1 star worthy: They are flexible with late fees and pretty solid with rent. Decent norm grace period.However some neighbors pay more than others on the same property now why that is I have no clue.this company has been sued and LOST! Let that be a caution for you. You can check news articles. They are HORRIBLE with following repairs on the property. When it came to any leaks or water damage or plumbing issues will say they were on it ill give em that. However when it comes to property issues like...people illegally parking,lighting,graffiti...TRASH pile up..etc etc they are incredibly awful.Your rent may be cheap but expect to always be disappointed and ignored or repeatedly contacting them till theres change. Hands down a fail of a company.
So so. If you can rent from a more reputable place then it will be better. They only enforce what they wanna enforce. Stay away from apt rental because if you have any complaint about your neighbors then they dont do scrap about them. Good for beginners. Moving out when new place that suites me comes about.
Finally out of this slum lord shack after so long, so I am writing my honest review for them. My neighbors were wonderful, and the pricing was reasonable in comparison to other areas. HOWEVER, their apartments are terrible as is their management. There were a lot of roaches in the place, and rats/mouse were everywhere, making holes. It takes them forever to come fix something inside the apartment. Their customer service had always been bad. Whenever I give them a call, they would transfer me back and forth in between calls to different people. They are not very well trained so depending on who you are talking to, they will each give you a different answer. The water where I used to live at were shut off every other week without notice because the pipe always burst. They do random work around the complex and act like you dont have a job. They expect you to be home all day and open the door for them whenever they knock. Careful because they will send you random charges for no reason. Happened to me so many times, so I had to call and clear it each time. It wasnt easy but I wasnt going to pay up. I can sit here all day and write about every bad experience I had with them, but my advice is to only come to this rental company as last resort or as a start up. If you can, dont ever rent with them.
The location of the office can be tricky to find. Sometimes theres no parking in the front so you might have to park in the neighborhood. The staff can be friendly from time to time. Overall it is a decent rental office. You can easily walk in and grab a listing. Tons of availability ranging from houses to apartments.
This company is ok. Dont allow a lack of communication between yourself and the employees here. Dont let other tenants speak for you it will be a mistake. Deal with them directly and in person as much as you can and I believe you will be fine.

Although I’ve been turned down and told I need a co-signer, the employees have been very professional and courteous despite my agitation towards being denied. Seems like a decent business, hopefully i am able to find a co-signer or put down a double deposit.
My experience with this company was horrible. This company is very slow at responding to things and makes it a strong priority to blame liability on their tenants. Not all areas of maintenance should be taken on by a tenant. Property managers along with the actual property owners should assume maintenance responsibilities when necessary. Stay away from dealings with this business unless you want to be let down. I’m speaking from a home owner prospective living within close proximity to multiple properties managed by JD Home. Rentals.

This business has always had a bad reputation for a reason. The only people that rent from them are doing so as a last resort. The building itself is falling apart and while I was in there co-signing for a relative I hear the employees in there talking inappropriately about their customers or laughing at people that are calling on the phone to complain. They prey on people of low income or the minorities that cant afford to go elsewhere. Also what rental agency asked for the deposit prior to fixing the home or property for the renter to move in? They are shady and they know it. Please beware when using their services.
The application process was easy. Although the properties look scary at first once you pay your deposit they fix them up. 😊

Their properties are infested with rats, roaches and they didn’t even do nothing. You can see all the roaches coming out of their yards. Luckily we were able to make the report to the city. Their staff always say that they can do nothing and they only do customer service. Their properties are spreading infestations all over our neighborhood.
Employees at the main office have some of the worst attitudes. Maintenance team is slow, inexperienced and rude. Maintenance crew who renovated the roofing at the apartments I reside in broke the ac, causing us to suffer in 100 degree weather for 3 weeks. AC techs were new and inexperienced so they were behind on work orders. Meanwhile the employees in the maintenance department gave us horrible attitudes when wed call for an update(per their instructions).
Could look a little nicer and better organized as far as office looks. But service was speedy and prompt.Good customer service

Dont rent from JD home rentals. They dont care about their tenants and it shows. Avoid like the plague.My AC had been broken for 2 months during a massive heatwave and they refuse to fix it. I warned them that it reaches over 95 degrees on a daily basis and is affecting my health physically and mentally. They literally laughed at me on the phone.They truly dont care about their tenants. Im currently in the process of taking legal action against them and the law firm I am involved with told me that they get sued (and lose) A LOT! Stay far away.Edit: Dont be fooled by the reply below. It was a blatant lie. Luckily I have already moved out, but please listen and avoid JD Home rentals. If you have any doubt about what I am saying, just visit their office. You will understand immediately! It is a disgusting place with disgusting people.

