Appearance and uniform standards are very strict for our company. I’ve been using Roosters throughout the years. I’ve received haircuts from both Brandon and Anna and have to say they are the best haircuts I have received in my life. They are also fun to talk to while they work.I see a lot of complaints about punctuality and timeliness in the comments. Imagine if you’re in the chair and the barber is taking an extra 5 minutes for the person in front of you to really add finishing touches/take care of that person right.You do realize that same courtesy will be extended to you too right? If you’re not a douche to the stylist. Everyone leaving a negative review here - go back to your $15 super cuts 😂

Brandon and Monique have both cut my hair twice. The first time experience with both was good but the second time was awful. I some very specific needs when it comes to my hair, and neither of them takes notes or pays attention to the needs clearly expressed. They say they will but clearly don’t and botched up my haircut both times!!! They just rush to get you out in 30 mins! If you’re particular when it comes to your hair - DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Not good At all. I guess the one good thing about it was that it made me finally get a Google profile so I could write a review. HORRIBLE experience! I can’t even rate the service because Brandon was so rude and unaccomadapting that it didn’t even get that far. I made an appointment for my husband as a surprise Father’s Day gift. we are new to the state and live about 45 mins away and got a little bit lost. We called and notified the receptionist that we were running about 10 mins late and asked if they would still be able to see us. They responded that they could. When my husband got there, BRANDON scuffed at him and told him he would not see him. He began to argue with my husband saying that we said only 5 minutes late (I know for sure we said 10 because our maps said 10) BRANDON also suggested in a snarky way that we should have left earlier to be on time. What a disappointment!! my husband and I both work in the service industry and know that life happens and always try to have some understanding and grace for the customer. this was NOT the case here at all. Turns out, after reading other reviews there are multiple bad reviews on the haircuts Brandon gives anyhow, so I guess we dodged a bullet. in conclusion, don’t waste your time.

I was surprised with a haircut from my wife as an early Father’s Day gift since I work on the actual day. My wife has been working in the Beauty industry, for over 15 years, anywhere from cutting and coloring hair, managing a salon to running her own Hair & Makeup Business for Weddings. Where I’m getting at is that she typically cuts our family and my hair. This was supposed to be a nice treat. We got lost on our way into Folsom and called the shop to inform them that we were going to be 10 minutes late. The young lady who answered confirmed it was ok. When I arrived, no one was at the front desk. There were two people in the back talking. After a minute or two Of waiting I was greeted by Brandon who I had the appointment with. He stated that I was 13 minutes late and that was almost half way through my time and he wouldn’t be able to see me. Brandon was condescending and flat out rude about the whole thing. I wonder if he speaks to all of his customers like that. He said that my wife called and stated that I was going to be 5 mins late which was not true since I was the one who called saying we were going to be 10 minutes late. I guess when they being productive in the back room the young lady who answered the phones must’ve given him incorrect information. I did notice his appearance to be pretty sloppy. His hair was unkept and his patchy beard needed some attention. Needless to say, I wasn’t the only one in need of an appointment somewhere else. How would anyone be ok getting a hair cut from someone who can’t show up to his job looking presentable? Or why would I reschedule another day after the way he treated a potential new client? I think I work in hospitality and I understand keeping to a schedule with appointments and reservations is difficult, but there is no reason for the attitude. Keep it to yourself and do your job to the best of your abilities. It’s what your there for. I read the reviews from Roosters and have found that I was better off not getting a haircut from Brandon. His lack of attention to detail and following direction might make his customer service skills the strongest part of what he has to offer. If you can’t show up ready to work and provide a service then stay home.

The staff here is great. Ive had my hair cut by no less than 5 stylists over the years and theyve all given me a great experience.Theyre very busy but they manage to keep personable and friendly while they hurry through their day.

Waste of time, made an appointment, had it confirmed, show up and wait for 15 minutes and Whitney never shows. If you enjoy a business that doesnt value their customers time this is the barber shop for you, if you not then I would recommend elsewhere.

Cool place to get your hair cut. Staff are great people. Some may find it a tad pricey if youre used to those discount super sport cut chains, but you get what you pay for. Full shave available, etc. Been going for a few years now and never had a bad cut or experience.

