but breaking the lock. feel unsafe since. Not sure if I would come again if I had to do all over again. Not easy to reach them.. No email listed on the website.
Brittany Thank you so much for taking your time and explaining to me all about requirements, steps, etc. People! I highly recomend Crown Point as your New home. Very Professional! Well maintained. Great Experience! :D
I moved in a couple of weeks ago and so far the staff has been super friendly and helpful. The apartment and the complex are very beautiful.
After looking through these reviews, I am seeing a lot of them are from previous and current staff. This is a reflection of how this complex does business. They are not ashamed of screwing their tenants over, nor handling situations professionally. My husband and I lived here for 2.5 years and although the grounds are beautiful, we were strongly disappointed in new ownership. Due to all the current upgrades, we constantly had maintenance interrupting our privacy and entering our home. We were overcharged for utilities every single month, as they run the sprinklers while it rains and floods the parking lot. We were charged for pest control monthly but had set off our own bug bombs ourselves. We were charged monthly for a community center fee, although the community center has been out of service for 6+ months. After rent increasing drastically (including the unnecessary fees), we decided it was no longer logical to rent a small apartment for what they were charging. We had heard horror stories of our neighbors moving out but didnt want to believe it. After putting our notice in, we were less than pleased with the move out process. Not only did they not give us our deposit back but charged us a large amount of money for issues that were normal wear and tear. (Do not hang anything, as they will charge you per hole apparently). We have tried contacting management (every day since May) in discussing these ridiculous charges but they have not had the decency to return a phone call. EXTREMELY SHAMEFUL!I am sad to say that we would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone we know. Such a disappointment!
Cascades has been staple in the Dominion neighborhood for almost 30 years. Its perfect location makes it unique. JRK is taking this community to another level, unlike anything in Fresno. I cant wait to see the transformation and Im proud to be a part of it!
Sorry this is not a luxury apartment, instead your home will be infested by roaches! No staff help and missy the manager has horrible people skills. Who wants to play pull in front of an open office. Who wants to sit and listen to music while management stares.what of wasted of money waiting for this place we got gipped!!! Run while you can my tub nearly fell through roof twice first week was her was whipped out robbed!!!
Alyssa McWhorter and the other Cascades leasing agents are wonderfully helpful and efficient. They made our first rental experience in the USA very pleasant and streamlined. We are very happy with our rental property here at Cascade Apartments.
Very nice place to live! We were looking for a place quickly that would allow a short term lease and a dog, the staff was very helpful and welcoming!
Near all your shopping needs. Only been here for a few weeks but the girls in the leasing office are super friendly and helpful! Tino in the maintenance crew has also been great.
I have nothing but positive things to say about Cascades. I love that the washer/dryer and garage are included in my rent. The neighborhood is great and feels like home.
I love the ladies in the office!! They have helped me for the past year and a half! I have never been happier at an apartment in my past 10 years in Fresno!! Yay cascades ❤️
Donyea gets 5 stars. Thank you for helping me recently. She is sooo positive and friendly.I have been here over 5 yrs. Love the area. Great schools for my child.Maintenance has always been good to me. Missy too.I’m looking forward to the renovations.
I absolutely love it! I’ve been here for a week staff is lovely! Very helpful!
Read the negative reviews, they are all true. Then read the admission from the area manager that all of the office staff members leave 5-star reviews to make the rating higher. The units are falling apart and are 1600 plus a month. JRK is the 15th largest property owner in the country. You dont matter to them once you sign a lease.
I have lived many places all over California and I have lived in Arizona and this place has been the best hands down! It’s close to my daughters school, the grounds are beautiful, Maintainence is always friendly and completes my requests perfectly!
We have lived at Cascades for 5 months now and have been extremely satisfied with office staff, the maintenance crew, and our neighbors. Where do I start, all units upon move in are updated with brand new appliances, flooring, your own garage etc.. which is one of the selling points for us to have chosen to live here. The location is prime NE Fresno and we are literally minutes from our go to fitness gym, fav restaurants, riverpark, the freeway, and our work. Maintenance staff is always responding promptly (even for the littlest of tasks) and the landscaping around the complex is always kept up! As for the office staff, they truly make you feel welcomed. Alyssa and the rest of the office staff/management are wonderful and open to answering any concerns or questions we may have. All in all, we’ve had a pleasant experience and really enjoy the area! It’s quiet and safe, close to everything, the apartments are aesthetically pleasing both inside and out, and just a great place to live. (Oh yeah and they’re renovating their club house, gym, and pool, can’t wait for summer!!)