Very poor service, they treat their tenants like trash. I went 3 whole days without power, they said they would credit my account, and are not honoring what they said. If Jovana (maintenance manager) doesnt call me back by EOD I will make a complaint with Fresno City and will be calling CBS 47 news.
Bad customers service and management. I was just move in about 1 month ago and they never give me garage key. I dont have any parking for my car i would always park my car wherever, at fire line, outside the gate appartments and at my relatives place for sometimes too. I called jd home maintaining for almost 2 months now they keep saying they call me back and never. Everytime i called the maintenance they said it will take very long for the company to make key. They seemed never care their tenants needs. They have the key but just ignored. Why u rent your property when you dont have the key for tenant? JD Homes should taking care of their tenants better than this. I was very mad for paying them money but not get what i want i dont want to live their property anymore.

Applied for an apartment and didn’t get approved because they were having trouble verifying my rental history. So it’s my fault they don’t know how to do their job, at least they could’ve called and told us we didn’t get it but no I had to do that as well. Don’t go through these people.

Just received a letter today they are no longer taking money order for payment. Now you have to go to 1 of 4 places to pay rent. Now you have to pay a $4 fee on top of your rent every month now. Why not make it to where you pay online or an app without fees like everywhere else. Shouldn’t you make it easy for your renters? Or does our opinion not matter?

Hi I been in Fresno ca for two days I have never lived here my friend gave me JD homes to go to find me a place there very reasonable in rent they don’t ask for so much that you won’t be able to find something . I walk in there today and was greeted with smiles and welcomes . I felt very comfortable and pleased with the whole staff I also would love to bring a name who I truly appreciate Edwin he was great friendly conversation very professional he answered all my questions was very patient with me I don’t regret my visit. I had a few questions about being a co-signer for my parents, who are wanting to rent a place. I called and talked to Edwin (I hope I have his name right?!) and he was very polite, professional, and he answered each one of my questions in detail to the BEST of his knowledge. He is very knowledgeable and honest. I would recommend this rental company to everyone, BECAUSE of my great experience here. The prices are reasonable and the places for rent are nice. Currently, I am in serious apartment search mode. In other words, a bit stressed but keeping my calm, my cool and carrying on. I made a call to JD Home Rentals. The woman who answered actually asked if she could put me on hold. Thank you. Phone etiquette is not dead! EXCELLENT. Now here’s the choice nugget, EDWIN— polite, patient and most importantly he listened to my questions and provided very helpful and resourceful answers ALL of this he did while fielding the other calls coming in. Each time I was asked to be put of a brief hold and when he came back on the line, the ringing phone in the background was taken care of AND he had managed to find a detailed answer to the current question we were working on. From start to finish the call lasted 21 minutes. Now that, is one hard working, time stacking individual who genuinely wants and IS serving his community. EDWIN, thank you. Your customer service is superior.

My wife and I submitted applications on the 14th of February 2020. We were helped by EDWIN who is very personable and professional. He was thorough in letting us know what would be needed and their processing time. We go back on Tuesday and I can say were looking forward to it. Would recommend them to other families looking for housing they have plenty of options and great pricing
They are a horrible company to rent with
My rent went up and I wasn’t even notified and all they could say is “we left you a notice two months ago”. They also put a lock on the laundry room and I never received the key, they are so unorganized that they don’t even know what key it is! I’m also being charged for not to letting them fumigate my apartment but they notified me a day before they were going that I needed to take everything out!
I have been waiting since February for a place and I keep getting set back..I have ready paid a double deposit yet still living on the street in my vehicle...what would you say

I paid to go see a house the guy was late and I didnt even go in the house cuz it was horrible and I paid pretty much 20$ for that plus my time today because there policy days you have to return within 5 days which was the weekend I called to inform them I would be in a week they confirmed but no integrity on there end hope they review there policies

Not a good day, as I walked in there was two people very upset. I heard him trying to find an answer as to why the apartment he had put down deposit andwouldbe ready on the 19th was rented to someone else. JD rental associates where not dealing in a professionally. What they did do was call the police.
I like Tina. She always try her best to help me. She is always available for me. When I observe her, she has that I care about you attitude. She is very patient which makes me feel important as a renter. Thank her for her great work.

