I was a walk-in and quickly got me in a chair. Respected mask wearing to keep everyone safe, very polite and great convo! Katelyn (not sure her spelling) cut my hair and did a beard trim. Turned out great and will definitely be returning.

Wow!!! This place is absolutely incredible! The front desk receptionist was super friendly and helpful. I think my son has had the best haircut he’s ever had! The stylus took so much time to help make it right. We will definitely be back!

They really did an amazing job. Not only did I feel very comfortable (which is important when a stranger is touching your feet for an hour) but they were welcoming and friendly. The beautiful lady behind the front desk was very hospitable and made me feel all warm inside! (not in a creepy way, get your mind out of the gutter)

My son had a haircut, beard trim and a manicure. The young lady took her time to get his cut exactly the way he wanted it. He was very happy. Everyone was very friendly and pleasant.

3rd time coming into this business. The first 2 times were amazing with the same stylist. The 3rd time I got a different stylist and paid $40 for a haircut you can’t even tell I got. I’m embarrassed with the way it made me look. I got a quick $110 quality haircut and paid $40. Will not be back. I will not be back here and I should of never left Sacred Barbers off Watt Avenue. I should be refunded my money.

I came in with no appointment not expecting an opening but hammer and nails was extremely accommodating. My hair cut came out amazing and everyone in the shop went out of their way to give me the best experience possible . I will definitely be going back .

Ive been here twice with two different barbers and personally cannot justify the excessive pricing here for what you get. If you receive anything other than a basic haircut that requires more than just trimming your hair (i.e. styling, fades etc.) then youre required to schedule a premium cut for SIXTY DOLLARS... And to be honest, the haircuts Ive gotten here do not match the premium pricing. There are cheaper barbers in the area who are fantastic at their craft for a much cheaper price (HIGHLY recommend Redwood Barbershop).Id say the only benefit you get to going here is a hair wash, and perhaps the fact that everyone is really nice. But thats about it.One last note- it left a really bad taste in my mouth my first time coming here when I scheduled a basic haircut (for $45), and after explaining to my barber what I wanted, she told me that the cut I get (which is nothing extravagant or special) requires the premium selection... Then proceeded to give me a subpar haircut. My next time coming, I scheduled a premium cut and once more received a subpar haircut. Not worth the $$

I love Hammer & Nails. The ladies are friendly and professional. You’ll get offered a drink while you wait If you’d like one - from bottled water to alcohol - whatever you want. There’s TV’s so you can watch the game as they’re working on you. My favorite stylist is Mandy. She’s awesome, friendly and will cut you’re hair exactly the way you want it. Her scalp massages are pretty killer too. If you’re not getting your haircut at Hammer and Nails, you’re doing it wrong.

Ive been a member of Hammer and Nails for over a year now. I stuck with them through the pandemic because I was tired of going to the Great Clips (no offense) of the world and never, ever getting the same haircut twice. I have yet to not get a great haircut at H and N! All the staff are really friendly and they try hard to make sure that my experience is a good one. I appreciate that!! Definitely my favorite place for a haircut (and the occasional pedicure)!

This is my second time at H & N. I was amazed at how much LZ remembered of my first visit, including conversations. She asked how the first haircut went for me. I was able to point out things like the hair at the back of my head was exactly the way I like it, so she adjusted her cutting strategy to clean it up rather than shorten it. LZ was very attentive to what I wanted. All the staff is friendly and professional. Once again I left as a very satisfied customer with an appointment for next month.

I took myself and my dad living with Alzheimer’s to Hammer and Nails. The objective is to provide foot care for both of us. Primarily for my dad to stimulate and provide maintenance for his feet. There has been a lack of personal hygiene on his part so I am taking initiative to make sure his feet are properly cared for.My only suggestion is for the nail tech to provide more verbal guidance for my dad. He doesn’t hear well and isn’t accustom to this type of care.Hospitality is a valuable skill to provide to customers. Then again, this is my first experience with a pedicure.I ended up signing up for a membership because I see the value for myself as well as for my dad.I look forward toward seeing results of this service to improve my own foot health challenges. A really great haircut and they were great in following mask rules everywhere in the salon and did a great job cleaning before every customer. Victoria cut my hair - easy to talk to and she did a fantastic job. Experienced, professional, listens, etc etc. Professional staff took the appointment and didn’t have the usual “too busy to deal with this” attitude when you typically call to schedule an appointment at other places. I will definitely be a repeat customer here!

