My husband and I both get our haircut exclusively at this shop and have for years until COVID, we came back for the first time post inoculation and feeling comfortable with others.His went wonderfully!Mine however didnt go so great, The stylist accidentally caught the back of my head where Ive been deliberately growing out an undercut and had some good length. A few days later after the cut things were still looking very bad I went back and explained what had happened and have received a complimentary trim and adjustment and now my hair looks great.One time out of 60 we had a small snafu and it was immediately rectified, and I will be back again and again and again and so will my husband.

Took my son to get a haircut with no appointment as we were in the area getting breakfast. Walked in and 2 other clients were waiting. We checked in and there were 11 people ahead of us based on online check in appointments. They finished everyone in store one by one except my son and after each of the 3 “stylists” were done they took about a 15 min break to run a vacuum and take towels to the back. After sitting by ourselves for no less than 8-10 minutes an online customer walked in and by some magic one of them appeared and called them back. He was ahead of us on the board so no big deal. 5 more minutes went by and more of the people from the online scheduler showed up, checked in a sat down. After a few minutes it was obvious we were to be taken in order no matter how much down time the girls had. My son could have been done and gone with ample time for a break but unfortunately laziness won again. Very disappointed and will not be back to this location.

Tristen is the best! Very knowledgeable about hair cutting/styling and maintenance, charming, knows when to make conversation and when not to. She is worth the wait!

I have been going to this location for the better part of two years now. Today was by far the best experience Ive had... Destiny was meticulous with her work on my hair and my half hour at the man spa was most enjoyable!

I stopped by today without an appointment and there was no wait time.Destiny cut my hair and it looks good.The price was reasonable at $18.I do plan on returning next time I need a haircut, although I might ask them to not turn on the vibrator on the chair when washing my hair.

Check in process left a lot to be desired. They have a sign in sheet at the front of the store and I signed in and proceeded to wait 30 minutes before any employee checked the sheet. Multiple people left without service. I decided to wait it out. While I waited multiple people checked in online. Once I was finally acknowledged they put me at the end of the online check in list with a 30+ minute wait. Unacceptable.

The lady that cut my sons hair had no clue about styling, she was just in a rush to move on to the next!

Decent place, its very geared towards men. the young lady i always go to does a fantastic job cutting my hair. i let another lady cut my sons and the turn out wasnt so well, so id say great for adults.

The haircuts are average. Theres a couple places who do better for the same price if not cheaper. The price of over $20 for an average quality haircut just isnt worth it for me. They also try pushing additional services on you.

I have taken my boys here many times. There are only 2 really qualified ladies to cut boys/mens hair. I never thought that going to a gentlemans hair cutter I would have to tell the stylist how to do the cut or better yet go get another stylist myself and bring them over to show them what they are doing wrong. Is a high and tight on a 12 year old boy really that hard? Clearly these girls dont have the qualification to cut mens hair. We will be looking for a new barber.

My fiancé has had his hair cut at this salon about 4-5 times. Each time he complains of the terrible haircut he receives, but he kept thinking it would be better each time he returned. I’ve had to “fix” several of his haircuts after going to sports clips- multiple uneven spots. How is it that I can do a better job cutting his hair than a trained professional? This is concerning. As some of the other reviewers noted, they spend about 5-6 minutes total cutting your hair- that seems way too fast based on my experience with haircuts. I wouldn’t recommend using this salon. He’s planning to go to one of the barbers in Urbana going forward as they are cheaper and higher quality in terms of the haircut.

My Son got his first haircut Yesterday! The stylist that cut my sons hair did a very nice and was also very patient. Ive been going to sports clips for years. Everything is very convenient here. I like they added the online check in it saves time. Ive never had a bad haircut here. All the stylists do a great job. You get to watch sports while getting your haircut, whats better than that!

