I had no intent to use this business. Instead, they acted outside of the scope of their contract with the property management company and towed my rental car from my daughters apartment complex. The lease agreement states that a vehicle must be left for 24+ hours before it will be towed. That didnt happen. They also didnt give notice, which is also required by municipal code. When we went downstairs to ask the truck operator why our car had been stolen - I mean towed - he stated that he patrols the lot and impounds cars that dont have parking permits. Again, this is outside of the scope of the towing companys agreement with the property management company. We were then met by a man claiming to work for the complex. Perhaps he has an incentive for these towing calls. I can only speculate because we werent the only aggrieved parties tonight. The sign in the parking lot lists an incorrect phone number for Fort Collins Towing. This could be a mistake by either the towing company or the property management company. After locating their actual number on Google, I called and went to the impound lot. I called again from the lot, since nobody was inside the supposed 24/7 service center. When I called, the driver I had spoken with earlier told me to try to have a good attitude.Are. You. Kidding. Me.You just stole my rental car from my daughters apartment complex, and youre about to steal more money from me, and you want me to have a good attitude? No. Not happening. On the other hand, the group ahead of me when someone finally arrived to help us was even angrier than I was. I might not have agreed with everything they said, but their anger was justified. In short, this company is operating a racket. They impound cars from people who dont deserve to have their cars stolen. Their quasi-legal process is designed to frustrate you into submission. Theyre thieves operating under the color of law.

If negative stars could be made I’d hit the minus -5 star. Mr. Wyatt calls this place a business? The call facility is operated out of India so expect to wait hours for a human to answer, while you’re waiting for a Genie to appear out of an temporary expired permit trailer. - no onsite workers, no direction or ordinance. What operation is this? I understand that vehicles get towed and it’s the drivers risk and pay the fee, however out of respect you shouldn’t jeopardize an individuals an entire day with the unknown. Hire some workers Mr. Wyatt, you should at least start with business 1101.

My daughter’s visitor parking pass had inadvertently fallen off the rear view mirror but was still visible in car. This company towed her car from her girlfriend’s apartment complex and charged her $222 to get it back. I called the company but got nowhere with their rude receptionist. It really should be criminal how these tow companies take advantage of college students. I live in a college town also and we have the same problem here with tow companies. I understand that college students are easy money and that there are legitimate circumstances where cars need to be towed but this was just this tow company taking advantage of an unfortunate thing like the parking pass falling down.

Moved into a new condo on December 1st. My parking pass has yet to come in the mail. My HOA has confirmed with me that I will not be towed but it makes me nerves to park without a permit. Today I called the tow company to see what they could do to insure I wouldn’t get towed. With prof from the HOA they were awesome, took photos of my car, and told me they would let their staff know not to tow me. Finally, I am able to sleep tonight without checking my security camera every hour to make sure my car is still there. I really appreciate that a tow company was genuinely willing to help me. Thank you!

These guys are awesome. My car broke down in a store parking lot. I called them and they went out there to pick it up and I didn’t even have to stay there to wait for them. They picked it up when they said they would and brought it to my house. They even helped me push it into my garage. I will definitely be using Fort Collins Towing in the future.

Charged $220 to a broke college student after parking in the lot off of Stuart Street. Not only was the no parking sign covered by a bush, but I had actually parked in that lot multiple times before and was never towed. The person who was supposed to get me my car was unpunctual and never even showed up at the lot after someone else had arrived and got me the car. Overall mediocre service, and poor business practices. (Preying on broke unsuspecting college students, something no one should condone)

Called to get my car towed and the guy tells me hes too back up except he sounded like I had woken him up. Clearly lying. Doesnt seem too interested in getting business and could have easily just said he was closed for the holiday instead of lying. The next service I called was able to get to me in half an hour which I think is pretty decent time for a tow. And another indicator that this guy was in fact not busy.

Extremely unprofessional and rude. Was walking my dog and came back to them hooking my car up. They refused to take it off the hook without $70 dollars cash, had to convince them to let me use card. Seems sketchy. Not to mention they tried to tow my car literally 15 feet away from where I live and sleep while it had a pass on the dash board the employee proceeded to talk down to me and then put chewing tobacco in his mouth smiling. They don’t care about anything besides making money. Avoid this company entirely. I get they’re trying to do their job but hire some employees with a little more respect.Reply to owner: That is actually comical that you believe that we threatened the driver. I have five witnesses there that watched your employees try to tow my car less than 10 feet away from a property we pay to live and park in. After we showed them where the pass was displayed. Not only that but trying to block me from entering my own vehicle which is likely against the law. You guys are running an incredibly dirty business and I hope no one pays for your services.

Stay away from this company they have towed my vehicle twice out of my own parking lot. The parking pass was in the vehicle both times. When I asked if they took pictures providing evidence as to why they towed my vehicle from my own home they said that they did but that they do not have to show the pictures to me. I asked if I could see the vehicle without entering it and look to see if the pass was visible they said no. After paying and entering the yard to pick up my vehicle I could see that the pass was visible but because I had already paid they would not hear my argument. I spoke with my hoa and it turns that they did take pictures but only released the pictures of a citation asking to comply with the hoa rules and that the pass was not visible because of my dash cam that is attached to my rearveiw mirror. So I put it on the dash as I was told that it only had to be visible. The pictures providing evidence that my pass wasnt visible have not been produced. Also when I called to ask if they would let me have my tools so that I could go to work I asked first why he had towed it. It turns out he was the one who had towed my vehicle the first time when it was decided that he had done so wrongfully they returned my vehicle. This man angry that I asked him this in the first place and stated when I towed your car back in January you should have taken that as a warning the time in January was the time I spoke of before where the vehicle was towed illegally. The man was aggressive, arrogant and was very defensive after he found out that he had already taken my once without warrant. All I wanted was to ask if I could pick up my tools so that I could go to work but he continued to push the matter that he was correct in taking my vehicle in January almost 5 months prior to this incident and that he was protected. Why he decided that he needed to tell me that I dont know but long story short this company has a long track record of wrongfully towing vehicles and if you look at the reviews making threats. This is the third review I have ever made and it is the first negative review. I only post this because when I tried to talk professionally to the business I was shut down and treated horribly. The only time they were nice to me was after I broke down and paid them because I didnt want to lose my job. Please Fort Collins Towing fix your obvious issue stop taking bad reviews. Take pictures of the reason why you tow peoples vehicles not just a slip that you then put on the windows. Also don say that you were correct because why then did you have to give my car back!