I do not live here but the wires on the lamp posts at the Cascades violently shocked my dog while walking through there to the road after visiting a friend. There was a dead squirrel next to the post and feathers not far from it; both suggestions of death by electric shock. Sprinkler puddles were not too far from the scene as well. One would think that covering live wires is common sense. I cant begin to imagine the other things they neglect at this apartment complex. In response to the responseBefore posting I called the property management firm JRK Assurant who owns your complex according to your website. They placed me on hold for fifteen minutes. When I called back they transferred me to a resident relations voicemail. Im glad its taken care of as they wouldnt even talk to me.
The apartments are average, the facilities are average (getting better but still average) I just can never seem to even reach anyone in the office. Its like they dare one another not to answer the phone.
I absolutely love this place! Donyea was perfect. She answered every question that I have had. This process and has been more than amazing thanks to her! And her eyebrows are also on point! Very good to look at! Also Brittany and Alyssa have been helpful through this process as well. Thank you Donyea soooo much.
Its really sad that their own employees have to rate themselves 5 stars to keep up with the bad reviews.Lets see who will step up this time... Brittany, Missi, Alyssa or Donyea. It looks like you all have posted fake reviews for yourself, so dont forget to switch accounts this time!
Gorgeous property and great staff! The apartments are beautiful and the overall environment is great to live in. Definitely recommend!!
I like the apartment but I expressed a concern at the time of moving in that my stove was old. The microwave is new but the stove is ancient which I cant believe for the amount of rent that these apartments cost. The people underneath me have a new stove so I dont know why mine hasnt been replaced. My stove stopped working after 2 months so I have reached out to management and will post an update if necessary
Very friendly staff thoughtful and kind. Im glad to have moved in here.
Cascades has terrible management. I spent hours, a team of 4 of us cleaning all day, and they wouldn’t give back our deposit. We are very clean people. We cleaned behind the fridge and every appliance, cleaned the oven, washed windows, scrubbed everything top to bottom. They are thieves.
Not a safe place and way expensive my shoes and mail packages got picked up from front of my door and once my car got hit and broken into and management say they cant do anything cause they dont have cctvs
*** FYI some of the 5 star reviews are from previous and current EMPLOYEES!!!!!Save yourself the grief and agony and rent elsewhere! What started out as a wonderful, cozy place I called home over the past 4+ years has decreased immensely. I lived in a 1 bed/1bath for 3 years and, unfortunately, had to move into a 2 bed/2 bath with a roommate because in the three years I lived alone the company raised my rent by 30%. The last increase they proposed was a 13.5% increase due to the remodel yet my unit was not remodeled and they had no intention in doing so therefore I moved into a downstairs, remodeled, two bedroom. After moving we were quite surprised at the new utilities we were now paying. The fees included, water, sewer, and garbage but there were also fees for the community center (which we have not had access to for 6 months and counting), pest control fees, and electricity fees for lighting up the complex. However, still, we were happy to be living in such a centrally located and, for the most part, quality community. As I mentioned, we are now living in a two bedroom downstairs and we are constantly battling with our upstairs neighbors and the office. In these apartments, you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors do. We can hear them walk across the floor, shut closets, even their dog running around their apartment. We mentioned how loud the neighbors are and the office suggested we move into a townhouse here so that we did not hear neighbors above us. Again, the price increase was just too dramatic to be doable so we stayed put in our downstairs apartment. On December 4th, 2018, I returned home in the evening to my house hazy and smelling like smoke. I put together that my neighbors were having a fire in their fireplace and, in turn, was causing my apartment to smell of smoke. We have a service animal who lives in our house and our immediate concern was for her safety. At 9:00am on December 5th, I called the office to let them know what had happened. Brittany in the office told me there was nothing they could do. When I persisted again letting them know there was a service animal home, they said they would talk to the neighbors about what they were burning and see if they could burn something more clean. They also told me I could call the City of Fresno and complain because it hadn’t