Had an amazing time out today with captain Kevin and zeck. We had three kids aged 7, 7 and 9 with us and they were well engaged and had fun. Caught a few bull reds and limited out on our sharks. Had a few gafftops in the mix as well.

1 of the best times Ive had in my life. Capt. Kev and Matt are both awesome guides as well as down to earth good people. We will be going again. 100%

Best damn salt water fishing ever. Came here on vacation and had no luck all week so we took a charter with these fine folks today and had the time of our lifes and tagged out on reds. Great people! Very knowledgeable! Will use them every time.

We fished with these guys two days in a roll. Had an awesome time caught fish and sharks of a life time. My wife’s first time ever off sure fishing they done a great job helping her out without doing everything for her. I’d highly recommend this charter Everything on our dream list to catch was meet and surpassed including a 9 foot hammer head that my hooked up with. I will fish with them again without a doubt. Excellent trip. Limited out on big Snapper and caught a good bit of kingfish. Captain really knows the water and the best fishing spots. Had his daughter with us as the deckhand and she worked hard for us all day. I will be using Surfside Beach Charters again with Captain Kevin.

As a guy who books lots of charter trips I was surprised to go fishing with a captain who did not bring a deckhand with him. Hard to run a boat AND take care of multiple guests......Also first time I have ever seen a captain drink on the boat with guests :/ - Wont go back. We caught some fish, but I know how things should run and this was not it.

My friend Adam and I chartered with Surfside for our first deep sea fishing trip, and am I glad we did. We went fishing with Captain Johnny Welch on the boat Live action. He was enthusiastic and easy going and explained our odds and guided us through the basics and finer points of trying to land a catch.The waters were choppy and while we managed a few catfish for dinner, Johnny wasnt satisfied and kept looking for ways to get us a big catch. He worked constantly, chumming the water, casting lines with fresh bait and chatting with us. A few hours in he asked if we wanted to go for a big score by looking for shark.We chased shrimp trawlers around the bay and we landed a six foot long, eighty-two pound Black Tip! We fought it for nearly an hour and came back to the dock feeling great about the experience. Johnny made this trip folks, he worked hard and busted his backside all morning to give us the best shot at making the experience something to remember, and man did he succeed from the moment he picked us up.Ask for Captain Johnny guys, you wont be disappointed. He helped make our vacation!

This is a tourist trap. You go down to have a good time. Then the cops start pulling you over and charging you with everything they can to get more money out of you. Just check it out when you go to court. 90% of everyone in there will be from out of town. (Harris County/Fortbend).

I used to work for Cpt Kevin on size matters. His knowledge of fishing, and spots he has logged in his computer are unmatched!

What an experience! The water was really choppy and we still ended up with a really nice haul! Capt. Kevin still managed to put us on some fish! I would do this again in a heartbeat, and when we do, well make sure to book through Surfside Beach Charters again.

Great when its great but when theres nothing, its still great just to be here with great friends! Room to grow to be a star 4 or 5 but a great place to visit!

Great trip! We went 8 miles + out and caught a variety of fish including kingfish, mahi mahi, snapper, and jack crevalle! We will definitely book another trip with this charter. The captain and deckhand we’re both very informative and made the experience the best it could be.

Great experience, especially for my two teenage sons. Capt Kevin did a good job of getting us on fish - we limited out on Kingfish and shark.

Becareful of hidden prices, i thought i was paying for the day/half day. you also pay for the fuel plus day rate....it ended up being 150 deposit plus $550. after discussing this with other people. thats a too high. the captain was super nice.

Ive fished with these guys several times now and they always work hard to put on fish. Good charter