I have to make an apology to Vanessa. I brought my 14-yr old son in for advise and a haircut a couple of weeks ago. My son has very thick, curly, long hair that was getting out of control. I completely misinterpreted the entire experience thinking initially Vanessa was not paying much attention to my son and had barely cut his hair. What was ACTUALLY happening was she was talking quietly to my son about how to get his hair under control. He had his hair thinned by another barber (terrible decision) and Vanessa was explaining that these inner layers that were cut short had to grow out before she could do much cutting as he wants to keep his hair long. She gave him pretty intricate instructions for haircare (wrote them all down, also) and hes following them EXACTLY as she explained. His hair already looks SO MUCH better!! I had initially given her 0 or 1 star on a review, and she was kind enough to call me and explain the situation. She was so pleasant on the phone!! Thank you, Vanessa! You are my sons hair mentor from now on!

We had a horrible experience here. I made an appointment for my 18 month old to get a hair cut at 10:30 am. We arrived 5 minutes early and were completely ignored. I also had my 4 year old daughter with us and I tried to keep them entertained with snacks while we were waiting. Finally someone came to the front and asked if we had an appointment. I told her yes at 10:30. It was 10:36. We continued to wait while she was in the back and someone else was receiving a hair cut. I did not see anyone else there. Another person came in and was taken back to get a hair cut before us. Now it is 10:46 and we have been there for 20 minutes with barely any acknowledgement and no reference to how much longer we would be waiting or apology for making us wait so long when we had an appointment at 10:30. It’s so hard to waste time when you have young kids. We left and my son didn’t get a hair cut. AND we wasted 20 minutes of our life there! I wish I could give roosters 0 stars.

I first went to Roosters about 3 weeks ago, the location being extremely convenient given I work in the office building across the way. During this visit it was very nice, the 2 attractive women working were great. And I got a great haircut. So today I went back expecting a similar experience, but that is not the way it went down. I walked in about 11am and was greeted by a gentleman kicking back (feet kicked up) at the front desk. Do you have an appointment? I told him No and he responded well I have an opening at 12:30pm. Well let me tell you, there was no one there getting a haircut and when I said well there is no one here, he responded well someone should be here soon. Its things like this that ruin an experience and make people never come back. And that is where I am, one great experience killed by a horrible one.Furthermore; Im no genius, but one $30 haircut ever 1-1.5 hours isnt good business. You would think you might want to assist a paying customer.

Great place to get your hair or beard trimmed up so you dont look like you have been on an island for the last eight years. Everyone is really friendly with a good atmosphere. Is a little pricey but you leave looking like a million bucks.

I love it here but my son got really mad when he asked for no more than 1” off and they took closer to 3” off. :-/ maybe we should bring in a ruler next time? May be a while before he comes back. Otherwise, every other visit was great!

Looking for a classic haircut and a truly unique experience? Look no further than roosters. The staff here is very attentive and make you feel very welcome. The lobby is errayed with magazines that men would actually read. They take the time to figure out exactly what you want and make it happen. I have been going here for a few months now and dont plan on stopping.

Didnt get my hair cut cause i was told there were no appointments available. I showed up 25 minutes before they closed. There were two stylists working and only one had a customer and had just finished up. Now there was no one there expect me and two stylists... Yet no appointments available. Listen, if you want to go home because its close to closing time, just say it, but I dont think showing up 25 minutes before closing is unreasonable to expect a hair cut.As I typed this review, no one else went into the shop... And they locked the door at 4:52.Thanks!

I have been coming here for a long time was treated very rude today when I came in to get my neck trim the woman that greeted me was cursing under her breath at me and openly hostile towards me and treated me like scum. I spend $60 for my hair cuts and beard trims and they advertise free touch up neck trims and I come all the time for that never an issue, so I am blown away by this places hostilely towards me about getting one. I will not be coming back to the Folsom Roosters. I will only go to the Roseville one from now on. Very irritated they have lost a good customer.

I went in expecting a shave and a hair cut found out that I was only booked for a hair cut. I drove an hour for a hair cut I could have gotten at home for free. The guy cutting my hair made no effort to attempt to find a solution.