been a burn day. The neighbors proceeded to have fires morning and night, sometimes the smell was so bad it would wake us up in the middle of the night. We continued to make reports to office and security even came out and confirmed the smell was offensive and not normal. This proceeded through December and January. They smoke was so bad that friends who were over we’re having asthma attacks and myself and my roommate experienced headaches and red/watery eyes due to the prolonged exposure to the smell/smoke. It was not until the end of January/ early February that they had a specialist even come out and look at what was going on. The contractor told them to put a chimney extender on and so they did on February 21st, almost three months after the initial report of us living in hazardous living conditions and it still did not help. Again, security and even staff from the office, Donyea (asst. manager), came out and confirmed the smoke smell in our apartment. However, when Donyea returned to Missi (manager) she stated there was a “faint smell that someone was using their fireplace” which is NOT what she told myself and a whiteness the time she came to see the apartment for herself. In the beginning of March, and at the end of our frustration with our neighbors, the fires, and management, management gave us two options. We could pay 2 months rent to terminate our lease early or we could pay a new deposit of $500 and move to another (larger, yes) unit but would have to pay $180 more per rent. Both of these options seemed completely unfair as the reason we were moving was because of their units, not something we were doing. Also, they probably bought all those 5 star reviews. Not one person I know in this community is happy.
I am the pest control tech at this property, and have had a good experience with the stuff because they are easy to work with.
Good place
We unfortunately had a really bad experience with Cascade apartments. There was an initial mix up and the apartment we were told was available was actually not, which wasn’t a big deal. We were told a different layout was available so we submitted the application to make sure we would be approved ($47 application fee x2, $100 membership fee, $100 security deposit). We were still house/apartment hunting and the next day, found a place that better fit our needs. We came into the office and talked with their manager, Missi Burt, who we felt was rude and told us that her company was entitled to keeping the $300. She showed us the 14 page electronic document that was hidden in the online application, which stated in misleading language that they were entitled to the money as administrative fees. So we were stuck losing $300 after we pulled our application 24 hours after it was submitted. Legally they were in the clear, but morally it felt extremely wrong that they would keep $200 worth of secuirity deposit and membership fees in this situation. We both felt grateful we learned the true colors of this group before we signed a lease.
Nice
Overated apartments. Go to any other similar-tiered apartments if possible. The MOST Inconvenient online portal; I like simplicity and the ability to pay ahead of time to avoid last minute complications. Doesnt post your rent due until 1-2 days prior it is due, and you cant pay less than the full month due if you have a prorate due to moving out. Be prepared to pay the late monthly fee if any problem persists when paying online, as well as a trip to the bank for a cashiers check. Management is horrible on replying via the portal. Completely useless portal; Ive had to go to the bank for a cashiers check for half my monthly payments. They also hold packages in their office or place the packages in their Luxor package mailing system without notifying you of your code in adequate time at all. Why pay and wait for 2 day shipping when you can pay for 2 day shipping but get it 4-5 days later?? They have a great system, Luxor, they need to utilize it fully! Ive lived in much cheaper apartments with a bigger/better fitness facility provided here. I dont expect to get fully refunded my safety deposit, even after scheduling an appointment with management to review any possible defects before moving out. I will definitely update to reflect how quickly and what percentage of my safety deposit is returned. I will be stress-free when I move out of under this management. Always feels like Im in a battle for not paying more than Im suppose to.Update. I hadn’t received my security deposit for months after I moved out, nor a final bill of the total costs/renovations they’re taking out my deposits. Fact, previously stated bill or security deposit check is legally suppose to be mailed out within 30 days of following moving out/handing in keys. Also, I talked to the cleaning company and they quoted me 20% cheaper than the total I was deducted from my deposit with the same reasons. Had I time to move out sooner and deal directly with the cleaning company before management could take over, I’d have done so.