The manicure/pedicure area is more luxurious than womens salons. We have our own TV with Direct TV remote and headphones. The chairs are wide Super kush leather seats. They really push to sell you a membership. Unless you plan to use thier services a least twice a month I dont see the value in it. A smaller membership package I would be interested in. Also a haircut priced for someone that does not have enough hair to style would be nice as well.

Sinister name but fair hair game, a barber shop near In N Out can’t complain, called in for a walk-in, lady’s says she’ll take care of me come sit-in, appointments can take up to an hour, gentle are the barbers they don’t give you flowers, lady name LV took good care of me, her gradual and detailed work was fascinating you see, this ain’t your usual barber shop, a whole experience is what you come and leave come see what’s it’s all about...

Victoria was kind and very professional, per usual. Will definitely be returning, if nothing more for a good shampooing.

Hammer & Nails is the best! Not only is my stylist a very skilled artist, she is also extremely personable and makes my experience totally enjoyable. The front desk staff is awesome too, always able to accommodate me if I have an extra need like a place to park my Mobility scooter, or let my friend who came with me sit in a comfy chair. They always remember my preferences, even down to knowing I like a straw with my beverage! Hammer & Nails always makes me feel very welcome, like a valued part of the community. I would recommend them to anyone with a little money to spend on their look.

I have been going here since they opened and have never had a bad experience. Customer service has always been top notch and very professional.

It felt amazing. I know everybody is different but for me would have loved to talk a little bit. There were moments of us looking at each other in an awkward way. A little conversation goes along way.

Loved the shop! Great haircut and beard trim! Very personable staff! The reason for the 3 was my wife had to trim the hair that was still on my neck in the back and their was pretty long hair still left On the scruff. He seemed to be in a hurry and that may have been my fault since I was running a few minutes late. I will definitely be going back and will review again! Hopefully I will be able to give them a 5! I really do believe every guy would enjoy the experience they would have at Hammer and Nails!

The barber was able to put my vision of a haircut into reality. The haircut turned out perfectly, and the shampoo and grooming they give you once the haircut was done is the most relaxing thing I’ve ever done. The haircuts and shave were great! Both guys were very happy with them. The only negative was themanicure. Her skills were on point. But they each had an appt at 11:00 for a manicure and there was only one person to do two manicures at the same time. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Being the day before the wedding that ate up valuable time by having to wait for one to finish before the other could start.

Needed haircut really bad. All the places in San Jose are closed because of the pandemic so I decided to go to Folsom since you were open. Use to think $40 was high for a haircut but you get what you pay for. Excellent job 2 times Ive gone to your place. Highly recommend getting your haircut there if you want a great cut. If I didnt live over 2 hours away I would go to Hammer and Nails exclusively. Pretty much visit everytime Im in Folsom.

This is what getting manicures, pedicures, and haircuts should be for men. Its a beautiful place with wonderful women working there too. Its a little pricey, but for the service they provide it is well worth it. They offer Macallan 12 for you, so you know this place is serious. Check them out.

UPDATE: Apparently their posted hours were a misprint and an updated review will follow after my first visit.All haircut places in Folsom close at 6. But not this one it’s open until 7 on Sundays. At least that’s what the google and the sign says. I’m here now at 6:20 pm on Sunday 4/14/2019 and the door is locked. Called and the phone goes to voicemail. Disappointed for them because I was going to be a first time customer and now it’s probably not even going to get off the ground.

Great cut every time

The service is great. Mandy always gives the perfect haircut. I drive 45 minutes to get my hair cut by Mandy and have been doing so for the lest 7 years. She is always very professional and knows how to take care of her clients and her attention to detail is what gives her an edge over everyone else.

Amazing decor and classy feel. Right when I walked in I was asked if I wanted a drink (water, beer, cocktail, etc.) the pedicure was phenomenal. Sarahfina was gentle and informational. Hammer and Nail is my go to for my grooming needs from now on.

Came in for a manicure, pedicure and a haircut. I had a terrible experience trying to book before, but they definitely made it up this time around and it was an amazing experience. Definitely got my vote for best salon in Sacramento for 2019.

I was told everyone was a barber but my stylist was not. Still a great haircut and an awesome place, just was misleading at first. Will come back, got a membership!