My family and I never had a problem with JD Home Rentals the 33 years that my mother lived in our (RENTED) home if anything was wrong we would fix it. Hey its wear and tear, it wore out then fix it not a big deal at all. I cant remember a day that my mother ever called JD for anything, not because they were going to charge her or for any other reason just because she lived in the house and was going to fix it because of the fact that, thats what you do when your borrow something from someone you take care of it like its your own or how you would like for some people to take care of your personal items.. RIGHT?? RIGHT!! Our family is well known in the area where we live and have lots of loving and caring friends and family all around, who also rent from JD. Not a problem..If you had a tour, you filled out the application, you paid the down payment and you moved in. Hey you seen what you liked and obviously you get what you pay for.. Our family would like to thank JD Home Rentals for every single year that was given to us, the house is more then anyone can ever imagine, it had so much meaning to us.There are some things that we can agree with! The office staff is horrible they need lots and lots of Customer Service training esp working with a lot of upset tenants, they just dont care no matter what you are trying to say THEY DONT CARE. I seriously believe if they had better customer service lots of their tenants would be some what happy, but thats up too the supervisor Miguel or maybe Bryce the owner to take corrective action regarding this situation. As for the inspection guy next time I would recommend you not to go to work while you are PMSing or maybe it was too hot for you that day my point is you made notes stating my mother said things she never said,As we leave our home of 33 years very loyal tenant never had a problem,( leaving not by choice) it was great! My mom and I were renting an apartment and never had a problem. Our rent was at a good price in a great area. Adrianna from JD Home Rentals is a great worker she knows how to be opening for her clients she listens and helps us out in many occasions.
JD home, one of the best rental in town. They were able to help me find an apartment fast. Moving in was super easy and the paperwork process was even easier. Thank you so much Dia for helping me out with everything and the manager Yeng at our apartment complex is just the sweetest and most helpful lady ever. Cant beat having a good worker who helped me out and a manager that I can rely on daily.
Moving to a new city is never easy. I had looked and looked as much as I could when a friend had suggested JD Homes to me. They approved me and then it was just a matter of looking on my weekends when not at work. JD Homes being open on a Saturday made it easy for me to find a house help me and get everything going. Edwin and Dia have both helped me with the process and been amazing at returning calls and answering all my questions to make this move as easy as possible.
I been renting for almost 4 years and I have had a great experience here renting from JD homes, I have never had anyone not not do their jobs, staff had been so nice, respectable, maintenance had been out for every repair, no big issues, I just love my new place. JD home had been a good company to rent from. Especially they will meet your needs in finding an apartment or house, they did me. 😀😀😀😀😀 just happy happy, I had to move and relocate and JD Homes worked with me. Living around in a Alley has its stories with evil raciest people as neighbors from another rental company who dont screen their tenants.
Jd rentals hiring a nothing but unprofessional maintenance with no name tags!!!! He kept wanting to enter my house for smoke alarms and refuse to act professional when my husband wasn’t around, drives a blue Hyundai claims to be a leasing agent hired from JD beware!!!!!

Love Tina. She is very patient, friendly, and professional about her job. She takes her time explaining the whole process with us thoroughly. She wrote everything that we need on a sticky note, because she wants to make sure that we have everything with us when we turn in our application. She makes the application process simple and fast.

You get what you pay for. I have been renting my unit for over 5 years and have never had a major problem with the company. Yes they take some time to repair things and yes they repair them as cheaply as possible... but what do you expect from a low income housing provider. It took them 2 years to replace a fence and now that it is up my property looks great.
They shut off my electricity one week before I was supposed to move out without any notice. Owner is corrupted and already got sued. Apartments need better living conditions. They seem to never clean out the place.

Misleading and confused by their process. My family was approved with a cosigner we got a cosigner she was denied when we asked what score was needed we were told that they dont go off of the score. Confusing. We are desperate need of a home and thought they would help but we were told that we dont qualify for a double security deposit even though we have the income. The process here is confusing and I wasted a $100 cause I wasnt told that if I submit a wiz report I automatically need a cosigner even though our income meets the qualifications really feel discriminated against for having a large family and receiving assistance from the county and disappointed in how Paloma wanted to discuss our credit even though we were APPROVED and came to inquire about our co signers denial. I wanted to know about the double security deposit option that was mentioned by another staff member but we werent told why we couldnt do the double security deposit. Feeling defeated and sad about being strung along

GARDENERS ARE THEIFS watch your stuff if you live in apartment. I had some decorative items for my garden in a bag, came home the next day they were gone! Only people that stopped by were gardeners who left a huge mess and have no respect for your garden and STEAL THINGS THAT ARE NOT THEIRS!!!
I went to JD Homes because I needed a small house for myself and my dog after a divorce. I didnt have the best credit and they let me have a co-signer and I was approved. My son came from LA to sign for me and Tina couldnt have been nicer. A special recognition to Elizabeth who calmed me down throughout the end of the process when I was finally able to sign for my rental. Her customer service is excellent. When you go there ask for Elizabeth. I am so excited to move in to my rental soon.

The worst experience of my life. This place will really have to redeem themselves to change my mind. The level of professionalism is non-existent. The ability to maintain and keep the property in good to fair condition is not a priority nor is it a general practice. If I had the ability to give this review and company zero stars thats absolutely what it would get.