We came in for our toddlers first haircut and Alli did an amazing job. We were nervous about how it would go, but She made him feel completely comfortable and made the experience easy for all of us. Since, I was a kid I have had a long history of people failing my expectations and butchering my hair. There has only ever been one person I could always trust with my hair, but since moving over an hour away its not easy to find the time to always make it there. My job requires that I look clean and well kept on every shift so this presented a problem for me.For over a year now, I have tried many so called barbershops and barbers when I couldnt make it to my guy. They all have let me down and no one has earned my business a second time. That changed today and I have to say that I am glad I can say that. Your Barber Alli has earned my confidence that she can do the job and do it right. She took the time to look at my hair and talk to me about what I had going on and then understood what it would take to get it looking like I wanted. She is a professional hands down and knows her craft better than any barber I have experienced in the Frederick area.Hats off to Alli because I dont have to worry about having butchered hair anymore

I have been frequenting this Sport Clips for years now. The service and quality of the haircuts are superb! Alli, Tristen, and Tonia are my go tos, and I highly recommend all three. My head and hair are a little funny, so i let them just do their thing and every time it turns out great. I feel confident that when I have any one of them cutting my hair, there is nothing to worry about. They also have great memories, are extremely professional, and keep digital records of your preferences, lengths, etc. Theyll also clean up your eyebrows, lower neckline, or ears at no extra charge. The online check-in process is very quick and easy as well, never do I have to wait longer than 10 minutes when using it. The shop is clean, the price is affordable, and the ladies that work there are very knowledgable, fast, and friendly. Thank you Sport Clips of Westview Village! Ive been coming here for a little over year now, and i have to say it. Alli is the only person i trust with my hair. Legit the best skin fade you will ever get. she not only cuts hair great she takes her time to help you with your hair and give you pis and tricks to style and maintain it. I go here at least once a week sometimes every other just to stay fresh. Alli is a great barber and the building as a whole seems to work great together!!

Tristen provide amazing fades. I honestly only allow her to touch my hair. I recommend this hair stylist to anyone has a great understand of music an hair products.

My son’s haircut was sloppy and uneven. Worse haircut I’ve seen. Had to fix his haircut myself. Stylist was to busy talking loudly to other clients to hear what my son was saying. She styled his hair so you couldn’t see the awful job she did. Or didn’t do. Very unprofessional and the last time we go there.

I arrived at 4 pm today, signed in. The wait was about 10 minutes, then I was greeted by Stephanie. She sat me down and we discussed what service I wanted today. I selected the MVP . She made conversation and I was very comfortable about the whole procedure. It was a great experience.

I have been working with Alli for about a year, and she had me as a loyal customer from the first visit. Although I have always walked out extremely happy, the cuts get better and better each time!!! Her knowledge of the products and skill as a stylist are second to none!!!

Couldnt follow directions

It was VERY rushed, give or take 5-8mins, and the attention to detail was poor. There are very noticeable uneven cuts on the top and side. I didnt notice these until I got home and washed due to the product applied, even though I told them I dont use any products. This was the second time I went today, hoping I would get the same great experience I had the first time, but I was gravely mistaken. Honestly the fastest and worst cut yet.

Great place to get a haircut! Reading through other reviews, it looks like some people didnt do well when the franchise went to the new online check in system. It is a great system that doesnt have you wasting time in their waiting area. As with any barbershop, you will have to try a couple barbers until you find the right one for you. We have a couple that my son and I like. Of course, there are a couple that we will not let cut our hair. Most of the staff is very friendly.

I just brought my husband here to see Alli i have heard NOTHING but good things about her on the reviews. She was very nice from the moment she greeted him she was also very busy with other gentlemen waiting just for her to cut there hair. My husband will always come here for his cuts because of her we came before a year or so ago and had a horrible experience we tried it again and we both love it she also sold us products for his hair we needed good stuff! So if you need a cut i recommend you come to sportsclips and ask for alli i promise she will have you walking out a new person she will do great things cutting the way she does forsure!!

Had to go back and change my review after my last visit. How I ask for a fade on the sides and just clean up the top turns into a military cut I have no idea. On top of that my hair isnt even on both sides. Trystin and I believe its Tania are the only 2 who always do my hair correctly. Im not the type get blow up on someone but this is ridiculous.

