After moving to the area, one of the first things I had to do was find a good barber. I was lucky enough to find Lisa at The Barber Shack within a week, and she gave me a great cut! I have been in the area for several months now, and Lisa has been nothing but consistent and accommodating with each cut. She takes her time and uses every minute she needs within your appointment to get your style just right. I would recommend her to anyone who asks!

The most professional haircut and beard trim Ive ever gotten. I was not sure exactly how I wanted my beard trimmed, but where I was unsure Lisa took professional liberty and perfected the cut. And the price at the end of the session was MUCH lower than anywhere else Ive been in the area and for a lot higher quality.

Lisa is really good at what she does. I hadnt cut my hair for a year and my hair is fairly thin but I wanted a haircut and a hairstyle that would make me look good. Once I told her what I wanted she figured out the best style and I was very impressed with my final hairstyle. I really wanted to find a barber I wanted to stick with after I moved to Frederick and I think I found the right person to cut my hair. Will definitely be back next time.

Lisa is amazingly attentive to her customers. I took my 15 year old son to her for a haircut - fade to longish hair on top. She began by asking my son what he wanted, then began cutting carefully, asking him for feedback every now and then. At one point she asked him if he always had a cowlick, then worked the haircut around the cowlick - which turned out really great! He wanted it longer on top, even though she recommended a little shorter, but she left it longer as he wished. Lisa seems like a really cool person, tuning herself quietly to the person in front of her. Great person, mad skills, and a fair price. We will be going back. BTW, my son said it was the best haircut he ever got.

Trust me, I tried to find someone closer, but no one does as good of a job as Lisa. She listens and does what you want with getting your feedback every step of the way, which is great! She knows how to cut hair and is very friendly. I am always leaving a happy customer.I showed up on time for my appointment and she was ready for me to get in the chair. After looking for a new barber online, I was surprised to find one with 5 stars across the board. I soon found out why. Lisa provided a quality haircut, asked questions throughout the cut to make sure things were to my liking, and made very efficient work of my quarantine mess of hair. Everything was properly sanitized, masks and gloves were worn, and I felt comfortable during the cut. Online booking made the process that much easier as well! Just happened to run into Lisa early this morning due to her advertisement on her vehicle. Asked a few questions and decided to stop in this afternoon to have my beard and mustache trimmed and cleaned up with clean lines. She took her time did a great job and offers straight razor and as someone noted is a dying art. I will be coming back in 2 weeks for a trim and a haircut. Very professional, her shop is quaint and relaxing (not Grand Central station) like some of the other shops in the area. I would recommend the Barber Shack if you’re looking for a great Barber!