***DO NOT APPLY HERE!!!***On Saturday, February 28 I was told by Kate to pay the deposit and application fees online totaling $575, but before my credit was ran I cancelled my application the next day. My family had decided to stay renting the house weve been living in for the last 2 & 1/2 years. Kate would then tell me I had to wait 10 business days for my payment to clear before they could refund the $575 I paid. Its now Tuesday, February 14 and the refund check that the property manager assured me would be sent on Friday the 10th, still hasnt been issued. Corporate told me it would be generated on Wednesday the 11th and then the owners would have to drive to Redwood City to sign the checks, then mail my check via standard mail by Friday the 17th and I wouldnt get my check until Friday, February 24. This will be almost ONE MONTH from the date that Kate told me I had to pay for the deposit and application fees. The property manager at Crown Point was nice enough to apologize and take responsibility for Kates mistake, that Kate didnt have the courage to hold herself accountable for. All she had to do was let me know that by paying with my debit card online that it would take a long time to get my money back, that or I couldve easily paid for the deposit and application fees by cashiers check or cash. I dont know if Kates intentions were to get me to sign a lease quickly or if she sincerely didnt know the policy, but the fact that the property manager told me that Kate lied and told her that she had let me know the policy before I paid online tells me what type of person she is. All of this was very unnecessary and put me in a bad spot financially. The other girl I had spoken with, I believe her name is Carter, is extremely rude and unprofessional. The snippy tone and attitude she had towards me as I inquired about my check and just handing the phone to the property manager left me with the impression that customer service is not a focus at this property. This girl had absolutely no reason to be snarky with me and I would encourage her to find another profession where she actually benefits from having a bad attitude.Bottom line is, ask to pay for the deposit and application fees with certified funds (cashiers check or cash) instead of a debit or credit card. If you decide not to go through with the application or if youre denied, unless they chance their policy it may take about ONE MONTH to get your money back. A lot of people dont have that kind of time to get their money back, so Im just sharing my experience with you before you pay the $500 deposit, which shouldnt even be required to be paid before your application is processed. The deposit should only be required when youre approved and sign a lease agreement.
I lived here for just under a year. Decent place, good location, horrible management, and maintenance crew. I asked if I could break my lease 2 months early and move into a larger space within the same complex, and they denied it. If i wanted to move to a large space prior to my lease expiration I would have to pay double rent. I tried to reason with them for a little, but Missi and Dee, also know as Delores, were very firm and didnt even want to discuss it with me. Missi and Dee are very rude, and try to use large words, real estate terms and laws/regulations to intimidate the residents, when they hardly know what they are talking about or doing. They also lied, and tried to pull some shady moves upon move out. I would recommend this place, if not for the management team, minus a couple of the employees in the office, they are cool. In any event, I hope Missi and D feel good about themselves, because they seem pretty low to me. Could be a better community with better management and ownership.
You will regretted if you want to live in there.
This place has three pools and rarely are they all three open. One pool I’m told has a broken pump, it’s been closed for at least three weeks now. On more than one occasion all three pools have been closed on Monday, due to bacteria levels. It’s now Monday again and one pool still hasn’t been fixed, another is closed for whatever reason they choose and no idea about the third, get it together!
Best place ive ever lived!! Brittany deserves a raise!!!
Great staff maintenance is awesome
Horrible place to deal with.
Great apartments!
I have more than 2 weeks trying to apply with them, I have little to come to live in this country and explain my situation in detail and with evidence and that of course I had the economic solvency to pay for this place for me and my family, they were inattentive, I had to be calling them and I felt discriminated against because of my language, because clearly I receive from them a lack of interest in my application, I always called, nobody knew about my case, one told me one thing and others another, supposedly they checked with the Manager and yet they continued with the same inattention and disinterest, they never gave me options for a co-accredited person and argued that since I do not speak English and only my 18-year-old son translated for me, they couldnt do anything !!! Very unprofessional, they never spoke to my job or my previous rental references !! Terrible and discriminatory service !!! Today they only told me that since I did not present some documents before 5 pm they declined my request and I was dialing them from 11:00 in the morning !! 😠😠😠A. Berenice Negrete