Please see ammendment below.I have had my haircut at sport clips for many years and today is the first time I felt obligated to post a review. I walked into the store and while signing in told the stylist helping me that I didnt remember another stylist name but thought she had cut my hair the last time. She set me up with the stylist I pointed out. I told the stylist what I wanted and she proceeded to cut my hair. After she had finished she asked another stylist to review her work who then proceeded to notice some mistakes she had made and correct them. Needless to say, at this point my hair had already been cut so there was no turning back. I do not hold any ill will towards the stylists who cut my hair since she was obviously new and in some form of training, rather the management who should have pointed out thg his fact to me prior to my hair being cut. I have not mentioned that lack of customer service and smart aleck comments made by the stylist who was asked to review the cut I had received. I may need to search for other hair cutting places moving forward.The more I thing about it, the angrier I become. I have looked through other reviews and realize that the only response to negative reviews I see is to revisit the location and have one of the stylists see what they can do to make it better, zero accountability, zero outreach from ownership. I run a business and from time to time we have received unfavorable reviews. In every response my phone number is posted requested the reviewer contact me...............................................................I received from Melissa whom I believe is the the owner of this particular Sport Clips. She was professional, apologetic, & friendly. We both agree that once hair is cut there is nothing to do but wait. Last time I went I did a walk-in and waited almost an hour on a weekday evening which I believe to be far to long. Then when paying for my mens haircut which takes 10 minutes it prompts me for how much I want to tip starting with $5 and going up from there. This isnt a hair salon, I got a simple haircut. What happened to the screen where it just asked you to enter your tip and I wrote it in the amount I wanted to give. In the future I will just go to one of the many local mens barber shops, many of which are cheaper than this chain.

Very disappointed. Stylist rushed through the cut like it was a pit stop at a Nascar race. How fast can I get this person out of here with the least amount of effort. A child was yelling in the background and Tristen stopped cutting to help with this scared child. Much respect for that. I just moved to Frederick and just found my permanent place for a haircut.

The best haircut I have ever had. I dont remember the guys name that did it. He was the only male barber there. He was also telling me about products and I realized I was using things the wrong way for 10 years.

I had one good experience here with my son when the manager cut his hair. I went a second time and the haircut was OK. I let it slide because my sons a toddler. They aren’t the easiest when it comes to haircuts. Third time we had the absolute worst experience. My son was actually very calm and cooperative but the woman was totally unable to perform a cut on a young child. She made it clear to my husband that she really didn’t want to cut a toddlers hair but she was the only person open so she had to. She was asked to do a scissor cut and immediately clippered his head. Unfortunately my husband spoke up too late( his fault, not hers). When my husband asked her to do something different with the cut she refused. We will absolutely never come here again. Their staff aren’t completely trained for all situations. It took my sons hair 2-3 months to grow out enough to get it fixed somewhere else.

I went in and sat down pretty quickly with one of the women who work there (I refuse to believe they’re any sort of hair stylists). I ask her to fade the sides and then leave at least 3 inchest at the top of my head. She does fine on the fade and obliterates the top of my head, there’s not even an inch on top when I asked for three. She also scratched the side of my face with the clippers and she was distracted by her co workers because apparently the next day is “Doughnut Day”. Please don’t go to this place, your much better off finding a place in downtown Frederick where the real barbers are located.

I just want to let you know that my husband was at your Westview Village shop on Sunday around 2 pm and got a haircut from Chris T. He couldnt have been happier with the cut and I wanted you guys to know that I dont think hes ever had a haircut that great. Way to go Chris T.

Do not go to this place.Most of the stylists can not even use clippers properly. Their new online checkin is a joke! Sport Clips is great! Of the three different MVP hair-cut choices, as I always go for the Double or Triple MVP, depending on the amount of time that I have to spend. Ever thought about adding a professional shaving option, even if just occasionally (e.g., once or twice a month on a weekend day)?

Absolutely horrible! By the time I left, it looked like a 3 year old had cut my hair. My sideburns were uneven. The top of my hair wasnt even blended in with my sides which were shaved! It looked like I had a cone head. I had to go to a barber shop the next day because I got so much negative feedback. If you value your hair a lot DO NOT go here.

The manager messed up my sons hair. And then proceeded to blame me for it because its what I asked for. She had someone else fix it, even though I wanted a refund. My sons hair still needs to be fixed and Im definitely not returning to a place where they cant do their job.👎
