The technician Dave who came by for the annual checkup was fabulous. He is knowledgeable, experienced and was patient with explaining my AC system to me. He also was thorough and checked all parts to make sure that they were working. I recommend the company.

Having a home on an island does have its challenges. A/C went out and a Coastal Cooling experienced technician came out by boat within 48 hours to diagnose the problem. Options and cost to either repair the existing system or replace it with new equipment was clearly explained and a formal proposal was subsequently provided. I opted for new equipment along with a maintenance agreement. I was provided an install date, and as promised, despite the logistics involved living on an island, the job was completed in less than a week from my initial contact with Coastal Cooling. I strongly recommend them for your A/C needs. Experieced and knowledgeable technicians, and office staff very easy to work and communicate with.

Coastal provided a very attractive quote for our replacement A/C unit.On the day of the install, the crew arrived on time, took precautions to protect the indoor space they would work in and explained the removal and install process and time requirement. Had an old inefficient system on its last legs. Half the house was warmer than the other half and I needed help understanding what the best approach would be. Alan added a newer Daikin FIT that made it all better. Now I can monitor and adjust the temperature from my phone. It is whisper quiet. They’ll get a tech to you in a timely fashionif you experience a problem and they’ve always been professional and courteous. Office staff is exceptional, too. I’ll give them a two because some of their technicians are very pleasant and attempt to be helpful. I’ve used them for a couple of years and they installed a new unit for me almost three years ago. However, I have had an issue recently that caused me to have to reach out to them for not one, not two, but three weekend or late night calls in the same week at premium pricing. They never resolved the problem and the last night technician I spoke with was very lacking in customer service, to be diplomatic in my wording. I decided to cut my losses with the company and switched to a owner run and operated operation out of Cape Coral called Fine Air. This new company found that the unit installed by coastal cooling was missing an essential part that was causing my problem. So Fine Aur not only fixEd Coastal Cooling’s problem quickly but they ended up saving me a lot of money now and in the future. I still have a big hole in my ceiling caused by water damage due to Coastal Cooling‘s error but at least I have a friend that will fix that for me without charge. My suggestion? Stay away from large companies and stick with owner operated businesses like Fine Air from Cape Coral. When an owner is involved hands-on in a business, there is no better care. And by the way, two weeks later, Coastal Cooling called to follow up and the receptionist calling, when I explained everything, did not apologize for their gross error and mistakes or damage that was caused to my home. No remorse, no empathy. Just, “Glad you got it fixed.” Lol. Thanks lady! Thank you for confirming that I made the right choice to move to Fine Air in Cape Coral. When my Coastal Cooling contract runs out on my business, I will be moving that account over to Fine Air as well.

Coastal Cooling came through with flying colors on a recent job in Ft. Myers. It was a bit scary getting there, but never because of anything that Coastal did. In fact, from the beginning, they were in our corner. We arrived at our Florida home late on a Friday night to find no a/c. The next day, Tyler was on site to diagnose the issue. It seemed we had two leaks and would need parts. Unfortunately, one of those parts was seemingly not available locally and the source offered no idea when it might be expected. For the first week that we were here, the house temp never went below 81 (most of the time 84-86) with high humidity as well. Brooke, the in house service contact felt our pain, spoke with management and Daniel was sent out to install two portable a/c units for our bedrooms so we could at least sleep. Meanwhile, we continued to wait for the part. I finally called the manufacturer (Goodman) who made some calls and located the part on the other side of the state at another of their distribution locations. The transfer took forever! We waited another 9 days. Finally the part arrived. Michael came to the house and completed the job ...two weeks and two days after the adventure began. Im not thrilled with Goodman. If I hadnt called them to push, who knows what would have happened. It was a team effort and the Coastal Cooling folks came through. Everybody that i dealt with was very professional and tried their best to make us more comfortable. I have every confidence in them and look forward to working with them for annual maintenance going forward.

Our technician, Roberta, was extremely hardworking and conscientious. She took the extra time to make sure our drain pans and lines were very clean and informed us of everything she had done and the condition of our systems. She gets an A+ from us.

We have had a Coastal Cooling heating and AC system in our home for eight years. Since 2012 when it was installed, they have regularly provided servicing and, more importantly, have covered all repairs and labor due to the comprehensive 10 year warranties they offer on their systems (For an added cost). You may pay a bit more for Coastal, however, the quality easily surpasses their competition!