If the driver that worked last night (3/29/18 at 11:30pm in the Music District parking lot) is reflective of this business, then these people are extremely unprofessional. I ran inside to grab a cup of coffee without realizing where I had parked -my mistake, I admit that. I looked outside to see a man dressed in all black, taking pictures of my car. Unsure of who this stranger was, I pressed the panic button on my key fob and he ran away. Next, I saw the truck pulling up, so I ran out and got in my car to leave, before he had even begun setting up his gear. AFTER I WAS ALREADY SITTING IN MY CAR, the driver began lifting my car, which is unsafe and, I believe, illegal. I eventually got out and agreed to pay the drop fee, after which he proceeded to lecture me for 20+ minutes (smiling all the while) about how I had been rude to him by setting off my alarm and then by getting into my own car without asking his permission first. I understand that he was just doing his job by attempting to tow my car. However, everything else that he did and said was unnecessary and beyond unprofessional as I had already agreed to comply. It was bordering on harassment while I silently stood shivering in the mid-30 degree weather, waiting for him to finish lecturing me on tow-truck etiquette AND THEN do his paperwork and let me pay the fee. I would love to call out this driver specifically but his handwriting on the paperwork is too sloppy to read his name (probably for this reason exactly). Unless this driver sees some sort of consequences, I can only assume that his behavior represents the ideals of this business as a whole. Please prove me wrong.

I have never written a review for any business before but I was certain it was important to warn the general public of the lack of professionalism this company has. My friends car was being towed at 6:00 am (understandably, he did not have a parking permit for where he was parked) but when my other friend ran up to the man towing his vehicle in hopes to negotiate a deal or seek out his options while I was calling my friend to warn him of the ordeal happening with his car, the very vulgar man working for this company proceed to scream profanity and swear words at the top of his lungs. He even made a remark about how he should have shot him for running up to him. Like hello when you work in a career that tows peoples cars, or course that is the reaction you are going to get when someone sees their car being towed. Granted we are college students at an apartment complex designed for CSU students. To be threatening young adults with gun violence while clocked in at your business really goes to show the lack of intelligence and morals this company has. So fair warning to the general public if you see your car being towed by this company, do not approach the employee towing it!!!! They could be aggressive and dangerous. Im sorry let me rephrase that, they ARE aggressive and dangerous, I mean take a look at the horrible reviews they have.

Great experience! I think his name was Jeremy (sorry bad with names). Called and he was there in 20 minutes. Had a flat tire that I tried to change but one nut was stripped out. Jeremy was able to loosen the stirpped nut, jacked up my car, pulled off the flat tire, put on my spare all in less than 10 minutes in 95 degree heat with a smile on his face. I tried to pay, Jeremy refused, I tried to tip 20 bucks (twice) and Jeremy refused. Jeremy said, when you need a tow give my a call. Handed me his card and said have a good day.

They pick and choose who they want to tow. I live at bull run this girl been parking in residence parking we reported it because she was parking in my parking for two weeks instead of visitor parking they finally get her vehicle on the tow truck get to the stop sign to get on to vine but she gets there and starts begging and crying so they let her have her vehicle.but not my daughters they towed it and she had to pay 250.00 to get it back.so any girls out there see the guy in the black fort collins towing truck trying to take your vehicle go sweet talk him.she stood out her sisters apartment and laughed and bragged how she talked her way out of a tow.but I will talk to the manager about this!!!! 2/13/19

Lived here 2&1/2 months, they towed my car a month ago. Cuz my neighbors called and told them i had no permit on my car. Only had the car for 3 weeks too. I have 3 kids and didnt have time to get a sticker, getting ready for work, they took my car. While a car sitting right next to mine has been sitting since december with expired tags. As long as i have lived here!!!! Its been expired!!! They didnt do their jobs till someone called them to tell them. Hey go pick up this ladys car. Because my neighbors obviously suck. But seriously!!! My apartment complex has signs with YOUR INFO saying you have 24hr surveillance, and i pay rent. So this place pays you!?!?!?! to not do anythin!?! about the actual people who need their vehicles to be towed! When a mother of three who actually works everyday! And has a job! And pays for that car she uses doesnt need to be spending $355 the day of her birthday!!! To get her car back to make that money back. Wow. I will be reporting to the BBB. And yes i do have a copy of the papers you gave me when i picked up my car that night at 9pm. January 15th. If you wana call me. Im just floored by the Bulls**t..... Thanks

Person on the phone was unreasonable and wouldn’t give me a picture of the expired parking pass that he claimed was expired. Don’t know why they’re so rude when they’re making so much money pulling someone’s car.Reply to the owner: yeah I’m sure Colorado mandates that you charge 60 dollars for a “gate fee.” The least you guys can do is refund me that fee for having to wash my car to get all those bugs off of it. Also why can’t you also send me the pictures? I paid your fee and It’s my car that you towed so any evidence that you collected should be disclosed to me also.
